alright thanks!
Wouldâve been cool if it wasnât pink but thatâs also one of the sacrifices đ
currently they are 48euros. dont really wanna be paying that much
yeah, plus id only see it during the night when my room turns into a cave xD
Yeah, from chilkey or WS like right before Chinese batch

lubing? What does it mean? Mechanical keyboard here... đ
Always wondered how you can lubricate your lekker switches or grease your stabilizer wire. In this video, we will deep dive on different methods of lubing and some general tips and tricks. Using the Wooting 60HE.
Krytox GPL 205G0 and Molykote EM-50L lubricant:
https://region.wooting.store/products/lubrication-set-krytox-205g0-molykote-em-50l
:...
Many switches come lubed from the factory and don't really need hand-lubing
Earlier meaning September, not May 2025 unc
About as moot of a point as âerrm you have to factor in the official store pricing at all times bc of the few who canât read âď¸đ¤â
unless its TTC KOM
I pick two silent switches in Alixpress
Haimu Dove 13.73⏠70p
Tecsee HE 40.25⏠70p
yall got any recommendations for a taller base?
the one on the 60he feels too short compared to my hyperx
I think I've asked before, but I can't remember exactly so I'll ask again
How quality are the stabilizers on the 80HE default? In other words, would it be worth trying to swap them out for different stabilizers, rather than simply hand lubing them and leaving it at that.
theyre fine
not the best of the best, but also not the worst
Gotcha, i think I'll want to swap them out eventually then, just because I like to customize things to my liking
But that can probably wait a while
If anyone knows, what are the default stabilizers in the 80HE? It would be nice to look up some comparisons so I can get an idea of what I'm looking for.
Gateron screw-in stabilizers
Thanks!
Stock stabilizers will sound the same as third-party ones, if you properly lube and tune them
I'm going to do that first before I try anything else, I'm mostly just keeping this on the backburner
As a possible modding option
@glacial wind does the jade ultra have even less wobble than all the other jades?
Bottom wobble yes
oh it's already on there, thanks
Sound good too for me
so geon raptor v2 is still the king of stability? i've tried geon raw, and while it was stable, it was kind of scrapey. there was noticeable stem friction
Its also the king of spring crunch

Overall wobble yeah, but bottom wobble is still a bit worse than some walled stem switches
Also spring crunch
never heard of spring crunch but it's fine, i don't care that much about the sound
It's not only the sound, you can feel it
Spring crunch would be something you feel
oh maybe that's what i felt then?
idk it was like a noticeable initial friction if i remember correctly
Raw has a different issue
Pretty sure thats just a tolerance thing
oh sorry, you're talking about raptor v2 yeah
You can wipe off some lube on the stem and top housing and that initial friction will be gone or at least get better
Where do the ti hes rank on sno's list? In terms of wobble
ah ok, thanks
where is this spring crunch felt on the raptor v2? how far down?
Not bad
some don't notice it at all
for me it happened on multiple keys and I stopped using them
very annoying
Some donât get it*
that would bother me. can't you just replace the spring?
Swapping springs won't help. I tried stock springs and TTC springs, both developed crunch.
Switch design is just flawed
how did they find it acceptable to go to production with that massive flaw
Gn
order more and just swap the whole switch imo, thats what i went with, it's cheap af
Will still make money and it's okay enough for mos people, if I had to guess
Whats the goat of magnetic switches sound and feeling wise?
It's subjective, but something like the Flux has alot of upvotes
đ˝ we shall see soon enough
crunchy

Just how we like it
XVX new silent switch or the Deep Clacky boys?
oh yeah mine also started doing that on a few keys
always happens on my W key after I swapped it for some other switch
Literally every single cool and versatile design for keycaps I can find for some reason are missing just one key, well most just donât have the ISO ones but tbh they mainly are missing the enter one and some even have the sizes for the other keys. Examples are the XVX venom keycaps, the G-skill crystal crown ones, the xvx spider web ones, and other similar keycaps. Also the clear ones I found either had that problem or they had orange legends which I highly doubt looks good.
What do I do đđđ
I'm in a similar boat, but i will just use a conversion kit most likely

I feel so scammed and the last thing I want to do is try and do customer service with kbd
Man I got the ad for the V2 and opted for the 80he module with the new lekker tikken switches and a G80 case
Reddit post I even checked to make sure this was gonna be azure before ordering, because azure is blue not green technically
Are the lekker tikken, prelubed enough?
Could be worse #đ§âkeyboard_modding message
What the helly
Iâm sorry for their lose
Just gonna sell this case on FB marketplace and find a new case through a different company
Assuming theyâre like the Lekker V2 in terms of factory lube they should be fine
Nice I can't wait, I just got my key caps from kbdfans today. I'm soo impatient.
The (admittedly few) interactions i had with kbdfans customer service were always good and nice
It's passable. Definitely benefits from extra lubbing imo
I havent had any issues with the lube on mine
Some people said their support at times is so nice that if something shows OOS, they will check and go out of their way to make it available for you if theres leftovers.
They arent like ttc pom where you have to lube them no matter what
Yeah let's see, it's my most custom keyboard I owned. I was just worried because I saw other people lubing and it's the one thing I haven't ordered
Dont worry about it
I can say with some certainty itâll be good to go to start
Youâll need to lube it in like 2 years or something
Just donât want to go through the hassle of shipping back to China.
Honestly I can't wait, it was all good until the key caps arrived from china. Now I really can't wait, everything just looks so good
I bought the gt-80 in green and the pbtfans Emma kit, with novelty and contrast.
You guys think it's a good combination? I'm worried the greens aren't gonna match well
Slightly different shade is still fine if both are nice color
in terms of responsiveness and being good for gaming, are raptor v2 the best switches?
All HE switches are equally responsive
It's all about sound and feel.
oh ok
if i like the 45 weight option, is it better to get lekker tikken medium and swap it to a 45 spring or get lekker l45 v2 switch
like does tikken medium have other advantages over lekker L45 v2 or is it just spring difference
i heard tikken has less wobbel and 4mm travel but is that only based on spring?
Did you look at their international kits?
Ik quite a few sets dont include it in base set and you gotta order international separately
main advantages is less stem wobble.
also heavier spring weight with the medium switches
compared to L45
While I do not have an exact answer for you, let me share my experience, 45g Lekkers V2 provides a soft typing experience, but I do not like the sound, anyways 55g is too much for my liking, so I am not getting Tikkens with my V2 module, I am using the TIs Heavy 50g, but still I would rather to use something lighter. In the meantime the best new switches come from nowhere I will use the LekkersV2 45 I already have. The thing is if you get the LekkersV2 you will not like the sound for sure. You can maybe get the Tikkens as an starting point, and down the road try the TIs 40g or other new light switch release
Probably better to get Tikkens and swap the springs, because Tikkens have improved tolerances for less stem wobble and a closed bottom for better feel and more distinct sound profile.

