To me its not as flat as the raws the TI has more pop
The jade pros are bangers but the DC flux's alrdy did it better
but comparing it to raptors for this, naw TI def beats it by sound
if anything
When are your secret DCF killers coming Jed?
impossible
I wish I knew exactly. All I know are the murmurs coming from the deep.
Are you sure it's not just your imagination?
The murmurs are very lifelike and show photos
hrm speaking of switches new ttc is out
i wonder how it feels
i think their other one that they say is not ready yet is more interesting because it's a new external stem as well
i still grabbed a batch of these to try though
oh their ttc online store doesn't have a field for customs number, what a pain. Have to wait for their aliexpress store to stock it tomorrow
looking at the 2 switches, their purple new kom is old kom + new internal enclosed magnet and the unreleased one is new split stem + internal enclosed magnet
https://x.com/mare6b_/status/1997637502551675324 craziest and most painful packaging yet
https://x.com/mare6b_/status/1997648393888243845 also, PA12 might be the more interesting âdevelopmentâ recently đ€·ââïž

switch tested well. Magnet compatible, it's actually very strong magnet similar to lekkers
S/S stability wise switch, although you 100% feel the stem the entire time
I remember there was a mod for the gravastar
in one of the switches
Nvm RIP
I need to do some pruning maybe on stability switches list, not sure which one to kick off, probably helios
Yesh, gravistar same ish price anyway
And has better stability and actually lubed
What do yâall think, should i rather go with silver leggera or cream?
Iâm kinda sold for both options but idk
silver is more versatile
Indeed
No i donât
cream has more character tho, imo.
and if youâre not going with a white or dark set, it can be somewhat versatile too
The new keyspire switch the JP bros are hyped about, 99 yuan for 10, each switch is individually packaged

these are the discounts I live for đ„°
Why, just why
That is extremely wasteful
so I buy it right away for 199 instead of later for 199
đđ
199 RMB for how many switches!?
20
.40 for the switch itself, 1 for the packaging
honestly, for all the people that bought enough to fill a board, the packaging is more annoying than âpremium feelingâ
having to open all those little boxes đ
Yeah LMAO
And they only come in packs of 20!?
10
Oh even worse
đ
Pain
Filling up your whole trash bag with those boxes
odd, why are they so hyped about it? It looks like a standard old split stem
it's not even the fully enclosed version
or is there something new I'm not seeing in the photo
all the materials seem normal-ish too besides the pa12 maybe? Is that what they're hyped about?
Maybe idk
PA12 and if the listing is accurate, itâs not an exact recolor of the Qians as these have a 3.4mm travel
hello, just want to ask a question is the holy60 compatible with the new 60he v2?
seems pretty meh if that's all it is then honestly. For whatever reason those guys also loved the polar pro split stem sound too so i guess it makes sense
apparently
the difference between deep clackies (pa66) and ocean whispers (pa12) was surprising to me
though wuqueâs pa66 is a lot more brittle than any other pa66 so it might not be a great comparison
and of all the split stems (except encapsulated magnets), I disliked Qians the least.
it's because qians lubed the best
if you open it they're only guys who bothered lubing all the internal split parts well
okay makes sense. Those japanese crew love the standard splits even though everyone else hated the polar pro sound lol
if they can get polar pro but deeper they probably love it
okay squashyboy confirmed he's sending me some switches as well @ionic breach
idk from the ghetto sound tests in his video it didn't sound like anything special at first
not entirely sure how iâm supposed to install these standoffs, any ideas?
bought it like 2 years ago didnât figure it out then but my old plate has a crack in it so itâs forced my hand
tried to screw them in from one side but the screws are obviously too small and go right thru the hole for the standoffs
they all appear to be the same size
you'll want to put the screws with a flat top through the plate and then screw it into the standoff either by holding the standoff and screwing in the screw or the other way around
also make sure you are using the medium sized holes ofc
all of em r too small
every screw falls thru the medium sized holes
i have a seperate plate for reference so i know where theyâre all supposed to go
interesting
very much so
sounds like either the screws are too small or the plate is miscut
where did you get the plate
uhhh
some aussie vendor itâs been some time
just realized it doesnât have the thinner stand offs either
standoffs dont need to be thin
yes
yeah ignore those too
can you take a picture of the standoff holes from both sides
nope
there is shorter and longer ones but the size of the head are smaller than the standoffs
so they just go right through the holes
the standoffs are big enough
no idea where to go from here tbh
might have to buy a new plate and kit and pray
my keyboard is in pieces tho đ
lol the pcb screws would work
guys what's better in terms of thock and performance and rgb geon works raw he or gateron magnetic jade pros?
