Clearly the 2nd one
man 80HE spacebar does not sound good
the shift and the spacebar are the new one
what dimensions of o-rings do you guys recommend for bunger mount ?
centerpiece pro
@peak breach theyâre all stock
just relubed
waow
That was irony
itâs what I always say in that I think between just cases and key positions sounding different I donât think people can tell the difference unless a stab is ticking
@gaunt plume https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=970882364638 kailh jellyfish
so you're saying I don't have to buy 3rd party stabs and tune them from the ground up to get good stabs? nonsense
Does anyone know any good clear or transparent keycaps? I have the Holy80 and I really want the LEDs to shine through.
those are HE stabs you can't use them on MX!
Blasphemy
Just like you can only use magnetic springs in HE switches, Wuque was secretly right all along!
someone have good link for keycaps for my wooting pls?
i dont see keycaps
Novelkeys
Cannonkeys
Geonworks
Swagkeys
@obsidian dagger do you buy artisan keycaps?
Sculpt: Rokubi no Saiken
Colorway: GekkĆki
Keycap type: MX stem & complete casting with many layers
Group buy form (or in bio link):

#Dslime #ArtisanKeycap #MechanicalKeyboard #CustomKeycap #KeycapDesign #Saiken #sixTails #TailedBeast #NarutoKeycap #Rokubi #KeyboardArt #MechKeys #KeycapAddict #CustomKeyboard...
not really, that ones a bit abstract
i saw some where someone polished fossils that was sth
this i mightve bought
gotta say I have warmed up to raptor v2s somewhat
I'm thinking about buying a 60HE+, but Iâd like to use it with a PT layout, or at least try, since itâs hard to find PT layout keycaps. Iâd like to hear your opinion, should I go with ISO or ANSI layout?
ANSI superior layout
Big shift > small shift
what types of keycaps are compatible?
iâm new to this xD
Any MX stem keycaps will work on Wooting, so pretty much 99% of the keycap sets.
where i can find coiled cable
Wooting sells coiled cables
Copper gang
Not enough colour options

@sacred elm
Jade Airs won donât watch it

spoilers
When will people realize the best Hall effect switches were the friends we made along the way
I was naughty and didnât watch
u have a budget?
wiredinstore.com makes really nice handcrafted ones
We've linked his affiliate link-filled vendor list hundreds of times in this discord, least he could have done was included Lekker switches
Iâm sure thockfather can have him update his video accordingly
He said he would in exchange for the BG service đ
nope
Or maybe that was in my weirdly specific dreams
wooting.io sells nice coiled cables
(and I'm not even giving affiliate links!)
they have a lot of predesigned ones for inspo
or u can just get a custom one
those are cool and all but do they support tachyon mode?
admittedly its hit and miss with some of their cables, its an issue that got noticed a few months back
but most should be fine
my works perfect, (fast charging cable)
gotta keep begging wooting for more colour options for their cables
Are skylines really that good?
I think geon raws sounds the best still which is sad
Because not as thocky as like my beloved oil kings
its all preference
My last one didnât work with 8k polling FWIW
he talked about updating cables to new standard but idk if that happened or not
Pretty sure it was sponsored by milktooth so only switches sold on their store were looked at
has anyone tried the Gateron Magnetic Jade Air HE switches ?
owlab still considered better im guessing?
Iâll say this, IHMO if you hear or see the phrase Gateron and HE without âsparkâ (at least for now), then itâs not worth paying attention to
What about jade dragon or elf king
jade pros and rubys got quite far in alexotos' tournament
still a decent switch, but ti he and rapters are cheaper anyways
How do we know what the best switch is if Raeds weren't in the comp
Cuz alex knows what awaits those who mention or start recommending Raeds
Is there anything I need to do after I install new aftermarket switches on my wooting? Calibration etc?
the board calibrates itself, so no big changes needed, unless you want to adjust the actuation point if your switch is a different travel distance compared to the stock one, for example
Auto calibration
Only 3 out of 5 of my cables from WiredIn aka Randall work with Tachyon mode/8K Polling, but he did make 8K polling specific cables after the issue was brought up, if getting a custom cable tho, Iâd make sure to ask him about the connectors and shielding and if itâll be 8K polling compatible
Best switch for tac fps? Going to order a 80he just need some advice
They all pretty much perform the same the differences are mainly going to be in feel/sound which is pretty subjective
But if you look at #đȘâmodding_faq recommendation list that's a good start
Might just wait for the tikkens to release and then grab the 80he
Oh really? Nice
I never got an update
Any update on El?
El?
