Honestly thereās zero issues with jade pro as your first aftermarket switch
Itās turned into do you want deep or bright clack or the muffled cries of the average silent switch
Itās still a very pleasant overall switch
Deep!
Wait for lekker tikken
Thanks š
I can see this will be a very dangerous hobby
I built a whole keyboard for one of our sponsored folks recently with full Jade pros
They still sound great
The current deep meta is going to be Phylina Thunder (box stem UR ice)/UR ice, raptor v2, tikkens and maybe another switch thatāll come out in a few months
How much wooting sponsored cc there are
There will be a lot of sound tests and wobble tests to go thru, but you should have options Tarik
Actually full sponsored ones? Not many
we donāt sponsor much stuff, just recently weāve sponsored a few podcasts
You said one of our sponsored folks
I only know about tenz and that counterstrike podcast
Yeah podcasts have multiple hosts etc
Just one podcast alone is like 10 people if itās a network of them
Last free nation is an entire library of podcasts in various games
What about non podcasts
No idea. Iām not the partnership person but itās not many outside of giving pros boards and such
wooting does very few actual sponsorships
Well wooting been in netherlands, germany japan, taiwan and china with their booth
When next country
Like Poland
does Poland have a big gaming convention?
I mean big as in biggest in Europe type deal
Oh no
Turns out it was an Alien face hugger skeleton keycap š¤£

But definetly it is one of biggest in area
@glacial wind it is not size of gsmescom tho. Propably like 60k people
There is also 2nd one in same place around fantasy and anime and games. Those are simmiliar in size
that's weird considering Poland invented video games, internet and computers
should be the biggest game fest
i wish that 80he had this little strap on led like 60he does fr i would want to custom it to make it have it if it's possible
Well technicly we made great computers during soviet times but ussr blocked us from exporting them

You can have the strap holder add on with the GT80 case
i mean yeah thanks for that info but i love how ghost case looks
@calm pulsar because we could get too independent
Omg if I also follow a keyboard meta Iāll definitely risk divorce
But trying different switches after a year wouldnāt be that outlandish I guess
Next battle will be upgrade to gp80 or holy 80 the ghost plastic case
I love the looks of the holy but I guess the sound would be very affected
There arenāt any mandatory mods you have to do, but the only ones that will give your keyboard new life are basically keycaps, new switches or a new plate
Yeh I finally found some Spanish ISO pbt keycaps
Need to decide between the two now
The ones I listed are just the good deep sounding switches and all arenāt too expensive
Keyreative kap or glorious gaming
Only two in stock options I found for Spanish ISO
Then stage one of my master plan to invest all my wealth in keyboards will be complete
https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/s/gvcEns76Qg you could try here too
Thanks I checked that one too but most were clones š
Tuff
Yeh Iām happy enough Iāll just wait until I find my perfect keycaps
Pudding would be so cool
Backlit double shot if not
The MMD C1s are the deepest of the bunch, youād like those as well probably and theyāre pretty cheap.
oh these are full PC
you think they're better than jade airs?
not perfect but still 100 times better than Jade Airs (no hate).
(Maximum hate)
did you get the maximum crunch raptor V2s mango?
I have no raptors in my possession atm, ive been living the crunch life outside of keyboards
that sounds like a terrible and unhealthy way to live

how do you manage life without keyboards?
MangoHE should come with Raptors preinstalled
Maximum level of crunch š
Benched them
I would be willing to collaborateā¦
I might lube my fluxies if I have enough on hand
Since I donāt play OSU I think I should be fine
Bro probably worked off all the factory lube in 30 mins
I'm lubing them rn
I have lube for few switches though
Get some super lube for springs if you can
Definitely hard not to default to flux FR4, despite their issues they still work almost flawlessly on 80HE
Those rat bastards tho not getting other spring weights is just criminal support for their paying customers š„
They assault your wallet and then say āfuck you, we got yoursā
Can we get a turbo stability switch that has good long spring with multiple options for weight
Like what
Itās time to become a sparker
Spark joy in your keyboard
Itās a pity theyāre so pricy
If they were say $70 it would be way easier to pass a a slightly pricy but not crazy expensive switch
Sorry Sno Iāve been led astray by G*teron before.
Non-split ābudgetā version soonTM
I wouldāve tried orchids if they were half decent but if both prince aligner and eccentric Shafie donāt like it then itās wraps
orchids are just another generic box stem honestly
Sparks so far everyone who tried them from gamecom has liked them too
Gateron just needs to put the switch in the grinder and give up
But again none of us had to pay to try them so that definitely makes it easier to try lol
I wish I had this Google sheets signup power š„
Seems to be the meta
Pretend you have an X following and sign up for free shit
I almost added deep clack flux to my aliexpress order recently since I have to add them eventually to sound tests
But I really dislike it when I get to the screen that says $70 for 35 switches
If they actually changed the flux for that I mightāve tried it but idk if I can stomach another purchase
Wuque is smoking some good shit
I did finally get around to ordering some taishan gt though
Because I want them to see if they compete for top 3 in the rgb category
its stem is not translucent enough to work as a good diffuser
and itās blocking half the LED lmao
I guess that will make it an easy contest then between that and the ttc purple rgb ones
MMD C1s, UR Studio Ice Ultras, Phylina White Lightnings, TTC KoM RGB, what else
Unionwells
Ah, Durock Rock HEs
Yeah I already got all those
Outemu Crystal
and Wukongs too.
unionwells I think hard to compete since people buy it for stability and poor sound so you have to be a crazy specific person to like those for rgb
Need to be rgb person, who wants max bottom stability but also doesnāt care about sound or price
C1s are pretty insane
everything except feel
feel would be good if not for the stickiness, itās smooth otherwise.