Tikkens
thanks saved me money đ«Ąđ
are they the best sounding and feeling HE switches nowadays?
ive got jade pro rubys they're great
actually in the middle of relubing them and rebuilding my keyboard a little better but got no plate to use
preference
sure
but what exactly would one be preferring? as in what are the noticeable differences
stem wobble, smoothness, sound, travel distance
i meant subjectively do they just "feel nicer" or "sound better"?
Stem stability (is there a lot of movement when your fingers are on your keycaps/when bottoming out), sound and feel can differ depending on springs and overall tightness
as opposed to jade pros?
i know jade pro rubys have better tolerances than the standard jade pros
Rubyâs are just a recolor
nah they did have slightly better tolerance
wobble will be similar to jade ruby
theyre noticeably nicer feeling and sounding
unless they re-released the tolerances to standard jade pros
What switches should I get?
You sponsoring?
I guess i'll order a few samples
Jeez are those individually boxed switches?
Looks like, i didn't pay as close attention, but the few details are interesting enough to get a few to try (not a whole set ofcourse, price and amount is just absurd)
I may do the ufos
Can recommend, insanely stable throughout the whole push, very clean and unique sound (which is not clacky, best way i can describe), great feel.
Do they need lubed? They seem like a pain since you canât use a standard switch opener
No need for lubing no
Did you order straight from Gravastar?
Nope, from TaoBao
Damn
I have copper deficiency in my body, itâs time to swap out POM plate back to Copper one

are the lekker v2 switches supposed to be so hard to pull out? the included plastic switch puller struggles to pull out the switches
Yep itâs a known issue with those switches being a tad too tight
gotcha just dont wanna break them
We usually recommend using a good metal puller instead
where do you get them? wooting store or just any?
Wuque titanium switch puller and tx puller are the crowd favourites
Available from a lot of online keyboard shops
tyty!
anyone know how much space there is in the 80HE for the addition of a dampener? was gna add some MLV but what thickness would be too much
YOO SG SWITCHES
bro finna buy more switches đ
i cld get it for u and u can pay the shipping E Z
its in singapore
i can literally cop them for the x amnt have it over to me and DHL to your address
but idk the price
its probably cheaper to ship it to china than to the us.. right?
the batch productions are either in ali or SINGAPORE?
idk where pantheon produces and ships ik its malaysia and singapore
as far as i am aware
uhh most likely
W shipping
but deadass singapore local is best local
Forget the switches imma go play with the $32 box
It's Singapore
yea ik
i forgot
my brain dieed
for a moment i havent slept yet
hey guys is this one good for wooting v2?
Damn, very very cool
Thanks for the vid
i really think they are some really cool switches
Itâs just a cable, why wouldnât it be good
I wouldnât trust a Chinese knock off cable imo
Bro everything u buy about keyboard is from china or sth around
sooooooooooo
same
Thockfather reviewed the wired in cables which seem to work with 8k polling but I wouldnât trust attack shark
Itâs less where you buy it from, but from who
I can only agree, had them for a week, my experience has been excellent on every front
For a variety of reasons unfortunately
Mainly can't deliver enough power which can cause all kinds of issues you wouldn't want
This is very true in general and people need to realise it sooner or later, oftentimes the same factories make products you would draw these imaginary lines between based on brand or whatever silly reason.
I think the operative word is "knockoff", which usually comes with using lower quality components, even if the mold/design is the same.
Now I have a question: Which colors match the best with purple? I was thinking about yellow/green
Since I got the Purple Levander Alumaze
What keycaps
Purple green and gold are the colors of royalty
gg
The Alumaze already has that gold thing on the left side
Green keycaps will go crazy
British racing green are green + gold
i was told Cyan before
I think Levander Purple and this shade of green would look amazing
yea I was looking at this last night
made a comment in #đŹâgeneral too
they are affordable right until you consider shipping to the US
ill bring some back from china
hopefully the next run is soon, they plan to have US fuffilment centers
maybe get some ufos and fluxes for cheap đ
:0
devious plotting
im heading to korea with my girlfriend for a few weeks, might cop some as well
Does any one know if the whooting 60he v2 fit in the ky60 ?
looks like a holy60 clone and it says its gh60 compatable so probably
Says it's wooting 60 so maybe
you can get a legit one form gateron for cheaper the same price
both are ecoated since that ones white it cant be an anodized finish
âthe shape is strange and coolâ
âenhance heat dissipation efficiencyâ
chinesium marketing strategy wtf
yeah idk about that heat dissipation thing
thats funny
âBreaking the standard design schemeâ meanwhile itâs just another holy60
Very daring today
King of magnetism, who struggle with the edge.
