Well the way Steam works is that it auto updates, but if the auto update breaks you're gonna have to delete the modfiles and then resubscribe to the mod

I've literally been having this problem for like weeks now, every time I try to start up HOI4 (without skipping the launcher) I get the error that my Paradox Launcher doesn't have access to the Database, and that it doesn't have access to a very specific file (that is not on my computer).

So I've been looking through Windows Defender/Firewall and giving HOI4 literally all the permissions it can get, but it still doesn't work. I've tried deleting all the files in Documents and Local Files then repairing/reinstalling the game. Literally nothing is working for this error.

Other times the Launcher won't even load and will be stuck in a constant loop of loading.

hi man, i got my hoi4 I have a problem, so when I want to play hoi4 as usual, I press the start button on Steam, but strangely nothing happens and it just says "running" without anything happening and when I stop the game it's the same, just says "stopping" without stopping the game

my friend is trying to play multiplayer, but any game he joins, he gets stuck on january 1st 12:00, can't update a single hour. It also takes a long time, like several seconds, to place a factory, do research, anything. Ping of about 7000ms. I know his internet is about 50megabytes a second, and much much better than mine, however this problem persists no matter who is hosting. He has also tried hosting and everyone in the game has the same issue. His computer is very good too, and very much up to standards.

Hello. I have a friend whos game doesnt progress even for a single day when playing multiplayer with me. He is the only friend who has this issue. With mods, without mods, its the same. We have verified the integrity of game files, done complete reinstalls of the game, nothing has worked. We are on the same version of the game, we both have high end PC's and we both have 100mb internet speed. And yet like i said, the game doesnt move for him. He desyncs immediately after the start of the game. It doesnt matter on which speed.

Whats his/your ping whenever you play? It could be an issue where the game says he's lagging behind because of that delay

I have been having a problem for a few months with geforce I have been unable to see my mouse and I cant click anything on the launcher or if I have it to skip the launcher (with and without mods) I have uninstalled the game twice. It works randomly (with and without mods) but then next time I launch it Its broken. Sometimes I launch it and it works then none of my keybinds work. I need help since I payed for the game and the service As Im posting this Im sending a similar Ticket to Nvidia about their service.

I have a weak computer. my computer cant really handle the game soo i decided to speed up the game via cheat engine. what i found out is that the more you put the speed the slower its is, but the more you decrease it the faster it is. is this normal?

It should be in your uninstall or remove applications in your settings if you are on windows

Look for Paradox launcher v.whatever and uninstall it

Upon opening your game again it will reinstall itself
