LED bar
i found it thanks
Is this the direction I insert these? They said north
Yes.
Ok thanks
Tikken is there, you just haven't realised it arrived yet
Aye man some of us have living on the other side of the world debuff
i got orange man trolling us
why is kbdfans giving me a tracking number for instabox
Lol technically I got to try them a while ago
but I received mine two days ago
if fluxes didnt exist i think id use the tikkens
Yeah I really like the Tikkens tbh , they feel really nice to me
55g is a weird spot
idk if its just me or like the tikkens have a weird âstepâ or almost a tactile feeling to then
Probably cause youâre not as used to 55g long spring
The starting force is higher than other springs while bottom out stays same
42 instead of say 28 or 35 for most other springs starting
So the start of press requires a stiffer press to start pushing, that was on purpose for accidental actuations etc
@marsh juniper hey, hopefully this question deserves an @, what address do I send my wooting post card to?
uhhh yes... the address let me see if i can find it
sent a DM
saw it thanks!!
Guys, do you like this type of key that I would put in the Wooting 80HE? https://aulakeyboard.com/it/prodotto/marble-side-engraved-keycaps/
as long as you like it
I think it looks good
idk how it would be with north facing leds tho
What do you mean with north facing?
Ok ok
I would most likely leave them as they are in the photo
if you liek how the keycaps look get them
Ok ty I'll consider it
xvx keycaps clone

Can you send me a photo? I don't have an Aliexpress account
You can easily check in your browser and maybe find something you like more for a slightly lower price and bit better quality
Other websites/brands where can I find good keycaps?
Omg what a list ty hahaha
@gaunt plume https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=983080527266 huano new switch
any recs for a really clicky switch? but not like loud js higher pitched ig? and pref budget (ti he r kinda exy )
Im tempting to buy raptor v2 he switches
Does anyone tested them and can tell me if they are Worth or good?
And whats Bad about them?
They have the best combined stem wobble, but they can develop spring crunch (not everyone has felt/developed it, so might be worth gambling on since theyâre cheap)
Oh thanks
Is there anything what could help against the spring crunch?
Not really, iirc itâs a design issue since most non boxstem switches arenât that tight (for both top and bottom stability) and its design is kind of state of the art atm.
I tried spring swapping with my TTC POM switches which are the only compatible springs but still happened
owlab ti he vs herz ? are the ti he worth the extra money? i want a sound profile like the ti he but its a bit expensive, so just curious if i could get the herz instead or if there are any better switches for that really high pitched clacky sound
Oh thank you
Herz is good/similar
ahhh okok, thank you, those two would be probably the best two switches for a really high pitched build right?
yeah i had a listen but i just wanted to check, they do sound really similar.
The most high pitched would be between owlab/original flux switches but those are going to be alot more expensive, but owlab/herz would be a good place to start
sorry could i clarify what the "owlab/original" and the "owlab/herz" switches are? are u talking about frankensteining a switch?
Was referring to these but the original Wuque studio flux switches
They are the loudest/brightest switch to my knowledge
But one of the most expensive
I put owlab and herz together bc theyâre basically the same switch
Thatâs what I said yeah
ohhhhhhh okok thank you. ill give the herz a try just cuz its a lot cheaper
how about you buy some deep clack fluxes
If only they werent expensive
divinity comes with a cost
if it was cheap it would be at dollar tree
He wants bright switches
So heâd be better off with the original but not worth the WS website MSRP
Hello everyone, I just joined last night as I am getting into the advanced keyboards. I just bought the wooting 60he+ and am extremely excited for it. I do not know too much about the different kinds of switches and what is compatible or not. I was looking for some advice as to what would be the quietest switches that will work with the wooting. It doesnât have to be of course silent but I havenât ever been a fan of loud noises like my first two cheap previous keyboards. Any direction would be greatly appreciated!
Oh perfect, thank you and I will check this out
Tempted to get the new switches for my 80HE
Iâd say the new Wooting tikkens would be up your alley
Just came out, affordable, has similar stability as owlab ti he and has a good sound/little more tamed from other switches
when you go to remap i believe what you want is called "cycle"
man actually is there someone here who uses a mac layout đ if so help me out, share it - wootility is confusing me
anyone have tecsee switches, and have lubed them?
did you get them and what were your thoughts?
I hope you enjoy your 60HE+!
They're average imo, not the biggest fan of a lot of their profile options
is there really a difference if you tape mod 80he yourself
Not really as it comes tape modded stock
yea thats what i thought
Slight differences
emphasis on slight
gotchya gotchya, and any thoughts on Drop? I know they seem to be a bit "tiktok-y" but I can't lie some of them like the Lord of the Rings ones are fire but idk if they're quality