I absolutely love my Trantek Electronics King of Magnetism Polyoxymethylene switches
have you considered Wooting x Trantek Electronics King of Magnetism Polyoxymethylene good sir? they are much betterer
Thank you đ
Wooting x Hekler and koch
Gn
Whats deeper sounding and less clacky? Neo Lavender, Elf King, TTC, Ice Ultra, flux deep clacky?
Or any others u may have in mind
anyone?^
UFO
i wouldnt say ufos are deeper than dcf, definitely louder
and only marginally deeper on a CF plate while being louder
from snos videos
Then what switch?
The closer to the smooth deep sound without much clack the better
As many "tockier" one are just usually super loud
probably tikkens
Tikken end up sounding kinda hollow and scratchy
deep sound is thock, but imo i still dont think there are any HE switches that cross into the thock category
but tbh i dont think youre gonna get that deep sound youre looking for, maybe dcf on pc plate
but i personally wouldnt consider that too deep
Still, whats the best option?
i havent tried ur ice, and only the mmd c1s
but theyre all kinda just clacky
not really much of that deep sound
Whats dcf?
i recall hearing that the Gravastar UFOs are getting there
fluxes deep clacky
i really only have through sound tests for those
I am still around Neo Lavender, medium stem wobble but the sound is quite smooth, silent and a bit deep
lubed TTC Elfs are also a deep clacky
sorta sounds like an octave down lego building sound
If i add ceramic keycaps
i have ceras :D
Ufos are found to not be very deep
yeah all of em are around there. all of em are js deeper clacky. you can check out TTC Elfs
Akko Astrolinks
uuuh theres a few more
UR studio Ice Ultras are also a deeper clack
The current theoretical build: Wooting 80he zinc case (zinc is denser therefore should offer a deeper sound), Foam modes, tape mod, Neo lavender, ceramic keycaps. Thats basically it
tbh your best bet is just picking one of them
- pc plate, poron foam sandwich, edpm/poron case foam (or you can use kilmat for even more dampening) and ceramic keycaps
wooting 80 comes with a tape mod tho, unless ur gna add more
also thats like almost deadass my exact build
I think you would like them, i had them for a while to form my opinion.
Very clean sound, not clacky, but a bit deeper.
im using diff switches tho
Same switches?
^
Maybe, but im not looking for a "signiture sound", i find any loud clackness very annoying
im usin TTC KOMs for the no stem wobble. waiting for an actual thock switch before i buy a set
didja check out TTC Elfs, Akko Astrolinks, and UR studio Ice Ultras?
neos are a recolored gateron jade
They aren't loud in my experience, the Lekker v2 60s were louder. I think it's much less annoying.
Not sure what signature means, but it's just clean more than anything.
They sound different tho
likely different room/board/mic. recolors dont sound different from the base switch since theyre mechanically identical
Uhmm weird
thats js how sound works
thats why its always recomended to hear ts IRL. literally everything affects sound tests
Yeah true but it was the same board
show me this video
Not video, I tested them myself
Maybe the lubework was different?
maybe? were they side by side in the middle of the board?
Or placebo lol
I'm debating on buying the ufo's, but there's so many other things I need first lol
Maybe you were
theres also Everglide Skylines which should be tighter/better stem wobble than neos
you were, i saw you, and i was there too
but who was the 4th? đ
probably sno, i heard he spawns into the corner of your room whenever you run a sound test
I wonder if in terms of ceramic keycaps do they suck because they feel to heavy and slipery
no
i have them, they do not
Great to know, even if gaming?
yep
personally i just dont like how they look
unless u js have super oily/sweaty hands
like unreasonable amounts of liquid coming off ur hands
agree to diagree, i love how clean ts is, esp with the cera novelties. the clean + minimalistic detailing is something i adore
Not the glossy ones, the matte ones
They are very durable, look great and thocky sound profile, been planning to get some in the near future
js know sometimes theyll come crooked. take pics and send them to aftersale support in their official discord and they send you replacement keys for free
Also due to the material, in summer it remains cool
I might just go for the gateron jades and call it a day, tbh tock is all about the foam and keyboard build themselves and not the switch
tbh i need to see the matte ones from more angles
its a mixture of everything
cause the gloss one...