They are very cheap, at least on the discount
Think it was like $20 for 110
I just got the 110 pack then I can use 90 to build someoneās keyboard and still have 20 for sound testing
even without the crazy discount, theyāre $25/90 or so for me rn
do you guys change your stabs on the 80HE? or just lube the stock ones?
Stock stabs are fine, just take your time to lube and tune them if needed, I personally just put Knights Stabs in almost all my boards tho
I have one board with Typeplus xYIKB stabs
Which probably has some of the best stabilizer packaging I've experienced, which is kinda needed since they have special wires, and can't replace them with just any wire if they get bent
Of the $15, half goes to packaging š
Definitely
Hey wooting team and everyone, new guy here. Not sure if this fits here or #š¤©āwooting60hev2 but I've got 2 questions about HE switches that may or may not contradict each other?
-
For everyone that attended Computex/Gamescom and visited the Wooting booth to try the 60HEv2: How do they like the new lekkers?
-
For the Wooting team: Are there any plans to start selling some of the more popular HE switches in your store alongside the 60Hev2 launch and possibly being discounted when purchasing them with any of the modules?
Fotnit
Iād post it in #š¤©āwooting60hev2 instead, but you can wait to see if you get an answer here.
i think the lekker tikkens are good, they have decent wobble and full travel which is nice
their sound profile is a bit too deep for my personal liking but if you like that it's perfect
i'm personally going to buy them and swap the bottoms for others that have a brighter sound profile
i haz this as of 10 minutes ago, instantly hate how loud the spacebar is compared to the rest of the keys. was told i can add foam. where and how? do i put it like IN the spacebar? or do i just pop the spacebar off and lay it right there? or do i need to take the keeb apart?
Inside the space bar keycaps
Can maybe help u
Try with tape or foam
ya if it's just because its a large hollow space, that should work i thinks
Try this tbh i never have this issue so maybe i talk sht
buy lube and lube the spacebar stabs
Tht shit better have gold leaf in it or some shit
gold leaf is actually super cheap š
not even that would be worth it
Thatās the price of drip
is the wooting default tape mod reattachable? i got a modding kit that had this plastic sheet that was like tape mod and stuck it to the original tape mod but i have screw in stabs and i need to take em out..
got to relube, still some ping n rattle
Yes, you can reapply it later
what switch sounds the most like the lego brick sound effect thats compatible with the Wooting 60HE?
js plain ol glue?
Don't use glue. PET film will be still sticky
new latency test of the hm61z, sayo k64 and m6pro+
Guys uhh? Been sitting with a stock 60HE+ with wasd gateron jade for a while. I mainly play FPS games, are there any switches that feels good or are there any mods I should do to the keyboard? I wanna try modding it for once but I donāt know what to buy or where to start.
Try different switches, Owlab Ti for example.
Been looking at the Kom Poms, been hearing they are great for FPS games
Switches have same performance. TTC KOM sound is not for everyone. If you care about the sound, get something else.
I mean for me sound is second to feel. I play CS and Iām mostly worried about the feeling of the switches. My current ones are ok and are good enough but Iād want something a bit sturdier.
If you want a switch with very small stem wobble, Gateron Spark is good, but they're expensive.
Heard good things about the raptor by geon tbh.
How expensive?
Right now they're $95 for 70pc
They're fine. Some Raptors might have spring crunch, you can feel it while bottoming out.
Owlab Ti is safer option imo
Affordable, good sound and wobble.
Performance wise are they are better than the jades? (Stability, spring feeling,etc..)?
Yes, Owlab Ti's are more stable than Jades and they feel better.
ohhhh just rip off only the PET film instead of the tape mod too? cuz rn its pcb then tape mod then film
You need to handlube them to make them good
Today is a Day!
Where that ow60 stock Iām drooling
Can someone translate what that orange and blue graph means?
Maybe Iām finally stopping the edging of my build, and Iāll finish it
If I remember correctly blue one is latency on key press and orange one is latency on key release
š = latency š¦ = latency on key release
Thank you!
I stole that front lander but made it prettier
Thatās correct.
Fuck
Thanks dad
Next week is launch
Yep. Will be an email going out to everyone on the owlab mailing list from before and also will be announced on discord and socials
Tuesday is the day
Think I should try to sign up or just wait till announcement
I want to buy it the second it pops up
can do both
Blue = actuation latency Orange = release latency
ttc getting into pcbs now
How you are getting those pics
Chinese social media maybe
are those holes in the pcb?
Ttc following gateron plans. Hopefully it's good
its mediocre at best
0.08ms of delay is too much for me
VERY quick question, for wooting 80he do i screw in right shift or enter stabs first? cuz they very tight
using the typeplus x yikb if that matters
Are owlab ti not good?
Theyāre fine and still relatively new
Their top wobble is pretty good, but their bottom wobble is lil wobbly if you press down hard
Thereās no such thing as best really. Itās just what folks prefer sound and feel wise
some focus on stability, some specific sound, some like particular stem types etc etc
That list image is in no particular order, all the options are just very different but recommended ones to try
So uhh owlab Ti go?
Which version should I go for if Iām currently using the original jades? 40 or 50g
Jades are 50g, if you want lighter than that get 40g Owlabs
I hope this can improve the uncertain feeling whenever I counter-strafe
Owlabs have swappable springs, so for example if you donāt like 50g spring option you can buy 42.5g geon pingless which is 100% compatible. Or if you buy 40g, you can get 52.5g geon pingless as well.
