I disclaim in the welcome message of the world that the avatars in the database are uncurated, meaning that I don't personally go through and vet any of them any more than VRChat themselves does (or could, I'm just one guy). If something is there, it's assumed to be because VRChat is okay with it. Otherwise people can report them, and if VRChat isn't okay with it, they'll remove it, and it'll disappear from the world as well.

I remove crashers simply because they cause service disruptions for everyone, and people's own avatars on request as a courtesy, but outside that I leave things to the Trust and Safety team to arbitrate on the rules of what's allowed. But yeah, personally I don't want anything in there that are disgusting, that their creators don't want, or that break the rules, and am quite content when they are removed.

It's partly why I don't do featured/endorsed avatars. I'm not particularly interested in curating content, just in providing the means for people to find whatever avatars they're looking for as well as I can (as well as for creators to make their work more easily findable). I leave specific featuring/endorsing/curating collections to avatar world creators.

Relatedly, back in the mid-2000's back when I played RuneScape, I would organize monthly events on RuneHQ where hundreds of people would go out to popular scammer/bot locations across all the worlds and mass report them. No idea if it really made a difference, but generally speaking if you're passionate about something you don't need permission to go out and find other like-minded individuals to join you and make a difference.

Part of the issue is what is "against" guidelines is up to VRC's discretion. Per community guidelines they quite literally "Maintain sole and final discretion to interpret these Guidelines" and "Enforce these Guidelines on a case-by-case basis". Having a secondary team operating on both their own personal views as well as me having to define criteria myself for them based on my views is... not something I desire to get involved in coordinating...

theres that esp for 11p tracking but i ran into a really annoying issue over the weekend. i had to resetup my gentoo install (and my windows VM for VR), I got everything working went into VR, got tracking was happy; left controller kept dropping connection thought it was dead, nah one of the dongles kept picking up the signal when I paired everything. dont know which one grabbed it so I had to spend a bit cleaning that up