Yeah the charger stand thing
Right
Yeah Iâm sad I donât use my nice cable any more
Itâs so sweet. But so useless now lol
Yeah my fave one from him I can't use on 8K boards
I can use it on MX or lower polling rate boards but not 8K
my beloved Nightcrawler
Yeah big sad

Wooting could swoop in
Got a neo65 myself, does your backspace feel weird?
It doesn't feel or sound as condensed as my other ones. The stabs are tuned and lubed, but for some reason that key specifically sounds "cheap" . That's the best way I could put it
But if they havenât done so yet itâs probably not easy or profitable
Gn
Hey guys I'm planning to 'upgrade' my existing 60he+ Module with Geon HE RAWs and was wondering what the best stabs are to go with them, I read a lot of people recommending screw in TX APs but I'm a little confused what specs I'd need since there's a long pole version and I'm using a UK ISO layout. Cheers!
You can still use Geon Raws with stock stabilizers without any issues. No need to swap them with third party stabilizers.
I did think that however I wondered if different stabs may be less rattly, I can't seem to tame the rattle very well on the stock stabs unless I overlube them
I use split backspace so I don't really know what it sounds like for myself
oh wth, i should be able to configure this right?
Might do this
If you have the trimode pcb
i doooo
Yo guys what do you think about tofu tkl
Decent
ayo to anyone whos got gummy o rings in their build
how tf are you gonna take it outta the case when you need to
Any recommendations on keyboard mats?
Keebmat
hey my friends... been a little off but which are the best HE switches right now ?
Im still on RAWs and TTC KoMs on my HEs ... anything new ?
was looking at a GT60 pcb while the 60HEv2 doesn't launch đ
has anyone tried all of them?
Tikkens aren't out yet, but I can name two people that have basically tried most to all of them yes
Aligner and sno jed
I'm not gonna ping them
when will the tikkens release ?
@tawdry tree @glacial wind which ones do you recommend?
Either with my hands or pry it out with a screwdriver in one of the holes in the plate
Noooo switch puller
No screw driver :(
i just did the jelly tape spacebar mod no more clanker soundđ„
Oh yeah that too
So used to pogo pins in my agar
Where u can just grab the whole thing out with one hand
just use a hammer
Depends on what you want
Raptor v2 are a good all rounder if stability of stem is a priority
Owlab I think sounds nicer though if you enjoy a louder cleaner sound tone
And the sparks are my favourite if you just want to prioritise stability over everything else right now
But theyâre also absurdly expensive
Hello, i wanted to ask if This Channel is Only for modding or if i could ask too how some keycaps would fit on the Keyboard
Keycaps for under modding, youâre good
Alright i wanted to ask if those Keycaps I Found which would fit better or if u guys have any recommendation
I have a black Setup btw
Up to you, both look fine honestly
Thanks for the response
i dont know what i want that's why i asked you đ€Ł
i like the left one
I go for the left one
Iâm going to assume the âpower switch buttonsâ that post service says is arriving today are not power switch buttons
i saw em on amazon as well if u buy them please lmk how they feel (ping me if possible)
Maybe theyâre the gateron care package
Alr i will do that
@glacial wind The MMD C1's are a really decent mid-range switch and my current value leader at under $20 for 70 switches (not sure if price has changed). I didn't notice any stem sticking issues that Aligner noticed so maybe a different batch.
Alright nice. Iâll put in an order for them
Gateron care package just arrived, so I have enough sparks now to actually do a full keyboard
I see they sent you some jade airs
did you have any experience with jade maxes before? I'm curious if these jade airs have the same sticking issue as maxes
I didnât touch Jade max after the initial issues
gateron "don't care" package
will you be testing airs? would be cool if you could check the friction by pressing them at an angle and see if they are smooth or not
Yeah I will
Damn pretty quick. Glad they took care of you!
Yeah Austin was great, cheers
i feel like jade pros and sparks sound very similar
what is the set on the right called?
JSJT Ink Lotus Keycaps
how are the orchids?
did anyone else jelly tape mod the enter key and shift keys?
quick question, if im switching out the plate on my wooting, do i have to pull out the switches and keycaps?
Yes
anyone has tested the effect of o-rings on the wootting accuracy ?
Itâs known to impact accuracy. Wooting auto calibration fixes that but it is technically still less accurate than not using orings
basically wooting software will detect when you use o rings and decrease the sensitivity so it doesnât mess up the inputs
don't really like them. They sound/feel like a lot of generic box stems
What do you have now and why would you like to change them out?
Theyâre pretty stable and sound clean as well, deeper than most Iâve come across (except for the now discontinued Ice Maxes, the two are pretty similar overall). Itâs possible they changed the top housing or stem to fix the sticking issue (would be fantastic if they did), but it might just be that lube isnât as much in that area on yours.