Iād go 50g if you want a safe pick that you can experiment with lighter springs later if you want
I donāt really want to open and swap springs since Iām a bit lazy and will probably ruin everything.
Thank you!
So just get 50g
What do you think I should get for case replacement?
As in switches?
Keyboard case
Mine is a 60!
GET THE ACRYLIC TOFU 60 CASE IT LOOKS SOOOO GOOD
You can get Optimum case if you like it, or wait for new 60HE v2 case, which will be sold separately. It will have more color options.
There's also Tofu60 Redux
I donāt really like the optimum case
The popular picks so far are tofu/salvation/optimum and the OW60 (very expensive)
And gt60 from kdbfan
TRUST THE TOFU 60 or the holy 60
Ooo yeah GT60 as well
Iām poor, I live in third world country so probably anything less than 60 dollars
tofu 60 redux is 60 bucks usd
Heard good things about it, are there any options that has a place for the strap?
frog leggera t but no strap
There are cheap aluminum cases on AliExpress with a strap holder, you can check those out.
32 dollars for 61 owlab ti 50g switch w/l?
Oh also might I ask if the factory lube is any good?
I didnāt notice any issues so I think itās probably good
Wait do I need 61 or 70 switch
70 will give you extras in case any switch gets fucked up, I believe the rule of thumb for 60he is 70 and 80HE is 90
Ok ok got it
Better to have more and not need it than get exactsies and need more
Tbh I thought it was really nice of Wooting to give us 3 spare lekkers. Back then I didnāt think that the most valuable thing in the 60HE is the board
Was a newbie back then
Afraid to have to order a whole new keyboard or change something when a key dies
35 dollars for 70 owlab tis good?
Yeah itās nice to have a mod friendly board and not have to replace the entire thing if itās soldered on and you have no means to remove any defective part
Thatās why I chose Wooting over the other Chinese knockoffs that are like 70% cheaper
I think itās fine
$40-45 per 90 per Snoās chart so 35 for 70 tracks MSRP
They didnāt sell Wootings back in my country back then, nearly bought the other one by Polar something something
Bit the bullet to have it shipped from Netherlands but never really looked back.
Niceee
Woah, why is the Owlab ti like way cheaper than the other ones sold on Wootingās website
Lekkers are kind of similar range, Wooting doesnāt control the price of Jades (outdated and expensive), same with their TTC x Wooting POM collab ($1 per switch, but has good stability)
Geon raw was the old budget friendly, high performance king that got replaced by owlab/raptor v2 atm
As a rule of thumb you can safely fade any Gateron release as you can expect kind of mid performance for higher than necessary pricing
Oh, I thought the jades were good. Only bought 4 of them for the WASD keys though. Now I wanted to actually mod and not just change out stuff
Back when it was just Lekkers, Raptor V1s and Jades they were decent, but now thereās so many options now for HE
And or it's just a recolor
True
i really recommend getting the foam/plate kit for the wootings, it does change the sound of the board A LOT imo
What do you guys think about the l45 V2s.
They are lekkers, its alright
I really do not have the budget if Iām buying the case along with switches
I think owlabs will have better tolerances and less wobble, but lekkers are fine if you like their sound profile
I do enjoy 45g springs over 40 and 50g
not now, like later on down the line if you want to change smth, see if you like where the sound is at right now but if you dont then yeah, thats an option
Sound is probably second to me tbh. I want a performance first and good sound/aesthetic is a good bonus.
Definitely owlabs
Ti he clears
Canāt go wrong for your first switch
Damn but those switches look amazing if I go for different Keycap
Oh wait fuck I havenāt thought about keycaps and their price as well
you can get a nice cheap but okay set off of ali express, i think its called aifei or ghost smth
Idk its got quite a few bruises š
Iād stick with Wooting default keycaps if youāre on a budget and it fits what you want aesthetically
Once bought a keycap kit, i didnāt even touch it again since it was too slippery and feels a bit worse than the default keycaps
Donāt get too crazy with it and get what you want later if you have more disposable income to make a fun build
You can probably use the keycaps from your previous keyboard
Iām gonna take a shower, will come back with more questions.
depends, i have two different sets of pbt keycaps but the finish does feel very different on them
My previous one was a cheap like 30 dollar keyboard so uhh
If it works it works
Yeah the current Wooting keycaps arenāt that bad
My abs caps from pbtfans feel wayyy better than my wooting caps, and even more so than the shitty pbt ones I had beforehand
Starting to smooth out now
But the sound profile on abs still clears imo
Tbh i play competitive games so what probably matters most is feels
whats the sound profile like? i thought it was higher pitched?