is the 60 v2 worth it over the 60he+
Haimu also has a raed clone now
you'd wanna get the TX AP 22mm (TX UXL) 45g springs
Specs Material: PBT materialďźABS for transparent keycapsďź Profile: Cherry profile Production Method: Dye-sub Manufacturer: PBTfans Packaging: ABS keycaps tray with designed tray cover Friendly Reminds: Only keycaps included, no keyboard Compatibility: Cherry MX switches and MX-style clones Designer: Soya Geekhack IC Pa
another drink based keycap set
wait its actually kinda fire

Module is literally the same thing but minus case keycaps switches
this is going on the list
Yeah
what's the difference between this one and the wooting L45 spring
you could use that too as Mark has confirmed it should fit, but those would closely match the stock spring
is TX AP 22mm (TX UXL) 45g springs and the wooting 45g spring almost the same? which one would be better for gaming
Its a banger
its too similar to my sojus other than the fact its pbt instead
and japanese instead of korean
Thats p nice tho
I decided to cop the holy60
i feel so weirded out from looknig at 6.25u now
it looks good doe
win mods is cute
every press = DRINK
bottoms up!
Is the TOFU60 Redux good or should I go with a different case?
im getting split soon enough
yayyy
i got clear novelties too
iâll use em when i get v2
i wanted these but there was no international kitđ
rip
i might get pbtfans doppelganger multilingual thoughđ¤ i like the mostly neutral tone with the slight colourful accents
not bad
kinda retro theme
yeah i fw them heavy, cant decide if i get a white, gray or silver case though
retro themes are cool when done right
silver

max gaming responded to my email asking abt the gt60 and they said they are getting info on aquiring it
whatever that means
so not anytime soon
yeahđ might have to get the silver tofu redux
or then i bite the bullet and order it from kbdfans along with the keycaps, im gonna wait for them to restock all the extra bits though if that ever happens
temu soju
does anyone have any keycap recs
not sure about color yet but I wanna hear some good brands or sites to order from
I recently got my POM transparent caps
Theyâre nice, if you have the right preferences
new switch with new structure from TTC
their new stems are split stem, was shown at the tokyo game show with their silent switch
who's? which one? cause all the ones i listed i could not find anything, for the venom ones there was a 121 key set but it had everything EXCEPT the enter keys
yall seen Glarses made a GMK set
Ye, GMK POB or sumthin
Can't believe they actually put glarses face on novelties kit lmao
amazing kitting btw
I love an international kit for when theres no iso in base
ISO isnt real anyways
Cause perfection isnt real

key down 11ms, key up 15ms
Ohh, didn't know the RS7V2 was up there, interesting
he usually gets the latest big brand stuff
Rakka80 also seems interesting, i have to look into that.
Where is the Atlas, or am i blind?
ohh its covered
ye
yeah i can see it
ty
rakka 80 edge on rakka dot dev, is that the correct unit? (not atlas, seeming as thats actually 60% i don't care)
yes
Hello guys. Does the 60v2 module includes the friction pad?
yes
It says poron pad on the description. Its that wrong? (Ansi split module)
maybe it comes with poron someone told me that it has friction pad as the normal v2 with case so i think it comes with friction pad
but can be wrong
I have one spare iso friction pad if it doesnt come perhaps I can mod it ...
Poron pad is a sound mod, friction pad is for mounting
I know, but you have the put the friction pad where the poron is. What do you mean?
Mi 60+ is built on friction fit pad.
They arenât mutually exclusive
It wasnt like this on the 60+ right?
It makes sense now.
Right it wasnât cut around the alphas
So it makes sense that it comes with the friction pad. Thank you!
@fair heart
lol
fuck friction all my homies love screws
Rest in peace Aula
are there after market cases for the 80he yet?
GT-80
As Turing said, also Holy80, Bone80 (i think this was the name) and Branch80
holy80
much appreciated everyone đ
was their a switch tier list that listed them off sound, stem wobble, etc?
Sno has made his yes, but i don't have the link, just his general recommendation picture
#đ§âkeyboard_modding message looks like this
https://wootingmods.com/switchguide/ found it in the pinned messages, scroll to bottom and theres the database
you can go direct to the database here: https://link.wooting.io/soundtests
Hello guys , do you have any website for ordering a 80HE case in europe ?
Was more thinking about some aftermarket
like the gt80 but without expensive shipping and extra fees when its not comming from europe
ty
There are also 3rd party you can get but the main wooting store shld hv it
anyone have a good comparison for gateron jade pros vs ttc kom pom linear vs ttc kom rgb linear (the wooting versions)?
I currently have the jade pros and was wondering if a different switch would be better for fps games and geometry dash. I heard the ttc kom switches have very low stem wobble
sound isnât a huge factor for me as long as itâs not awful
Switch database has them https://library.wooting.io/225eb39179848072869fdddc3b9ae808?v=225eb39179848012bc64000c9fe9d9c8
If you're looking for stability polar pros, TTC Helios and Raptor v2s are the current recommendations as per the chart
thx Iâll check that out
gateron jade pros didnât seem to get that good of a rating. previously I saw a lot of ppl saying they were rlly good. was that for other areas?
More so a bunch of newer switches have come out since they released
oh
in addition to the low stem wobble, I think Iâd also like a switch with a moderately strong spring and 3.5mm travel distance or lower. Iâm not too sensitive to this stuff for fps games so itâs mostly just geometry dash Iâd want this for. so the three switches you mentioned would be good?
Should be yep
thx
any thoughts on owlab ti switches? Iâve been hearing a lot about them
They're solid, especially for the price
My Holy60 copycat arrived and it looks really good in deep cherry red
generally do people like Cherry profile more than OEM?
i do
Cherry is more common for third party keycap sets, oem is usually what keyboards use as their stock sets
i haven't tried a Cherry profile so I'm considering it
I kinda like OEM spacebar but overall cherry is more practical
Any picture, video or sumtin?
The only thing its missing the lighter springs, but other than that they're a fun time + they get extra poppy when you lube them
i have my dcf in my desk drawer ready for the v2

