#2┃build-planning

i expend with a shockburst (could be something else, but it's high AS and seems pretty synergistic)
then siphoning strike in -> roll out
planning to use max flat dmg crossbow, and a gain as phys% staff with good AS for herald chaining
cus i'll be using the qstaff for clearing (shattering/staggering palm)
but expending stags with xbow on bosses
at least that's the plan atm
i'm worried the stags will only hit with 2+3 with this distance
i think in general this is a solid plan for bossing cus
you can always toss mirage archer on your xbow set as well
with plasma burst, shockburst rounds, grenades or somesuch
another option is stormblast bolts on the mirage archer + you chuck an explosive grenade between each movement rotation
Firestorm starts to feel better and better
LMAO
to be fair there are 1button stag setups too
just like
chuck on a runeforged pillar and hold tempest flurry down
and that's it
Are ghostly bells no longer Cullable/don't work with Killing Palm?
I was thinking of siphoning strike + falling thunder combo
with falling thunder also being used to expand the feathers for soaring ground
yea true
But firestorm and Reap were also things i wanted to play since 0.3
There's plenty of time to make multiple characters before 1.0
I’m hoping they will realize the issues and allow us to support the stampede with increase or decrease to speed by making it have a projectile tag or something
super doubtful haha
That would go a long way to making it something we can build around
but yeah there's definitely some awkward points
i think you can make some really good stag builds as is
but it takes some finessing
Oh no way they let us decrease the projectile count of the stampede
The numbers are way to high
I was thinking grenade stags because it would naturally fill in the ramp up time of the new unique xbow
The cannon
ya grenade stags look decent
i think you'll be fine
ur blasting from range anyway
so u should be hitting bosses with leaps 3+4
it's the melee skills that are more sus with stags (while bossing)
Issue being that spears have low base damage
problem with spears is they have pretty low flat damage
like you could run around on a rhoa and just chuck spears / shoot arrows but
the stags will do pretty low damage if you don't have a giga weapon
Why is everyone running blood mage for reap and not Abyssal Lich for example
abyssal lich's offensive benefits aren't that crazy/build-defining outside of proj speed i thought
Bloodmage just gives you crit bonus
well just, but the base crit is nothing cause reap already has 14%
Ohh but i forgot you can overbuff with remnants
anyone know what the puppeteer keyword means
no one knows yet
Can someone give me some ideas as to what skills synergies are there for the sorcereress? Im attempting to create a new league build. Idk much about the sorcereress ascendancy but was looking for something in the likes of tri elements with crit and elemental ailments
Best bet is to check other builds then, jungroans limitless is a good start
Limit stacking Stormweaver sounds like something youd like
What exactly is that? Is tgat like exposure stacking?
Essentially there are certain skills called "limit" skills which baseline can be cast on the ground once with a persistent effect like firestorm or or orb of storms. But you can increase the maximum amount possible of these skills through different means (most notably the stormweaver ascendancy)
The build levarages this limit to stack a bunch of different duration skills on top of each other that all cause different ailments and a lot of compounding damage
You can checkout stormweaver builds that take "Multiplying Squalls" for extra limits: https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds/vaal?class=Stormweaver&passiveids=52229%2C38578&heatmap=true

What i will be running possiblyy is basically firestorm Stormweaver
any info on the gemling qualty effects?
Sounds right up my alley actually
Gemling legionaire getting some buffs?
More of a touched rework, now his gems get alt quality
some of which will probably be busted
Ive ran Witch hunter which turned out to be my favorite in Poe2
what would be the builds that can carry sekhemas?
Uh first run or 2nd or 3rd runs?
Whatever you want from a build Spark will do it
full carry for 4th asc
i might run spark comet stormweaver
Comet will be a problem
Cause they nerfed leech
I wonder how big of a nerf to Blood mage it is actually is
stormweaver didnt use life leech as far as i know
we now have the json for the new skill tree, are we waiting for POB to update or whats going on here
Does anyone know if they gave an ETA on the POB discord yet for the update? Saw the .json for skill tree was released and the db should have all the new skills, but I don't know if it's just the support gems holding them and whether that means we won't get it till leaguestart
What is the blood mage nerf everyone's talking about?
This is the only blood mage thing on the patch notes
OH the generic leech change right
Yep
CoC will never be viable again
unless theres a new unique that directly allows it
Do we have a RF level lazy build in PoE2 yet?
I still feel like that nerf only affects high hit frequency leech builds (which is still a bad thing, but there's plenty chunky spell builds)
It'll for sure be doable, but you'll have nowhere near the ease of the last league. I seen a few people rank it as D tier, horrible league starter, may turn into something after u can dump a few hundred divs onto a character
So thats kinda similar to last league too
That's people being dramatic about core mechanic nerfs
Are you sane exile?
It is worse, but it's not as bad as people say it is
Well nobody really knows, can only just do simple math and speculate wildly.
Closest is probably infernal legion
This happens every time a core mechanic changes. People will move from those builds in dissatisfaction with the change, then 2 leagues later people will flock back and be like "oh it's not that bad"
This happened with the attack speed crunch in PoE 1
It's perspective -- and it's the start of the league. People choose a practical path to midigate their struggle, collect currency, and aim for harder builds to gear like CoC
Across the board, CoC being low tier at the beginning of a league is incredibly accurate
it costs a lot of start up.
Not all coc builds required leech/thesis
True but generally the ones we're probally thinking about now aren't those niche ones
Nerf to comet is minimal, losing vertex is some damage loss
In fact, people still sleep on recoup as a mechanic because it's duration is nerfed compared to poe 1, but in poe 2 its in such higher availability that it's completely broken
You can easily get over 100% recoup without any on tree
I played 0.4 second wind with DoV coc frostbolt comet and the build remains the same minus vertex
I will immediately go for it without knowing anything else about it. Or maybe I will see what pohx is playing just to copy him.
Guys is there any build that utilizes black flame covenant and palm of the dreamer?
Pohx is playing RF... now that PoE2 has it im willing to bet
Damn that was the fastest spammer shutdown ive ever seen.
There's a couple of RF equivalents I've seen pop up since 0.1
Yeah I have no idea how it's so fast here
But it's nice
that was a spammer? I just saw a weird image pop up and was gone before i could see it
Yeah
It's a bit clunky as the damage actually come from an aura around a minion, and it was nerfed pretty hard in 0.5..
Yeah was an auto joiner. Bro was deleted, banned, and his mother slapped before I could even see the first image
Yeag but Raven Flock is a "True RF" lmao
So is blasphemy + decaying hex?
