Delay = how quickly it activates after taking dmg

Rate = how quick the es comes back

Idk what the base recharge rate is, but it was something akin to 15%/s

So if you have 100% delay and 100% rate from items and tree, after 2s of not taking dmg, your es recharges at 30%/s

If that base rate I threw out was correct

You should be doing more selling at the beginning.

And items with quality and sockets are to be salvaged.

Good rule of thumb for early game. Disenchant rares, sell blues and whites.

But it always depends on your available resources and what exactly you need.

2 mod magic gear with just life + 1 elemental resist is way better than 6 mod rares with neither of those stats

The important part is not to rely on the game to drop you what you want.
You have a lot of methods to add to your chances of getting a good weapon. Picking up whites/blues from the ground or vendors, bringing them back and trying an augmentation or transmutation orb on them to see if they get good stats. Spending a regal on the ones that start out pretty good, even gambling if you have to.

If you go on drops alone, chances are good you won't be seeing an upgrade for a bit. There's a lot of different gear to drop, with a lot of different stats they could have 😅

Well, regals can't brick an item. You are right to be cautious with them though.

You should only spend regals on your blue items that have a great start.

as raw drops yes, but you will get regal shards by scrapping rares

Early in the campaign though, you should be able to mostly live off a good blue or a yellow with just a few good stats.
For all of the other rares you get, I would recommend to scrap them through most of the campaign. Later you might sell some for gold, but for now getting those regals is going to be more useful.

You'll get used to them, and honestly you'll find out there's a few you more commonly use.
This early in the game you're likely to just need your transmutes and augs, and the occasional regal.

Unless you're trading, in which case exalts are the currency of choice for early game.

We don't charge for build help here, and doing so would be against the rules, too. Main things you want to focus on are:

1. Movement speed on boots
2. Life/resistances as high as possible on gear
3. Life flask up to date with two good mods
4. A good weapon
5. Good skill/support combos

Also for bosses, doing mechanics correctly helps a lot. Act 2 boss does a sandstorm that will shred you if you don't stand in the shield provided by your helper npc

consider that being at 25% resistance instead of 75% resistance means you take 3x damage

raw hit of 100 becomes a hit of 25 with 75% resistance, but 75 with 25% resistance. 75 / 25 = 3

rings are a cheap way to get a lot of resistance

There are many unknown factors here. It might be a build/gear issue or something else. Relics with max honor and honor resistance are extremely helpful.

Yes the honor makes it very challenging especially if your melee.

Well the relics I mentioned help with that, and so does increasing your general defensive layers. Also make sure to play very defensively and try to fill up your honor during the run.

On PS5, I seem to have a weird bug that when I change my witch's spirit / summon settings, it doesn't actually change the settings. For example, I previously had withering aura and 3 normal skeletons, now when I removed the withering skill gem totally and tried to switch the skeleton types, I still see the withering aura around me, and the summoned skeletonts stay at the original 3. Has anyone run into this?