But a good sound is never bad
Its higher pitched but sounds cleaner to me
ahhhh i might look into some nice abs keycap then, using a KAM set right now but i love the finish but i think ik what you mean by cleaner, it does sound a bit muddy (but these are thick asf so maybe that why too)
Abs was just the cherry on top to make it sound more lively
Got even better when I went to the tee hees
Iām getting some dye sub PBTfans keycaps in a couple weeks so will be interesting to try proper PBT caps
The most "proper" pbt i tried was wootings
Which is better than cheap pbt but dont think itd compare to the pricier stuff
Iāve heard from some that dyesub is the one you want over double shot, but if Pbtfans canāt make PBT keycaps good then the name should be retired
if you can try KAM sets or KAT sets, ive tried a lot of PBT keycaps, but these have been so far the best (supply and price is a bit fked tho )
Tbh im never buying keycaps again
I do like the feel of GMK over my abs ronin set, but salt lake is too good to pass up color wise
Xray my beloved
time to change name to POMfans
KBDfans donāt miss tho, so I trust their work to be good
Take a look at pbs keycaps on Cannonkeys
I feel like Iām looking at the old person iPhone 500% magnified text option when looking at PBS
As long as itās not really thin 5 side dye sub itās usually all good as far as dye sub vs doubleshot honestly
The really thin poor quality 5 sided dye sub on some of those aliexpress keycaps scratches easily and looks pretty bad when worn
Wdym by that
yaint seen nothin
Not bad but not my particular taste
bleh
I like thing that look weird, and Iāve worse to show
wtf is that
Show us
Very nice keycaps for grandma. She can see the letters easily
Jamal put away the Jade maxes
God damn, got the Noah's ark with that fucking curvature
Drunkdeer keycapsš
I keep them in cas I need them (Iāll never need them)
Deadline studio doys fyi
Honestly I kinda fuck with those
those are nuphy
This also gives me like a weird keyboard trypophobia even tho it has no holes
Yeah, but they look like those disgusting stock Drunkdeer keycaps
I wanted to test F10 profile but the price as bad as fluxes
ah, I only remember their first boards having standard cherry looking legends I think
lmao look at these arrows
The typo is brilliant
I need to go back to sleep and wake up again bro
wtf
Hmm, now that I notice the sound, yeah the base wooting is really clickly clacky, the sound sounds "cheap" for some reasons.
You started your day on 3 brain cells and now you want to reboot
is a bottom out of 100grams insane? i'm thinking about changing the springs in my lekker 2 switches
No I started my day feeling good and now after seeing these abominations itās ruined
If youāre not using cerakeys Iād say so
wtf is this

do you know they have a sample pack i can buy?
I think those are thocky keycaps? Or maybe marbly.
I think the lekker spring pack is a good place to start, think it goes up to 80-90g
I think they are clickly clackly
Good point
Bricky
true
Typing on DS Doys was already shit, I canāt imagine how bad typing on theses is
Hey
Just got my hands on a wooting 80HE, first time having a keyboard like this and never modded one, any recommandation ? even tho I like default sound, maybe design would be good so if any good recommandation for keycaps or idk, i take š
TIL it's a 3-day weekend. What a triumphant moment for the human spirit.
keycaps are really a personal preference imo, when it comes to switches etc. it might depends on what you value more
^might check this graph
is there a way i can order a sample pack of different spring stiffness for my lekker v2 switches? the ones i see on the wooting website are $15 for a whole set, but i don't know if i really want that weight or not.
Try different plate material (FR4 for nice stiffness to sound ratio), switches (depending on your preference of stem wobble and sound) and keycaps
Well yeah keycaps are more personnal, but other's opinion is always welcomed :)
The switches honestly, I'm not sure I care that much, actual ones are pretty good, I like them
Will just changing the switches change the clicky clacky sound of the 60HE?
I think it sounds pretty cheap
#1070668460905988106 maybe you can check here for inspiration (:
keycap wise
Switches are probably the biggest sound change you can do
I'm more into trying new design than sound, so i exclude switches, i'm fine with the default ones !! If you have any keycap/plate recommandation link/pic or idk, I'd take a look :)
I personally really like the once that I have, but I also understand theyre not everyone's taste
Okayyy thanks<33
Hmm, should I do switch first then case or just do both at once?
If you can comfortably buy both at once I would
But you dont need to
Also stock foam good or bad your opinion
Its more than most gaming keyboards will ever have
But I swapped to tofu foam when I got my tofu
included?
Yeah
nice
I'd say try friction fit pad too, but I doubt it will be compatible with your case, if you're getting it from AliExpress. It would make the sound softer and more consistent.
Seconding friction fit pad if it's compatible w/ your case. That and switches will have a huge impact on feel/sound.
Im gonna swap to friction pad once I get 60v2
Hmm, what if I just keep the base case and change the keycaps and add the friction fit pad (though I doubt it's available where I live)
Gummy oring doing me good on my v1
Is it a huge upgrade over the 60HE+ ?
Unfortunately friction fit pad isn't compatible with the stock plastic case.
Ah gg
Sound its going to be
Typing feel probably to
Performance no
ah, bought the 60he 2 years too soon š„\
I got mine in 2023 as well lol
IMO unless you're going for split on the 60v2 I don't think it's worth an upgrade over 60HE+
Im only doing it because im on 60 non plus
Sound and feel wise, yes. Performance difference won't be noticeable.
My shitty keyboard broke back then, might as well upgrade to something I will use for a long time
But you can mod your 60HE+ and it will be just as good.
Biggest changes from my perspective are the friction fit being included and switches, both of which you could get for like, what, $65?
I want screw in stabs, even though it probably won't make a difference
Yeah, this is what I am looking to do. Really wanna personalize my keyboard.
Uhh any good case so I can keep the default keycaps? Also is the wobbling problem part keycaps?
Yes, and no
Switches
wobble stems from the switches
Get ti he š š
the clicky clacky of the stock 60he is because of the switches?
Already on its way!
W
I'm not gonna litigate what is/isn't clack, but the switches contribute a huge amount to the sound
Also I've never mod before, can anyone guide me once my stuff came lmao, really worried about damaging my board
I forgot how impatient I was with shipping
I waited for the wooting for like 3 months
Ordered my monitor yesterday and im already trying to check tbe tracking š š š
I'd say I'm pretty patient
Oled?
