helicopter transmissions have autostop functionality to let the chopper drift toward the ground for a relatively safe landing (at certain altitudes). they use the remaining momentum to keep the chopper from falling out of the sky

VSCode is just fancy text editor, on the same league as Atom, Sublime, or Notepad++. From my experience, the suggestion doesn't play well with C++ code.
I do C++ projects in proper VS IDE no matter what, as it has working suggestion based on the includes.
I mainly use VSCode for Lua and Python stuff.
