Hey, I have the Wooting 60HE v2 module in a Tofu60 Redux (with the brass weight) and I’m using Ice Ultra switches. The keyboard feels a bit louder than I expected.

I was thinking about getting a thicker foam (maybe ~3 mm) to place between the tofu case and the module instead of the stock one that came with the case. When I used the Ice Ultras in the prebuilt Wooting, it didn’t seem as loud.

Would thicker foam help with this, or should I try something like lubing the switches or a tape mod? I’m pretty new to modding, so I’d prefer to avoid anything too risky that I could mess up.

If you want a quieter sound, I'd recommend PC plate, but sadly the one Wooting sells isn't compatible with the 60HE v2 due to different standoff location. Though there are aftermarket PC plates available, if you don't use the top right standoff, then it should work just fine

Most hall effect switches. Some are proprietary like keychron ones. Same with low profile he switches. You kinda just need to check the description. Sometimes magnet polarity also makes them incompatible

Hi, I recently returned a keyboard because my fingers hurt when I pressed too hard on the keys. I’ve since ordered a Wooting 80HE, and I might replace the switches if I have the same problem and reddit suggested getting silent switches

I noticed that the FAQ says “note: silent switches use dampening materials that can slightly reduce switch accuracy”

What does this mean? Will I still have accurate analog inputs?

(I currently use Halo Clears, which require a pretty high actuation force, so I’m used to pressing keys hard)

it means what is says, the dampening can cause issues, you might try lighter force switches or spring swap some switches
