Both of them were in the war, both of them got capitulated, their faction got annexed entirely except for portugal who got thrown away at african colonies of theirs, france did not have any territories left.

I found an actual problem, not sure if it's cause of hoi4 or Steam itself, but when I exit hoi4 I'm stuck on the steam page where the game still says it's running. However, when I go manually to stop the game, I'm stuck on the greyed out stop button where it is stuck as that until I wait it out for a long time or until I kill steam with my task manager. How would I go about fixing this?

when modding there are times where if I used my debug shortcut and close the game, the steam page for playing hoi4 will have the button to play stuck on 'stop'. If you click stop it either fixes the issue, or becomes stuck on 'stopping'. Or, sometimes if I am changing versions, it will be stuck on something like '2% downloaded' and never change. Is there anyway to fix these issues besides restarting, which is what I usually do?

not stellaris but its a launcher problem in general and the Stellaris server just tells you to go to the forums

I know that, I want to keep more than my saves. My playlists and mods especially. I tried to keep my .launcher-cache file, mod file, playsets_backup file, save_games file, career_profile.pr file and launcher_v2.sqlite. But the game still crashed after doing that.

Hi, ran into an issue with my mods
Basically, I was developing some programming for my mods states files, and I exited the game to reload the states, and when I rejoined the launcher said something about the mod being unloaded from disk. I was able to relaunch it a couple of times afterwards and then it stopped launching the mod, and just launched the base game instead. I could actually play for hours. This is brand new. It first started in an MP match, was playing Germany going down the Monarchist route, after a restart due to other issues. I manage to start the Monarchist path, then after a bit. Open up the focus tree, hard crash to desktop. Borking a few other apps as well.

It's been a constant issue ever since, the only time I didn't do so was when I swapped off Germany to go Czechoslovakia, then it worked perfectly up until I tried to open the focus tree of Italy. Then it's just been crashes ever since.

To be fair, it might just be a hardware issue. My current PC is a little old, but haven't really had the energy to buy new parts at all.

ok, I don't know if it's a bug, but I play with Bulgaria(Ferdinand path), puppeted Albania before Italy demanded annexation. Italy declared war on Albania. The rest of my puppets(Yugo, Romania, Turkey, Greece) stay out of the war, so we don't have a front and it's a phony war tbh. WII continues as usual: Soviets get Bessarabia, Germany does it's thing in western Europe, declares on the soviets, Japan declares on USA and Allies. Italy declares on Greece, but again, no front on land, so I'm chill and not really fighting. Annexed Albania, then Greece.

game will not run in 4k and i have no idea why. im on a 4k display, load the game in borderless windowed, it runs in fullscreen at 2k resolution. i change to normal fullscreen, it runs in 2k. i change to windowed and set resolution to 4k and it runs in 4k but the window is vastly oversized such that i cant see the full window. i have tried everything. any ideas or fixes?

My HOI4 checksum is messed up but IDK why or how to fix it and it's preventing me from playing multiplayer due to 'having a different game version'. I am experiencing crashing in a save after running it for a few days. Checking meta.yml, it says LastRead is "client_ping (1)". From what I can find this is usually a modding related issue, however, I am not using any mods. How can I fix it? It is the save file that is the issue, as verifying game files, and reinstalling does not help.

How much fps are you getting? If its around 24 thats normal. Since HOI isn't a game that requires high fps so it limits itself to make your game run faster. Also fps mod only really helps if you're running on really bad hardware. Since graphics don't use much performance. Its the calculations the game has to do that use most of your processor

This crashing started in early 1944 I believe. In the game properties I set it to use proton(I use Linux) and back, which fixed it for roughly a year. However it no longer works, and nothing seemingly fixes it. Turning the AI off through the console stops the crash, until I turn the AI on again.

Hi, I'm having an issue with the division icons? I noticed it while playing a mod that the custom icons weren't showing up but then when I went completely vanilla hoi4, the same icons were present but the other vanilla icons weren't.
