I’ll tell you as a Holy80 user, the only reason I didn’t get the GT-80 was the USB port placement. Looking back, I would definitely have chosen the GT-80.
To note: Top Mount is quite picky, so I think for a first custom I would stick with the gasket that is used in the GT-80

I've already told you which I enjoy, everyone has their own preferences though.

If you think about how they work, you push down the little magnet to get within the range of a sensor.
So what will matter from a "speed" standpoint is how easy it is to push down, how far it has to travel and what is the point of actuation.
Now actuation can be set in the software in Wooting, that leaves only the other two variables down to the different switches.

I put in the bottom cover plus foam pad over all the metal standoff sections, has helped the resonance a lot to make case sound decent

Interesting the plastic bottom actually really helps the case sound closer to a plastic case vs full metal case sound

Lemme record a quick sample, it’s quite interesting - the deepness of plastic case plus tikkens vs optimum with deep clacky flux

honestly the surprising thing is how tikken sound changes more than most other switches i've tried when changing 1-2 things. Normally switch sound doesn't change that drastically, but it's interesting just how much different it sounds with different plates/cases/keycaps

I think in this case even just the slightly thicker keycaps of the fbb opxy are making the tikkens suddenly sound way deeper

after testing back and forth a lot of the deepness comes from the fbb keycaps though, but it does show you can get holy60 to decent sound if you do friction fit plus cover the bottom to stop resonance

big problem with holy60 previously is the resonance would pass through that entire spiderweb open structure, but with the way i set it up with plastic bottom + standoff covers + covering metal standoff edge with the included foam cover as well, all of that stops that annoying resonance issue

Yeah people were quick to clown the sound (or lack thereof) of a Holy 60, but I think it sounds great. I might have to try a PBT set on it. Not sure if using the polycarb version (the one I have) would improve the thockiness, but definitely curious to try now.

they're good, although when properly lubed it doesn't matter what stabs you have. knight and yikb just have an easier time lubing it right vs stock which requires the right type of heavy lubing

mostly yes if you mean tray mount, but no if you mean friction fit/3rd party mounting systems

many will friction fit fine, but there might be some that have thicker/thinner clearances where friction fit might not fit or if they use their own special plate then it will have issues for split spacebar config

if you're buying a non split then everything that is compatible with v1 should work same with v2 though (outside of the friction fit variances that I mentioned)

they're silent and were recommended previously because they were the only silent option, but they're awful as far as switches go

Yeah the spacebar kits though are only the aesthetic kits from what I can tell which are either the pink or the blue for the 80082 set. The grey spacebar included in the aesthetic kit are not 6.25

Great smooth pbt feel, almost like abs; but not my favorite (EPBT’s chalky pbt feel is the best imo).