When it comes to hall effectz everything is clacky no matter what
true
I dont recommend it
also arent legends printed on the cerakeys?
im gna snag some crazed whites and matte whites to sprinkle on my board, gna make it variable texture to look almost like snow
its like some sorta laquered addition on top. very durable though havent had any issues
also they have texture
why
Crazed adds a slight layers above the keycap, removing the finger placement dent and making it more rounded and more slippery, plus the extra material may cause them to scratch in one another, i found that to be a issue in a few users
Crazed white is what i was planning, but it was OOS.
However A+B set is doable right now which fills a 80HE, think i might just get it in January
i think its in stock rn no?
ope
nvm
gone already
that was so fast
Your concern is appreciated
They were OOS for weeks actually, the full set that is
if you have spare crazed whites can i buy them off you for cheap, i dont wna buy a full extra B set for some sprinkles
cause i was left with quite a few spares since i got A+B black and whites
Yeah, the keycap is slightly concave to allow for more grip, added layers makes it slightly more convex, and even without crazed it seems the ceramic keycaps are very close together
its still concave tho
its like a very slight thickness difference
Its noticable
slight enough to the point where they dont even sound different
Feel is much different than sound lol
We can do that yeah
im js saying that the change is very slight and the key is still concave
appreciate ittt
maybe ill try ceramic keycaps later next year
Easy 120 dollars fr
Expensive stuff
Not at all, people buy plastic caps for 100-150
this is value
my kkb soju set all in was 160 (175 if you add in the split spacebar)
Ceramic is just tock goodness
well atleast i'm not tempted to spend my food budget on it
imagine eating
i was thinking before i ordered two more mice, but not really after :D
couldnt be me
lmao real
which mice?
mouse collector enthusiast won over keyboard modder kek
not even
oh yeah sale going on
Damm you regional prices
i got an OP1 8K and an A9 Air
i also would need them to come in split spacebar
whether they decide to do that or not i might consider buying it
lemme buy sm spares off you frfr
oh wait those have legends
n v m
lowk i wish they did a black and silver laquer set thatd be so lit
but for now, kkb soju
mm alchohol
but i also like letters and numbers so
cant say i like any of em, but if their black and gold was black and silver i woulda copped in a hearbeat
ah im a blank enthusiast, love the clean look
my entire middle of the board is white blanks and the outside is black novelties
drink
They are interesting, just not enough, and at the end of the day these are caps that should be fulfilling a function, i don't wanna look at just a picture and having to type from muscle memory 100% of the time.
dislocates jaw to swallow board
At that price caps like that i would only get to put them in a glass cabinet for display
on some nice case board
i only type from muscle memory, and i love the clean looks from blanks so im chillin
id use blanks if i could touchtype the number row symbols
but i cant
i do have the optimum keycaps but i dont use them for a different reason
type with blanks for loing enough and it becomes muscle memory too. its also what i struggled with at first since i used to use a set with legends and always used to check but after about a week or two of consistent typing/searching it became muscle memory
never got the sentiment of slick keys ngl, i js dont see how slickness even works for a board
yeah
ayyy my pcb has shipped
sweet, whats the material?
nono, i mean the wooting module
Did I make a mistake buying the owlab ti instead of tikken switches
No
Tikkens have slightly worse top wobble, but they both fill a similar niche of being cheap switches with decent stability and sound
There will be better ones to come out just as there was earlier this year
Maybe I'll upgrade next year. Same for the case. Just finished building my 80he last week. Lubed the stabs and put in owlab switches, really like it now.
Iâd also try some new 3rd party plates if you wanna switch things up later on
@robust siren changed my order
got the separate wooting 60he v2
should be here before christmas
hopefully
Q5 2026 delivery finna hit hard
i didnt put my order on hold
LMAO
and idk if wooting support will give me a free uwu now
Also nice flair bud
c:
Any recommendations and what's the benefit?
thereâs no inherent benefit, it just depends on preference because it changes the way you feel the keypresses slightly and the sound
all about what you want
It completely changes the feel and sound of the keyboard, the stock 80HE plate is made out of PC plastic which mutes a fair bit of sound (and is fairly flexible), so you can get stiffer plates that can help alter how your keyboard feels
Not a requirement, but can be fun making new builds
I Care mostly about performance and sound is a bonus, I don't think i'll change the plate. Maybe better switches and a case
Nothing crazy currently. Plastic case, pbt fans bow keycaps, handlubed stock stabs and owlab switches
Spacebarfoam aswell
performance of the keyboard for HE mostly just comes from the pcb
unless you consider stability to be one of them
nice artisan
@tulip rapids you aint know game about artisan keycaps
wth
who bought that?