Just ask in here, folks will help
I waited 2.5 for the keyboard, my keycaps was a solid 5 month or more wait
5 MONTHS? KEYCAPS?
Need that shit now
Damn, I really want to upgrade to an Oled screen. Feels like my current IPS one is holding my PC's true capability
I found a really good deal on one
I've been waiting for my lovely Motif's for 6 months so far, still waiting
586 instead of like 750 (pre tax)
Oh dang, I wasn't familiar with the keycap game
I suggest you remain that way, it's a waste of time and money
Tbh I probably couldn't afford those so uhh might as well stick with what I have
Group buy/pre orders can take a while with keycaps...
oh...
I likely won't do it again
The group buy process is not for the faint of heart
But here I am always coming back
160$ and 5 months later pbtfans xray is the one
Probably save up and get the new 60HE v2 case. It's friction fit compatible and looks nice.
There will be three color options: White, black and bright silver.
My beloved
But my current keycaps are black
So I just get the switches first?
You can get black case.
If you like black, sure.
Not the greatest of photos
so save up for the new 60 v2 cases and right now just change out the switches?
Yes š Save up and get v2 case and friction fit pad. Will be better than AliExpress case.
Can I ask your opinion? Backlit vs non backlit keycaps for the 80HE and why one or the other?
whispers the name Selene on the cool breeze
Was probably going for the Tofu Redux but yeah, this option sounds better long term
Backlit doesnāt have a lot of good 3rd party options (outside of Wooting or I guess X-rays), but you get a lot more customization and fun sets if you go nonbacklit
Backlit consists of like pudding keycaps which arenāt very good and other similar ones
Oh pudding are considered bad? May I ask why?
Just cheaper build quality, all personal preference at the end of the day
Some ppl like pudding and thatās enough for them
But thatās the main reason
You just get more options
And then for specific ISO language keycaps your options are even more limited usually
I imagine pudding would play a little more evenly than other shine-through caps where you can get less optimal results with the LED and legends not lining up
(not a recommendation or antirecommendation)
Hi @noble turret were you trying to find spanish keycaps, is that correct?
Yes my friend
So far I found Glorious gaming and KAP wob
Only place I have seen customization for spanish keycaps is here:
https://yuzukeycaps.com/creations/firefly
but I have not purchased there, I got there because the creator released a set I like in Drop, but you can take a look
Firefly is a set I designed based off of, well, Firefly from HSR. She's one of my favorite characters to play as and I love the energy their play style provides. I wanted to capture the essence of the warm oranges and cool teals of her color palette and how well they compliment each other. I partnered up with Seo_bun for the novelty designs to t...
Oooo that set is nice
Did you guys see the new Omnitype design labs? You can build your board and see it exactly as it will look including keycaps.
@polar girder is your mouse cable still working?
my taobao cable just broke, swapped back to the original op1 cable.
i am kinda wondering is there a reason why the company make thickboi cable instead of thin one like those from the aftermarket? because my cable kinda broke randomly, wasnt doing big swipe or anything crazy
alright rich man
Probably just replace it and sell it tbh
what mouse you on now
i thought you were using that fancy german made one thats like 300 dolla
kinda expected that to last forever since its so fckin expensive
Well I bought the modkit and 3d printed shell
But yeah still like $225 or something
Pretty disappointing
i just bought this shell
unfortunately cables are out of stock from both the shell store site and the cable's own store site
going back to fat boi cable now
i just searched it, damn its still 20g while being wireless?
hows the battery life lookin on that thing
Ah the Rolex configuration tool for keyboards thatās cool
Ah damn
Nice thatās whatās up
Yeah I lowkey wish I still had my op1 and I would buy a shell for it
But itās gone
Yeah itās killer
Battery life fine. I switched to 2k polling and charge it whenever Iām not gaming tho
Thanks!!
So idk tbh
It's so nice. Now we need to get Wooting to do it too
need to wait to see if lethal gear or that other company restock. i haven't look up lethal gear stuff in a while, not sure if they fixed their issue yet
Yeah yuzu is goated for that
2k polling is gud enough for 500fps gaming iirc. "gud enough" in the sense that even a fast swipe should not cost a hit to be ignored.
PMM has a nice cord but I think itās usb-c
I bought the lethal cord for my viper but I canāt find it lol
Kind of need to tho
That's fucking rad
W info as always
yea it doesnt work for mine but i like the way they made it
it doesn't expose the wires inside
new case
Completes the WLmouse aesthetic very well, nice job
where u buy big floof cat plushie?
its from my gf
W sleeve
how do i ask your gf where she bought it
ye got it on gamescom from the wooting peeppol
and i tried the new key caps and i think i like it more
gt80 case?
yep
beastx šŖ
she got gifted a sushi cat with 4 of those kittens in its zipper belly pouch so idk
ty ty

Yeah, they're very tight, maybe even too tight, because you can feel spring rubbing against the bottom housing on some switches
well i dont mind im sold
They're good š
I've only noticed the spring crunch sensation on only two keys during normal gaming (not OSU) and its only on W/S keys for me. so if it does happen, you could swap it out for 1-2 other switches that feel similar to you
other than that they've been great (that issue isnt 100% consistent for me and only happens sometimes)
but I think they're worth trying considering they're cheap
or i just buy more than the exact number of switches
you can swap it out (i did a few times but it didnt change much), its either a spring issue or a design issue and im leaning more towards design
back to this issue of the design being too tight and the spring rubbing bc it doesnt have enough room to go anywhere comfortably
it has better bottom wobble when it doesnt have the weird spring thing than owlabs and sound better imo on wooting, but i will be crucified by a few ti he truthers in here for that take but im the perfect man to hold at the stake for that opinion
well im only into them because of tightness since i want my switches to be as tight as possible for movement etc
yeah they're definitely a good starting point for that imo
@mental salmon YOU ARE AMAZING
This yuzu keycaps is so cool!