Thank you!, Iâm very excited to see all that it has to offer
whats the material on them?
"DCD profile, Dye-sublimated PBT, Compatible with Cherry MX switches and clones"
and it would be going on my 80HE
They're fine keycaps, obviously paying more for the licensing. But if you dig the theme go ahead
Depending on how much it is, might be worth it
wtf rubber keycaps are a thing? is that a cheap thing? cause they sound like they'd feel good idk why

on sale for fitty buckeroonies
idk about rubber, but silicone yeah i know
they call it "rubberized ABS plastic" whatever that means lol
so what materials are generally good for keycaps?
Common materials are usually ABS or PBT
ABS typically shines easier but has a brighter sound and has more punchy colors
PBT is usually more durable, usually sound a bit deeper, has more muted colors
there are other materials such as POM for that translucent shinethrough look , Polycarbonate commonly for a more transparent look, or more exotic materials like ceramic, or metal
ohhh so ABS isn't necessarily cheap or worse, it just has different cases?
oh thank you! I've been wondering what materials are translucent
i still havent really found the keycaps iw ant anyway closest is little ghost from osume
yeah it depends
what do you want?
idk I'm just planning to get a black case and i'd rather get pbt
wooting pbt keycaps are pretty good tbh if you just want a black set
yea fair but idk lmao
depends how much you wanna spend on keycaps
i just got pbtfans crosshair but they were like $100 after shipping and customs
$115.92
i dont mind spending a ton lol
*3:42
Same vibes
Huh

Luckily it's not public holiday in China RN (it is just south of it)
3 day weekend for me so Iâm happi
What are you waiting for
Legit as something arrives I go back to ordering more shit đ
And then itâs another 1-2 week wait
I might have a problem
For something tasty
Titons?
Yep tiktons
You lucky guy
I lowkey hate DHL, their lazy asses donât work on Sundays and donât bother updating the tracker
Kinda
I ordered fluxes and then got kkb sojus and now a case, all ordered back to back
Need help
gotta wait next month so i can actually buy em đ
Are you US?
nah
Oh

All you need is to receive a divine message
Already out of stock?

Thinking about if I should swap my 60HE stock steel plate to the PC plate? The 80HE uses the PC plate and I liked the way it sounded. Is there a huge difference in terms of typing feel and sound going from a steel to a PC plate?
Yes, there's significant difference
Please explain
If you like more muted sound and softer feel, get PC
Yeah, steel is the stiffest plate
FR4 is a balanced plate, kinda between steel and PC.
Cause I think that I am after that softer typing feel, steel plate doesnt feel very satisfying when typing on cause its so harsh and when you clash down on a key there just so much resistance and stifness when you bottom out
Doesnt that mean I would most likely find a different plate more satisfying to type on? How would you describe the PC plate feels sorry if it feels like we are going in circles just want to know before I make a buy?
@sacred elm
Yeah, sounds like youâd like the PC plate more. It feels really soft and has a muted sound compared to steel, way less harsh when you bottom out. FR4 is kind of in between; itâs stiffer and louder than PC, but still much quieter and softer than steel. So if you want something that feels softer and less stiff, PC would definitely be more satisfying to type on.
Basically bottoming out on steel plate stock 60HE feels very BLUNT and I think I probably would prefer A BIT more cushion not so harsh to type on. That is the best way I would describe typing on the 60HE steel plate its very harsh to bottom out on
Get PC plate from Wooting then đ
Gonna have to give it a try out will never know until you try it out but it sounds like the way to go for me
Fuck man I just ordered the Tikkens I could have ordered the PC switch plate with it now I just wasted more money :(((
đ
Probably also doubled up because of the tray mounting on the 60HE if you had the friction fit it would probably be less harsh
softer plate will not "cushion" the bottom out, cause it doesnt change the switch itself, but it will reduce vibrations that occur after the bottom out of the switch
but it will still feel a bit softer and quieter to type
Does it not feel softer to type on?
It does
ye thats what i thought
What case are you using
And quieter
it does, Im just saying it will not soften the way the switch bottoms out
like a silent switch would
Im using the plastic ABS I think stock one
I'd recommend friction fit pad, Hopper mentioned above, but it's not compatible with the plastic case.
Yeah thats ok im not complaining about my switch im just complaining about how the steel feels STIFF
Cause like lets use the Tikkens as an example, typing with Tikkens on the steel is going to feel different than typing with teh Tikkens on PC
Even though the switch is closed bottom isnt the typing feel is still going to feel different when you are bottoming out ?
It changes out the bottom out feeling like when you are typing on PC isnt it going to feel different
@sacred elm @calm pulsar
if you hold a steel plate and a soft plastic plate like PC and knock on them, it will produce a different sound and will give different feedback to you
so in a keyboard the difference will be similar to this
best I can describe it lol
Ok thanks
I just realized though the 80HE has a ton of different internals compared to the 60HE its very different
safe to say PC will be quieter and softer feeling so just get it
yeah 80he has a softer mounting system too which affects the sound as well
what plate does 80he come with, POM ?
Thats essentially what I am after that softer typing feeling and if it produces a slightly quieter sound then im game for that too
Plates are something that you have to try a few before you get a good idea of what you prefer. It also lets you try different builds overtime so it gives you some versatility. So even if you do get a few plates, its not a huge waste imo
PC
PC
ah
The 80HE stock also comes with a tape mod
Stock 80HE is pretty fking decked out internally
For sound dampening
Compared to the 60 HE+
the biggest difference between PC and FR4 is that when you hold the PC plate it flops around like a fish out of water, where FR4 is more rigid, but when you're typing FR4 still has an inbetween feel for softness and rigidity for gaming
Tape mod is not always good for sound dampening
It might even make your keyboard louder
No im just saying its got a lot going on internally the 80HE
wait i got the video

