Earlier this year they did something that allowed you to see people who blocked you in the social list. However I recently noticed this is no longer the case again.

used a hairtie for the hip tracker on a regular belt and shoe laces on old sneakers for the feet

Has there ever been talk of VRChat creating a couple levels of friending? A way of friending people you want to find easily again, but they are not your closest friends. So like the closest friends can be the way friends are now, but then a level down makes them easy for us to see by location and some other things, but they do not have all the ease of joining us like our current friends do. This would be ideal for owners of groups who want to be able to quickly invite people who are online, but do not want to have a close connection to EVERYONE in their group of hundreds of people.

I respectfully disagree. For instance in real life I have really close friends who I give more contact information to so that we can stay closer connected to each other. Then I have friends who I would say are more like acquaintances who I enjoy spending time with and sharing some contact info with, but who are not someone I want showing up on me everywhere I go. They get less insight into my exact whereabouts, etc.

Yeah, I've thoguth of this, but then people who do not make the friends list, get upset that I do not like them enough to friend them. I try then to explain that I do not friend right away when I first meet people. That I take my time to get to know them first. Then they say, yeah I get that, but if you do not friend me right now then we won't be able to find each other online easily again later. Which means we do not have a chance to get to know each other.

But if I had a categorization of friend levels I could connect as aquantanance level to be able to find and meet up, and then later graduate them up to top level friends with more connectability later.

VRchat is hard to benchmark. And gaming laptops are an incredibly mixed bag, trending poor. Just look at the current fiasco with Asus power management failures.
One of my pcs is a 17" acer gaming laptop with an R7 8845 and an rtx4060. I got a fantastic deal, under $1k.
It does play vrchat, and being a 17" it has extra cooling for relatively low power parts. Driving my Quest 2 and Pro, it can do groups of 5-8 poorly optimized avis, but falls on it's face in crowded instances.

It's worthy of note that the 4060 is not super impressive performance over the 3060, but is extremely energy efficient. And that means less heat. The cpu in that laptop runs hotter than the gpu, and neither hit their hard ceiling.

Like the thing is I don't want to go lower performance wise than what I have right now. Another thing is that I am looking for a relatively thin device so I'm left with rog zephyrus or a razer blade. The razer blade is extremely overpriced even compared to the zephyrus so I guess the zephyrus is my only option.

But without any benchmarks I don't even know what cpu version to choose Ultra 9-285H or Ai 9 hx370

You know what's even better than a thin device? One that actually works correctly.
Both Razer and Asus/rog/tuf laptops are facing major issues and I advise avoiding.
As for cpu, AMD is so superior Intel is needing to be rescued by the government. Intel's chips are inferior, especially performance/watt, which is extremely important in a laptop.

Stick with Legion/Lenovo or Dell/Alienware, as much of a meme as alienware is, there's a reason businesses use Dell and Lenovo.

vr is not "most games", fake frame generation technologies like DLSS, XeSS, and FSR don't work in VR, so ignore any benchmarks based on other games.
But 5070ti and hx370 should be fairly strong, provided the performance is sustainable

There isn't a great way to benchmark vrchat, unfortunately. User generated worlds and avis have no consistency. Your best bet to at least compare one system to another for vr performance is probably the Steam VR benchmark tool

Yeah when you’re signed into your meta acc, go to the big settings menu and there should be a merge button in the top left

You have to copy a code then enter it in on the VRC acc on the website

Then clicking the meta sign in button instantly signs you into the vrc acc