didnât get import tax from ali to the UK on a ÂŁ200 order
EZ dodge
Oh snap
What plate?
Jumpscare
Sorry?
What mouse is above Turing? i couldn't quite see
But the marbly clack church doesnât discriminate
Might be his Maya x
Yeah Baya
gotcha
those jelly bean side buttons cannot
Hide from me
That alone didn't tell me much, F1 V2 and even my Mercury has similar
It does when I look over and see my Maya x
These are the first to rival KoM stability that Iâve tried which is nice to finally see
If anything itâll have slightly better top wobble since the box is reduced in surface area so thereâs less space for it to move around
But largely the same top/bottom
Yeah I think youâre right
Bottom is solid for both
How/why
Idk i still donât have them
Honestly I guess I was a holdout but for me yeah
Honestly itâs pretty similar in feel and stability, just a different sound
But Iâve not used any that could rival the stability before so I couldnât change out
Yeah thatâs about my opinion right now, which is high praise
Now someone get me this stability and 4mm travel gg
Thatâs because you canât get tighter without running into the raptor v2 crunch, so weâre largely going to be running A/S combined until that changes for max stability
So itâs largely sound/feel above all with the same stability
sure, want a side of "thock" with that Sir?
Oh no
Would be nice tbh, i have yet to try 4mm to begin with, might need to see first
how/why
alr bud
but there are some caps i found that promise a more thocky experience, idk how true
alr/bud
It's been a year since I used 4mm but that was the one downgrade I felt in moving from the Lekkers
gotta go back to thocktok
Maybe i should just get a small Tikken sample pack
Definitely excited to try out tikkens on the 60v2 to see what I've been missing in terms of travel
(I could go back to my lekkers but I only have this pair of ears...)
And ofc hobbled by wobble
Constructively/understandingly
fun to use, but once you get used to nice wobble, top wobble is a jumpscare
It's hard to go back to Tikkens after DCF, but if you like 4mm they're nice
I don't really feel much wobble interestingly, and i don't find them loud by any means, i'm quite content with these stock switches.
But ofcourse as an enthusiast i need constant new toys to play with, see whats better or best :)
I'll give them a solid few days on the v2, can't hurt. I only swap out to the 60 on occasion anyway, no harm.
Enjoy what you enjoy my friend
Don't listen to these maniacs
You couldn't have made a more awfully neutral answer
𤡠people get a bit bunched up over this stuff
Except for @tropic urchin he's very reasonable and calm
I just shared how they feel TO ME, i didn't think it was more than that or requiring defence or anything lol
I'm... agreeing with you
If you knew me you would know by now that just because people scream one thing, i will have my own judgement and thoughts about things (especially like to figure things out myself when and where i can).
I guess?
(in other words, don't care what others think)
I went from not liking them into liking them more than I anticipated, so you are correct, reasonable and calm
Flux is a good example of overhyped, but i get the feeling it's somewhat justified, but i won't parrot it until i have tried.
dcf
id argue no, bc you couldn't recommend them without someone asking and you had to go thru 2-3 different qualifiers to even really talk about them
What do you mean?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. As a KoM enjoyer for a year or so these scratch the same itch in a different way.
nobody tried them back when they launched due to price and overblown QC issues, so now that the price is in line with POM, you're seeing a massive wave of interest because of that
Oh yeah at $2 a pop they'd have to do my taxes for me
I still think what i said is accurate, it doesn't make it less of potentially good switch
but again, i can say with more certainty when i tried, i don't see a point to parrot it just because a higher amount of people like it versus another switch
I don't think people should give opinions on products they haven't tried either, but that doesn't stop a lot of people in here
raeds better
It's a current popularity winner, a year or two from now we will have yet another different itch scratch
Thats no problem, everybody does it all over the internet, i was just more pointing out how i do it.
There are several things you can't just try out, so the closest you can get is trying to gather all the material on it available from others, and even that isn't always enough.
Now get cerakeys unc
It becomes a problem when people feel it's more convenient to go with what others say or what seems more favorable by whatever standards they face it against, rather than actually spending the time to thoroughly look into the subject.
I would buy raeds before I buy cerakey
awekeys promises that they make it thocky, i think cera claims are similar?
unsure, but i'm actually looking to get one or the other very soon
Gotta find people whose opinions generally align with your own, or whose opinion you trust.
See no, you need to find opinions that are accurate and supported.
But yes, many of us decide to trust/favor someone we know, wether thats good or not.
Unless the objective is just to "fit in".
What about when it's subjective?
In those cases you respect individuals, not much else you can do
đ
Yeah I saw this one aswell but I also did some research on the database switches and these are compatible aswell
if you're buying from milktooth id consider TTC POM, Owlab ti he, HMX Crystal HE or gamer fuel as those are going to be better stability and newer overall switches from the ones you listed
Funny you had to ask that one tbh, should be quite obvious
Yeah they are from milktooth
WS dashes are basically old jade recolor, Jade ruby is a jade pro recolor, Green Dragon a recolor of the Jade Gaming, so id opt for one of the ones above over those
Tikkens are good
Not on the list but TTC POMs are on Milktooth and are one of my favorites
How are those Turing, since you said they were your favorite until now? anything in detail you can share?
Owlabs are a great budget option
They're just very good for stability, that's the main draw
Also the OGs (what I was using) look excellent in their red and purple drip (nobody agrees w/ me on this fact)
There's so many switches I don't know which ones to get
I have about 5 of them on my list, the biggest issue is prioritizing which to get first :D
to make a new switch list id say probably TTC POM, HMX Crystal HE/Gamer Fuel, owlabs if going by milktooth
But i think i approached it optimally, went with the most expensive first
waiting for sugar free red bull switch
I wouldn't recommend getting TTC switches if you're not going to hand lube and even then they don't sound as good as other options in the database
Ah that's a fair point, TTC go in dry
Sorry I'm relaxing, check out Sno's recordings. They're better anyway.
He just put up POM recordings today or yesterday
I was just curious on your experience, thats all
What list?
Clacky and mid-pitched
A list of switches that i have made for myself based on what i find likely to be good for me
Oh cool
You can't go wrong with any of these. Owlab Ti/Duhuk Herz are loud and clacky, Flux DC, Tikken and UR Ice Ultra have deeper sound profile.
I want something like a creamy switch
I personally prefer the sound of the likes of the Owlab Tis
It's all made up of mostly relatively recent switches, observed conversations and data for several months now (mostly here, but on other platforms aswell).
So i think i made it thorough as i can.
Or jade pros
you'd have to go MX for that
But there are some candidates that we don't know much about, so i opted to try them myself.
I don't know what's creamy, if you like Jade sound profile, you'll like Flux DC.
I see, and the feel was similar to DCF you said? (not sure how that is exactly)
DCF sounds different, lower, but still in the same general ball park
feel, not sound
120 euros for 70 switches????
No, they're a lot cheaper on AliExpress
I mean you said it was your favorite, i wanted to understand what that experience means, sorry that you can't give an answer is very detailed lol.
Sorry I'm just playing a game to chill and try these out
I was curious to know so i get +1 perspective, so to see if those switches worth my time or not.
I'm not buying them from AliExpress
HMX Crystal HE or tikkens imo
or POM
I'm also ingame and was paying attention respectfully
Sorry I didn't mean to snap
All g
If the wobbliness of Lekkers ever gets to you, I can say that they and the KoMs both fit the bill for solving that
Maybe i ask it another day
You tried tikkens?
But there's other recs on that image that I haven't tried yet
Nope, waiting for the 60v2 to try 'em out
Hows the price if anything?
On which?
TTC POM
Not sure right now, they're on milktooth and wooting sells their own variant
Used to be about a buck a pop
Imagine less now
I have a question if I get the tikkens can I put another type of foam in the case to make them more deep/thocky?
okay thats totally doable
thank you man, sorry if it felt like an interview, i just intended it to be somewhat detailed so i understand and can form some opinion on them myself (needs more perspectives either way)