Sorry if Iām being dumb, is there an option to make the letters shine through?
probably not
you can see the RGB just fine without the shine thru
you're not going to find what you need as shine through, its already a losing battle if you're ANSI, let alone spanish ISO
if it doesnt say its UV printed id say they're probably good
New set coming soon - https://thekeymachine.com/products/005
holy wingdings
UV printed?
No clue. No one has seen the set yet. Im assuming just the novs
Reminds me of this
Cam Newton wants to know your location mango
They have nice sets but hope someone in the chat can confirm the quality, so far I have only tried drop and one GMK
i like the astrolight more kinda? while the jade pro sound more 'clean/smooth' and are marblier.
though the gateron sparks are also pretty nice - they're less loud than jade pro and are kind of an upgrade THOUGH maybe its just time to relube my jade pros xd
if u like jades u shouldnt get sparks and instead wait
Hey guys so I am new to keyboards and I got my 80he and got the plastic case thinking it would be easier to carry around (I learned my lesson quickly). I plan on swapping my switches and my case all at once and wanted to ask about 80he case recommendations
not entirely sure if this goes in wooting80he or here
People really like KBDfans GT-80
I am people
Would also recommend a travel case if you want to take it with you to places
(Tho personally i think a 60% board is better for travel)
If you envision swapping things around every so often (switches, keycaps etc) the GT80 is quite honestly gods gift to humanity
I like swapping switches a lot so i might consider
Oh yeah definitely bc the case screws for zinc or plastic just SUCK
If you wanna get a 80HE for a travel id say check it in with ur luggage
And itās this easy to take it off
if its the case for like travelling and what not id say go for a travel case and keep plastic
ye but im ngl i tried my friend's 80he which is the same except zinc and i swear it sounded much better
zinc is heavy tho
gt80 isnt much different then ig?
k i cant lie that is nice
Plastic just doesnāt sound good imo
apologies idk about the weight and idk what the fuck im yapping about
i'll just keep it simple just run the GT80 case its p good
Zinc is heavy you are right, GT80 is slightly less heavy
Thats good to know because im using zinc myself and theres no difference to me š
esp when it comes to steel and zinc for weight wise unless u compare it
lightly
Zinc is cool and all but the case screws ruined it for me
That and white zinc v1 chips š
I thought they fixed it with the v2
I have the V1
o no wonder
RIP
The screws location are chill for me actually since its gasket mounted
Itās not the locations but it takes 10 years to take off and put on again
I dont have this issue wtf i just run a nanch screw bit in and im done
Then you have to press down on each location to make sure it fits, I canāt be bothered after 5-8 times of that
Vs popping it on and off
Wait how did u pop it on and took it off
It has a ball catch system
So you just pull up slightly on the side of the case and it pops off
ik that but im saying like how did u do it from the bottom up
or did u do the ENTIRE THING
to pop it off
the technique
Itās hard to do at first, but I kinda wiggle my fingers in by the brass weight they give you
o i c
Yeah okay thats something new for me esp when it comes to it cuz im running the wooting zinc
and so far i am not having any issues with it
If youāre someone like me that likes to swap plates every now and again the case screws on zinc got old very fast
Yeah thas valid
But another thing I love on the GT80 is the lightsaber LED bar option
Shit is just magical looking
Real shit
@sacred elm jumpscare
Why cant someone make a super premium 80he case with pc top and copper bottom
Then i can spend a fortune on that
PC is only good with Fluxies
I don't use it with other switches
Poop is only good with pee
Shitting on switches without trying them š„
Cant be good if it cost that much
Also werent you having issues with them anyway or was that someone else
Idk Iāve tried jade maxes, RAWs, Jade pros, POMs, Flux, Owlab and Raptors and flux mogs all of them (sans raptors, but the spring is annoying)
Theyāre a little soft for my taste, but sound is fine for a deeper clack
Dont want deeper clack
why cant i get the damascus 80HE case
š

Itās unfortunate the first S tier top and bottom wobble nonbox switch also has crunchy springs
Lets put all our power together and lobby the custom keyboard community to make 80he layout standard and come out with some more epic options we can get
Yeah
Ima be honest i went right back to my rawhuks with the fr4 plate
I might do the same with flux when I get to hand lube em to try with FR4
Will just use raptor flux rotation
I will definitely buy 180 tikken switches when they come out so i can make some duhuk bottom tikken stem frankenswitches
And have an extra set stock
If you donāt like raptors why are you getting tikken which is going to be a similar deep profile
I canāt read you know this
I remember Thockson saying that the Duhuk top changes the sound too slightly, with Rawhuks. So perhaps Tikken stem with Duhuk housing, rather than just Duhuk bottom?