Comes stock with tons of mods
i present: le PC plate
Ah yeah, Stock 80HE is better than stock 60HE in terms of that
Damn its so flimsy
Interesting
Thanks for the feedback everyone and you are right you wont know if you truly like it until you give it a shot
Gonna pull the trigger with the PC switch plate mod on wooting website for 60HE and will see how I like it with the Tikkens. My Tikkens are supposed to come tomorrow also
"drake gonna get me in troble" ahh video

Thats me sort of
Hope the Tikkens sound sexy in my 60HE + PC plate đ
Love the 4mm closed bottom!
the video i linked were the tikkens
Iâm all in on titon + Copper top mount synergy
Oh I didnt realize that
You sent it because its the Tikkens on a PC plate sound test?

yep
also friction fit
Let me relisten
I mean does it really make a huge difference screw in or friction fit for sound?
Yours will sound different because of plastic case and tray mount
yes
lemme send a comparison of other switches rq
did you order tikkens already?
Kinda
#đ§âkeyboard_modding message
listen to the 1st and 2nd
I hear slight difference
tray mounting transfers a lot of the vibrations into the case
friction fit pad pretty much gets rid of that
anyone here done a tape mod on the uwuting pad? any noticeable difference?
help me out chat, I need to find some nice pastel keycaps (gradients are cool if they can be found, if not idc) -- they cannot be shine through though qwq
looking for pinks/blues/purples n stuff like that, if it's girly we love that
werent you looking at osume? they fit that color palate very well
Yeah osume is the go to for stuff like that
ty ty
Anyone else got any tikken sound tests?
Anyone get tikken yet?
Mines supposed to becoming tomorrow
is that wooting switch review list somewhere available
:soon1:
WS Fluxes Deep Clacky
they arent my cup of tea due to the spring weight but id say overall theyre nice
I like the colorless enter key, berry nice
W
ikr
like can you see your flux and gold wire stabs
You have these on the PC plate correct?
i can send a sound comparison between deep flux and tikkens
fr4
W
Whatâs the travel on them?
I love my Astrolinks/Raptors, but I also have a pack of Flux waiting to be tried out
too lazy rn lol
Not 4 like tikken right
You said you didnt like the spring weights why did you find them too heavy?

dcf are 3.5mm iirc
yeah it just felt weird to me, i used 40g raws for a year before i got the flux deep clacky which are 50g and used them for less than a week before i tried out the tikkens which are 55g
Generally speaking, is higher weight bottom out better for typing?
Also how did you like the Tikkens on the PC plate how did they feel?
im not sure as since im so used to 40g i get fatigued quicker on higher spring weights
though im trying to fix that by brute forcing my way through flux deep clacky
i dont really have anything equal to compare them to
You definitely can acclimate to the higher weight springs you just arent used to it thats all.
id say if theyre your first new set of switches, i think youd like them just fine, tighter tolerances overall compared to lekker v1+v2s
they sound nicer with the closed bottom
Nice
Im thinking of pairing them with a PC plate cause im using stock steel right now but I dont think I like it that much
im ngl i tossed the steel plate like a week into having the wooting lol
personally no, i used raws which were 3.4mm for a year
and fluxes are 3.5
ah then itll be fine
Bet bet
they include a nice little card with switch specs, cool
If travel distance doesnât affect anything why do people talk about it?
Iâm just confused on what it affects
some people like the full 4mm travel
it does affect the physical feel a little bit
simply a bigger distance to travel to the bottom
doesn't affect actuation that much cause its HE
my card for dcfs were wrong
Ah gotcha
Yeah cause its so stiff right? Does the PC make a huge difference cause for me the steel feels very unsatisfying to type on too stiff
Total travel distance is personal prefernce
well personally i did it for sound
lol did they put the normal flux card?
nah wrong material for one of the swtich parts

