The easiest fix is to play the oculus store version which doesn’t use it at all

My guess is you aren’t really getting 90. Without any sort of frame recovery, frame loss looks like ghosting

That is triggered by high GPU usage and generally never goes away. It only happens in VRChat

Could maybe be triggered by high CPU usage as well. Either way it sucks because I have to restart my game

Could be related to the insane lag issue when you close the SteamVR overlay

I have had this issue happen very reliably when a friend switched into a super laggy shader that duplicated his model like a hundred times.

Tried googling to see if Adaptive frame sync would be beneficial for VR headsets but then the reasons why it wouldn't work so well made my head hurt. VR is complicated

That's also a factor. Dynamic bone update rate is either limited or forced to 60, not sure which.

And then because of how it works, it tries to "catch up" when you're below that. So dynamic bone can lag you a ton

I just restarted vrc and it is fine for a minute or so. And now it is back to jittering. I don't know what else to do. GPU and CPU usage are pretty normal looking for vrc

Only VRChat is disconnecting, nothing else is giving a problem. Either way, I got disconnected a fifth time. I'm off VRChat for the night. Disconnecting every 10 to 15 minutes is ridonkulous. lol

It is my understanding that Valve is not targeting the low end/mobile market. The Index is a enthusiast, prosumer device intended for superior input/visual fidelity than other headsets on the market. It's going to be expensive. This will flood the market with cheap used vives though, just buy one of those if you're desperate :P

It's entirely possible to use the Vive with glasses but I don't want to scratch my glasses, and I like taking the HMD off or looking under them sometimes. With glasses it holds on to the glasses when I slide them off or try to look under. Just awkward.

I do room scale VR in an apartment that barely fits the minimum room scale room, and it works out okay. I do have to keep in mind not hitting things when moving around though.

My playspace is a decent 2x2 meters floor space with a bit of safe arm swing space on most sides of that.

Or is it just the camera being clunky as usual. I was talking to a dev a couple weeks ago and he said that it's hard to make a refined camera UI with all the backwards compatibility VRChat needs. Yeah thinking of buying and I saw a lot of mixed answers between the Vive and Vive pro, some are saying the difference isn’t that significant in resolution while some are saying the pro is way more immersive that you wouldn’t want to go back to a Vive.

You can use the vive full body with any headset if you have the trackers and lighthouses. But still. I'd wait for the valve index. It uses the same tracking system as the vive, but with many upgrades