Either way, weâve recommended Raw HEs long after they the sticking issue was brought up so itâs not that big of a deal.
Most probably wouldnât even notice it.
Mine didnât have friction like the Jade Maxes had but at bottom out, they feel like theyâre catching on something. Besides that, not a very clean sound overall.
I need raw he v2s fr fr
I liked the sound of og raws
I also need a new gen switch with sharp sound like the duhuks had
Without the weird top
Tikkens with Duhuk bottoms
Let me try that
just switched from owlab ti to raptor v2, the sound is so much better to my ears
Nice
okay so gateron sparks really do need spacers for stock stabs. At least with my sets of keycaps
3.2mm is a bit too short so the wobble issue without it on regular sized stabs is more noticable
duhkkens are p good i'd say
tikkuks?
idk
Tihuks?
tihuks sounds like hybrid between ti and duhuks
I hope so but I wonder how much of Tikkenâs longer travel is due to the bottom housing and how much is due to its stem.
true
I hope tikkens will bring back chimeras back in meta
i think its mostly stem
More so than regular Jades? Then the Sparks might be off by .2mm too..
Probably but weâve seen both already from Hejin.
duhuk bottom + tikken stem goes down deeper than raw stem + tikken bottom
how much is regular jades according to your calipers
i have eyes
All Jades and variants are 3.3
Most*
yeah it's more so than regular jades because i have no wobble issues on jades in my 80he
keycap is a gmk esc
Tikken stem with Duhuk bottom and stock Tikken seem to have the same travel?
If so, I think itâs save to say Tikkenâs full travel is solely due to its stem.
cant wait for tikken to come out so i can make a whole board of this

im not gonna go back and rebuild the original
from memory its probably about the same
but again i dont have calipers or anything so whatev
Youâve seen the light that is Tikkens X Duhuks already, I respect it.
Itâs alr
i just love the duhuk bottom what can i say
oh yeah even just physical eye test looking at the stems next to each other the gateron sparks are shorter visibly
*longer
If you can tell the difference by eye, they must me significantly shorter for sure
yeah it's very visibly noticable
clean but very muted
needs a bright plate like cf or something to bring out the noise better
i need to get more used to them also because going between tikkens and these super short travel sparks is a big difference
yeah i bet
i need a real duhuk successor with the bottom sound
full travel

i didnt really like the raptors for that
I just like the stock switch
New fluxies on ali
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EGscpQm
Still $2/pcs
@glacial wind when pink flux test
1.9
Lol I saw those, I might buy a few just to test but man what an absurd pricing
Theyâre on aliexpress just recently
You can be that second person to buy them
I might email them to see if they fixed any of the glaring issues with the deep clack version
It feels so stupid that 35 switches is going to cost 73 dollars
Can you explain the glaring issue ?
I can get them down to maybe 65 with discount code but still absurd for only 35 switches lol
After using sparks all day today I do find them pleasant overall but extremely muted
I think theyâre a good pick for people with loads of spending budget and who want muted but not silent switches
The rgb is orange through them ?
Itâs tinted yep, and the cover is cloudy over the light hole so itâs even less bright
Itâs why sander sent his over so fast because he hated that it basically cut his rgb down a lot
Maketing strat
Not fully demagnetized springs and too strong magnet
Pepo rebuy the rgb ver
Ah
Changing springs does solve the issue ?
If you can because it looks like the magnet is large
I think they have a unique spring given their octagonal stem design, but I havenât tried tbh
I personally havenât felt any issues with my normal fluxies, but would be cool if they gave us the flux they advertised
Considering the price
Remembers me my tangerines
Sparks really tint everything plus make it much less bright
Maybe you should buy them from their website it should be cheaper
We really canât have shit these days for switches can we, nothings perfect
Raptor v2 perfect
The only thing keeping it from perfection is the inconsistent spring crunch on W/S keys, but other than that yes
Buying new HE switches is just gambling at this point
Raptors: weird spring crunch, owlab: mid bottom wobble, flux: price, magnet and not demagnetize spring, any Gateron switches: made by Gateron, everything has a flaw in one way or another
honestly the raptors spring crunch i think doesn't matter much because you can just swap the switch out. It shouldn't happen and they need to fix it, but it's not a major issue if you get one or two in a 90 pack that do that
Itâs not a widespread issue, but itâs only there on my W/S keys, everywhere else is fine
But still annoying I have to use flux WASD to get around it đ„
you didn't get extras?