What about in terms of feel
Do you feel it less stiff
id say so but plates typically arent supposed to flex as much on HE keyboards
i didnt even know it came with a card
at least from those who ordered from ali never said they got a card but everyones did arrive in that jar
i got mine from ggboy in aliexpress

I got mine from mmd ainy and they included a card hehe
ainy wanted me to give them an extra 20 compared to ggboy
alright i know its 6:39am over in beijing rn but i kinda need them to wake up and give me my gt60 case right neow

anyways @prime orbit if you wanna order DCF on aliexpress heres the links: just check whichever one is cheapest for you

astrolinks vs flux sound test (text version):
ddddffffsssssssaaadddddddfffgggggggggggggggggggggggggggg ttggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg
What do you guys think is the nicest case I can put my wooting in? Currently have it in a salvation, and might pick up a patina tofu when it comes back in stock
I can see that the flux is better
Salvation is already a nice case imo, I have mine in a og frog mini
gt60, optimum, frog mini leggera are all good options too
Yeah I was just wondering if anything looked better
they would be really good imo if they made them a bit tighter overall, but I didnt notice the heavier spring as much so thats a decent win for tikken
does anyone have a wooting 80he profile that allows setting up something similar to auto hotkey?
essentially making holding down a button into spamming it
You can't do it with Wootility.
Only with AutoHotKey.
i see
is it jsut a downloadable program or is it much more complicated than that?
im not too experienced in the area
Same, can't help there sorry
no worries
they are both very good honestly
the switch stabiliity is just so perfect these days, I think switch manufacturers should try different materials now, like WS are doing with Flux/DCF
I prefer rapter/astrolink sound vs fluxes
wonder if it will be possible to get S ranked top wobble with octagonal stem kinda like how HMX has S tier bottom stability without having walled stem
Which switch in this list would replace geon raws?
I think HMX achieves this by having a longer rail part of the stem compared to more standard switches like owlabs/tikkens/jades
it makes top wobble very good, but may introduce extra tightness, which is a plus for us MX Susans, amirite @fluid ravine
lol "Alright Bud Guy"
I use geon raws myself are there a better switch from that list for me to recommend to others
Alright bud
if you're gonna stream you should replace chat with bud
bud is this real
Yes, any of them
You can find more switches and their sound tests here: https://link.wooting.io/soundtests
Raws aren't there for a reason
gateron wasting all that time with dual rail when they just needed the Large and Tall rail this entire time

besides getting tikkens, is there any other upgrade for the two he available?
literally anything from the switch list
Scroll up a bit
no, my point is, besides getting new switches
they might've meant other things to do with keyboard other than switches
but for 2he there's pretty much nothing else you can do lol
ah
oh well, saves me some money then lol
Oh, other than doing some small mods such as the tape mod, not really.
you could try different foams for the case and tape mod, but it's not gonna be as meaningful as replacing plastic case with a metal case, which isn't available on 2he
Whats most similar for me to recommend?
Owlab ti hes are most similar in terms of sound and price
two he has 104 keys if I counted correctly, what are you supposed to do? get two 70 packs?
Duhuk Herz/Owlab Ti/UR Ice Ultra - budget options, good sound and feel, decent wobble
Wuque Flux "Deep Clacky" - a bit pricy, has less stem wobble while bottoming out, sound/feel good
Pretty much, some stores aside from Wooting sell switches individually

there's no 35 pack? bummer
only 70 and 90 on wootings website
i shall wait then, no hurry, thanks
Im gonna give up đ What am I doing wrong? I just put geon spacers cause keycap was loose on sides and it started working like that.
stab pads lol
So i have the alumaze case but i want the gold accent piece to match the rest of my set with silver accents. Would it be a bad idea to spray paint the accent piece silver?
The stab pads under your stabilizers are probably drenched with lube making it sticky on bottom out. Your solution would be taking out the stabilizers and removing the pads by hand and cleaning the area. Then reassemble the stab without the stab pad.
Not a bad idea, some people painted and some people use vinyl wrap
i dont see why not
That happens because of sticky stabilizer pads, you need to remove them.