It's not good, but as completely-auto damage it's still impressive if you int stack hard enough
It's like 200k/s?
that does not work
I think you can scale decay now since it's a "Skill" that gets triggered when the enemy is cursed with the supported curse
how could it impress you if its physically impossible haha
It worked in pob last time I checked
oh god
That was 0.3 though
if pob says it does
then surely
it does /s
you can put the support in the meta gem, and nothing will hapen
0 damage
pob is never wrong /s
I suppose the wording should be altered on blasphemy to clarify it a little more to say that it converts a curse into an aura to specify the gem tag change
if blashempy decaying hex worked do we really think anyone would be running raven flock lmao
Otherwise it's fine enough wording
Raven flock speculation looks like it's going to have way higher dps so yes lol
This means other supports will scale Decay now right since its a triggered skill?
Still wont work with Blasphemy, but other supports should effect it now
That's interesting
have GGG given us the file format for in game build guides yet? I want to get my league starter ready
Hand of Chayula decay
+Chaotic Freeze
Yeah, that could be an interesting setup
Not my cup of tea so i won't bother, but it seems like it could be good
What about Hand of Chayula>Dispair>Decaying Hex>HexBloom>Chaotic Freeze
Hex bloom spreads the curse, the curse triggers the Decaying hex skill
Could be a good low value auto
Lacks in damage for rares, but likely has incredibly good clear
depends on if decay and bloom work together now tbh
hopefully it will but in the chance it might not im gonna test it on my Chonk
I will say as someone who's been running banner builds in poe 1 the last few leagues there, it's a shame banners in poe 2 have no shenanigans to them
I imagine they will in the future, but I'm dying for a Perfidy or equivalent rn
Do we know all the new Uniques already? cause could it not be in the new Deli Endgame stuff
It could
I kinda doubt it though
If they're going to add it any time soon it'll just be in the 1.0
Not that im aware of
Still debating on bleed flameblast starter or just bear tank
I want my first martial artist to be absolute peak, so I'm definitely not league starting that
Im just gonna Glacial Cascade Monk, and then figure out my actual build after when more info comes out lmao
That's very fair
I already know that my bleed flameblaster is going to be largely unaffected by any changes because it basically solely relies on core mechanics and like 2 uniques that weren't changed in the patch notes
The bear tank will likely require tree changes, but I'm 90% sure it'll be a small power increase
I had a build idea, that was kinda out there, that i gave up on.. .Black Flame Ring + The Three Dragons "Sp-Icy n Hot Chalupa"
use cold damage for ignites, sounds good on paper but my POB was a mess
blackflame + three dragons would be chaos shock btw
Three dragons is
Fire=Shock
Cold=Ignite
Lightning=Freeze
Cold to Ignite and Blackflame to deal Chaos Damage
So the reality is that chaos would apply to ignite no matter what with black flame actually
Ring not Covenant
It doesn't shift around the application values it just shifts around the sources
So blackflame would always do ignite
how did you managed mana sustain ?
I know I would do Cold Damage to initiate the Ignite, the Ignite would do Chaos Damage instead of Fire Damage over time
Yeah that works
You could also equip one of the chaos ailment supports and have chaos do 2 ailments
Add Xoph's Pire, and Tull's Stillness and i can still freeze and shatter for HoI
Can't you only have one lineage support on a skill at a time? Or are you just talking across multiple skills?
Xoph's would be on HoI... Tulls would be on something like Shattering Palm
Yeah that's a pretty good setup
With that setup you could run a pretty clean omni ailment setup
It sounds good until i got POB to do the calcs correct, and my ignite damage was less than 10% of my total damage
Charged Staff would also Freeze
Yes, you'd have to do dot multi scaling, which isn't good for anything else
There is the alternative of double dipping on poison and ignite with blackflame though
However that is kinda milquetoast
I stopped with the build trying to figure out how to turn the Ignites into Freezes thinking i could start some HoI loop
The new Frostflame nova looked promising, but Three Dragons bricks it
Wait i have an idea...
Siphoning strike crit -> back bell shock -> siphoning strike crit - > repeat
its not that
Yeah I looked into that too, but sadly there's practically no benefit
A lot of % mana efficiency on gear and tree
While I think that's not going to be affected, you could also try a scold's bridle recoup loop
https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds/vaal/character/Vomii-2056/Vomi_DoV?i=1&search=name%3Dvomi it was second wind league so less availability of items
@twilit schooner i have cooked a ignite only build that does respectable ignite only damage
the only way to really scales without using hits is using ignited ground, and would require 2 blackflame rings
because the tree itself gives almost no ignite magnitude, and blackflame will give 100% increased each
Ignite is just teh Red headed Stepchild of Ailments atm
the math on it is good
Where are you making up for duration? 100% reduced is a hell of a negative
but it wouldnt work for a martial build
question , minon and companioms are considered ally?
its ignited ground so duration doesnt matter
Oh right duh
The only dot I've been able to scale well is bleed
I haven't looked into poison though
Bleed has higher base magnitude via aggravate
The only advantage with my build is that Blackflame Ring now makes Wither not expire while ignited
the problem with most ignite builds is its based on hits, so to scale the biggest ignite, you have to scale the hit, eventually you just kill the boss with your hit and the ignite doesnt matter
aye
thats why ignited ground is the best "scaler" of ignite, because it "ignites as though dealing x hit"
After aggravate, bleed has 30% magnitude of hit as over time, and ignite has 20%
And Wither stacking + Dispair would help scale the damage, but again whats the point when my DPS is ~200k and im getting 18k of that dps from ignite
thats why it sucks with martial
because of what you just said
and a real ring over blackflame will almost certainly be more dps
it is sadly
I just wanted a Purple Flame Chonk, without being a spellcaster
thats a second part of the cook too, is second weapon set saitha's spear, will aggravate ignites to do 100% extra damage
i dont know what dealing 100% extra damage means though, is that just taking the amount of what it is igniting as and then doubling it?
(in this context, I know what damage as extra means generally speaking)
probably just doubling the dmg per tick
Is there any way to scale the damage prevented by deflection? I see one passive on the tree and a socketable, but nothing else. Having trouble searching item modifiers right now, so I am wondering if there is anything there.
100% extra damage just means the ignite is doubled damage without using the binary on/off of the "double" wording
the one on the tree and socketable are the only ways currently
Thanks.
I wonder if it's worth using this on an ele bleed build to do multi scaling of aggravated dots
Because between bleed and ignite aggravation that's 70% of a fire hit as dot
it owuld 100% be worth if you want to do a build ONLY scaling bleed/ignite/poison, because they ALL scale off of hit damage, but then you have multiple scaling vectors
Generic dot multi is surprisingly common, but in lower value
Not enough lower to be a major negative though
there is ailment magnitude on gems
so you could giga juice that with adorned
(bleed/poison/ignite)
Using poison in this instance is probably a no-go purely because I'm not saving for an Original Sin lol
Oh ok
I'd build other shit for Monk, but a stupid joke i made has forced me into making stupid Monk builds as memes, I just wish they were viable.