You can swap your case foam if you want sure
All good!
I can just try those too, just not sure how practical or clever to pay for everything, before i know what to roughly expect
What other type of foam can I put in the case?
Like can I order one or something?
atleast when it would be number 6 on the list
Yeah ideally you could get a pack of a few of each, but that usually comes with a tax
thats true, could just get a few
Thereâs different kinds you can use, some ppl use Killmat which is a heavy duty dampener, poron foam, EPDM foam, polyfill etc
I think there's a site that specializes in selling small quantities of a lot of switches but you pay a premium. Someone more knowledgable might know the site I'm talking about - never used it myself and I forget the name đ
Which one of those will give me a thocky sound?
Essentially no problem, i bought UFOs and theres nothing more expensive (for now).
It's just more the principle of how to prioritize, what is clever to buy or not.
While i prefer testing things myself, i have some constraints aswell.
I'm too
Initial price for 65 was insane, several times that of DCF (which was already the most expensive).
Thankfully found a much better listing with higher amount of pieces.
Still more expensive, but somewhat reasonable.
With the initial price, i would rather have bought another 80HE, no switches should be worth that much, unless they offered something cutting edge no others did before.
Deep clacky and ufo is my opinion bro
me so that usps can deliver my new pad tmr
Gn
Feel like we need a new stem shape. Round, square and octagon are too played out.
Oh yeah this should do it.
No way gateron is innovative enough to do some new and diff
Has to be ai
i mean theyve done new molds specific to HE
like orchids
those are housings that wouldnt work on mx
Has anyone tried the MMD Jiyoa C1 Magnetic switch? If so how does it feel?
i have, its pretty smooth from my experience, sounds pretty good
def worth it for like <$30 for 70pc
Comparing it with the geon raw he which one did you like better? (This is if you have the geon raw he)
raws are louder and have a stickyness on the top housing because of luve
c1s are lighter than 40g but have a higher initial force
Ah okay, have you experienced any problems with those two switches on the wooting keyboard?
Sounds good ty!
Yeah the c1 sounds way better tysm
if you want to know other mods for this sound:
tofu60 redux + brass weight
wooting pc plate
friction fit(? i dont remember but it sounds clean compared to what id expect tray mount/screwed in to be)
pbt keycaps
Was gonna link you 4 others who are confirmed owners, 2 of which made videos to help you learn more, but got timed out for 10 minutes (i guess 4 message links are too much).
Anyway Gore covered it mostly, they seem to be excellent switches and cheap.
Here is a link to get them if you need: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009729352804.html
hi, can the tofu60 redux case fit the 60he+? all i see are 60he no +
tysm havent done any mods to my wooting60he+ yet but now i will
Thank you!
yes
do i needa buy the fr4 or carbon fiber ansi plate
no but you can if you want, it just provides a different sound profile
do you have the 60he+ prebuilt?
or a module
ah okay
stock switches
id suggest picking one of those up if you want a better sound but then youd also need stabilizers i thinkâŚ
o
steel plate doesnt sound all too good
personally the sound doesnt matter that much bc my headphones drown out the sound of the keyboard anyway lol
ah okay then yeah you dont need to get it
alright
you can get the brass bar if you want some extra weight and to fill out the hole in the case for it
theres also the foam
it comes with foam or you can use the one from your wooting
Oh we were talking about putting different foam in the case not switches
Hey guys
Just woke up
idk what the convo was about but smth smth case foam and max thock is probably kilmat
Oh I was talking about putting a 3rd party switch in my new 60 HE v2 build and a lot of people recommended the lekker tikkens so I was like can I put different case foam to get a thocky sound with the tikkens? That was the convo
So you recommend kilmat?
tbh i havent heard many sound recordings with people using kilmat
Oh
I remember seeing a video of Squashy Boy modding a 60 HE and he put like a car noise dampener foam and it sounded pretty thocky
But he pressed it with a WD40 can to even it out
Donât know if that works
But if you havenât heard many sound recordings with people using kilmat then what did they use?
im p sure its EDPM foam
material
When squashy boy did it
Most of the time its EDPM foam or some other foam from the case
most people just use foam
or polyfil
Some people use diff mods as well and allat
So basically just use the foam from the case
Thoccc
I hope one day we can achieve HMX level clack in hall effect switches đ
I think I've gotten pretty close to that kind of sound
Maybe not exact, but pretty close
Hit me up with your soundtest đ
Recently swapped to the tikken switches.
Is it possible to 3d print a strap clip for an 80he?
What did u switch from?
Nice build
TTC KOM
Thanks!
Is it better?
Is it better?
Tikkens are better than KOMs in my opinion but both are pretty amazing switches
Tikkens cheaper
Just got in:
Jade Ultras - might just replace my entire board with this, cheaper Sparks
Kailh Ice Creams - base too thicc, couldnât comfortably fit in my steel plate without pushing really hard
Xvx snow steps - Not as clean as raeds, very very scratchy
if one uses:
wooting dye-sub PBT keycaps + raptors he v2 switches + some plastic case
would it be clacky or thocky
what would be thocky to u?
thocky is like a deep sound i think, i don't want it
i want a somewhat high pitch but not too high
idk how to explain it
i don't want it too metal sounding
I picked these up because they stood out as one of the few magnetic switches that could appeal beyond hardcore keyboard enthusiasts, and Iâve been testing them on my Wooting 80HE.
For me, the Raptors are a solid, balanced choice. Great for typing, reliable for casual gaming, but not my go-to for fast-paced WASD play.
Also, if RGB matters a lo...
inbedded ads
its the right timestamp now
oh yeah also does most of the sound come from the switches?
like is that the most impactful to the sound
id say its a big contributor
maybe plate matters more
but idk, i never personally experimented
plates are important
i've been thinking about ABS keycaps cause i thought PBT sounds thocky
but idk how true that is
id say change plates first
pbt will sound deeper than abs
Then probably better to get Owlab Ti, Raptors sound flat
i have a recording of both abs and pbt keycaps in the link i just sent
as well as different plates
https://deltakeyco.com/en-sg/products/gmk-pompei-group-buy
ngl even after being hyped for this set for months, im going to skip it cos no deskmats or nice artisans lol
i should get my soju deskmat sometime
u wont lets be real
yeah
i think i got so petty over deskpad shipping cost that i spent 3 hours during my internship going to the warehouse to pick it up myself
and it was free shipping lol
idk why i did that
though⌠pbtfan calkis đ
maybe if i found them before sojus or wanted another pbt setâŚ
where is the ABS one there
KeyKoBo Soju are ABS (white + blue)
This looks rlly nice!
base + lava lake (roman num stripe) is what i would have gotten
đŻ this!
Would have gone with this set myself if I did not have gmk dots that I am using rn
i literary have a matching deskpad for every keycaps set
so this not having one is so sad lol
Keep it simple, go glasspad instead
get a matching glass pad with the deskpad that goes with the keycaps
wait, a church tinted glass style glasspad would go hard
you should start a glass pad company that does custom prints
So this?
just imagine the profit from goonerpads
Ngl, that could be cool
Need it to be made with Phantom properties if so
Krake raken, though I changed the blade. So its a Hydra kraken
ill start sending pics of what they bought with their invoice
which i know their parents will be the one seeing
i have the glidr original 4 but i need to get new hardware for it
Nabalis Hydra blade on it now, not sharpened. I like my fingers đ
Looking good!
its got 2 decent sized corner dents on one of the handles đ
Been considering ordering a handle inba different color, they would sadly not sell me one with different colors when I bought it
its been so long since ive looked at balis, i havent really bothered learning many tricks a few months after i initially got it
I just fidget with mine, nothing crazy
yeah same
thumb rollover goes in the hall of fame
i cant get the 8 roll down for the life of me
or is it called behind the 8 ball..
smth along the lines
Had to look it up, thats wild
Dream bfk would be acidwrx zzyzx
That one looks insanely good and sounds awesome! @robust siren
what a unique sound
my original 4 has really really really bad play on the safe handle and it sounds so bad đ
i just never got around to replacing the hardware
I need to change my hardware too, screws are getting worn out
Been considering ordering Gravastar Ufo switches
Though not sure if its rlly worth the upgrade over what I am currently using, Owlab Ti switches