I recently bought some cheap ones, but I Think it was bad idea
What did you buy?
Is sound gonna be still good without them
Bottom out should be a bit more solid and louder compared to having it with stab pads.
The point of stab pads is to dampen the bottom out of the stabilizers but most boards dont even use it unless people really want to
I bought some teflon ones
biggest problem with them is the stickign issue
yh np
I didnt know its that hard âhobbyâ đ¤Ł
lmao we learn along the way
@sacred elm yall said yall removed the stab pads in newer batches of the 80he right?
Yes, they're not using stab pads anymore
I just wanted to ask if stock ones could be a problem too
thank the lord
After the first batch I think they stopped using
stab pads in general tbh
oh damn it's been a while then
Yeah
Maybe it will end my journey to perfection đ¤Ł
My YIKB stabs came with stab pad stickers and i tried them, like they worked fine just as they should but in the end i didn't like them so i took them out
nothing is perfect
but those imperfections is what makes it beautiful đš
Also, are screw in stabs worse than clip ins?
Cause I Think i made a mistake buying screw on TX ap
no such thing as "worst" but keep in mind they work pretty similarly, one clips into the pcb and one uses screws. Screws are obv gonna be more secure but clip ins are more easier to install
I have TX AP LP clip ins and im not gonna lie, im not a fan of them
Im trying to get them right for a long time
it hasn't worked out for me
doesn't have to do with like screw in vs clip in but rather than the mold of the stab itself which was my issue
Knights v1 through v4 and YIKB stabs are great
I wanted to buy anothet ones , but price is not that low
ah
So im trying to get them right
I couldnt make them right too
give them proper lube and care and they will be just as perfectg
only difference with more expensive or newer stabs is that newer stabs are a lot mroe easier to tune and require less lube
but either ways, once any of these types of stabs are lubed, they will all perform the same
it's just the process of tuning is different with the level of effort per say
Here is how I mod my stabilizers. I get asked this a lot of my streams and honestly, I figured why not just record this so I can link this video instead of having to re-explain it every time. I hope you enjoy it. Please remember this video is only covering lubing and installing, some stabs like cherry clip-ins, you'll need to clip the bottom leg...
Krytox 205g0 on stem and housing walls, krytox on wire for tighter stabs or you can use grease for older stabs
Will enough lube make them right even with not perfectly balanced wires?
Honestly idk what people mostly do with wooting stock screw in stabs but if i were to tune them myself
I would just do light coat of krytox 205g0 on stem wall and housing walls, and really thing coat of grease on the wires. Apply more grease if needed)
Honestly it's pretty difficult to get stabs to be perfectly straight, so it's best to just try to get it to be straight as much as possible then go with it. But would always recommend checking on stab wires.
I even bought aluminium plate to balance them, cause i heard its better to tune, and still couldnt balance them
like a bar plate or wtv just to wire balance stab wires?
use the back of your phone đĽ balancing method
real
real
Magsafe đ
i go big and use my phone screen
didnt bother me for my wires
i balanced them on a 15 pro max
Like cnc plate or something
I was fine even with my 12 mini
even the mini is a big boi
i was gonna use my ipad but the wire kept moving around the screen on its own lmfao
Thanks for everything, im gonna work on it tomorrow
Gl
i havent done any tuning to stabs in a while
waitign for v2 so i can tune my clear knight v2 stabs with GOLD WIRES

oh shyt i dont need to tune a long ass spacebar
noice

that was me when I switched to 80he lol
though 7u spacebar on my mx board was perfect from the start, got lucky hehe
lmao
i had to figure out the lube measurement for YIKB
i was so confused for abit'
cus that shit keeps leaking
now i dont even care anymore
my lube measurement for knights:
dunk the end of the wire into the container of lube and its costed perfectly all around
my left shift is so meh on my neo65
i dont even wanna bother tuning it
i think i even ran out of lube anyways
left shift is used more than right
think about it

yeah
is it the one with plate mount cut outs?
yeah makes sense
i use to have that plate thanks to frijoles
when i had my 60he
yeah that plate is exactly wooting spec, which desnt work well with other stabs
damn where did frijoles go, havent seen him in a looong time
he prob gone :<
RIP
he left a comment on my frog pom build 8 months ago
he's prob just not active
i remember getting tx ap stabs for my wooting and it didnt fit đ
those literally sucked shit đ
i had the worst time with them icl
esp with GPBT keycaps
but then
GMK saved my ass later on
i got no use for my tx ap lp clip ins anymore đ
TX AP were my first 3rd party stab that is screw in, and they were very nice for me
though I used them with GMK from the start
yessssssssssirrrrrrr
i shouldve gotten like non long pole
what was i thinking
smh
i regret purchasing them
I remember using long pole TX AP stems in wooting stock stabs, it was so tight lol
in theory what stops you from using a plate with plate mounted stab compatibility with screw in-stabs