lowkey it was takyon
does anyone know any good white on black keycaps i cant seem to find any that are available and im not tryna drop like 100 dollars
wooting keycaps
Drop DCX White-on-Black Keycap Set - Base Kit | Mechanical Keyboards | Keycaps | Custom Keycaps | Drop https://share.google/IYom8c6w4yqugCaCJ
not exactly what im looking for
is dcx similar to cherry profile
Yea
cus on the custom i have rn i have dsa and i lowk dont like it so i just want regular cherry again
whats the difference
ohh i see that is good thank you
Basics by NicePBT â CannonKeys https://share.google/5SAzkdV7GhzGKM8Rj
you want good quality under 100 dolla? Or poo poo quality
i know some printed keycap sets

DCX is similar to GMK in terms of plastic quality, sound, and feel iirc
It's been a while since I discussed about it
If you want thick PBT key caps instead
I dropped it last week ffs so there is some paint chipped
Id say switches effect Performances aswell, but marginaly. Cant play with a 40g switch with 0,1mm, bit too light, but i guess for some its "better"
after all this time finally decided on some diff switches for my 80HE... TTC Dragon Lords
priorities - durability > stability > performance > sound
Thinking of going with a set of crazed cerakeys for my v2, QC on them got any better?
Hi, is wooting60hev2 using the same plate like 60he+? I have a custom 60he plate, can I use it to my 60hev2 module? Thx!
no 60v2 is using fr4 plate
Sry my expression is unclear, is the V2 plate still GH60? Do i need to get a new plate
this is for case compatibility lol
they're asking if the plate from the 60he and 60he+ are still compatible with the v2
you even click the link to see plate mounting options.
weh
cus i dont know myself
gn
Yes buddy
Is it still compatible with 60hev2?
I dont think we actually know the standoff spots for the v2
But i would assume it most likely is still compatible with normal spacebar v2
Jade deltas are so tight that some switches i got were catching
Probably fixable by mashing it for a week
Thank you
Much more stable than duhuk hertz but i dont have another point of reference
They practically dont wobble
Guessing your custom plate has removable standoffs? If so, yes, but not fully. You won't be able to install the top right standoff, because the location is different on V2. It should still work fine without it though.
Wooting's PC plate isn't compatible with the V2, because standoffs aren't removable.
Yes, itâs has removable standoffs
Good đ Just don't install the top right standoff and you'll be good.
Yes sir! Perfect
i just finished putting it into a gt80 and it sounds even creamier
oh i got deltas todays actually, so i can record a sound test later
they do be kind of sharp though, i don't know how much average person enjoy them
yea not sure if its because i also changed to fr4 at the same time
My friend likes delta a lot
they feel great but sound is subjective ig
gateron factory lube looked like they just squirted on it i had to wipe some off the stem
some switches are still scratchy and catching a little cause of the really tight tolerances but it should break in after a week
Scratch is an acquired taste
i dont mind it if it means i get maximum stability
geon raws still a decent switch or are there better options with a similar osund profile
listen through the db
my xueyao unionwell fully enclosed split stems are here too
sound seems much improved from the previous unionwells
whats the benefits of split stems?
Technically they could be more stable at magnetic accuracy on bottom out
As the idea is that the bottom doesnât wobble but top absorbs any wobble
How should i mod my wooting 80he to make it sound more thocky?
How hard would EVA 01 keycaps go on a purple Alumaze60
interesting so the inner stem with the magnet can have super tight tolerances so it only goes up and down while the top stem allows for some movement when its pressed at an angle or something
Now you just need GT80
Actually, why not
Micro/mini agar is waiting for me
Idk, i would love to get at least one MX TKL and 65% board
Next year maybe
How nice are the Lekker tikken compared to other HE switches?
weird question, wonder if anyone here knows:
I just got my GMK Dolch R5x set (for the 60HE v2), and what are these three keycaps? Are they logo/mascot for something?
I tried reverse image search as well as asking AI but no answer
i like the "TTC Honey King HE Switch" its prolly my favourite atm đ
Theyâre a decent first switch if you donât know what you want without breaking the bank
i have bought the Jade Gaming switches and an after market cherry profile keycap set. I just saw online that the switches and key caps might not fit well because the LEDs are north facing. is that an actual problem and will i have to put my switches south facing or is it not an issue?
not an issue
What does this switch selector thing do?
Dang, no DCF in the switch selector update
it's alright, its just another couple week of wait

I need a good keycap brands or websites
Ty
the ones added today were just extras dominik had lying around when switch selector launched, so dcf should be in the next one
+84 looking pretty nice at the moment
If you want a 4kg+ TKL for ~$220
Yeah, heard a lot about this one
I wanna set the switch config, the new option, but I have owlab ti he 50g switches
What is the equivalent in the displayed one for it?