š
Possible
Iād have to open all the other rawhuks
But doable
I think itll be
Tikken stem + spring
Duhuk housing
And then i have a bunch of either raws with duhuk stem and tikken with raw stem
Or tikken with duhuk stem and some raws
Tikken with duhuk stem sounds super cursed tbh
My brother had some MX tactile switches with his mx board that I got to try and they do feel interesting, but Iāll never get onboard with Raeds
They got some work to do
Jade Emeralds will be similar to mech tactiles. You can try those for $2.50 a piece when they release.
indeed
You had me at Jade
Nice try Mia

sparkies on sale already
@tawdry tree well Poland have like two kinda big conventions in region
Gateron saw Wuque prices and thought āwow weāre slackingā
$1.4 switch this time, about same as price as flux discounted
Itās a Gateron switch at the end of the day
Big pass
Already have my expensive 90 pc
Darkest RGB of all time Inc
oh wtf, already released
I missed that
still 'sold out' so it's not 'released' yet
does Sno already got it?
their own store and ali store later probably
donāt think so
@tawdry tree well those conventions are like 60k yearly
@glacial wind wen jade emerald test.
mmm, wooting should go poland
I didnt know pga renting space per m2 is that cheap
@tawdry tree and we love getting free stuff
So wooting booth would be swarmed
if many people come, why wouldnāt woot go
straps for all!!
seems pretty cool
And it could be even biggest booth for wooting

Because for small one like 25m2 is the same as 50m2 on pga
First they would have to get higher score requirement for switchy tax fraud game
In Poland only
To like 150 minimum
Or they will be out of everything first day
@tawdry tree also if you dont rent room in hotel like 3 months before, you are basicly fucked
Not joking
just bring a tent and youāre fine
š„°
Well unless you want stuff stolen
@tawdry tree not joking btw
All booths with free stuff on our conventions are swarmed
Wooting going there with like 50 uwus wouldnt be enough i think
isnāt pyrkon less esports and tech stuff
it looks like it from the pictures
if woot does go, should they all be dressed up as switchy?
š
Well there is little no diffrence between pyrkon and pga
@tawdry tree well for me
Cosplaying is too expensive
tf u mean, ts doesnāt look like mainly cosplay: https://gamearena.pl/en/
Three days of gaming show. Premiere exhibitions of games, e-sport tournaments, indie games zone, cosplay show, YouTube and Twitch celebrities and much more.
Also switchy suit would require Another person to put in
There are shit ton of cosplayers
Trust me
They do it for free entrence to pga
I think itās too late for woot to attend anyway
ticket sales end the 7th
next month
nvm, sales donāt end but theyāll get more expensive or something lol
Thats why I said for 2026
No, i never been there because i couldnt do to my disabilities
Calslock definetly was on pyrkon and pga
Pyrkon is weird place
They make cults there
donāt judge

thatās any polish citizen, so not that special
Google Korwin mikke pyrkon
There is photo where he is picking up guy
@tawdry tree technicly pyrkon is more for anime fans
Because there is 18+ booth
Gn
ofc there is
Forbidden
Whats the verdict on the hex 80 vs 80HE?
Eyejoker's test, it seems slower than 80he while having higher price (if original price, it's discounted to $209 rn).
I see i see tyty
personally, I think modifying the 80he is better.
80he since the 80 he can have up to 87 knobs
look at my custom uwu with miku keycaps and tikken switches
Not like that, it's more like wooting is most likely to add those feature to their keyboard and support it long term.
Need more uwu, but it's quite uwu
lol thatās some real uWu shit right there. Nice
well knobs might drop this year already i forgot what exactly they told me
isn't it q1 2026?
maybe my brain is a colander
#š§ākeyboard_modding message quite a bit slower than the 80he, only a few are faster atm
I think they officially release like 1st of next month? From the wooting folk who tested it at gamescom its not great for he though
Tactile makes the press skip/jump a bit
If you remember pls let us know
Unless still next year
maybe just ask the wooting peepol instead of me
lmao
not too bad
Stemswap with Sparks will be interesting
Morning sensei!
Do you have experience with yuzu keycaps and/or know if theyāre good quality?
No experience with them yet but they do seem promising
wha
The sparks are nothing like the Jade pros. They feel noticeably shorter travel and sound is much more muted
Oh nm i thought you were asking about them
Try to stem swap pls (Spark stem in Emerald housing)
Might be good
might be shit
oh the green sparks?
i didnt look much into it yet
but i have like
5 of those
I thought the lighter green one was a Spark recolor at first but it doesnāt have a split stem, so most likely a ābudgetā option.
Emeralds donāt have a split stem either so I wonder if the Sparkās split stem could work in it
do you mean the tactiles?
The tactiles (Emeralds) and the lighter green ones, both donāt have split stems like the Sparks do.
ohh
didnt know the lighter ones didnt have it
tbh i should
lube them all
and compare them
i nearly have every magnetic gateron switch i think
compare them stock first š
did they ever sell those purple stem Sparks?
i liked the muted sound more - it makes my jade pro sound clacky in comparison. forgot to mention the much shorter stem
those are just limited edition recolours iirc
yeah, for zynoo or something
i still think jade max are the prettiest
but their price is meh
and i prefered the jade pros
oh this jade sakura he one is also pretty xd
Jade Emeralds are pretty similar haha
same
So who hereās buying the ow60 case Tuesday
they did not, was only on the dank1ng zynoo board
ATK has a collab board with a chinese aircraft carrier
any official reason come out as to why wooting decided to skip the three keys for the wooting80he?
