vr before index: small community, mostly vive and oculus, then index joined the party, everyone loved the index (i owned one) it arrived with half life alyx, valve promised more vr games, never released them nor talked about it, valve started ghosting the index when the quest 2 era begon, vr evolved, both meta and sony took vr more serious, vive sucks, oculus died, and new vr hmd's took the index's spot as number 1 like big screen and even kinda a quest pro using on pc thing. meta kept the vr space going, wasting money and making vr more of a real platform, valve kept ghosting, for 1000usd you can buy junk, now the frame is gonne be out and the hype is back, steam vr is a great 'engine' but the games are on sony and meta platforms let's be honest. there happy? xD

i know you vrchat people hate rec room for whatever reason, but. vrchat needs to add some things rec room had. rec room, to me, felt more full of life. vrchat is filled to the brim with slop. theres little to no adventure games. release some stuff rec room had to vrchat plus FIRST, then to the public. some ideas could be like;

• customizable avatars.
  youre currently not able to fully express yourself without the talent of having a powerful pc and texturing and modelling. sure you could commision, but thats alot of money, and some quest users cant do any of these whatsoever. rec room had a whole ton of customizability, while yes, alot of it was behind a paywall. vrchat could add a thing extremely similar, while some of the customizablity could be locked behind the currency vrchat has.

but this leads me to my next point:

• currency.
  i know it already exists, but add daily rewards. it can be small, like 100-50 currency per day, but nobody is buying your currency if they dont have actual customizablity to spend it on. i get portal skins and items exist, but nobody really uses those unless youre just hanging out alone with a few people in a world with your friends, goofing off. or you could add a seperate currency! free to play, but doesn't give you as much that the main currency gives you.

and finally.

• world creation.

rec room has alot of classes!!! (im pretty sure theyre called.) which, while this is great, its getting shut down. but reminder, all of these were made ON the game. using little pre made circuts to code amazing games!!! world templates is something you could add with this. i made hangout worlds for my ocs with my friends, and places for us to meet on rec room. vrchat, all im asking for you is to add stuff we might be able to use to enjoy ourselves and have fun and create, just like rec room did.

back in the day when vrchat was moddable, i had a potato pc and ignored vrchat existence for a good while

game development is not as easy as adding a bunch of things only because they look like minor details, you have to be selective because everything takes time and money