Acolyte of Chalupa... uses Bells... Taco Bell Chalupa... Taco Bell known for Lava shits... Spicy Chalupa.... Icy Hot Chalupa... my mind goes on an on... I now have Bong'k Martial Artist, and working on a meme name for my Culling Strike MA build i have in mind...
are there any solar orb builds or is that not a thing?
If you're blood mage then it's "ele can bleed" not "chaos can bleed"
got it
BUT
well then you could do physical
and then xophs to contribute to ignite with chaos
bonestorm
or bone cage or whatever
Yeah, but there's not really a way to aggravate poison as far as I see though
poison has its own supporting cast in the tree
but even just baseline poison is likely good enough
So that'd result in 90% instead of 70%, and you'd need to scale 2 damage avenues as opposed to 1
Bleed Ignite seems like a decent build with the new Blistering Bond changes
Bleed as Fire Damage, and Ignite... only have to Scale Fire damage
OH BLISTERING BOND JUST MAKES IT SO YOU DON"T HAVE TO BE BLOOD MAGE
THAT"S HUGE ACTUALLY
does attack speed affect winding up animations?
Yes, but it doesn't affect "+# time to attacks"
Aggrivate Bleed and Ignite for 2x + 2x Dot Fire damage
Yeah this shit is turning into a stormweaver or lich build
It ends up the same as before (70% hit as dot), but you don't have to be blood mage
Is this a precurosor to the actual attack animation then?
no its a Flat ammount of time added to the time it takes to perform the attack
Woah elemental bleed?! My two favorite things combined. Definitely a build id love to try
Attack speed doesn't modify this value, for example. Also they take place in different parts of the animation for different skills.
Blood mage is fun
I should look at some blood mage builds then
ok so Saitha's Spear for the weapon since only it can aggravate ignites right? would the build be a mix of Spells and Skills?
90% of blood mage builds are not elemental bleed builds, but ele bleed builds are incredibly good and I'm sure there's some great guides
It would be a spell caster that you whip out the spear for single target on
Gotcha
the math on ignited ground:
the screenshot doesnt have either blackflame ring equipped, level 30 skill gem, and unoptimized tree. it also has only 6 flames of chayula active.
it is also NOT supported by searing flame, which would double the ignite magnitude:
200% increased ignite magnitude from blackflames
96% increased ignite magnitude from timelost jewel with 8 notables.
50% ignite magnitude from tree
20% ignite mag from socketable
366% total ignite mag
100% MORE ignite mag from searing flame
732% ignite mag
taking ignite base from 20% to about 150%
additional 100% extra from optimized flames of chayula
additional 200% extra from volitility
there is 26% faster ignite in tree, so 26% more multi
80% wither from socketable and tree (multi)
50% from despair curse (multi)
So using a base hit damage of 100k (insanely doable on cheap AF gear) the ignited ground will do 1.54 million damage per second assuming all buffs are being used.
what skills are you using there? That looks exactly what I'm looking for - something high movement that triggers stag as the main damage
My ele bleed flameblaster was dealing 2 mil dps against xesht, so needless to say you won't need aggravate except for single target
gotcha
It's always surprising how cheap dot builds are, even if they require some bullshit combinations to get there
so if you wanted to do an ignite ONLY build, its entirely possible to scale it to around 10 mil dps
with enough budget
this is shockburst rounds to proc stags from a range, then siphoning strike forward -> dodgeroll backwards to build distance
I always build low for low end costs because I never play a single build long enough to make it expensive
but i'm not sure if this is better than just grenade-rolling at a distance
i'm also not sure if it's better than just hitting the air with like an ice strike or tempest flurry -> siphoning strike -> dodgeroll
cus it's hard to go crit on crossbows compared to staves
I've been toying with voltiac grenades, and also just rampage bear to move, do damage but the rage generation might be a problem. Rampage would meet the movement + damage requirements and might clear maps fast, but rage generation mightmake survivability difficult
rampage doesn't work
What are you thinking map clear would look like?
it's a sustained attack; you would not proc stags with your steps
only the initial hit (if even that)
similarly trigger skills like caltrops would not work, as you can't trigger a trigger with a trigger
That is good to know!
that make sense! Glad I didn't start a character just to be disappointed later
i think there's several options for mapclear depending on your setup
1 option is to go shattering palm with quarterstaves and just dash around to mobs
What about stampede? You would have a 2h so stags could do more damage
and have the shattering palm aoe iceshards supplement the stag damage
and potentially weave in a staggering palm with prolonged duration now and then, for owl feather procs (for the soaring ground)
the most likely interaction is that your staggering palm projectile proc on each shattering palm usage can proc owl feather if you have one up (so every 4-5s)
so it would semi-automate your soaring ground (though you'd still have to staggering palm now and then to refresh the buff)
//
stampede is an option for sure
singletarget would be a little awkward going maces
cus there aren't really any mace skills with really high in-built movement
or super-short animations that facilitate movement
tree would also be slightly weird since you're opposite side of the 2h/mace stuff
i think realistically
the issue with stampede (and most options) is that you'd have a better build just not going stags
hi , am not the sharpest tool when speaking about builds, but i want to try the SW zookeeper in 0.5 a starter, i think i have made barely decent passive tree anyone can suggest me on gems and equip/uniques?
and focusing on the stampede itself
//
i'd say the other primary clearing option is grenades
since you can grenade-dodgeroll with no delay
(grenades are unique, they have no pre-attack animation, meaning you can dodgecancel them instantly)
so you'd kinda just rolypoly urself through the map
there is also ofc the option to do rhoa with spear/bow
but your stags would be weaker because 1h flat damage
and there is the option to do attack movement skills like tempest flurry or whirling slash
but whirling also awkward cus 1h damage + AS focused tree = low dmg stags
tempest flurry maybe with runeforged pillar of the caged god, but that's another build i suspect you'd just do better dropping the stags entirely and focusing on the tempest flurry/AS scaling via ritualist instead
i'm having a tough time really figuring out a great stag setup
the fact you ideally want to expend them at a range while bossing is very problematic
Hi, how does armour interact with deflect?
Does the incoming hit damage get reduced by deflect or armour first?
Good to know, ill be aware of that when searching for one
armour first
made a simple path of pathing 2 alike tool https://pathofpathing2.aurecueil.uk
will leave it on hosting for some time
True! Hey I'm really happy to bounce this idea off of someone - its been difficult finding people talking about stags on the poe2builds subreddit so I appreciate it.
