Hi, I am playing as Turkey and while moving units through the territory that used to belong to Iraq ( now it is mine ), 20 of me divisions got stuck and had been stuck for few in game months. At first units of other countries moved through that place without a problem but after around a month of in game time 2 of Italian unites got stuck as well. I tried to move them to every province around them, as well as giving them new orders, changing which army they belong to and restarting the game. They also sometimes do something I can only describe as jiggling as if they were about to move to a province next to them but suddenly stopped before moving. Do you know a way to fix this ? I would really appreciate any help you can give !

For some reason the name of countries in certain mods change, for example in TNO. Italy is just called Italy instead of Regno d'Italia, or in Great War Redux, the Ottoman Empire is just called Turkey, or in Kaiserredux, Poland is called German Poland. If I were to have a guess as what the problems may be, I had a mod that changed the colors of nations but it was very buggy so whenever it changed the color of a nation, it changed the name also. Although I havn't kept the mod on in my games. Maybe it messed up some stuff in HOI4, but Idrk

I got a new PC a while ago, shift clicking in the build menu on too many states at once causes the game to crash without generating a crash log.
I also have some issues with the game screen flickering when clicking around.

I don't know exactly what is causing your crashes, it could be a multitude of things, the best i can recommend is that you verify your file integrity on steam, if that doesnt work, a full reinstall could work

outside of that I think its waiting for a patch or to rollback a version for a few days so that the live build stabilises for you

I don't know if this is the channel to report bugs but I was playing on historical as Hungary, managed to demand Slovakia, got it, cored it and when Germany did the Vienna award they stole Slovakia from me, pupetting them in my states (which are apparently still controlled by me).

i had same thing, and it says its still mine and i shows i can build there but doesnt let me do it, also when i played poland, demanded slovakia, got it and then later it went to germany anyway.... i think they fd up some focus checkmarks

research bugged after i got an event which gave me 10% research while the fort was at 97%

as such it wont unlock and will stay in this locked state where its completed but the scientist is still working on it and i didnt get it

many nations are renamed for some reason when playing mods rather then how they were supposed to be named. In Great War Redux, the Ottoman Empire is renamed to Turkey. Or in TNO, Regno d'Italia is renamed to just Italy.

They told me to do a fresh install no mods and deleted all folders of the game and in ddocuments and it still crashes after fresh install

soooo ummmm... why is focus tree for every damn country fd up? this is my 10th run of austria in 20 min cuz game keeps going crazy even tho its on historical... 1 game german events will fire in 38... other time they fire in 36 pullin me in -200PP.....

if the non aggression decision is finished but i press immediately after rally one, it'll start and disappear to the new ones, the game thinks im doing one and won't allow to pick a new one

does anyone have a similar problem that the game just crash and when you return to the save your entire country is just bugged, like your leader is gone with a big error seen, and then the entire focus tree got reset, etc etc.

even loading the previous saves does not help, it is still broken

even better is that the bug is so severe that when i tried to submit the crash through the paradox crash reporter (the thing that pop out when your game crash) the application just pop out an error message and they cant submit the crash as well

the game simply could not be started in the loading screen

and when compared to previous saves the file size is significantly smaller

however loading in other game playthrough (e.g. as japan) the game is completely normal, its just the soviet/russian empire save being completely wrecked

I bought hoi4 today and I've been playing for a while so I only understand the basics. I tried istalling the Kaiserreich and the Road to 56 mod but it crashes and says "this mod was made for another version of the game". is there any way to fix it or am I forced to play vanilla forever?

Hi I would like to report a bug, after Germany annexed Czechoslovakia, they set up Slovakian puppet although I demanded it before it, but the territory is technically still my i can build here what ever i want and i can also use their factories and population.

You can change the Version. Right click the game and press the lowest button and press Beta which you can change the version

after updating to 1.15 from 1.4.7 boliviar the game's suddenly blurrier. the main menu, loading screen, maps, everything.

all settings are default. no mods.

on dx11. nvm fixed it by deleting hoi4 documents folder.

as far as i know road to 56 got a day 1 patch for 1.15, try resubscribing to the mod

obviously the mod authors have/will update their mods. atleast the mainstream ones

ok so i playtested my playthrough. i was having problems similar to yours too. what i did was delete everything from Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV folder except "mod" and "workshop" folders (which contained my mods of course)

and it fixed my issues of blur, lag etc.

Hello! I have a problem: I'm currently trying to do a Trotskyst revolution in the USSR in vanilla, but everytime I try to use the "Increase Army Support" option, it always give me +30 Paranoia. It says it's random when it doesn't.
I tried 10's of times, and every single time it gived me +30 (the maximum value possible), even thought it only has 30% chances of happening...

What's wrong with hoi4 mods size?

I reinstalled game from disk C to disk D and bigger mods (like Kaiserreich or MD) have around 70 GB. I recently tried to reinstall, but nothing changed.

I'm having issues joining multiplayer servers. I just bought the game, trying to play with my friend. But every time I try to join ANY multiplayer server (including his), it keeps saying connection timed out.

Also whenever I host, no Server ID appears.

So I can see other people's servers, but can't join them. I can host my own server, but I don't get a server ID nor can I invite others. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game SEVERAL times, verifying files and everything.

if you don't have the same checksums you should not be able to connect, otherwise if you've tried everything (meaning reinstalls/verifications etc) then it may be your internet speed or Steam having issues

When I am researching the nuclear bomb and choose to not increase security the game just instantly crashes. I tried it multiple times and it keeps crashing. I know I could just pick a different option but I just wanted to report it here so it can hopefully be fixed

I've been having numerous crashes ever since the new DLC dropped - I do not know why or how this has happened, as all of the error logs (without any DLCs enabled) have been empty (if this is relevant?), no mods have been enabled when loading in, other than Millennium dawn but that was only once; and it is always specifically at 'Loading GUI' whilst also being at that specific part of the progress bar. I've tried reinstalling the game numerous times and verified file integrity a few times. These both have not worked as these crashes are still occurring.