Gateron at least you know you never gonna end up with a terrible switch, but also it will never be the switch of the year
sno my lil sister bought a sony camera and a sigma prime lens 30mm for her first
lol
I do, but it happens no matter how many times I swap it
another happy sony customers
With or without TTC spring
that's very weird. Is this on your wooting?
Jade maxes send their regards
Yeah
just the location causes it? I've never seen that before
There is always a middle child
It doesnât always happen, but it only happens using heavy movement keys where youâre continuously pressing W and bottoming out to move forwards or a little backwards
i think bigger thing with the raptors is that the sound profile isn't great for average person in comparison to other options
Itâll be rock solid on bottom out and then over time itâll have the weird spring crunch and feel lil wobbly
it's kind of an odd tone that's a bit flat? i guess would be the word i'd use
Itâs âthockyâ
even after lubing urself?
it feels like i can't call them clack nor thocky, it's like neither side
Pom pom pom
are you in cf plate still?
i never noticed any issue on my 80he with cf plate raptors
i wonder if more flexible plate affects it more
and then for Pom you have shitty red top housing and bad sound with not great top wobble due to large box
Alu
weird alu should be quite stiff
When you are in love, you accept all the imperfections
It is, but yeah it doesnât always happen, but when it does itâs usually bottoming out W it occurs every so often, itâs a weird feeling
I would rather have ugly switches that tinted dimmed rgb
The sparks are so muted that Iâm having to adjust to just the sound being so soft
At least itâs a clean sound
With POM you can have both
But very muted
Dimmed rgb for me doesnt matter, I play in the abyss
Pom have normal rgb
At least wooting ones
In your opinion whatâs the best sounding Hall effect switch
Currently
It can depend on what type of plate you are using, and if you do mods etc
Im running POM switches on a CF plate
totally depends on what sound profile you want really
Hat tip to sno
i usually rate based on clean sound, then after that it's up to the person to pick what sound profile they like
you can have clean sound in lots of different profiles
as long as it's not chattery like old HE switches or the polar pro split stems
Only if we get T45 tikkens
i dont really get it idc about the sound just the feeling i play with anc so i dont really hear my keyboard
like whats the point?
different strokes for different folks. Some folks care a lot, some don't.
i do make a good point though i just want a good feeling switch most of them are same im still using the lekkers 2.0.
i just think im gonna get lube to make them feel silky smooth
if you like lekker 2.0 you'll like tikkens i assume
a bit less wobble, overall smoother with less stem movement
How about clean/thocky
âThockyâ because none really sound thocky lol
Flex thocky pink version
depends on the tone you want. Tikkens are a slightly deeper clack, sparks are a very muted clack, owlab is just bright clack
Is it possible to write the smoothness of the switches here and on the website wootingmods
raptors are kind of in middle of tikkens and owlab, i find it a bit flat honestly but i haven't experimented with more plates
Well canât buy tikkens rn, so just curious what would suffice until then
GEON raws?
smoothness depends on the person so i can't really include it fully, requires more explanation too
it's already bordering on too much info for a 'cheat sheet' but the full blog i have written goes into more depth a little bit mentioning smoothness
What is the diff between Tec he and raeds he? I thought they are recolor variant
u bought ur wooting yet?
gel pad, they're different internally
same structure but there's slight change there
Still trying to nail down keycaps and switches
yea then raws
Keep going back and forth between zinc and white
considering shipping
raws are fine honestly sound wise
Yeah Isint some stupid minimis thing ending in a few days?
Idk Iâve heard grumblings from some Chinese sellers but who knows Iâm with you on that lol
@safe stag also wooting mods isn't updated anymore as I'm transitioning it all to wootings websites. They're running into some time issues right now with making a guide template for the site due to time constraints with our various projects, so i'll probably be making them online as blogs temporarily until we have the full guide template ready
If you want RAWs and youâre in the US order off divinikey
Ships from CA and they have 50g stock atm
Well I think wootings price is better rn?