So you are thinking of using crossbows (or grenade) + rolling or dashing/siphoning strike forward for single target, and then using staggering palm and shooting now and then for mapping.
Have you considered the gathering storm? I've never used it before but I heard it received some changes
It is good you told me that sustained attacks won't work, I also considered the dragon breathe attack
Q: Is there any content creator or source showcasing hardcore builds?
there's not a ton of hc players left; alkaizer always plays hardcore
oscrix plays minion builds in hardcore
they're the only ones that are coming to mind that play exclusively hc
my current thoughts are either
grenade+roll for everything, both mapping and bossing
or
shattering palm (+occasional staggering palm for owl procs) for mapping, siphoning strike forward/rolling backward and either shooting a bolt or whacking the air in between (since you ideally want to use the stags from a range so they hit on leaps 3+4)
That makes sense. Were you thinking of the new crossbow (grenade launcher)? What grenades were you thinking?
I was thinking voltaic since it is both lightning you can just scale that, and also I've been looking forward to a voltaic grenade build haha
yeah potentially
little hard to say without seeing its mod pool
if my understanding is correct though, it has a built-in basic attack grenade with exceedingly low cooldown
so purely from a stag proc standpoint, it'd presumably let you get away with not having to invest in any CDR/grenade CDR
otherwise it'd be some mix of flash/explosive/voltaic grenade most likely
How do you empower the grenades so the owl gets proc'd as well or do you want to avoid that? Is fast moving grenades an issue?
flash grenade typically has the best standalone clearing of any grenade, since it's got the highest base radius
but it's also got only 1 base charge, so you need to invest into quite a bit of cdr if you want to mostly clear with flash
owl just gets procced automatically on using an active projectile attack
so whenever an owl feather is up, your next grenade throw would proc it
i don't think fast moving grenades would be an issue - that would mean your soaring ground would extend in front of you quite far + quickly, which is desirable
you wouldn't really be leaning on the grenades for most of the damage/coverage; they'd primarily be for proccing stags
and then the grenades would just supplement a little bit
if the grenades do too much damage relative to the stags, well, stags stink and it's better to just play grenades with 2 in the owl line
is there any tools that have been updated to use the new tree data yet?
online tools though
thansk!
pob is not updated afaik
online tools are a lot better than nothing
@west wharf that makes perfect sense
In terms of scaling stag damage, are you just thinking + lightning skill level and + lighting damage modifiers?
Also, have you considered molten blast or with the new Brutus lead sprinkler?
- lightning level is a difficult stat to acquire
it's not really on any items synergistic with stags as far as i can see
generally, level scaling is not as important for attack builds as it is for spells
spells get around 2x the damage% per level as compared to attacks
it's nice if you can get some, but it's not worth it if the opportunity cost is high
the only potential source of +lightning gem lv i can see being worthwhile is if the extraction on mjolner is +1 lightning gem lv
but it's unclear if you can socket a mace extract into any martial weapon, or only other maces
so than only scale with + lightning damage and physical damage on the main weapon?
you can get other elements; doesn't necessarily have to be those
and movement speed to trigger it slightly faster haha
it's nice if you lean into lightning/phys, but there can be multiple reasons to get some cold/fire damage
for example, if you want to do herald of ice armour explosion chaining, you need some strong source of flat cold or gain as extra cold%
Anyone know if scold's bridle is procced off channeling skills?
if you want to use a node like engineered blaze for the large aoe%, you would need some form of fire damage to ignite
not 100% sure, but i assume you'd keep taking dmg as per the continued channeling costs?
as it doesn't specify on attacking/casting a skill
Thanks! Lastly, have you considered using new Brutus lead sprinkler with stags? Thanks Novo, you are very knowledgable. Do you have any connects with the Novo Amor welsh artist?
So I'm just theory crafting here, but does something like a bonestorm spell totem + Lorrata spear, spear field poison build sound possibly feasible? Basically trying to scale infinite poisons with constantly applied impale damage. Sounds super awkward. And would probably need contagion in there somehow to spread the poisons since herald of plague only spreads one stack...
This was an interaction that was specifically patched out in PoE 1, so I want to make sure
I'm jsut testing it in standard
ya i'm not 100% sure, better to test
there shouldn't be any particular synergy with BLS to my knowledge
it's a 1h weapon so the flat on it is going to be relatively mediocre compared to 2h weapons
even if you scale it up with a good amount of STR
i'm sure you could make something work if you really wanted to, but i don't see any clear synergies off the top of my head
mace skills generally also just aren't that, well, fast
so they don't facilitate movement-based recharge quite as well
Oops I think I meant twisted empyrean, if you find a way to convert the deer into cold damage would taht synergize?
it is kinda a waste, and you would need to trigger it with mace attacks (stampede for example)
But then you go into lots of mana, and you take nodes to take mana damage first before hp to survivability?
It works
i think you could make it work, but it'd fall into that category of setups for me in which
i'm not entirely certain how much value the stags are actually adding
i think stampede setups in and of themselves, when you build them out properly, have super strong coverage already
maces are generally a little clunkier in the single-target department, but they don't have a great setup to enable stags while bossing
it's not like, undoable
True. It is a shame that the movement 10 metre requirements can't be triggered by things like teleporting abilities. It makes sense, but it would lead to interesting builds
when i was testing i ran molten blast
and in that quarterstaff strike -> roll back -> crossbow shot weave
i was doing molten blast with a mace instead for the ranged proc
it was...okay
it didn't feel stellar
but if you got enough damage to kill a boss in a couple stag rotations
i don't think the slower animations/rotations would matter a whole lot
this is all just theory anyway
in the end stags have a passable damage%, so if you get good enough gear you can eventually make any idea work to a decent degree of success
so don't let me discourage you from trying any of these setups
(except the ones that straight up won't work, like rampage)
it's just kind of difficult to quantify how much value stags add (or don't add) to many of these setups until we get a feel for stags ingame
my suspicion is that most of these setups simply do better on their own haha
if you've seen a fully specced out stampede setup, i think it should be a reasonable expectation that the stags would contribute next to zero while clearing
stampede with herald chaining insta-wipes nearly the entire screen
the stags wouldn't really have anything to hit
no, he was just my favorite music artist for quite some time
@next aurora I have two of these rings, what would you suggest I use them for in what build 😅
Would it work for permafrost bold witch hunter?
it's pretty much exclusively used for herald of ice chaining
Oh so it will stack with herald of ice?
herald of ice requires you to shatter mobs to proc
polcirkeln lets you shatter mobs with just chill, which is a much lower threshold to reach than freeze
poe.ninja
Explore economy and build overviews for the action role-playing game Path of Exile.
any idea if this is still viable with the changes to shock conduction?
