I found that going from 90 to 120 is a noticable jump, the next to 144 less so.
Going down to 80 was pretty clear (and horrid), and when I tried going down to 60hz on my WMR that was special kinds of awful.

I use crocs with a powerbank and tracker zip tied to them, with a 3D printed tracker belt adapter sandwiched between the battery and tracker to keep it all extra secure, gives 12+ hours of battery life and the crocs are easy to slip on and off

Instances in VRC have three user limits.
The first soft limit, which is what you can see in the world info.
The second soft limit, which is double the first one, which can only be reached by friends joining friends, not joining the instance.
The third is the maximum for any instance and that's pretty damn high.

A lot of booth models aren't sold as the most optimized though. I buy plenty and just optimize and animate them anyway.
Half the time being several meshes, each with several materials, is warranted. But that's still another half that isn't. At least they do pretty well optimizing DB, I've noticed.

"flying" is also possible with advanced settings / playspace mover if you use fullbody tracking and is also fine.
however, any kind of active game influencing tools or modifications used to fly are bannable.