yeah he might find them cheaper if he's ordering a wooting already depending on what divinikey is charging since he gets discount on the switches
the bundle pricing for switches + module is quite nice
im gonna wait till they drop
Does wooting charge tarriff âshippingâ increases
Or just like regular shipping to US
i cannot wait more for knobs
wooting stocks locally in US, but that's for existing stock. We don't know what tariff and fees will happen with this administration
For sure
so if you want a wooting i'd order soon on current stock/pricing because it could go up if tariff etc go up
calder has said that we're basically going to be passing the cost on because it's too much to absorb
so pricing can change over time depending on what happens
Yeah I imagine wootings price would increase, not sure any small business would just eat the cost

I love the idea for a split space bar but I need those arrow keys
Since the ow60 doesnt supoort splitspacebar im not even considering it
i will say as someone who had to test it out all day on the new league of legends. Split spacebar is the way forward, especially for some games that need constant wasd controls
you can friction fit the whole v2 module into the ow60 just fyi
it only doesn't function if you want the owlab cf plate mount specifically
i hope we bring split spacebar to 80he honestly because i need my f keys for some games. Depends on how things go though
What games do you need it on
I currently have a split spacebar and thumb clusters on my dygma and it is indeed nicer than a full spacebar
league uses f keys a lot for camera controls
Split spacebar i mean
oh split if you go test out the new wasd controls for league it becomes immediately an issue to not have more thumb keys
split spacebar really helps there because you need the ability keys and summoner spells bound to something that you can press without lifting off wasd
Im only considering split for the placement of the knob on a 60
Also something Iâve noticed, if you use the desktop site and build the wooting with module / switches / case you get the small discount vs. the mobile site doesnât show the discount
Not sure if anyone else has noticed, not a big deal just weird bug
it'll show up on checkout page before you pay
sometimes the cookies for the site get a bit weird i've found
so it doesn't show the discounted bundle price until you get to the later page
but yeah we're aware of that weirdness and have been trying to bugfix it as far as I know
Gotcha
Just bought the Wooting 80HE and got some Gateron Jade pro switches elsewhere since I couldnât find them in your builder app, I assume theyâll work just fine right?
Theyâll be a little outdated in terms of stem wobble in todayâs switch offerings, but they will work fine
Thanks! Any clue on good key cap sets that are also sold in Spanish ISO? Iâve found very limited offering unfortunately
Check here for your region, but ISO specific key caps will be limited in your customization unfortunately: https://www.alexotos.com/keyboard-vendor-list/
When I looked for ISO CHF for someone, that was super limited so Iâd imagine it would be a similar experience
Thanks friend!
Which would be the best switches for the 80HE for nice sound and feel? Iâve been watching keyboard channels for a year before pulling the plug on the 80HE with the jade pros
Probably would be between raptor V2s and owlabs currently
If youâre not chasing max stem wobble, a lot of folks love the ti he
For a brighter clack
Will be cheaper than Jade pros as well
Man someone should sell a bag with a couple of switches selection from each brand
Already bought them and had them shipped lol so Iâll defo try them out I guess
I still have mine sitting in my mod box
Need to be able to build the 80HE fine and all, first keyboard Iâll build
Jade pros are still good so I wouldnât worry bout it
Haha if someone sold a bag with 3 switches of each type Iâd defo had bought it
Would be great for noobs like myself
But super excited to get it all and build it
Honestly I think a lot of folks wouldnât feel the difference from jade pro to owlab ti he anyway
Itâs very small
I assume latency wise theyâre all the same?
Yeah
Thanks đ
I guess the GEON raws have dropped off the list haha
And sorry to be a pest but the alternative cases for the 80HE aside from the zinc are the kbdfans 80gp and holy no?
GT80, Bone80 and holy80 iirc
If you plan on doing future mods I think the GT80 case is miles ahead of the zinc (case screws are a huge pain), but sound wise they are comparable with slight differences
You can find it on aliexpress if you want it
Yes I got the custom 80HE module with the ghost plastic grey to upgrade to a metal one eventually
They're still fine
It was a tough explanation to the wife the purchase of an expensive keyboard so thought Iâd break the news bit by bit
Luckily for you GMK keycaps donât have iso Spanish option
Otherwise we might not hear from you again
i can't decide how i feel about 3.2mm travel on these sparks
it's quite short feeling
Damn hearing another sound test of these akkos astrolinks got me thinking again
Pleasant
i wouldn't spend too much time listening to sound tests honestly, unless it's a specific comparison in the same video/recording in same mic/computer etc
without a frame of reference you can't tell if it's just the mic making the sound that you like or the switch
that's why one video will make you think this switch is amazing, but you'll find another video of the same switch and think it doesn't sound great
so cross comparing between 2 different people is often not useful at all
Yeah you arenât wrong, I may just try em out and see. Seems to be highly rated amongst a lot of people
Hey guys guess what
Nice sale on Amazon
happy birthday, i hope you get a sony lens
Happy birthday!
Yes man you already got me planning what should I do when I change switches on the future lol
https://pt.aliexpress.com/item/1005008846403158.html?channel=twinner
can someone tell me if these keycaps fit the 80he?
Raptors are here
?
Hype
HIS RAPTORS HAVE ARRIVED
lol maybe one day
Hey thanks
Their stability is impressive, barely any top wobble and very little bottom wobble.
Also I can't feel the friction at all @tawdry tree
I'm gonna spring swap them with TTC springs now, since they're hand lubed
You hear the friction tho, right?
