Great case, no complaints at all. The GT-80 is more versatile since it’s more predictable and allows for any kind of build (with foams, without dampening, etc.). If I had the chance to choose again between the Holy80 and the GT-80, I’d go with the Holy80

I like the Holy more because you can really add some style by getting a custom tape mod then it’s just pure flex

hi im buying the wooting 80he module w the zinc alloy case, raw switches and gmk blue samurai ABS keycaps

should i also look into buying a foam, lubing the switches and other shit? (im not sure if this is a big difference as its my first build)

switches come with a decent prelube

foam also comes preinstalled in the module and with the case

You might end up making some changes along the way as your taste/vision might change (new keycaps, switches, new switch plate etc) so I wouldn’t sweat it atm. Raw stock lube is good, default foam as well.

Maybe looking into different switch plate materials might be beneficial depending on what you want since PC plate will be rather soft, but I wouldn’t get too crazy until you figure out what you like/don’t like and want to change it a bit

some keys are super worn out, have immense gloss on them but i think the texture is fine underneath, dunno if its oil from fingers or what but i cant clean it

I think that’s just natural keycap shining. I usually dump mine into a bowl with some warm water and a little dawn dish soap and make sure it fully dries

It’s the same thing, but it gradually happens over time to the surface. Happens more for ABS which GMK is, but I wouldn’t sweat it. GMK keycaps are a great feel + crisp legends

Curious on peoples thoughts on silent switches for the Wooting.
How does it perform for gaming?

All I have done with my Wooting is lube the original Lekker L60 with a 50g spring change.

The keyboard will automatically adjust but still not recommended to use the most sensitive settings.

You just put the switches in your keyboard and it will auto-calibrate, you don't have to do anything.