But why
Guys I have come up with something. With the people I was talking earlier about switches and stuff what are the best 5 switches for the wooting 60 HE v2 so I can get all 5 of them and compare then so I can pick what I like
A few people told me about the tikkens and the Owlab ti he switches
Oh yeah and the HMX Crystal HE aswell
Dang I keep forgetting about this
lowkey a lot of them are good
Sorry
just difference in pricing
I keep forgetting this exists
Thanks @ionic breach
Is there a website I can get samples of them?
Not samples but like 10 switches of each
Or get some from separate websites
Cause I know the tikkens come in 70 or 90 pieces
Not less
Well you get 10 heavy tikkens for beeing part of the founders campaign
most should
I think itâs 10
Oh really?
Yeah, special edition
Oh the yellow and purple ones?
ye
Theyâre tikkens but they are a recolor?
ye
I mean are they different from the normal ones?
but heavy press
Nice tock sound and stemwobble is said to be even less than owlab ti
my favorite so far that ive tried are the WS Flux Deep Clackys but theres a new Gravastar UFO switch thats been released recently
Ws flux sounded nice too
This video has a sound comparison between them
GravaStar Japanăhttps://x.gd/nrQ6x
GravaStar Globalăhttps://x.gd/BuXBS
My owlab ti costed me more, lol
Oh yeah I saw them too
Though I had them hand lubed too
wtf
đ¤¨
Iâm not sure if theyâre compatible
They're compatible
they both are
Shipping overseas and import taxes adds up
Otherwise they wouldn't be on the recommended switch chart
no local vendors?
Best would be maxgaming, which is located in Sweden
I am in Norway
Ok thanks guys
Though, they dont get everything in
btw dont buy fluxes from the offical website, theyre quite expensive there