@west wharf do you have a backup plan for your huntress if stag doesn't work out?
the usual
owl line with twister, obarrage, or grenades
those are likely to be stronger anyway; they're just boring and mostly known quantities
so it doesn't feel like there's much room to cook and test stuff
it is very boring, and everyone will be building it so the market prices for those items will skyrocket!
if stags don't work out, depending on how much i've saved up i might look to just make a redemption or nightfall character instead
Would this be huntress or a new character haha?
i just noticed smth
could there be a reason druids/mercs/warriors play overleech?
there's a bunch of buffed leech nodes that gives quite the modifiers
e.g.
not too sure; if redemption then probably respeccing ascendancy to Amazon; if nightfall then probably a different character
this also
What is the speed of life leech ?
Ahh, so with 10% leech it's 4k max .
reduced to 1300.
That's a pretty hard item to swallow .
Unless the 50% more still applies .
And then you leech 4k/3 * 1.5 = 2k per second
False. So many people get this wrong. BIS items will be high...but you don't need 100% bis 6 mod items in this game. Everything else will be vastly cheaper as supply will be through the roof
Leech is based on dmg of the hit unless otherwise stated. Capped leech is X% of 400k dmg in 1 hit
40k* in .5
did that change?
Yes
oh ok
and you have 1 leech instance
^
leech seems unusable from just reading, but have to see how it actually feels in game
Ehh, it depends what's the availability of leech %
idk, a constant guaranteed stream of 1.5k life/second sounds pretty nice
not for life stacker/blood mage, but for everybody else
and how you getting that?
leech on weapon or gloves for phys builds
I know its 1 instance, but I thought the change was was 400k dmg was the capped dmg in % damage leeched from hit calcs. I know theres %of max life in other things like flames
40k, not 400k
gotcha so i added an extra 0 lmao
something to note with singular active leech, is the STRONGEST leech is always active
I so think people might be underestimating the potential of leech now. It's weird because it scales very differently from how we're used to, with amount leeched actually being probably the best way to scale it as opposed to the old system
Yeah, the big question is basically how available leech% will be
the worst part about leech this is way is that poe2 has a really big suffix pressure
resists, rarity, offensive stats and now leech too
leech % is on jewels and decently available on tree
leech on jewels and maybe on gloves might be the play but ye
Also if there are any changes to leech resist mechanics. In theory leech resist seems like an obsolete mechanic with this change
its not obsolete, its been confirmed to be anywhere from 75-90% with the new iteration
fkin hell
That seems weird to me
For example Blood Mage with the Vitality Siphon will basically leech entire life in one second
another one of those "your build doesn't work because we've said so" rare mod ffs
no
not without significant investment
I thought the point of leech resist was to combat how much leech scales with damage, but leech doesn't really scale with damage anymore so not sure what its role is to still be in the game
Unless leech resist applies before the 40k cap
Oh. Then it matters a lot less
it still kinda scales with damage tho
the cap being 40k means u still need to do AT LEAST 400k dmg (assuming 10% leech) IN A SINGULAR HIT
hmm i think its after actually
there aren't many builds that hit 400k single-instance dmg
I thought as long as you did 40k damage you were hitting the cap.
yes
iirc it's 40k leech
you are
it's 400k hit -> 90% reduction for leech -> 40k leech instance -> you leech % of 40k
At least without taking leech resist into account
and leech is % of dmg?
i think its this
If you hit for a million, you reduce it 90% but to max of 40k and then you leech % of that, if you leech 100% of that 40k or 5% doesn't matter
If you hit for 200k it gets reduced to 20k and you leech % of that 20k
which for bloodmage, would be 8k, but if you cast it while decent high life, your leech will reset when you reach full hp, and wouldn't be able to send out 40 comets in a second
i mean there are, just not that many
auto cast commets are one of them
hotg warriors, shield wall maybe? (before the nerf)
big spark builds maybe?
youll be able to send out 1-3
idk
It seems the conclusion is that overall there are enough unknown details about leech that it's hard to say anything for sure without testing or confirmation. There's a real chance that people are overestimating the nerf and it's actually still a pretty good form of sustain, at least with investment
not many come to my mind rn
poe2 builds tend to be more focused around multi-proc hits
As far as sustain goes Leech sounds quite decent for slower hitting builds
its 100% still a good form of defensive sustain, it is not however a good form a "resource" sustain for the problematic cast on builds
That makes sense
As far as provision of infinite mana for 1000 Comet Per Second spam it's dead
Quite a few nerfs to the monk tree. I was excited about all the "faster start of energy shield recharge", then noticed they removed like 36% at the start
these 3 notables alone seem really good for leech tho don't they
ward/life/guard/ev/deflect is the way for monk this league i think
Depending on the exact details Martial Artist might still be able to have extremely high ES recharge uptime with the combo node
i mean significantly worse than they used to be, but niche for people using leech consistently as a recovery resource
Oh for sure, I probably am still going Wyvern Martial artist. They also took a lot of % increased damage out of the tree as well for crit builds which hurts.
Since a lot of triggered stuff like heralds can count as attack damage you could potentially build a ton of combo every hit
I don't understand. Wouldn't the lower level gear or non BIS items for a highly meta build still be more expensive than the lower level gear or non BIS items for an off meta build?
There's higher supply for a meta build because of people selling their old gear as they upgrade
How it balances out in the end varies
Usually Meta items are a bit more expensive though .
But honestly we have very little idea how the end game crafting will look like
I think some people dramatically overestimate the price of meta builds. Not to mention that usually the most hyped up league starters are hyped up specifically because of not being super hard to gear
I understand that - but I guess it depends on the off meta. If it is very off meta, it wouldn't even be really sold and with limited supply it could be expensive. I can see off meta items going both ways (supply > demand or demand > supply)
I think it's a huge overnerf though. Dropping the faster start small nodes from 15% to 6% all around the tree just makes it so they are absolutely never taken.
Has anyone that has done bonestorm totems previously have any opinion on how fast they attack/how well they spread their attacks?
I want to try taking advantage of bonestorm impales and splinter of loratta, to basically apply a ton of mostly impale damage poison stacks, since loratta base damage is so low. But I worry that what I'm imagining will just be too awkward for clear.
Like Twister's getting hype as an amazing speed running/league start build. Kind of by definition, that kind of build shouldn't be hurt too much by its gear being more expensive
I think it depends on how realized the off meta build is. (and when I saw off meta, I mean no one really has guides for). Maybe obscure is the better word
If a build stops being a good league starter if it gets too popular then sometimes that means it was never a good league starter in the first place
🙋♂️ Is firestorm off meta
Well what do define as stoping being a good league starter
Are we talking finishing base end game quests /
Or just running some end game maps ?
