It really depends on how radical you want to go.
This runs the Gambit from just reinstalling the Program itself all the way to basically tricking Steam into thinking you never even installed it in the first Place.
If you want to go for that as attempt, two Options seem reasonable to me. Uninstall Hoi itself, then reinstall and if that fails, uninstall and clear Cloud Data, then reinstall. I wish I could suggest something simpler/quicker/whatever, but I have no Intel on what could cause this. All this can be done via Steam

Have taken a look at your Exception yet? Exceptions are stored in a Folder of the same Name in the Documents to Hearts of Iron 4. If we got nothing usable there, I believe, I have nothing left and would send you to make a Bug Report

Guys I tried all of solutions that existed in universe. I looked at all forums, reddit pages but no one worked for me I think I have Paradox Launcher curse.

Anyways My problem with this lovely Launcher is an error with mods and playlists. All the time that I want to play with modes I take an error named "The mod is not present on disk" and this is not the only error that I have, I also can't create mods. When I try to create mods our SUPERİOR LAUNCHER says "Mod creation failed, We encountered an error while creating your mod. Please verify the mod details an try again."But when I have looking the files I see the mod file that ı created SOMEHOW dear Launcher can't see the mod that he created 0.1 milisecond before. I'll definitely freak out please help me.

I've reinstalled the game and clean wiped the files followed by a reinstall.
Every time I play multiplayer with friends, time progresses to the 24:00 mark on the current day then the time pauses for me but progresses for everybody else. This ONLY happens in multiplayer and works fine in Singleplayer.

Where should I go to post something on an unintended mechanic I found in the Yugoslavian Tree? (When i release both Dalmatia and Croatia, it puts the 2nd Croat division in southern Dalmatia AND (the bigger issue,) it removed 2 Civ Factories that you start with in 1936 + will remove the 2 Nav Docks you get from Expanding the Spit Yards (which you need to do 1st,) still shows it as completed but just deletes the Dockyards and those other Civies.) Update: I did see if other factory giving focuses would have them disappear when making them into integrated puppets, but they didn't just the naval dockyard's focuses.

(side question: Am i not allowed to build Radar or Anti-Air Buildings inside my integrated puppets? Cuz I can build Airfields, Forts, Infrastructure, Nav Base, Factories, etc.)

I had a similar error and I think I know the solution. Go on Run, then type in "%appdata%", then press OK, after that find Paradox game folder and then Hearts of Iron IV, try deleting all the files in there(expect the save files if you want them) and then start the game again and the files should be refreshed, if the files are not recovered try verifying the integrity of the files and the data will be recovered(I DONT KNOW IF THIS WORKS ON THE NEW LAUNCHER THATS WHAT I DID A YEAR AGO⚠️ ⚠️ )

I want the Devs to know, that Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada wasn't renamed until 1970, it was actually called Port Arthur up until then (so during this game.) Additionally, the PROVINCE where Port Arthur is located in game (is correct) actually shouldn't and never did in history include Isle Royale (the biggest island in Lake Superior.) When that land was surveyed and agreed on between the USA & Great Britain, it was part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (never part of Wisconsin or even Minnesota (sadly)) decidedly so after the USA's short little "Toledo War". I would like to see it added to the closest PROVINCE in Michigan, the one that is the "smile" portion of the wolf. (The wolf being the shape of Lake Superior.) Suggestion: Would be to add Duluth, Minnesota, USA to the forest PROVINCE of Minnesota at the "nose" of the wolf.

You might want to disable your mods and try again.
If that fails, check the integrity of game files inside steam.
If that fails, try clearing your user directory from the launcher

you need to know what's causing the game to have a different checksum
It can be coming from mods or betas/versions of the game afaik. I don't think there's any other thing that change the checksum (I might be wrong though)

DLCs only appear in the launcher if you own them. If none appears it means that you don't have any
Do note that Death or Dishonor, Together for Victory and Waking the tiger were implemented in the base game and no longer register as DLCs

Hey, for some reason all my state names are called "state_[number]" Debug mode is off i did some modding a while ago, would that be the issue?

Why is it that when HOI4 is installed on a drive other than C: the modified HOI4 icon does not appear on the taskbar? At the same time, when the game is installed on the C drive, everything is displayed.

Some mods just don't work with the current game version, you can't really change (you would have to change the mod yourself) but if you have HOI4 on Steam you can change the game version so that the mod can work