that sound test for those gravastar switches sound very scuffed
deepclux cult alert đ
something is not right there, because the deep clack switches already sound weird in the comparison
i don't know what mic they use but something is scuffed in those sound tests
Yeah, after listening to polar pro sound test, I'm not trusting that person anymore lol
I also tend not to trust someone whose answer to every switch question, no matter which criteria is asked for is "buy deepclack flux" đ
Yeah I saw them yesterday
120 euros
lekker tikken or owlab ti for thock
Are you talking about me or what's going on here lol
Anyone: "what switch should I b....
...Gore | GT-60 DCF Enjoyer is typing
"Deepclack Flux"
But buying them from AliExpress seems like theyâre fake
I'm yanking Gore's chain
i got mine and a few others have bought them from aliexpress
whatever recording setup they're using isn't close to real audio at all, because those deep clack sample sections in that video sound nothing close to deep clack flux
I mean he's recommending his favorite switch, which has one of the best stability and a great sound on top of that, so I see nothing wrong there
not everything on aliexpress is fake as like not everything on amazon is real
it's an ongoing tease shafie đ
Good info to know!
And they were the originals?
comparing mine to sound tests ive heard from others, they all seem about the same so id say they are
Buying switches on AliExpress is completely fine, as long as you get them from a reputable seller.
I got them from Wuque and AliExpress, they're identical.
the torontokeyboardman is totally legit though
takes worry out of it if you are not solid on alix
Yes, but it's out of stock iirc
Are all these the sellers?
theyre the ones with the best prices though i havent checked for any more stores in the past week
so "Deep Clack Flux" = "B Thocky Version" and not "A Clacky Version"
LOL That's a rough item description if that's the case
gravastar ufo switch i think can never be on the recommend list if it requires hand lubing though, not as long as they can't be opened by a normal switch opener
oof, that's rough
i'll have to see how their stock lube is though
but not being able to open the switch without screwdriver type methods is not great
Oh okay
Which one do you recommend?
i bought my switches from ggboy, powerpuff girl store seem to have the best prices rn cheery switch store does actually
powerpuff girl store on alixpress
what could go wrong?
Guys should i get the lekker tikkens and tofu 60 redux for my stock 60he and will it improve sound? Also will a different plate make a difference
what plate is good for lekker tilkens
plate material choice is highly subjective
depends on what sound and feel you want
I only have experience with 80HE Zinc case with polycarbonate and FR4 plate and for my ears and fingers, I liked FR4.
can't tell you what material is best for your fingers/ears on 60HE. Others might know more.
Yes, if you're using a stock 60HE now, getting Tikkens, Tofu60 and a different plate such as FR4, will make a huge difference.
subjectively, I really liked FR4 for me.
So I guess Iâll get them from ggboy
Also I'd recommend getting a friction fit pad from Wooting.
The plates are really expensive like 20 dollars so should I get carbon fiber or fr4 or polycarbonate for like a more thocky and creamy sound
wooting pc plate
I'm already stretching my budget with a plate i can't get a friction pad
polycarbonate plate is going to be more muted but a bit less stiff
FR4 plate is going to be more live/bright but also stiffer
have no experience with carbon fiber plates, but based on the construction, it's going to be less dense than FR4 but still stiff, so will probably sound even brighter
So polycarbonate plate, tofu redux and lekker tikkens is good?
Solid
How long will this take to mod
From my stock kb
And how hard will it be cuz this is my 1st time
it's pretty easy
open case
remove keycaps
remove board/plate
dismount plate from board
remove switches
Put switches onto new plate
mount new plate to board
put board/plate into case
replace keycaps
Close it up.
THere's videos.
first time took me about 2 hours
i did case, stabilizers, plate, switches, keycaps
now its max like 30 minutes
https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1436013386855874631 <- different plate sound tests
if you're not needing to lube switches (which with tikkens you do not) then it's just some stabilizer lube MAYBE
so that makes it much faster
omg bro i can't afford all this extra stuff
hehe just save up and mod later then đ
Won't not lubing be fine
im just giving a rough idea of what different plates sound like
tikkens are prelubed nicely
No not u
Follow these guides:
Swapping out your switch plate can seem a bit challenging, especially if you're new to the world of keyboards. Don't worry; just follow this tutorial, and you'll be good to go in no time!