Just how loud are fluxes?
This real?
Torontokeyboardman is legit, yeah
Not very loud and not quiet either
Balanced sound
ok cool so looks like the listing is for packs of 10?
I guess, not sure
quiet
me too
tikkens please move , please move

are the ttc king of hall effects and wooting x ttc kom pom switches the same thing roughly?
TTC POM and Wooting POM are basically the same. The only difference is the spring weight: Wooting POM - 40g initial 55g bottom out / TTC POM - 35g initial 45g bottom out
is it possible to do a no foam build on wooting? bought the poron foam mod kit but i realised i have no gaskets
does anyone know where to find non magnetic 20-22mm 80-100g switch springs cuz i've had no luck
TX sells 20mm 70g HE compatible springs
sorry to bother you one last time but you seem to know your stuff, is it recomended to use shorter spring lengths like the ones that wooting sell in switches that come with longer springs
cuz atp i might just do that
any chance to go foamless on the wooting 80he?
have the original wooting 80 silicone as well as this modding kit from toronto keyboard man but im pre sure both require foam for the gaskets
Depends on a switch, it's not recommended to use Lekker springs in TTC switches, because the diameter is bigger
ah
No case foam? Yes, you can do that
ofc you can go foamless
but u need plate foam right
cuz thatss where the gasekts are
or do i just drop the pcb in the middle , would that be fine
Poron gasket or silicone gasket, yes
what are the sound differences between the two if u dont mind me asking?, like howd you find the sound changed?
I haven't tried poron gasket
It's probably louder, not sure
and it aint recommended to use the 80 with no gaskets right? like just dropping the pcb in the middle of the case
You can't do that
ill short smth?
You need gasket to mount the module
im using the gt80 case so i can kind of just drop the pcb in the case and close the lid
im just worried if it might cause some dmg
if you're using poron plate foam i would recommend keeping the case foam to provide some support since poron plate foam is too soft and does not have bumps like silicon to precisely fit stock case and gt80
chance for damage, itll rattle around in there and not stay in place, chance to short etc
lots of things that could go wrong if you dont use gasket
if you dont like the sound you can remove the middle part of it by cutting it
If this is for 10 switches, how is it the same price on TorontoKeyboardMan as it was on AliExpress
What the fuck
Titons yesterday
Why is it that Geon raw or the gat jade isn't in this recommended post on the FAQ even though both of those are sold by wooting on the site?
#đŞâmodding_faq message
bc they're out of date
What's out of date about them?
newer ones just have less wobble
Since those were added to the store, HE switches have become more common and there are as good as/better switches readily available, not on Wooting's site.

lekker tikkens
basically even if u like these 2
That doesn't seem to paint the full picture though because the geon raw seems to have less wobble than the owlabs TI HE
(based off the pinned comments)
owlabs and jade pros are like the next generation of them
owlabs have less wobble
Useful, thank you
If you find RAWs on here youâll see they have B+/B+ for both wobbles
gotcha
But long story short theyâre not on the list bc thereâs been 15+ new switches to release and have taken their places
I'll dig through these and cross refrence, thanks
geon sounded nice though ;-;
The new jades for sound are deep clack flux if youâre interested in that sound profile
still a fine pick up
If you like the sound of the RAW then get them, they're not bad by any means lol
in fact im on raws rn
sound depends on your preference. if u like it, just buy it.
Thanks for the reaffirmation
For refrence, this would be my first custom kb after looking at it all for a number of years,
Lots of reading ahead
i'm also on raw right now.
Poron gasket is a lot softer (and will introduce some added flex), but if youâre running a deeper switch it helps mute higher frequencies while bringing out the lower to mid frequencies
gateron x nuphy recolor(?): jade dragons

any new UFO listings?

what, the price?
I can say they are pretty decent yes
For a first board sure, my point being made was they arenât on the list bc thereâs better options now (owlabs taking their place)
yeah, they are kinda the successors
I'll probably buy myself some raptor HE v2s because i really wanna test out that stem wobble
albeit the spring crhnch i heard about sounded like it would be awful, i hope that was an isolated batch 1 case
Itâs a 50/50 gamble
Me, Shafie, aligner, joshiba, toasty and maybe 1-2 other cases developed it, but others either havenât noticed or havenât gotten it
Worth it tho if you donât get it
Raws are good cuz you can use them for himeras like rawhuks
Itâs not an everyday thing, but it occurs every 1-3 days on your most used keys (WASD)
Shutout to frogson
Where youâll feel on bottom out it gets more wiggly and then you can feel the entire spring develop scoliosis
Do you know of any high-quality black ANSI 80% layout PBT Double-Shot Cherry profile shine-through keycap sets? I can't find any
Hmm
Iâm not sure honestly
Could probably find a few on Amazon but theyâll be the usual random keycaps found on Amazon quality
I must have done 300 searches, and the only ones I found were those from EPOMAKER, which do not sell separately, and some from YMDK, but they seem to be of mediocre quality
its very strange there isnt more, but unfortunately they look to be unicorns :/
Dyesub PBT I think should be good enough for your purposes even if it isnt double shot, but its either you compromise with that and get the wooting keycaps or basically you'd need to either be accepting of OEM vs Cherry or give up shine thru all together and probably get more options for doubleshot PBT cherry keycaps
Yes the problem is the cherry with the shine-through, this combination seems impossible to find
I think its a problem with shine through in particular having limited high quality options and then add on those other factors and its really difficult
The only option if I want quality is to get the EPOMAKER G84 80% keyboard, remove the keycaps, and resell it for less...
And put the YMDK keycaps on top for âŹ20