Raptors are a recolor of those so get whichever is cheaper honestly.
V2s*
No, maybe I'm deaf.
you have to specifically push kind of sideways as you push down and put ear close to it
then you can hear the sound
Yeah, I'm not doing that
yeah it's overall not really a thing i think people would notice in normal usage
kinda feel bad for criticizing astros so hard lmao
expected people to notice it more ig
Ali $1 opener btw, Raptors aren't getting stuck for me
geon shouldâve improved when he said he was gonna
đ„
My only real criticism is that weird spring crunch when youâre pressing W/S, genuinely feel no other shii
yeah the only thing i've seen that would be noticable is the spring crunch thing
i haven't been able to see that happen to any of mine though
Itâs not even consistent too which is the real wtf moment
Might just be how itâs designed and not a spring thing since it also happens with TTC springs
honestly if i were using any of these new spring switches i'd hand lube them though
they all have spring ping in some units
yeah, it could be that the springs have too little space
oh that might be it actually
đ
the actual lube is fine though, but the lube on springs would be something i'd do for all of these long spring switches
Might just use W/S flux and AD raptor
although i haven't heard any spring ping on the sparks
but gateron has always been pretty decent with springs. Them and ttc at least seem to get springs done well, although maybe they lubed the internal stem so much that it got on the springs as well lol
the sparks are almost dripping
You think it could go away with time or permanent feature
Sno do you think now ow60 would sell in less than a 3hrs in 2nd batch?
well it's a large batch so i doubt it, but who knows
okay i double checked the gateron spark springs. They are moist lol
i can feel the lube on my hands after holding it, that's why they don't seem to ping
first batch was tiny
400 keyboard cases is Tiny?
yeah that's a tiny amount of keyboards for a batch
was it 200 ansi 200 iso? i forget
Well also batch was only eu only
It wasnt been shared
If it was, i already would knew
i never looked into it, I just remember the number given was 200, so where did you get 400?
where did you see that?
General
i recall it as 200 of both total
she said 200 in total lol
you're misremembering
I definetly remember saying it is 200 per colour
yeah it's 200 units, i just checked all the previous marketing for it
so yeah first batch was tiny
Ok my bad
Maybe time to go spring hunting
Always we can check with mark
just throw your ttc springs in them honestly
Crazy how 200 people bought a 400 dollar case like its nothing and thereâs still demand
I might do that for others but had same issues with W bottom out

i picked a black unit i think for mine
only because i didn't want to change keycaps to match the beige one
this batch is much bigger than last batch so i'd be surprised if people don't all get a chance to buy it as long as you're there during the launch timing
First batch was 200 units, second batch was 800 units
In stock sales will start on the 2nd of September for both US and EU/ROW
oh did we announce that already, i wasn't sure
The qty has been mentioned in Youtube videos, that's not new info
I don't think the sales date has been officially announced yet, but we're so close that I might as well đ
Are the issues confirmed to be fixed?
They werent annouced at all
Or still just the word of Owlab that they checked more thoroughly this time? đ
Not my department đ
Will v2 have gummy o-ring mount cutouts?
my job is league of legends person this week so i don't know anything outside of that
I hope so there wouldnt be more variants of cutouts

Whose department is it?
He is doing shipment stuff
Thatâd increase the PCB manufacturing time, and thus costâŠâŠâŠ
đ„
Not as far as I know. It already comes with a friction mount
@tawdry tree I mean i think it should be quality checker job
But i dont think so hes on discord
Not sure if Woot has that
They hired one
itâd be nice if they opened some up and checked them to see if the issues were in fact resolved
đ€
While 80he had issues
you may apply to be another one if you want: https://wooting.io/careers/quality-engineer-full-time-taiwan
Being a Quality Engineer, youâre constantly connected with your team, sharing insights, solving problems, and pushing for improvements. But your work isnât confined to your desk, sometimes it takes you even further â boarding a flight to China, walking the factory floor, ensuring every detail is just right.
Okay, the springs in the Astros and Raptors have the exact same dimensions but I have no clue why Raptorsâ springs are collapsing (donât know the exact word for it).
Raptorsâ springs slip over the coils below it, so to say.
And thatâs what you can hear and feel.
Right
Gross
Seems like a failure to have a hard stop just before the spring is fully compressed
Sounds unpleasant
Astrolinks baby
Raptor v2 factory lube
Do I need to scrape off the "paint" if I want to ground a gummy O-ring mounted 60HE in a anodized Tofu Redux ? Also, does anyone know where I can buy conductive sponge in the EU, preferably in Poland?
