I'm a bit dissapointed to see that some people on vrchat can't have fun and are doing bannable stuff to destroy other people experience and computer. That's not motivating those who try to be nice and makes vrchat a funniest game. Of course, in private worlds people shouldn't have trouble but it's always nice to meet new people in public world to entertain their experience (with or without) vr. It's simply my thought.

All they can get is your city. It's the limit of accoracy unless they Google it and find a server you own or some hidden logs I guess.
It's an exploit in steams network or something like that, not much you can do

@vocal shard Its not a real exploit, it just logs the photon networking going on in the background. Every instance has a master that handles all the p2p networking. You can use that master to get the IP Adresses of all connected users and the associated usernames.

yeah, back in 2017 i only knew how to upload avatars without passing them through cats (i think it didnt exist back then?), i would rig them through mixamo lol
had no blinking nor facial expressions, and it was really low-poly

when i started playing in late 2018, uploading avatars became much easier to understand, since there were lots of tutorials now, and blender cats had been released, which made things much easier.

@reef creek I encourage you to save up for a HTC Vive if you want something quality that you can scale if you wish to have a more immersive VR experience. If you truly only want cheap head and hand tracking, Windows Mixed Reality Headsets are a cheap alternative for you. As far as needing a phone, you do not require one for virtual reality (when it comes to HTC Vive or WMR headsets).

The depth of the world around you is indescribable and things look as big or as small to you as your in-game avatar is. But you just need to play more. Make new friends, get active playtime (cant be AFK) and be social.
As Elire said things like blocking or reports can work against you so dont go around trolling or annoying users.

A lot of this game works client side. The server tells your client what to render, what happens. This allows for things like crashes because it's something capable through the client. Sending a virus this way is not something that can be done as far as i know

Hmm, if it's getting as high as 1000 something's definitely up.
I'm in the UK and get around 170 fairly consistently, I know some people towards the north-east end of europe and they don't get much higher than that.

Slow downloads isn’t really VRChats fault. It’s either on your end or slow routing towards their servers.

Then learn how to optimize it.
Then edit materials/smaller things or even simple animations like weapons for example.
And from there on you can pretty much learn anything you want as you have the basics good

Imo its best to start off with those anime models (MMD models) and learn the basics that way.