just get non shine through
Shine-through are cool

loud incorrect buzzer sound

Ok good
waiting for the tikken shipment prepared :D

@left depot (sorry for the ping but you gotta see this)
Wrong Raquel
@left depot
Yo guys what is the difference between screw in and friction fit? Is there less chatter what is the main difference between the two?
cute nails
How many Raquels are there?
yo how do i make my wooting sound marbly
As in like a marbly clack sound profile
ye
Iâd recommend deep clack flux if you want best stability, if not you could go for UR ice/Phylina too which will have a deep profile as well
Depending on your board (80HE/60HE) youâll have some different options
Thankyou
Different plate
I kinda like 1 layer tape mod, use a stiffer plate (aluminum or CF plate) and use poron pad
thks
Iâm using DCF on CF plate with poron gasket on 80HE and itâs been the most marbly Iâve been able to get mine
As a marbly clack enthusiast itâs been great
for the switches in that list
is there any switch with superior factory lube implementation
Pretty much all the switches on that list are lubed well enough it wouldn't be worth opening up and lubing them yourself
Switches have very good factory lube nowadays
thankyou for the info i come from an older time
im waiting for my gt60 case with the carbon fiber plate and im currently on fluxes
i can send a sound test when i get it
Also i assume Wuque Flux has least topout wobble? any notable switch from that list with minimal topout wobble?
currently using them on an FR4 plate in the tofu with friction fit
The best top wobble is currently raptor v2 since it has both S tier wobble, but has the chance to get spring crunch
Can
Sprint crunch be solved by self lube?
or have to replace spring?
No just a casualty of how tight the switch is to get both S tier wobbles, itâs an issue with bottom house design
oh i see
Basically what happens is every so often when you bottom out with raptors, the switch feels more wobbly than usual and you can feel the spring through the switch and it feels like it has scoliosis
Itâs not an every day thing but it can be annoying
Some people have gotten it, some people either havenât noticed or havenât gotten it so itâll vary depending on who you ask
Thatâs the best way I can describe it đ¤Ł
bet lmk would help so much
this is the flux deep clacky on fr4, friction fitted with 3 layers of tape in the tofu redux https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/984799440072220692/1428463136163495936/IMG_8234.mov?ex=68f734b7&is=68f5e337&hm=df585cca68852e77f596ad28e04b145d00b462f240a5e982fe043d714b1728e5&
Jade pros walked so deep clack flux could drive đĽś
oh and pbtfan crosshair keycaps
i should get to recording a sound test with abs
i just realized i havent yet
btw is the plate foam or silicone better
Iâve found silicone brings out the higher frequencies which makes it less marbly, poron emphasizes the lower to mid frequencies while getting rid of the highs
Silicone friction fit pad
Worth trying both if possible
will do thks alot
ignore right shift
@tropic urchin dis for you (discord taking its sweet ass time to upload)
Green one sounds deeper, but this sounds more satisfying ngl
everything is the same except keycaps
HMMM
green rgb are triple shot pbt and white keycaps are double shot abs
abs ftw
ABS does make DCF more marbly
Or atleast GMK does
PBT takes it down a small notch sound wise and changes the signature a little
@tropic urchin i have decided on running the sojus without rgb

only for caps lock or fn layer
Speed running conversion to benom same with Shafie
hmm, KKB abs. But besides Soju and WOB, there's nothing there I like color wise
what about kkb cherries
The white cherry alphas and red mod keys was so good
too much red for me, even with alt alpha
soju base is legit all blue lol
i have it
on tikkens pc plate ^
I meant to say the intensity of the color, if the red is slightly lighter, I might like it more.
kkb motosu has some nice alt colors
WHAT
WHY DIDNT I SEE THIS BEFORE https://unikeyboards.com/products/keykobo-r-w-b-abs-double-shot-keycap-set