Some builds can get to end game but struggle there unless they get some really good gear
RF is a good example in PoE1
For me the question would be can it do pinnacle bosses. They removed tier 3 bosses from the game, leaving only tutorial and normal versions, so the floor should be lower.
I think people's goal for a league starter vary but at a minimum I would say capable of farming currency effectively in maps without needing to buy any expensive gear
Basically good enough at making money either SSF or on a fairly low trading budget to be good at farming the currency required to upgrade/respec/reroll to scale further
I think that is accurate
Occasionally there will be a build that's really good that requires a rare but very off-meta unique but not much else, so it can be a good league starter as long as the unique is cheap due to low demand but stop being a good league starter if that item becomes meta and more expensive
They want to buy gear before inflation hits hard to gear up for another character, sometimes even investing in buying up certain gear they think is going to be popular
But I think most of the time, a league starter should either be SSF viable or at least reliant on gear that's common enough to not get too expensive even if it's meta
it's all relative to each other. almost every build can reach hard maps, the difference is the amount of gear required, firestorm for example requires much better gear than essence drain for example. some skills are just exceptional with shit gear
Like if a build gets hype because Ben showed it's really good for reaching and farming maps in SSF... Well then that was SSF so it should still work even if it becomes meta (unless crafting changes make it no longer good in SSF of course)
does anyone know a good resource that compiles every passive node/gear/skill gem/etc that has a given tag or keyword into one referenceable page? Like if I'm trying to stack/scale life leech I can see every instance of a life leech mod across the whole game to sort out
poe2db
No, because no one is playing those off meta builds, so there isn't going to be anything really on the market. So you aren't going to be getting a ton of like 80% bis items as you would be able to buy on a popular build.
Wiki will list most
Leech recovers an amount of life, mana, or energy shield over time based on hit damage taken by an enemy.
Right. Too bad the game doesn't have an in-game request item/stats feature. So a player can just reclick an item they want to see, see who is requesting to buy it for the highest, and sell it to them
we have that...we have always had that, and its even easier with asynch trade
I think I am getting my wires crossed in terms of games, there is a way to put up 'WTB' items in the in-game feature via async now right?
currency, yes. Items you can search for whatever mod you want on any item and if it's available for sale, you can buy it
But it has to be a specific item type, not a 'I want any spear that has +lightning X and + Y'?
Right, thanks
Oh I meant you can't put in a request to want to buy
If you can put in request to want to buy, it would make buying obscure build items easier
no, there is no WTB gear request as it's completely uneeded with asynch trade
we have enough hideout warrioring, we do not need WoW levels of blacksmithing in poe.
anyone got any plans with martial artist ?
idk what to do after campaign
Is that true - I'm not sure I would say its completely unneeded? If I am building something super obscure, to the point that when people find this item they just sell it to the npc vendor instead of putting it in the auction, wouldn't it benefit me to have a WTB so before someone sells to npc vendor, they can check if someone would be willing to buy it for more?
If enough people have a WTB for it, people might start putting this specific item for sale, potentially at a higher rate to pull the price up
It makes building off meta stuff easier, and helps with build diversity and build exploration
People list their good items regardless of build. No one is going to suddenly start listing some 1 ex trash they have because some dude is making a meme build...plus that person needs just 1 item for their meme build. I don't think you are familiar enough with how robust trade is in this game.
I plan to improvise based on what seems fun
Actually firestorm is quite good even with mid gear supposedly
It struggles with clear mostly
I don't think you understood what I said, but thats okay.
Whirling Assault
i'm playing shattering/herald for clear and flicker for boss/rares
The combo nodes seem really promising with heralds, Aelith's chimes, and any good power charge spender
I understood what you said. I'm aware of what WTB is, and I don't think it's even remotely needed in this game. This isn't wow where a blacksmith is sitting on some ore so he needs to go to find someone to craft something for to earn gold
I think the question is how many items people don't bother selling now that they would actually bother checking WTBs for and selling if they found requests for it
Or how many people's crafting-for-profit projects would actually be influenced by WTBs
I think it's very possible that the answer is "very few"
If the item you want is craftable then finding out how to craft it yourself would likely be easier than buying it from someone crafting it, and ultimately most people crafting items would still either be crafting for themselves or for whatever's most meta
I feel like that node is overkill....the one before it I think is good enough for most every build, outside of some niche things, but thats just my opinion. I'm sure theres some build out there that can utilize it fully, but think for most, just the one pointer is good enough
can I use iron reflexes to convert all evasion to armor while also getting deflection from the evasion? or does that not work?
I think I am wrong. My experience was with project diablo 2 and I thought there was the ability to list WTB items and falsely remember that was helpful. Instead I think it was people making servers and listing their game name as WTB. @slender furnace @median kraken
Well, I was talking about both nodes. You might be right that for most builds you only need the first one. My guess is the double combo of the second node is overkill for most builds as you've said, it might have niches, but even for builds that don't need the extra combo a lot of the second node's power might just be in getting high uptime on ES recharge. Right now I kind of expect the first node to be a very versatile offensive node while I think the second node is more of a defensive node with niche offensive uses
First node is es recharge
Its extra combo plus es recharge
Servers with "WTB" in the game name was definitely how oriignal Diablo 2 trading worked, but that was with no real async or searchable trades. Honestly I think that kind of thing is how GGG originally envisioned PoE trading with WTB and WTS forum posts and in-game billboard parties.
But that kind of died when poe.trade (originally poe.xyz) showed up, and players got too used to its convenience for GGG to take it back. Which is how we ended up in the state of them spending years kind of very slowly and reluctantly adding trade QoL before they finally added async trade.
Oh, maybe I had the two nodes reversed
Although I do still agree that in the end getting only the first node will meet the needs of a lot of builds. The second node has its uses but is more niche
I think it'll allow some powerful interactions letting some builds generate and spend combo extremely quickly, or possibly enabling niche builds that want combo but don't want to use any strike skills or want to do weapon swap combo shenanigans
But it's not gonna be something you just add into any build that uses combo, especially with Martial Artist having so many other good nodes
For sure. I mistakenly thought that project diablo 2 had an async WTB as well but I was wrong, they only had WTS async.
I used to be a big advocate for sync trading like in d2 being a old school player, but async is just too convenient. Even in games that provide both via a trading platform, like a dark and darker, 99% of players end up trading async.
