So, I tried to fix my Descriptor files missing in my mods by changing version, it did not work. Idk what to do anymore. I can't play kaiserreich nor can I play The Road to 56.

I fixed it, after 4 days or so of trying, woooo!!!! (I did a clean uninstallment of the game by uninstalling the game, and deleting all the files in the steam folder

im not sure why but the game is just completely frozen no matter what, i have tried a few thing in the launcher and steam itself but nothing has worked so far. a while ago i tried the demo and had a good time with it, but now it does not work. im not sure going on.
I have found that pressing the windows key lets it do things. like if I click a button in the main menu and then press the windows key it will then work, but freeze as soon as I go back to the game.

France declared on me (germany)
I bypassed the focus of war with france while I was doing it
and then canceled it because it hadn't finished the bypass yet

Whenever I try to load a large mod (over one GB) it crashed when the game almost gets to the main menu; at least I think that's the cause. It crashes with Dawn of a new century and Road to 56 Beta, but not with Great war Redux, Fps map, or RT56 for 10.x.x

So i've had this problem with HOI4 only the past week or so and im not really sure where to begin looking to fix it. All my drivers are up to date, i have no mods installed, verified the game intergrity, fresh install. Yet the problem still persists.
My Specs are:
CPU - I7-9700k
RAM - 16GB DDR4 3000MHZ
GPU - 1060 6GB
Storage - Moved the game between my HDD, my SSD, and my NVME drive and still get the same problem

Most likely hardware issue, when launching it have taskmanager on standby
watch CPU and memory especially
If you do regular self maintenance on your PC, check that all parts are properly back in place
and does it happen to any other programmes?
the last things you could do
re-install drivers for GPU and CPU, check your PSU
and check the temperatures
i used to have a laptop like that and it was to do with CPU going like just a casual 105 degrees

From what i could tell, my memory was fine, so i guess ill re-install drivers
I checked my temps after the most immediate crash (computer reboots in a few seconds) and my cpu is sitting at 43 so it couldnt be that
And its only been happening on Hoi4, even other paradox games are fine, but thankyou for the help

That might hint towards the error you're experiencing.
With USER replaced by your account user name.

and delete those two files:

then go on steam and do a check and repair of the game
and it should fix your font problem
if still it doesnt, delete all the files in the fonts folder, and then do a check and repair on steam

I've had this ongoing issue for many months now, I've tried reinstalling the game (onto current disk/new disk) and verifying the game files. Neither of which has worked. I also have failed to find any help online that works.
Upon launching the game, it runs normally and has no issues. However, the Installed Mods option doesn't load. Nor do any of my mods work. I've uninstalled my mods and tried redownloading them, but to no avail. So I was hoping someone within this discord could help me so I can enjoy my mods again, because frankly I get rather bored of just Vanilla HOI4.
I also receive this error when on the main Launcher screen saying Some active Mods are not present on disk:
When opening the Mods Screen on the Launcher, it goes to this blank screen and will not open anything regardless of how long I sit on it.

Game slowed down after last update, So after last update my game slowed down dramaticly. I had AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor, 3701 MHz, and 32 GB RAM. Any ideas how to fix it?. Also no mods

we have been trying for some time with everything we could find on google to fix it and nothing is working yet
