If you just stay in spot you are not going to encounter all the unique maps/events etc. So it only really makes sense that you keep moving

Atlases are infinite, they are randomly generated, the atlas will be shared for each of your own characters within a league, but everyone's atlas will be different

I mean, sure, there may be an absurd integer limit or something like delve, but I wouldn't really expect anyone to get close to that, at least not for a long long time

Plus, like you sort of got to, making a new character you still have crafting items and maybe even some leveling uniques. It makes that process much easier for myself in PoE1, and hopefully will feel similarly less burdensome in PoE2.

I want to try to get a ton of "twinks" to the point where I can run both Ascending temples (so firstAct3 not cruelAct3) without actually ascending. That way as they roll out new ascendencies, I can immediately pick them (if they don't do a reset during EA) if I'm interested in those new ones.

for ammys, there's life and res, there's +1 skill gems for builds that want that, there's attributes to fix up requirements and/or for stackers, there's crit, there's inc. es for es stackers.

let's say I have +20% phys dmg and +20% elemental dmg; how does this interact with abilities like the monk skills that say converts 50% physical damage to lightning damage
does that means a 100dmg calculation would go like
50 + 20% = 60 phys dmg (non-converted dmg seems obvious)
but then the lightning part;
would the elemental 20% apply to 60dmg or 50dmg? (does the phys 20% phys end up somewhere in the converted dmg?)

or any pointers to pages where I can read up on this kind of stuff (for poe1) would be appreciated too 😄

I died after the boss died at my ascendacy trial for the second trial. We virtually died about a second between eachother and the game teleported me out of the trial and I did not get to collect my ascendacy passive points for killing the boss because it teleported me out of the instance. I checked to see if the relic was still in the altar and it was not, I also talked to the NPC and he would not allow me to go back in. Is there a way support could send me a new relic so my character is not bricked?

you can wear 2 sets of weapons and for every set you can make a skill tree . As an example you got 1 fire and 1 lightning staff. So you put lightning dmg points in the set with the Lightning wand and fire in the fire one . Or you can just do a main tree if you Use just one weapon

as soon as you start dying in the atlas maps in endgame is where you lose xp (10%) regardless of your level

That's intentional, you have 1 portal for your maps, if you die it's over.
But the map device just isn't interactable, bunch of people with the same issue in the area after campaign. idk why, it's what I meant when I said I assumed I had to go to my hideout to continue doing maps

Basically some skills consume an ailment, making the afflicted enemy no longer have that ailment, instead gaining a bonus affect

iirc firestorm has this, so for an example :
Enemy exists
Enemy gets hit with fireball, is ignited
Cast firestorm, eneny is no longer ignited because it got consumed