its be funny if you got muted again for this
lol muted for posting wooting youtube links
automod strikes again
Did not know about automod muting yt links, lol
last time shafie got automodded for posting a wooting link
im sure if you spam enough links youd get automodded
I got automodded for linking 4 sets of keycaps in one message
meanwhile me with my 6 aliexpress links:
I hope youâve learned your lesson
Lesson learned: dont help people asking for keycap recommendations
no you got automodded for posting more than 2 links without any text inbetween just as a cluster of links.
turns out bots really like to do that to post scam images
no but we arent gonna invest many resources when usually no one really posts links in that manner so this is the most effective way to block bots from spamming crap in the discord server
Yeah fair
i really wish we didnt have to tbh cause it really sucks with some rules being quite complex and sometimes catching normal users as strays
Well lets just say
Ive seen worse
Once i got muted for saying good night
Now you figure out what triggered that automod
i think we even tried to just block the scam links they usually use until they used normal image hosts like imgur and such so we couldnt really block them efficiently anymore
the nig part of night?

I still find forums to be best
same. i actually run a private forum where i just post my own thoughts on games, series, mangas and such. and one day i might make it publicly accessible idk
aliexpress?
@tropic urchin @sacred elm I have some big news
duhuks were finally destroyed because I didnt pick them up from post office
Rest in peace
Nothing of value lost
Akhtualy, at least $30
Clearly not valued by Mr arc
No military grade pineapple juice to go around
actually it's Wang Lo Kat tea is where im at now
it's all about matcha now if you want to be on trend. Time to start ordering your own matcha and buy one of those $50 matcha kits with the bowl and wisk
also a double walled clear glass to display the matcha while drinking
You had me at tren
to top the trend off you should drink it outside while reading a book about women's health
It should be a book off booktok
if you really want to get fancy you'll also want a glass straw
Thereâs only paper straws here
Hope thatâs okay
Penguin ones or pink?
đ§
Japanese manga better to flex on your reading skill
I'd recommend the jun 415 glass from heriter. Then you can add korean inspired design into your trend collection for the true exodia comp: https://heriter.global/category/jun/87/
tbh astrolinks are all I need right now
they are the perfect jade knights I could never achieve at the time
Now get a copper plate unc
Oh actually, iâm now looking at copper raeds build
Jumpscare
Idk should I
Gonna add this to my list
Might?
EC Wootahh
these look kinda small, not enough to flex matcha
I lead by example
for conventional tea it looks very nice
the big size is pretty decent sized, 415ml
they actually have a 500ml one but i don't like the design as much
guys why does my wooting sound so much worse than the videos im seeing on youtube? they both are stock keyboards
Thereâs 5-10 variables that go into sound tests and 99.5% of them are all using different variables so theyâre rather not useful in comparing to your irl setup
Itâll be easier to see what you donât like and then modding it to something different
if i wanna buy the lekker tikken switches, will the be available in physical stores in japan? i heard that some resellers are there
thx
In America atleast physical stores largely arenât a thing outside of the big box retailers (best buy etc), never been to Japan so canât comment
Easiest Iâd imagine is just ordering from Wooting directly
New switches and a new switch plate (assuming you have a steel plate) would be an easy way to improve your stock keyboard feel/sound
what keyboard is it you have stock
i know this isnt related, but do you think a tofu 60 redux case is available in physical retailers sorry if its annoying you
60he
Probably not, but eBay or online etailing would be your best bet depending on where you live
yeah the og 60he sounded kinda meh stock, you can get a better sound easily with a different switch plate, different switches and maybe a better case
ok thanks
The thing is this hobby is a small niche, so you have to know where to look
Because probably 9/10 sound tests on YouTube are done improperly and have heavy proximity effect - which makes keyboards sound way thockier
and recorded on a high end microphone likely in a sound treated space
the other keys arent horrid but i absolutely hate the space bar and other keys like enter and shift
yeah you might wanna relube or get different stabilisers, and a different material switch plate
whenever you hear that very thocky deep reverb sound you can basically immediately guess that the sound test was done incorrect with he boards. Itâs very prominent in a lot of soundtests
oh ok
i was already asking before, most people just said to switch my plate case and switches
theyâre cheap and easy ways to improve it
since my budget isnt too high
In general yes, but stock stabilizer RNG is a thing so maybe you didnât get a good unit for that and will need to be wire balanced/lubed
who did the sound test for the v2
i would do all of this stuff but everything is so expensive i spent my entire budget on just switches plates case which when i asked like a few hours before seemed like the main thing
Out of curiosity how much are knight v4 stabs where you live
wouldnât stab choice depend which version of the 60 they have? some were only compatible with plate mount stabs no?