Idk
More aesthetic look
bro robbed the gateron booth at gamescom
they lighter ones have split stems
gamescom loot
70/90pcs included in each pack Typing Style: Tactile Operation Force: 55±10gf Total Travel: 3.5±0.1mm Initial Magnetic Flux: 120±8GS (PCB1.2mm) Bottom-out Magnetic Flux: 700±30GS (PCB1.2mm) Spring: 22mm Spring Pre-Travel: Freely setting Pre-Lubed: Yes Lifetime: Over 150 million keystrokes
no at the end od gamescom gateron sold off all.the switches they had so they weren't exactly free
those aren't the ones i have
because they wanted to make something else
i just realised that u can turn emeralds into.linear switches easily just by taking out the leaf spring that rides the bumps on the stem so basically there is no reason to not buy them
the split stem is just a gimmick anyways
you can turn lekker V1s into tactiles by doing the reverse
š
i havent tried but the gateron tactiles have ridges on them specially designed for that idk if lekker v1s have them too
Wanted to have the benefits of the f row and the arrow keys while saving as much room on the right side, also probably had the knob in mind but it wasn't ready in time
Whaaaaaat
eh i wouldn't call it a gimmick. it is noticably quite stable
That knob
i tried the emerald stems in the brighter green ones its as stable
how do you meassure thst
now whether magnetic performance actually matters to you for example is a different matter, but i don't think it's fair to call it a gimmick if it actually does show measurable results
the flux stability at the bottom out
well tge only thing i can tell is that i got quiet weak magnets in my batch of bright green ones wich results in quiet some keys not beeing registered as fully pressed in my wooting
it can be fixed by spamming the key but sadly after restarting my pc wooting resets the calibration and the same thing happens
some keys need to be pressed like 40 times for wooting autocalibration realizing whats going on
that's odd. Do you have some examples? I would have thought gateron knew to use magnets within our sensor range these days
i can call u and screenshare my wootillity readouts in the actuation point page
just screenshot is fine
if it's not hitting the bottom it should show in the data line
what data line
probably need the part that shows the mm
i would assume if it's not hitting bottom out it's because the switches are so low travel that it's outside the range of the typical autocalibration
because these switches are noticably very short travel
thanks, i'll pass it on. I'd wager these are just so short travel that it's messing with the auto cal
yeah then this is going to be a problem with all their spark style switches, not just green but all of them due to the travel/magnet
also this happenes b4 i press
i pressed the key for the first time after replugging the keyboard
yeah that's normal
the only thing abnormal is it not being able to calibrate it quicker because it's operating so far outside of normal travel range
this is odd aswell
that's all fairly normal in that your keys are not able to calibrate properly because of the travel distance/magnet
alright i sent a message to simon so that he's at least aware of it happening and we can look into it more when it's work hours
i'm curious myself to see what the exact cause of it is, whether it's magnet or the travel or combination of both
going to swap back the recommendation to polar pro until we have the software at least better at calibrating these
ofc they do š
oh wtf, so the lighter ones are a Spark recolor but with a POM stem instead, very interesting.
you canāt put the tactile lead in Lekker V1s (but you can put it in any Spark), the Lekker V1s have a click leaf slot, so you can make those clicky with a different type of leaf.
nope split stem so no spark
does it happen with your sparks as well?
i have to go put it back in cause i swapped them to test out a new build
lighter ones meaning the lighter green ones (I have no clue what their actual name is).
i wouldn't be surprised if it does because the magnets are the same at least according to gaterons site
they are more like a jade version of the sparks
you can take the leaf out of the emeralds and put it in the lighter green ones I think
idk if i got ore production samples or finals production ones
theyāre the same as the Sparks though, no?
and i feel like its more so a problem with magnet tollerances since alot of keys dont pose any troubles
build wise yes material wise no
i don't think it's a fault or anything, I think it's just that they're literally so short travel that the magnetic range is bordering on outside of our normal calibration range
yeah exactly
sound wise idk i dont have any spark
because they are able to calibrate after a really really long time, but it's not supposed to take that long
at least according to gaterons site these are indeed a lot lower bottom out magnetic force, but i have to test to be sure
Iād think the top out might sound a little different because of the POM stem.
i guess a advanced setting where the ranges of auto calibration aka magnet strength nd travel distance would be good for advanced users
thatās just if you press hard once. you werenāt able to so that when the Raw HEs had this issue numerous times.
nah i just checked, it's not to do with press hard or not
(they didnāt just work after a long time, you had to force them).
it's just literally way below expected magnetic range, not the old raw he taking time to calibrate issue which was fixed
thatās how you can trick the calibration if the magnetic flux is just a bit too weak at bottom out. It might be a lot too weak with the Sparks though.
yeah it's waay more than just a bit with the sparks
Switch selector šš
interesting it does auto calibrate eventually, but it needs a lot of time
I donāt think it works like that
i wonder if these are just outside the range of even the fix that simon did where he sped up the auto calibration
at least I havenāt seen it working like that
what do you mean?
i just got an x key to calibrate
it took a lot of time and presses
not pressing harder or anything like that
yeah, I think that magnetic flux at bottom out was close enough
to āmake the jumpā

no i mean it's not jumping
you're thinking of a different thing
the raw he issue with the jumping detection thing is what you're thinking about
these don't even ever trigger a jump, that's how far below they are
even if you push hard
iirc, the jump still happens but it doesnāt appear as it used to
Iāll try to check tonight with some weaker ones
yeah what i'm saying is whatever autocal fix simon did that smoothed it out doesn't work for these because they're so much lower
half of them don't calibrate and it's not after pressing a few times
i'm talking pressing like 100 times lol
yeah, as expected
actuate fully rather*
yeah, Iām fairly certain thatās the jump still happening, just dressed up differently
I think I saw it before
@glacial wind miggss after spamming to get piston for testing. He responeded where to get one

oh you're talking about the smoothing thing