I think sync trading has its charm but also has huge issues
PoE spent a long time in a kind of "worst of both worlds" spot where it felt like it was missing both the benefits of sync trading and the convenience of async trading. I think GGG spent a lot of time scared of the consequences of making trading too convenient while also knowing that any trade QoL they added could never be undone without riots from the playerbase and that it was already too late to go back to their original vision of trading happening through forums, bulletin boardfs, and ingame chat
Any thoughts on using melee totems? All I see is spell totem archmage talk
I think from a computation/programming perspective it usually takes more resources for the devs hosting the servers for sync (depending on what it is, if its like d2 its a whole instance). From a player perspective it takes more time. I think the charm is there are adhoc deals or connections that would be lost otherwise. But I think the resources used and time lost for most players make it not worth it. Then there depending on the sync trading platform, the opportunity for scammers to take advantage of it.
There is, probably from the devs point of view, an interest to make trading not too convenient. Maybe they want players to continue to use a build that isn't working well with the chance they discover how to make it viable instead of instantly going to the most popular meta build at the first sign of pain. I can understand why they are heisetant
where did they confirm this? Would love to read about it, and is leech resist calculated before or after the 40k cap
i dont know specifically, but people who have tested this have figured out the leech resistance formula, and ggg said they are lowering the value of the leech resistance on monsters in the patch notes
I'm banging my head trying to build a coc comet build, there's too much things going on poe.ninja pob and too much way to scale it, cannot decide which one chose
so however the existing formula was calculated is how it is still calculated, just with a lower leech resist formula
They are also normalizing it, so does that mean the white mobs are getting more resist, and rares less? or will rares get less than what white mobs have now, dont think this is known right?
correct i dont think its known
Anyone got builds planning for Shaman Wyvern build ? I want to know how they fit the new armor->ele damage nodes.
yes that sounds fun
I want to try flickerstrike with bells
vat are people playing for ssf,
I think i know the answer to this but does reduced charges used count for Concoction skills ?
anybody has done a mana stacking comet build this league? what was the price for one with 5k mana or more on bloodmage around 3 months ago?
mine roughly 20 mirror
you can get it working with a couple mirror
jesus christ I was expecting 3k divines 😄
guys, do we know whether orloth's legacy needs to be fitted in exactly the same item type, or just the same item class?
poe2db.tw
Destroy a Kalguuran or Ezomyte unique item, extract one of its unique modifiers, and turn it into a socketable rune, and put that in same item class.
says item class here
Anyone crazy enough to think that you can take the new facebreaker gloves and level a blood mage and str stack and use blackflame covenant and use all the fire mace skills and run around hitting everything with fire chaos dmg lol (Nevermind its spells doesnt work for attacks dang)
Are there any monk builds that dont use the bell?
tempest bell, or bells from martial artist?
tempest bell
i'm not using tempest bell for my shattering palm/herald/flicker build. I'm sure there's plenty out there that dont use it
is the new monk ascendancy actually going to be good or are casters going to just outshine it like everything else?
if they don't change totems, totems will be the best build, coc meteor at the high end probably
yea i've seen a bit of the drama surrounding archmage totems
yeah its just giga broken if it goes live without changes
full offense scaling defense with no downside
its busted as fuck
New player what should I start?
Iceshot
Plant Druid
Grenades
yah palsteroan wont shut up about how great totems will be again
plant or grendades. Do not start ice shot as a new player. As someone thats played snipe before....people bought to find out real quick how ass that skill can be if you aren't insta freezing plus one tapping
Arnt minions just king? and probly plants and grenades
Between plants and grenades which is going to be better for clear and blasting maps
if you go plant druid, i would personally recommend disciple. Has more ES regen, which makes her quite tanky while still having similar damage
grendaes, but its also an acquired playstyle. Plants probably the most basic thing to start
is that really what you should ask as "new" player?
why not? not every new player just wants to get through campaign and be done
first time poe2 player (been playing poe1 since beta) and i wanna play the new monk ascendancy but i have a feeling it'll be bait
i have a question: Hollow Form from Martial Artist mentions "any socketed attack". so we could also use mace attacks, yeah?
If the campaign was the only thing to play I wouldn’t even pick up the game tbh
idk for new player I would look at a build that is fun
brother...if you're a poe 1 player, you should know that martial artist isnt bait lol. The gloves 2 point ascendancy is the best ascendancy node probably in either game
and fun for some peoole is blasting
how would i know as a poe1 player whether something is bait in poe2?
they're very different games
they arent very different games at all
if you actually know poe 1, you're probably better than 75% of the players already playing this game
I’ve only played minions Poe 1 so wanting to play something different.
I’m leaning grenades. Will see tho
yeah any melee attack skill if not otherwise specified
hmm i'll wait and see what build guides get made for martial artist before league launch
if none, well i'll prob go martial artist anyway unless i see another build that really interests me
i reallly hope something like volcanic fissure or something combined with other stuff can go hard, but probably have to test how it works ingame
or rake
you cant really go wrong with martial artist....even at the bare minimum, you can take 3 generic nodes of gloves, runes, mountain. It's one of the best ascendancies in the game imo.
it's not even out yet though, how do you know?
sounds strong
I find varashta better for plants than oracle
So...any tips on monk super early leveling? Tried all kinds of skills and in the end picking up a stave and going ED/C was by far the best, would love some viable melee before ice strike
well lightning arrow is nerfed, idk how good it is rn. I would just play twister
honestly, the only debate I have is, if you go for naviras well or kelari and ruzhan.
Use crossbows
Will give it a shot. Just tried wind blast/wing blast combo as some streamer suggested...its utter crap against bosses and mid at best at clearing
Of glacial cascade id you have the mental capacity for it
twister. urghs. i'd rather be slower and use glacial cascade etc with monk than using twister.
Actually like glacial cascade, problem is i want to try controller this time and its quite hard to aim with it
is twister even possible with controller?
thats actually not that great when you try to aim for the sweet spot
yeah but with twister you have to also hit with the whirling slash yeah? dunno how that works while using controller
not need to hit afaik. just charge with it 3x
dunno if this was changed but don't you have to be rather precise with your skills to not cancel the combo? i really didn't play it so I just saw other use it and it seemed more complex than just "charge it 3 times"
pretty sure its just not move too far away
otherwise its simple
but basically dont move just use skill 3x then cast
will this be enough for minons to not feel like a slough
if I have 75% chance to bleed on hit, does this make it 100%? or how does it work?
depends thats sorta hardly the issue for companions tho
they just needed more dmg in general so will see how it looks friday
seen like 3 people have parked huntress alts to respec and test it right away and see how it feels
every time i played minions i felt like i was always ahead of them lol
yeah will prob be slightly similiar case
maybe it was just my build but i wish the ones i played they were more "proactive"
varashta didnt really feel like a minon build but it was more my speed
yeah im debating not going it cause its still uncertain how good it will be and i dont want to waste my time leveling something thats meh
worst case ed contagion ig lol
o wait huntress im dumb
so like
twisters
@prime sail if it works like with others, it should be 25% of your chance to bleed.
ur alrdy playing meta skill technically which i think will just make companions even worse
(feel)
is "increased" not additive like in poe1?
it is. but i don't think it works like that here because it's not "chance to bleed". at least that's how I understandi t
i'd use path of building instead of that skill tree planner
it'll tell you the answer
if it were chance to bleed it would indeed be added.