they are like 20 dollars ( shipping probably will make it 50 ) but they are all sold out
Where was that updated sheet
Eek
Iâd get some krytox 205g and a wire balancing station when you can, new stabs arenât required, some just require more work than others depending on luck
If you already spent your budget Iâd just wait until you can
what do stabilisers do btw?
stabilise the switch?
Supports your spacebar, enter, backspace and shift keys
so what does lubing them do
Eliminates any ticking sounds and tuning them eliminates any metallic rattle you might get if your stabs are kinda mid sounding
Which seemed like was happening to you atleast partially
Yeah
Here, you can hear the difference different levels of lube have https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAW_vD0BzgM
Every time someone talks about how to lube your switches, they always mention to not over lube! So in this video, I lubed a few switches with different amounts of lube to see what the difference is! In my tests I show how each switch sounds and feels when typing.
I also quickly show how to lube your mechanical keyboard switches, or at least h...
If it isnât metallic sounding then you probably just need more lube on the wire, if itâs very metallic sounding then your wire isnât perfectly flat
what oil are yall using the bag lube springs
might bag lube some of my dcf to see the difference

damn you had that READY
Super lube is pretty good
Browser history -> super lube
It gets asked frequently enough đ
Iâd lube your bottom housing rails/maybe top housing and bag lube and you should be good
Stem doesnât need any attention, a little in the housing and spring should be good
iâve got plenty 205g0, just never bag lubed before, decided to try some of the dcf and see if itâs worth doing the whole set
If you like poppy switches I recommend it
didnât make much of a difference to the owlabs
yeah thatâs what iâm going for, something different than my owlabs iâve been maining
Wdm?
If you swap your switches for ones with a shorter total travel than 4.0 mm, the actuation point shown in wootility will be inaccurate, right? for example, if it shows â1.0 mm,â itâs actually more like 0.825 mm in reality? (since my switches only have 3.3 mm total travel)
Itâs calculated off a percentage atm, but it should be more âaccurateâ visually once the specific switches get added to the switch selector sometime soon
@glacial wind without the risk of angering our beloved Simon, do you happen to know how soon is soon.tm for Switchy selector
I see, so if I have my keys set 1mm acutation point, its lower in reality right?
the next gen is keycapsless, and it's just sensors
extremely soon
It should be the equivalent, but it just appears wrong since it just shows a 4mm lekker instead of your switch, but it should be more dynamic when the selector is live
keep an eye on the beta software info in the near future. There's also accuracy reading updates among other things coming, but not sure if they can make it to this first beta build in time
Kan du inte kĂśpa frĂĽn aliexpress
alright, thank you â looking forward to the switch selector đ
Same
by the way, what are everyone's thoughts here on symbol mods/non alpha keys vs. written legends
we're considering whether we prefer icons vs written legends for some future kits, so taking all opinions into consideration
switch selector and background service beta is next update
which is this week or next week if delayed
I think Iâm team symbols for mod keys (with novelties) and written without novelties
W
Written legends for me
the wooting ... spacebar aint for me tho
Though if I can throw a curveball, written + symbol is really my preferred
i really like blank spacebars
Solution:
Iâm a fan of icons personally because I use keyboards for both Mac and pc and I dislike having Mac legends when on pc and vice versa
What's a good he switch that provides both sound and performance?
But what about command vs alt - symbols fail there as well đ
Written legend
Thatâs what novelties are for
I have weird novelties that donât make any sense for those
Raptor v2, TTC POM, Owlab ti he, deep clack flux, tikkens etc depending on your budget/preference
Weird planet, cluster, 2 circles for my mods
Thank you very much
Im okay with everything being blanks if there's nothing. Just remember which is which and I'll be fine
Does anyone happen to know the foam thickness that will fit under the PCB in a Holy60?
im assuming 1-2mm
Take a look at the modding database as Sno has sound tests as well for most switches
Personally I just mentally map from alt -> command since that's what gets me app switch
It is a shame that there's no perfect solution afaict for devs crossing the linux/macos boundary
Oh wow mega helpful, appreciate it
one day when i move i'll have enough room for 2 desks then i won't have this issue
reminds me of the geistmachine one
TP-1 | Dieter Keycaps â A new evolution in typing. Alternative suggestion: I got an L-shaped desk and have two setups at 90 degrees from each other
Might be a bit more space efficient depending on your need
yeah that's not bad either. I need bigger room for that too though as I can't fit anything bigger where i'm at now
but can't argue with dirt cheap rent and landlord that has barely raised rent in 10 years, especially in this economy
For some reason i always found L shape to be impractical and wasteful.
I have tried it before and it just wasn't it for me :/
what would be true baller is a work desk with permanent top down camera setup
then never need to swap and setup camera for top down shots
𤡠I have a personal and work setup, can't overlap them at all
Thats actually my dream, for the desk i build on, but it's not happening in this current flat thats for sure
2nd camera be pricy too, but that takes care of itself next year when i upgrade to whatever new fx3 v2 that sony releases
My table is just a lil too short for my 3d printer, which kinda sucks
fr I want this. Would be soo rad for rhythm game recording
lol same
or like if I wanna show somebody my hand cam when doing something like building lego
i would start streaming in studying and co working if i can have a good way to have a camera setyp
I have two tables next to eachother, one is for the daily setup and the other is for assembly/repair work or just generally storage. But the biggest issue is not being able to dark the room out, hopefully i can solve this in the next flat.
i just have one real long table
Iâd love written without symbols at all but donât think thatâs very common đ
