The overarching point I was making is that I would suppose, or certainly hope, that if vrchat didn’t put functional features behind the paywall of plus, people would still subscribe plenty just because they both want to support the platform they use, want the cosmetic stuff like stickers, thank emojis, prints and profile pictures, rather than feeling like they have to because they either use a lot of avatars, or as of recent literally can’t join certain instances because even though they’re an adult they don’t want to buy into vrc+
because if anything is going to drive people to do something they weren’t already, feeling forced to is the very last thing on that list, at the very least in the long term

i have never used a modified client, so EAC never affected me... it actually encouraged VRChat to implement a bunch of quality of life features, inspired by some mods, so it was a total win for me 😅

One thing VR CHHAT is missing (OR maybe I don't know about it'/ how do use it) Is, a way to bring people of interest together in groups. Meaning, I thought thats what groups are and people could join it based on descriptions. Basically a way to group people together based on their interests. I joined groups, but no one seems to be in them. Additionally, the group creation should be free. If you have to buy VRC+ to create groups, then that kind of defeats the purpose.

In my experience it depends on the instance type wether an instance will expire or not, invite and invite+ seem to not expire even after 24+ hours

Hii! I have a few questions regarding upgrading my vr setup

If I upgrade my pico 4 ultra setup to big screen beyond 2, which uses tethered instead of wireless

When I go to very high quality worlds now, it looks very pixelated and blurry, but when I go to normal worlds, it’s not blurry at all

If I switch to tethered, will the very high graphics worlds become less blurry?

Also if I get lighthouse tracking, will the avatar line up to my physical self one to one so that all my limbs 100% matches the position? Right now pico trackers aren’t that accurate, since my other joints are simulated, so when I cross my legs sometimes it doesn’t reflect to my real positions (even though it still crosses, but it’s not that exact)

Sounds like you might possibly be running out of VRAM and VRChat reduces texture sizes to keep up.

As for the avatar lining up with your self 1:1.
That has nothing to do with lighthouse at all.

It’s really hit and miss. Every now and then you’ll find a person who has a group of friends that are great people. Don’t let the overgrown children get to you. You’ll find good people eventually!!

if you go to a lot of different worlds that is. for example, do not go to the black cat or mcdonalds, those have a lot of chaos in them. I tend to stick to furry worlds I go to usually, they're generally nice and feel welcome, granted there are still the people that come in trying to cause trouble, like the roblox noob throwing tomatoes at everyone including me. just block them.

Small instances are best. I tend to only go to worlds with less than 10 people in them. I like small groups. 2-5 people kinda vibe. People are more real.

generally happens when you've got conflicting files in the same project, sometimes they'll play nice with each other but generally will break a project since they arent compatible (or it could be that some add-ons are more updated/outdated then others which could cause issues aswell)

The person uploading an avatar reducing texture size of small details in GIMP and in unity helps.

Also, sometimes making a texture atlas with the textures by combining materials and textures (material combiner plugin for Blender for example) and then moving the UV map's information (faces, edges and vertices) onto a square texture atlas helps too (in Blender or Maya after making the square atlas in GIMP or other image software).