Any1 knows how i make my 60HE sound really creamy?!
Closest would be Geon Raw
Thanks, I will check it out
Also how did the background service thing working?
how many keebs u got?
1.5
wdym?
Full done 80HE, atlas pcb(still in Japan)
that's a split alice keeb?
M no
Yeah, Rakka Atlas
what u gonna put on it?
Tried the owl labs, raws and ice ultras but the neo lavenders keep getting reinstalled, feel so good (i know they are just recoloured jades) but they do feel diff to me somehow
That's the best thing about the hobby is that there is no best thing. It's all preference.
^
Long time no see
@sacred elm @robust siren Do you guys know which selector to use for the DC flux's on wootility?
i just use the lekker one and added a .5mm spacer
Frog mini leggings silver/white, dcfâs(or other stuff), alu plate, knights v4 and GMK tiramisu(for now)
Just awaiting torontoman mod kit and the ghostbar and hes all completed
Wait did you intentionally use smaller keycap sizes on the last 2 rows?
I do love some Kaiju though
Purely for the pic to show my friend the different art keys
The normal shift and mode keys are in now
Did you see that Nephlock released a Kaiju v2 dark version?
I didn' order it myself (as I swore off anymore keycap purchases for a while) but I did pre-order GMK Orenji as a final 2025 set for the year lol
Any1 knows how i make my 60HE sound really creamy?!
Creamy? Most of the time it does have a clack so idk if anything a creamier profile would be running an
Re lube and a case foam fittings or depending
Im scared to lube idk if it destroys my Keyboard
Where can i get foam thingys
What case you got?
and whats ur sandwich like the pcb inbetween
Normal 60HE+
Nothing you lube is permanent for switches
Where can i get that
But a creamy profile isnât possible for HE
The closest youâll get is overlubing your switches a little bit but that wonât last for longer than a few days til it breaks in
Krytox 205g
And if you wanna save some time and bag lube Iâd get some super lube if you have that or a 105g equivalent should be fine
If youâre not sure where to look, Iâd use this site aggregator and put in your region: #đȘâmodding_faq message
reminds me of kamen rider
Anyone for the future looking to changing to durrock v3 stabs, I have installed mine today and the space bar works great, cant even hear it.
What kind of stabs can you install on an Alumaze60 with the 60HE v2
Any stabs clip ins
Screw ins etc
Is there any way to have an extender for the v2 cable that can make it longer and still retain that 8k capability?
Would be easier just to buy a different cable
itâs recommended that the cable be only 2m long max
for everything to function as intended
Ty man
Figured that was the case, coiled cable is supposed to get here today, but I'm worried it may not end up being long enough to connect to my pc
Christmas decorations are done
guy's I'm waiting for a keyboard that is just a sensor I move my finger on and it's not even a keypress
I just want a board
So where are the TTC KOM v2??
Theyâre already out, I ordered them yesterday
But only one of the versions
The full split stem version isnât ready yet
theres a v2?
Yeah with the closed bottom
To be fair this one is more like v500
My "q" key sounds much louder / more poppy than most other keys, "w" aswell. Is this normal? (80he). Changed the switches around with leftovers ones and jts still the same
Theyâve made so many koms
Fr
Fairly normal yeah. Thereâs variance in some positions of your keyboard
even things like screw holes or plate holes under the switch can change sound of specific keys
Thank you
I think I'm gonna order tikkens fr4 plate and a tx switch puller soon
(hopefully) final switches I'll buy for a WHILE
does anyone know what the most 'performant' switches are?
or is it a situation where theres no real answer and everything is basically the same
i assume the biggest difference comes from the actuation force and magnets but im not knowledgable enough to tell apart the good from the bad
What do you mean by performant
basically the same but actuation force is preference theres also total travel distance but tahts also preference
nothing changes performance
Technically it can change but itâs incredibly minor
yea
alr
thanks
thats all i wanted lmao
i assumed magnetic switches kinda removed that performance aspect between switches but i just wanted confirmation
Anything with a fairly stable bottom out will already get you close to best you can get
Of which there are many many stable bottom out switches these days
oh yea that does make sense
Our keyboard will auto minimise deadzone based on switch stability, but thereâs dozens upon dozens of very low wobble bottom out switches nowadays
So the days where you had like one or two specific switches are long gone
ohh thats sick, ig thats why theres no calibration on wooting like other magnetic devices have
Yeah I dare say our auto calibration is one of the more stable in the game
sno works at twitch confirmed
Only thing making me snoworried is the lack of DCF switch selector
Didnt they add owlab? Or next update?
