we only provide tray mount as a legacy option for old cases

there's zero reason you want to use it normally

No. you don't need to take out all keycaps and switches. Just need to remove stabilizer keycaps, so you can separate the PCB from the plate. Then swap the poron sandwich pad with the friction fit pad and assemble it.

hello! currently having an issue with keycaps I just bought. Whenever I put in the new spacebar the key just stays pressed down untill I tap it and then some of the time decides to go back to normal. The thing is It does not have this issue with the original

well I read something and it worked if anyone else has the same issue. Just put a small piece of scotch tape on top of the stabilizers and no matter what i do it does not get stuck! (plus it sounds better)

It doesn't, just grounds the board so it doesn't build up ESD and potentially zap itself although the risk of that happening is probably pretty low

am now owner of gt80 case, when I swap the abs case for it I think I wanna lube the switches that are also spring-swapped. I want to still have them be extremely light and extremely fast, is the tribosys 3203 best option for that or should I be looking at smth else

Normally we use Krytox 205g0 as the standard for lubing switches and stabs
Tribosys 3202 is normally made thinner for tactile switches but still works fine with linear switches as well.

Fair, the main rule of thumb is that there are a lot of different profile keycaps you can get and they will have differing heights as you can see. Typically, it will just look/feel strange if you’re used to a certain profile, but as long as you don’t get ansi for an ISO keyboard you should be fine

The bigger issue you would have is just finding decent Hungarian iso keycaps on the market

both are pretty cheap, some ppl seem to be more sensitive to it than others. Its not catastrophic if you get it, but overtime it can be annoying. If you wanna play it safe, owlabs are fine

granted my crunch wasnt every day or always happening, it just happened every couple of days on W/S keys

On the RGB PCB, there’s an LED under every key option, but on the bottom row they physically can’t fit that many LEDs close to each other. Because of that, the bottom row RGB has LEDs for either a classic 6.25u and 6.25u split, or 7u and 7u split only

But in practice, if you’re using a multi layout plate, everything will be fine anyway

There are four different LED PCBs depending on which layout you get. I’ve noticed that with such a complex PCB as the Atlas, it’s not really the people that don’t understand it but the vendors 😭

Each LED PCB variations has different bottom row LED positions as you can see here. For 6.25U and 7U there are extra LEDs under space for example.

It seems they fixed it actually, and the 7U LED PCB only ever hindered the 3U stab positions when they were using 2U stabs for 3U keys.

2U stabs on 3U keys did make it to production but it seems to be fixed here.

So you can use PCB mounts with a 7U LED PCB when using split 7U, if it’s a recent unit.

I installed the Tikkens with the north facing led as adviced (Wooting V2 Module), took the oportunity to clean and change switches as well to my OG Wooting 60HE, found them south facing, but I had RGB disabled, is the advice the same for the OG, or does it not matter?

it should work as long as you don't use iso, I think you'd have to use the iso left shift as the center 1.25u key for split spacebar
