Fixed playspace. Where head forward looking direction does not affect movement direction. If i start the app, looking forward to a.. say a fountain. And I have a green wall to my right. Now, irrespective of where I am looking with the head, by pressing right on the hand controller my avatar should move toward the green wall. Now, If i turn around, looking at the opposite direction of the fountain a press on the right on the hand controller should still move me toward the green wall.

You can move in any direction irrespective of where you're looking while tilting the joystick anywhere but forwards.

If I set up a Vive/Quest. Then I walk around that space, say 4x4 meters. with my feet I can move irrespecitve of which direction I am looking to.
Within only that tracked 4x4m space. With a controller that movement can be controlled further.
When I tilt forward on the controller, the avatar moves in the direction of my head, right?

Yeah, quest is just an android. I even plugged in an otg adapter and plugged in a pc keyboard once so I could reset my avatar. To transfer just hook the usb-c stock cable to your quest and phone and download an app called bugjaeger.

Most of my avatars don't even use dynamic bones or cloth because optimization means alot to me for my public models.

What I’d like to see is if dynamic bones are disabled blocked because of my bone limit (which I’ve left at default) I wish their avatars would get re-evaluated at their better rank and not pref blocked for being very poor

I have my limiter on to block all colliders if you have more than 256 dynamic bone collisions

It's not an impossible task to decimate it to 10k unless you are using like garbage mmd stuff

It’s normally not difficult it’s just if you get a model that is already triangulated it’s harder to work with, all of blenders good tools operate on quads, and the tris to quads command is not a very smart operation

Oh and you will need to remove the shape keys on the mesh you are decimating. They are just left over from seperating and won't do anything.

The fact that shape keys corrupt at all is a blender bug that could be fixed, there is no reason for it to happen from a data perspective

Every blender tool that modifies vert order should re-index the shape keys, many do, the ones that don’t corrupt them. It’s just poor consistency

Tbh shapekeys have easily become my most hated thing about avatar creation. Especially when you keep merging different parts around and editing them.

I hate trying to edit the base shapekey without knowing it well, my lack of experience tends to corrupt the shape keys and the base edit doesn't apply to the others >~<