it's aight, you can always spend another time.
Just like when GMK Selene drops after GTA 7
Don't lose hope.
Hasnât been cancelled so hope isnât lost
Just not going to release for 10 more years
Maybe it'll be here when GTA 6 is on PC
Honestly itâll be for the best
Yea thats me
Gives me time to use lazurite/salt lake more
so much abs sets look so nice but i really want pbt lmao
i have to stop consoomism
Right I think is more interesting to look at
novelties for that set
Its like looking at a rock.
Damn
was it a bad move not getting an 80he đ
i cant use like 1/2 the novelties i got
80 didnt exist yet so
can always get 60hev2
already have a 60
Never too late to convert
@calm pulsar was the latest Chad converter to GT80
im getting silver gt60 đš
Game recognizes game
its gasket mounted
goodbye friction fit pad
The typing angle is so goated
if there is a sexy abs set that fits perfectly do i just get it even if its abs lmao
I remember struggling with zinc and got fed up changing its angles just so the top lip didnât feel out of place
now i wonder how the hybrid silicone/poron pad will sound since i never cut the friction fit pad
One of the best keycaps you can get are ABS exclusive so Iâm not sure what you mean
Fair enough cause i really do want pbt but abs sets look better
itâs a myth that gets perpetuated a lot but aside from ABS getting smoother over time there isnât a better between the two, both have their use cases for differing sound etc
ah
do keycaps really make that much of a difference for sound
They can help alter it
i just sent the difference xd
Theyâre more feel with secondary sound differences
Woops

ok pbt is deeper but its not that big of a difference
only the backspace and spacebar should be compared between those 2 vids
cause shift and enter are made of a different plastic
should i get gt-80 or tikkens first
fluxes
Probably GT80
Tikkens are a more interesting press, but have little shakier top wobble than owlabs so Iâd probably just get GT80 to start since thatâs going to be the main foundational piece of the build
Yesh, its not like tikken is going out of stock any time soon.
I really wish the top wobble was cooked a little bit more
No I am the tikken
its better than v2s though right
i wish gt-80 had wood strip lol
Never tried them, but they should be
yea thats fine then
Think they had B+/B+ and tikken is A-/A
owlab top wobble is perfectly fine for me so tikken should be fine
Gt80 definitely
alr
can dhl hurry tf uppppp
I will be moding wooting 60he v2 (if i will get to buy it pre-order) and im asking what mods should i do to make it as deep as possible
will get tofu60 redux and probably pbtfans lyla keycaps
V2 will be already good as it is, you won't need to mod it.
yea ik but still
good old days đ´
mainly switches and maybe a plate swap
plastic will sound deeper than an aluminum case btw
Get PC plate from Wooting with the module, also try with and without a tape mod
more like it will be more dead sounding, but metal cases have a potential to have a deeper cleaner sound imo

If you plan to buy Tofu60, get brass weight too. It will make the sound cleaner and less hollow
life comes at ya fast
Also it's recommended to ground the case with a conductive sponge like Optimum case or screwing one of the screws in the case
oh fuck
i didnt even think about this
for the gt60
Not needed with the GT60 I think
how so?
Yeah I didnât get anything like that with my GT80
gt80 has a daughterboard
thats screwed into the case

Actually I don't know, but it should be fine
will wooting support send me one
No
If it was needed, KBD would include it with the case
What do you use 80he or 60he
Currently 80, but getting Optimum 60v2
wait a second... can i even fit the tofu foam into this case
as you can tell absolutely 0 research was done before buying this case
and i cannot find any other build videos for it
Just use polyfill
also swapped off the cosmos cause i needed a lil change up
i really want to use the sloth but i dont have a case for it đ
Sloth :o?
I regret not buying the Seal X Cosmos
thats pretty
X-rays got a rerelease?
a while ago yeah
I thought theyâd be out of stock by now

these are so sexy
would pair perfectly with the mocha
might get at some point
i need brown/cream
how many people bought dc fluxes today?
what switches do you have now?
boom idc buy some dc fluxes
theyâre nice
Yo so does anyone know if I buy the Wootng 60HE V2 module does it come with all the case dampening and other shit advertised in the prebuilt?
Like if I buy the module only does that also come with FR4 plate and friction fit pad?
Itâs clean af. But itâs MX so who cares đ
Yes
The 80HE is also friction fit stock right?
Nope, it's gasket mounted
Whats the difference between gasket mounted versus friction fit is one better or worse than the other for sound and feel?
Haven't actually tried the friction fit myself yet but I would say the difference is likely subjective but it will feel a lot nicer than your standard tray mounting
What do you mean by feel nicer does it sound nicer also?
aliexpress hella funny for this
crossed out original price for it to be higher
đ
"Pray I don't alter the deal any further."
anyone have an idea on aimbone80 vs wooting zinc alloy case?
i almost am leaning towards wooting zinc case just cause the wrist rest from wooting will match well.
Anyone receive their tikkens yet?
Mine took the slow route I think
I don't think they have left the warehouse yet
Unless dhl did that thing where they don't scan your package
prob not
..........aluminium foil?
sound deadening mat cut to fit
đ damn
is a wrist rest worth? not sure if I want or need one
80HE case feels tall enough for me to be willing to consider it
@sacred elm Flux have shipped

Customers who have the LOYALTY_SWITCHES discount code in their Wooting Hub can now apply that code to Lekker Tikken switches for 20% off.
If you already purchased but didn't use the code, contact support and they'll do a partial refund for the price difference (once the support team is back from the company gathering)
