Quest is a stand alone oculus headset that doesn't require a PC.
Vrchat is cross platform with the normal PCVR headsets like Rift S, index, ect, and with the stand alone oculus quest

I'd say the quest is more like the Nintendo Switch of VR. Underpowered but incredibly portable. I know a lot of ppl aren't happy about the quest but it really is necessary to have that version around if VR really wants to take off.

Depends from what ive picked up from index controller users. Gesture toggle might be weird but it does actually work. Closing your hands picks up stuff so that can get annoying if uou are surrounded by pickups

it won't work right away, because rift s works differently. However there are ways to set it up for "it" to work.

I might do that, though haven't already because face locking the world feels a lot worse than using an external reference. I can see that it'd be a useful option though to allow your hands to keep moving.

I am definitely curious as to how VRChat allows for someone to force change you. Seems like a security flaw and a half to me.

It's a client thing, unfortunately we have to wait for the next big unity update to see if any new security features are added
The biggest thing is if the crasher Avatar creators haven't paid attention, the avas won't be available in the new update
So we will have less modded and crashed avas

Well, they could check for open ports, find you have some sort of unsecured network device which has ports forwarded to it for some reason and take remote control of it. Depends what's set up your end and how driven they are.
