but after hand lubing DCF it is SUPER poppy

You are better off getting a different one than you are fixing something that was flawed from the start. Problem is that you can't necessarily find a replacement for these pieces.

And even if you do, they're going to have the same issue

It's a nice keyboard, but no one has actually designed replacements for those components, because it's much easier to get a different board with similar standards

tl;dr is the freya have softer bottom out and top just like all silenced switches, and also the magnet is on the weaker side of our detection. it still works but calibration can take a bit longer

friction fit is a different thing though as not 100% of every case will be friction fit compatible as it can have small variance in how tight it fits

Try moving the switch to a different location. If the fault is in the same place then it's the board that's damaged. If the fault moves, then it is the switch.

Okay, it's indeed the PCB. I removed a switch and tried it in other positions. I did not see anything wrong visually, so it's probably just broken.
Is there an option to just get the PCB, or do I need a new keyboard?

I'm really happy with the Wooting x TTC KOM POM. They're 55g springs as I recall. But it's very subjective whether that stronger spring "feels good" or "feels bad."

I chose them to prioritize stability and activation force and I don't care about sound.

I also did have to lubricate them all by hand and learn what amount of lube I liked where. I also had to rework a few that were overly lubricated.

Got my GT80 today. Super happy with it. Very impressed with the overall quality of it.

The only thing I would like to find a fix for is the light bleed with the rgb bar.

I am using the diffuser rubber piece as I like the look of it but this doesn’t have a way to block excess light bleeding into the other keycaps.

Anyone come up with a way to block this section off or any other way to fix this?

All of those switches are sound tested in the database just fyi if you want to hear soundtests of them

Zinc will be deeper, Holy80 since it has a lot of holes in the case will diminish the sound and might be more muted of the two @trail bane has it so you can ask him for case quietness, but you can also use heavier duty dampening (Killmat) to make it quieter. Of the switches you listed, probably tikkens are your best bet as owlab ti is high pitched, Jade pros are clacky, and tikkens will have better stability than lekker

Nah holy80 is good choice if you’re completely blind to gt-80

Mostly looking for most muted option for case, GT80 probably won’t be that, but you can do a lot to mute most cases