Gn
Is the quality of Magnetic Jade switches good and are there better ones or comparable ones that are cheaper
Thereâs a lot of better options out there now, if you want good to great performance without breaking the bank Iâd look at: Raptor V2, Tikkens and owlab ti he
If you want close to max stability while sounding in the Jade ballpark Iâd look at Deep clack flux on aliexpress
jades generally suck, the only thing that I can glaze about them is that they're exceptionally smooth -- that's really the only good thing about them though đ
the wobble is bad and the sound is schmeh, and I also don't think they have full travel but I could be misremembering
also they're super over priced for what they are, you can get better switches for much cheaper

NGL, it'll sound as dead as the divine.
i did mod the wooting 2 HE by stuffing it with lots of foam along the edges, double sticky side inside masking tape to act as an inbetween (had to cut each screw hole), and making psuedo gaskets by taping some foam strips onto the plate in a few spots
its a bit janky and ghetto, but it did bring down the high pitched noise of it
it was indeed a pain in teh ass to hand cut every piece of tape and foam to fit
without a proper foam gasket that fits the keys though, some keys sound notabnly different than therest
Hexa has perfect balance of sound.
People still do not understand that it has enough bass so it completly complements music piece
I don't mean the bass, I mean the treble. It has a similar tuning style as Divine and 7hz zero 2 which makes it sounds just 'okay' to me.

Chinnese
Woa-
It should be all g502 proteus to be exact

overall interesting switch but nothing too crazy. They sound clean at least, top wobble is tiny bit better but not S tier, and bottom is same as most things these days) at S
the triangle stem makes wobble up down vs left to right different as well. the up/down wobbles less than left/right i assume due to triangle stem
Jade pro dual diffuser also uploaded. Nothing new there though, it's literally just jade pro with 2 diffusers for those double rgb boards
clean sound noice
added the xvx silent tactile switches too - https://youtube.com/shorts/4K96leDbnM4

nothing much new there though sound wise. they're similar to tecsee he tactiles
Sounds okay. If what you said about stability is correct, guess it won't be that much of an upgrade from flux
Does it pass light more?
it does a little bit yeah, although it's still not super see through
You can see which keys are pinkish from being dcf flux
And white ones are the xvx
Seems to be about similar brightness wise. Should be the best choice for me then from now on since it's same stability as Tecsee HE
Itâs literally tecsee recolor since it says TEC on the housing lol
So yeah youâre good if you like the tecsee
i got owlab ti hes
and the factory lube job is amazing and the stem wobble is non existent
i dont need to lube or film them
Owlab teehees
Excuse me đ
Someone knows a good website for keycaps but cheap
https://www.alexotos.com/keyboard-vendor-list/ this is a good place to start
ok I'm gonna order tikkens + fr4 plate + tx switch puller soon, can't wait
Xvx pudding cosmos
Are the lekker springs compatible with lekker tikken?
Yes
Nice. With those I can get heavy lekker tikkensđ€©
Is it difficult to assemble the keyboard or not? (80he module)
No
This tutorial shows you how to assemble your Wooting 80HE module in one of our compatible cases.

Oh oops knew I forgot something, have to do the unionwell fully enclosed split sound test, will do that tomorrow I guess
Forgot I unpacked those into different storage already
Yeee my flipkoms and keebmat has just arrived
Thnks boss
@harsh dove @stray tiger my wired in keebmat arrives today
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, Ill delete if it isn't.
Is there a list of metal cases for the 80He but specifically from Aliexpress only?
If so where can I find said list?
Currently only found the Aim Bone80.
Yes... aliexpress is my only option sadly.
KBDfans should have an aliexpress store for GT80/holy 80 I think
But other than the Wooting plastic/zinc, GT80, Bone80, holy80 there arenât many more cases available that werenât there from launch
we need wooting to reach out for some collabs
i know the owlabs case is controversial, but personally i like the look of the brand
So I found the GT80 from their official store and it will cost me around 170$ shipped while from their website it would be 200$
While the Bone80 will be 180$.
Any opinions on this.
Or im overpaying and not worth it.