NSFW marking pls
Would TX springs fix said issue or wrong dimension
Wrong dimension sadly
The only springs with the same dimensions I know of are TTCâs
Youâd need to scrape the anodized layer off below were you place the conductive foam piece, yeah. You can get them off of AliExpress, not too expensive.
Thatâs so weird bc I have same issue with TTC springsâŠâŠ..
You know what
Iâll just spring swap all of them
And pick each switch out of a hat surely
If you have crunch with TTCâs springs too, then itâs just switch design.
Maybe theyâd need even smaller springs or something
smaller diameter
Do yall remove excess lube from factory before relubing
No, also I'm not relubing, just swapping spring
Depends. Some manufacturers lube their switches with straight up oil instead of thicker lube, so Iâd wipe that off if you relube.
Cause you donât want the new lube to slide over the old lube
Wouldn't the usb port alignment screw work for grounding?
Placing the sponge on top of it to be exact
It would but you canât place a conductive foam piece on top of a screw that is on top of a standoff.
Itâd have to be a screw in place of one of the removable standoffs if that makes sense.
Itâs a good idea honestly, better than scraping the case.
I donât remember if the removable standoffs on the Redux used M2 holes as well.
They probably do.
I was talking about that specific screw
Can someone recommend me a upgrade for stabs and a case with better feel than the PCR plastic version?
seond time I heard this in the last few month... weird
you go with the original made by a hobbyist for hobbyists and not with the knockoffs ;)
Never tried it before so it was interesting
Hey guys I was doing the wooting initialization and canceled it half way through . Now my Wooting won't turn on. I've tried unplugging and replugging and shutting down the computer neither worked
Swagkey knight v3s and tofu 60 redux are good
Lol I'm getting outdated
BTW when I plug it in it is labeled as wooting restore anyone know what that means?
Oh, that might work too but I donât remember if the screw was recessed. If it is, the conductive foam isnât gonna touch it, so it wouldnât work.
You need to restore it
o7
When you press "Reset Device" Wooting Restore doesn't show up in HID devices?
Do you have another PC or a laptop to restore your keyboard there? If not try this https://help.wooting.io/article/173-how-to-flush-all-dead-registry-entries
Sometimes even after following this guide Issue - Wootility doesn't detect the Wooting the Wootility still can not detect the keyboard, this can be because of d
I tried that but it won't show up in any computer
When i press initialize new device in wootility it doesn't show up but wooting restore does show up in windows settings
I really hope I didn't blow the PCB
Or actually I don't think I did since wooting restore does show in win settings
You don't have to press "Initialise a device".
Click "Try out Wootility" then Help > 60HE and "Reset Device", Wooting Restore then should pop up in HID devices.
ITS WORKING
Nice đ
nvm
Your browser doesn't have enough permissions. If you are using Chrome go in Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Additional permissions > HID devices > Default behavior and choose "Sites can ask to connect to HID devices"
Alternatively, you can use the desktop Wootility App (https://wooting.io/wootility) instead of the browser version.
If youâre using Firefox or non chromium browser youâll need to use chrome/edge for it to work
Ik my benom didnât show up until I swapped to edge
Hopefully that fixes it đđ»
bro got edged by geon
No thatâs my sad W key raptor noises
All of the permissions are allowed tho
It just won't show up in HID devices no matter what I do but it is connected to the computer because it does have wooting restore in settings
Try with Wootility app, if it still doesn't show up then contact Wooting https://wooting.io/support
yep didnt work
contacting wootility thx for the help tho
Seems like it's stuck in Restore mode. You can try this while waiting for their response.
https://help.wooting.io/article/210-fix-right-side-of-60he-not-working
Symptoms Your 60HE may be stuck in restore mode after a successful flash, or you may be experiencing phantom inputs for the keys handled by the multiplexer in c
does blue tape work
Electrical tape if available, if not then any tape is fine.
If you have transparent tape use that
so paperback is a no go?
Try it, should be fine
Gotta be honest was not expecting that to work but were back online đ đ đ
Tysm for all the help

Has anyone tried ceramic (cerakey in this case) Keycaps with a Wooting/HE keyboard?
How does it affect how it feels to push down a switch?
Does the added weight of the ceramic do anything with the switch?
@jolly inlet
Gn
Youll need heavier springs for the spacebar
just the spacebar?
I believe so
70-100 grams spring weight
For spacebar
Probably also wouldn't go lighter then 60 for other modifiers
anyone tried spring swapping the raptor V2 yet?
Yes, I spring swapped them with TTC springs
You can only swap stock Raptor v2 springs with TTC, if you have their switches. Other springs aren't compatible, because of the bigger diameter.
do you have the spring diameter handy?
thanks for the info đ
that diameter applies to most or all TTC switches?