I want to play merc but I don't want to play elemental or shotgun. thought I might do pin/bleed,armor break tactician something. idk which skill to use tho
aight downloading pob
I wish crossbow had machine gun skill without fire dmg or armor break. just flat physical dmg
well there is always explosive shot/grenade.
if I scale melee strike range on boneshatter it doesn't increase the distance it travels right?
there's no way to scale that I assume
interesting
I'm playing duo with a friend who is planning to run fubs iceshot deadeye, and I'm having trouble deciding on a build, I was originally going to go witchhunter nades, but I'm not sure itll be able to keep up, so I have been thinking about instead going whirling strike martial artists because it should have a very quick clear, has anyone played nades and iceshot before/how do the clears compare
Granades is one of the most solid build for campaign and transition into endgame. Check out guy that dies campaign run with granades on YouTube.
I say play whatever seems most fun to you
I know that grenades are great for pre and early maps, but me and my friend normally push to t 15+, and I don’t want to be chucking grenades at packs that die before they explode
This will probably happen at high tiers if ur both about the same skill level fwiw
U would want to switch to something like galvanic shockburst if ur trying to keep up with fubgun ice shot
Grenade clear is fine in t15s early because the damage is so high but as u say the clear is generally slightly delayed
I could defo swap to shards once grenades start struggling to keep up
I’ll have to look up a guide for galvanic
Didnt they change how essences interact with martial weapons though for huge power spikes super early
Its harder to craft weapons now but not so hard that good builds cant even do t15s early
Whats the order of calculation between deflection and armour? What goes first and what after?
ok found
give a try to planner im making ^^ https://pathofpathing2.aurecueil.uk/
its under dev still tho, might not work perfectly in all cases
nice planer but no seen how many + treee inc es , evasion .....
Goal is to plan pathing, not to provide all the summaries
(Scope isnt that high)
Just a simple low effort thing
Gonna try improving the pathing cause it's not perfect yet
- Add handling for path seeker, grandmaster (withuntee +100 weapon set points), oracle jumping
I'm trying to use Elemental Equilibrium and Siphon Elements together. However, it doesn't seem like Elemental Equlibrium affects the infusions generated by freezing enemies. Should it? Has anyone else ran this and seen it working?
hold the fuck up
these runes that give more affixes
they're not limited?
you can get +3 up to +4 affixes on an item?
@coarse crescent Dude, my brain is exploding
I still don't really know how to build this, ughh....
Everyone is saying "go Bloodmage" but the Spirit of Infernalist is insane for this Wand...
But it's a 7% base crit
Alguien con tiempo para ayudarme a ver por que mi build no funciona? /
Anyone with time to help me see why my build isn't working?
question say if im going shaman apocaplyse and it has all the elementage tags (fire, cold, lightning) will a support gem that gives me +1 skill level to fire skill increased the damage for all the elements or just the fire portion of it?
it upgrades the skill itself, so all
What are the main differences between the multiple Plant builds? Abyssal lich plants, Oracle plants, Disciple plants, if there are others
I'm pretty experienced but unsure on the key differences of each build and which looks more powerful/fun.
Im helping a friend play POE for the first time this league, so im thinking of running one of these builds and having them run it too
Alright, who wants to tell me how bad this idea is going to be in practice?
Basically, hoping to go be able to have totems spam impale stacks from bonestorm, and use that impale damage to stack as many poisons as I can with Lorrata + spear field. I'm guessing I'll be able to get maybe 3 bonestorm totems up at most times. Maybe 4 if I get a spirit chest piece.
Clear would be via contagion spreading no limit poisons. Defense is entirely hinging on mind over matter.
Skeleton of the 'build': https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/p852xx0h
Please feel free to tell me how dumb or painful it will likely end up being. I am just really stretching to find a Lorrata use case lol
I'm thinking of doing some shaman poison stuff, maybe self curse if I can get COC to work with it
Yeah, i'm looking into CoC, but damn, our base spell crit is so fucking low
I need to reach second ascendancy on a Monk, before I will have to do a near complete respec.
A) Will I even have enough gold to do that, and B) how would you level to that point?
I might have to start as a spell-caster, just so my tree at least partially goes into the correct direction :D
I'm probably only doing COC for weaponswap on bosses. So I don't know if there is a good COC cheese for weaponswap
The answer is still probably put on a crossbow and click grenades lul
If u have to go top side to reduce ur respec costs to eventual spellcaster then click generic ele nodes and run an ele crossbow with ele runes
I am not gonna be a spellcaster, but a support after second lab :P And all the support nodes are in witch + druid area.
Never really used crossbows. Whats the basic setup there?
Nvm. I just tried it and immediatly killed the first miniboss in like 3 grenades and 4 shots. This will do :D
afaik there was some bug that totems casted channeling skills very slowly or maybe it was badly balanced but it took forever to cast a bonestorm
I'm trying to decide league starter and can't decide between Raxx plant oracle and animeprincess spark. I think spark looks more fun but apparently it might be expensive? I'm pretty inexperienced so I don't know what to look out for. Any advice would be great, my goal is to clear the pinnacle bosses
pro tip: play what you think is coolest, power levels are irrelevant in this game
also spark is not expensive to start, cast on crit variant goes deep into the endgame and does require investment. but you can play spark literally from level 1 and youll be fine
just make sure to follow a guide to know what skills and support to get, and make sure you are improving your weapon at least once per act
how fast is POB usually updated with new stuff?
XDD
Are flicker strike builds decent for beginning of leagues, or does it require expensive pieces to do alright?
whats the primary differences between oracle plants and lich plants?
does blood rage conflict with the divine shield keystone?
They dont really interact as blood rage isnt a hit and doesnt stop ES regeneration, but you're in poe2 chat. Try #1┃endgame-help or #1┃build-planning
omfg oops sorry
has anyone look to see if blood mage got nerfed?
I want to play something as tanky as possible next patch, ideas? tried shieldwall, bear, wyvern ES/CI, felt like shieldwall was the way to go though I have to admit its very slow
Shield wall will lose single target damage next patch but wont lose much tankiness
Should be fine
Asphyxias wrath reverse chill stormweaver
those reverse builds
Or you could go with the new tech conner mentioned,
Almost 50% dmg taken by companion instead of you, and then you recoup the dmg taken by the minion for 200%
Using romiras requital
what was the best minion build in 0.4