I have the PCR80he
And thank you
You'll have to let me know how you like it. I've only ever purchased the cables
I think I ended up buying the GT80 for $130 ish roughly, but Iâd say the GT80 is the best quality case for the 80HE
Might be a slight overpayment for the totals in your situation, but I think itâs worth it for the case imo
Sheesh
Never had a suede/leather mat but since cam seems to be a big fan of it, Iâm pretty hype for it
Thanks. I just need to wait for a restock on their aliexpress site because only their red and pink case is available currently.
the 60he v2 module is the same as the 60he for friction fitting right?
Kind of, although the 60he one doesnât have poron alpha middle part
the v2 module comes with the friction fit pre installed though right? so i should just be able to use it with my alumaze right away with no changes?
Yeah. If you want you ground it then you can screw in one screw though
But either way you donât need to change anything in the actual module sandwich
thank you đ its confusing me so much bro all ive ever done to my wooting was change the switches
anyone know of some fairly decent keycaps on amazon? iâve looked around on the vendor list and im just not looking to spend $150 on keycaps đ
amazon is a bit rough to find good deals
it's mostly chinese re-sellers marking up something from aliexpress/taobao for 2-3x the price
fair, but i do like the convenience of faster delivery on amazon. iâm just fairly new to modding keyboards and not sure how much keycaps change the sound. iâve bought the lekker tikken medium switches from wooting and gonna do some foam/tape mods, looking to get a deeper and less hollow sound
just trying to understand if keycaps make a difference in sound or if i can pretty much get any cap set iâd like
Depends on the keycap material
and profile
seems like iâve got into a new rabbit hole đ and im about to just keep digging to find out what profile and material will best suit what iâm looking for
wouldâve never guessed keyboards could get so in depth
nah it aint that depe
Deep*
Think of it like this
Whats your favorite sound of the world of keyboards, if you dont care and wanna explore id say go for it
thickness and material can change things a fair bit. Like my tikkens on my 1.7mm fbb pbt keycaps sound much deeper than deep clack flux on 1.5mm tutkeys pbt keycaps
i don't know about them
shitt okay is cool
i assume they're just some dye sub collab
Pretty sure doki only has that one hyte set
BRO i need me some doki keycaps that are detailed one day đ cant wait
They donât play well with copper
honestly just looking for a nice deep sound, iâve got the 60he in a tofu60 and honestly donât even know what kind of keycaps iâve got currently but it sounds quite hollow
Yo how am I seeing people online getting their boards already when I bought during the founders campaign and it hasnt even been shipped out yet.
for the deepest sound possible, youd probably want to get smth like ceramic keycaps or if you wanna stick with plastic, really thick pbt keycaps
and probably dyesub
What he said
The tricky thing with keycaps is you never know the formula for pbt
Some pbt brands are higher/lower percentage of pbt and you donât know how itâll affect the sound until you get it
Sno, besides the TIs 40g and Tikkens with 35g, 45g springs, do you know other option worth testing? I am looking for light swiches
MMD C1s with their 38g bottom out springs should be a consideration
keep in mind the initial weight is higher on the mmd c1s though
well at least compared to 40g raws
yeah there's a ton. Although some of these superlight ones mess with my typing at first
i notice it when i record sound tests. I'll suddenly be unable to type basic sentences because the press weight or distance messes with what I assume a press will feel like in my head
you can have a peek at the database and check out the different options for starting/ending force if you click on specific switch names
where can i buy these ?:))
MMD C1 (one of my favorite switches overall)
god damn
moving shit over to the holy 80
is
such
a
pain
swapping the plate, screwing in standoffs on the plate, then screwing the pcb onto the other side of the standoffs
Thatâs what you get for talking down on soju
Divine reckoning
Amen
has anyone tried akko astrolink switches? are they compatible with 80he?

its the original geon rapotor v2, so yes
any magnetic switch compatible w 80he
much ty
technically incorrect
low profile HE switches are not compatable
i hear the polarity may be differnt for some
yes, maget strength varies from switch to switch
My god i was not prepared for all that
but happy with the results, crosshair keycaps and black holy80
Astrolink switches incorporate a downward-facing N-pole magnet so i thought it wouldnt be compatible
s o j u
banned
the size
essentially would be a full sized keyboard case
i personally just throw my mouse into my backpack and pray
crosshair keycaps you say?
idk why ifon camera has that smudging effect on the left side
and right side actually
finally ordered the stuff
either i get lucky and both things arrive at the same day or when i get tikkens i wait for tx puller or just push switches out the plate lmao or i wait for everything
cause im gonna have to disassemble anyway
Dont make me regret my purchase immediately
I mean its better than some plastic one
im joking, you kinda just need to figure out the optimal way to use it to actually pull out switches
or else youre just gonna struggle
ill figure it out (hopefully)
