Due to the immense amount of mods you have and hoi4’s relative inability to multicore, the cores that ARE being used probably aren’t getting enough power to supply the gargantuan amount of calculations your mods are causing late game.

It’s got something to do with cloud saves, I think. If you save the game again, making sure it is saved locally, it should bring the menu back up again. However, you will still lose all armies and have to recreate them

I am experiencing an issue with the HoI4 launcher where when I try to launch the launcher through steam it will run for 5 seconds (while performing a launcher update that doesn't have enough time to actually finish in those five seconds), crashes, restarts, runs for five seconds (again performing a launcher update) and then crashes without restarting. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, deleting all mods (and unsubscribing from all mods), deleting HoI4 and Paradox Launcher files manually, restarting the OS and verifying game file integrity. I can still launch the game directly (without launcher) but I still need the launcher in order to switch between mods. I am using Arch Linux (fully up to date) and using native version of HoI4. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

So I figured out the issue. You know that event where Bulgaria takes land from Greece? Well apparently I was capping Greece too fast before they could take the land from the event and that was causing the peace deal to crash my game

So I just had to pull my troops out and give Bulgaria a chance to take the land from the event

After which I was able to take the land in the peace conference without it crashing

I found a bug, that costed me a lot of divisions . I lost a tile, but then marched back, but the game didn't respond and the tile was still counted as enemy tile. This way the "encircled" units wouldn't retreat to that tile even tho I have units there.

I've encountered a bug after the latest minor patch. Did the patch break what I'm about to describe? I dunno.

I can no longer create a Paradrop battleplan for my paratroopers. I've dropped them before in the same game so it's not likely a user error (although that possibility always exists).

After selecting the paratrooper unit and clicking on the Paradrop icon, several blue diagonal stripes should appear at the airbase but it no longer does that. Hovering the mouse over the selected base yields a tool tip that tells me that I cannot paradrop from the province and that I need transport planes to do so.

The airbase in question has the paratroopers (6 divisions of 10 brigades each) and 300 transport planes , and I've done this paradrop previously on another country within the past game year.

Hi, I have a multiplayer issue when playing with my friend. We have the same version, checksum and play with no mods. I have all game-changing DLCS, he doesnt.
When we start the game, my friend doesn't progress in-game. It means that his game progresses, but it is not recorded by my server (it works normally with another player in the same game). He is just stuck in an infinite lag, he doesnt catch up. Also diplomacy made with him isn't recorded. We both have a good connection. It happens with another host as well. Thanks in advance

Yo, basically you want RT56 installed and updated from the steam workshop as normal (you can verify game files to make sure it's all good) then download an older version of road to 56, I used a mid october version Biv found skymod (linked below). Then replace all the files for road to 56 in the steam workshop install folder EXCEPT the descriptor.mod with the ones from the older version, that way it tricks the game into thinking you have the latest version. then just load up your save and give it a try.
