What about all the other "long time avatar creators" who don't have your problems with the new unity. Uploading a model with the old unity makes models that don't work properly. Lighting in some maps will make your textures shimmer, mirrors will be bugged for your avatars, as well as the animation issues regarding rotating animation will be broken of you upload on the old unity with the current game

I don't know the state of proton dx11 support on mac but possibly.... vrchat does work on linux (required beta proton for text to show up). However, many large worlds including the pug do not load. Smaller worlds work

It is definitely not supported so you're going to be on your own. I assume you are planning to play desktop mode? Don't know about mac hardware support for vr

Yeah, you can animate the volume I believe, I was actually trying something similar but it got wonky

I had 2 audio sources playing the same song, but one was super distorted
Raising/lowering the volumes on both at the same time was acting up though

Technically lighthouse tracking needs only two visible sensors (the little round divots on the tracker) for absolute positioning, but naturally you want as many as possible to cover all angles and improve consistency.

As far as where you put it for FBT, the thing to remember is that it attaches to your avatars hip bone and locks to that position.

#

So it doesn't really matter where it is at all, as long as it's moving relative to your real bodies own hip bone.

#

Preference for where to place it varies. So far I've been placing mine on my front-left side, facing slightly forwards.

#

Means I can lie down on my right side easily if I want to lay on my bed without the soft covers obscuring it, or still lay on my left side whilst on the floor without too much risk of blocking it.

I got those third party trackstraps that are built for it. They're a little pricy for what they are, but do the job.

I did feel like the belt could be a little bit thicker for more accurate support, but it seems to work fine in practice anyway.

One nice thing with the belt, is that it comes with the correct screw mount, so you can just spin the tracker off to charge it.

There is actually crosstalk between oculus and vive 1.0 trackers. But the newer 2.0 trackers have better filters and don’t crosstalk unless they are within like 3 inches. Which can be eliminated with good tracker placement. But touching your toes tends to be out of the question. 😛

Each part of a finger can move on different axis. Hands have multiple fingers, made of multiple parts. Hence it's tempting to say the hand has tons of degree of freedom. But if you move a finger, are you moving the "hand" technically ?

You can merge oculus accounts to a regular VRChat account as well. Steam and oculus accounts are basically visitors which can become full accounts whenever

VRChat accounts can use both oculus and steam versions interchangeably

As far as I, personally, know, that just tends to happen. It might be severely worsened if you have lost packets and the like frequently, like I do. 8))

I tried that, but I can't get the textures to work, when I export it from blender to a .fxb file, and then import it into unity, I can't get the size right, but the avatar doesn't turn or move at all, it's like it's just a 2D image

and none of the textures transfer

I'm extremely brand new at this process, although not 100% new at blender

We've got tons of unique players every day reporting they can't load into the game due to a loading loop, favorites not working, the mere fact that a toxic player can deliberately log out you, crash you, etc, the lack of moderation, and plenty of other issues albeit minor ones