TTC KOM
Not sure about Elf Kings and their other switches
They're fine. I noticed spring crunch only on one switch, rotating spring helped.
I saw that too and I thought "how the hell do they have an opinion when it's not out yet" đ
unless?
the person who makes the chart is from a wooting team member
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Sno has tried them
sno is a reliable person
where did you get yours from ali express?
Divinikey, they're out of stock now

I'm already having issues fat fingering with the lekker V2s so I want a much higher starting force but nobody makes those switches or springs đ
is there any sound difference and feel from tikkens or basically the same switch as owlabs?

Maybe wait for Lekker Tikkens instead? Raptor v2s have light springs
Tikken springs are 55g
have they let you test out the tikkens yet shf?
starting or bottom out?
Bottom out, so 5g lighter than L60v2
At least you can spring swap them with other springs
@tawdry tree wooooah it just clicks when you press on stem directly
With Raptors your only option is TTC KOM springs
ohhhhh, they use standard springs
đ„
well, more standard at least
Yeah, Tikken springs will have 6.1mm diameter
same as the wooting switch pack?
why not just reduce actuation point
if you're fatfingering keys I feel like you'd need insanely strong springs to prevent accidental inputs lol
Yes
I still want the benefit of tight actuation points tho :/
skill issue đ«
if you have 0.1mm actuation point, I imagine you'd need a 1kg spring to prevent fatfingering it
maybe a diff keycap profile would help
my actuation point is actually at 1.8mm đ
i changed from the white switch plate to the black one available on wooting store
so i took off all my switches, but now my switch key is getting physically stuck (the key cap itself) sometimes in the down position
i already lubed the stabilizers from the top, what else coould be causing it?
it wasnt doing it before i changed switch plates
me pulling up to buy those tikken switches
@tropic urchin rate the drip
Damn Goku extra hairy
True, thatâs how you get mentally hacked

any chance you live alone?
why dont you put your number in my IPHONE 16 PRO MAX
let me show you the Hongdae way
my university machining shop isn't open yet :(
from the reels I saw hongdae guy doesn't even care if they have a partner or not, he still makes his move
has anyone here used jade pros and akko astrolink? do they sound/feel similar? trying to decide whether or not i want to get astrolinks over my jade pros
astrolinks are tighter wobble, jade pros i think sound a tad nicer (but sound is preference)
Hrm my fed ex driver might be confused
guy is driving around netherlands while you're in korea
he must be looking for the city seoul in netherlands
hrm i can't decide what to put in my top 3 for RGB switches. I guess I just put the most stable between ugaming gt and newer ttc rgbs, either ur ice ultra or mmd c1 for a good all-rounder regular stem pick, and maybe phylina thunderflash for another slightly different stem pick
i need to do sound test between ugaming gt and ttc rgb new one though to decide what is cleaner
okay so basically pointless to purchase them. or do they have the classic hmx clack? because thats what i really want from an HE switch is the insane clackiness of an HMX
see if we were given pa66+fiberglass bottom housings with protruded magnet POM stems with like a nylon or PC top housing, super tight stem tolerance, and some 20mm 50g+- springs, we wouldve gotten a dream switch for the clackers
Duhuks were so close yet so far
this is the hongdae way
"i love the foreign girlseu"
đč
dw i will show you the Hongdae way
You got the** IPHONE 16 PRO MAX?**
i got the IPHONE 17 PRO MAX ULTRA
well clack in general is the one thing HE can do decently well, but I'm not sure if the clack is exactly the same as what you're looking for
anyone with mmd c1 can confirm it's really that light at 38g bottom out?
mine are still on the way but i want to prep my guide info

Sno about to make one of the woot engineers build a contraption that can measure the exact specs of a switch so he can put it in his chart
and then hes going to measure how hot the switch is during 10 press/s
Cooking up the perfect switch goddamn
Short stem too for that 4mm travel
why stop at 4mm, when you can have the people change the stem themselves, 3mm, 3.5mm, and 4mm option
Hey team, mind a semi noob question? Are keyreative kap keycaps considered good quality?
And generally is double shot pbt much better than dye sublimated? I also found grey ash keycaps from glorious in Spanish ISO
generally not really, but only if both are decent quality. There's really cheap thin 5 side dye sub which scratches easily and that's what you find in a lot of ali express colorful graphic keycaps for example
Oh interesting might go for the glorious ones then
but if you see just general dye sub legends from a reputable brand like osume, it's usually good and no issues there
probably majority of my keycaps are dyesub these days, but good quality dye sub from brands like 80retros and osume
I was trying to find pbt pudding or backlit but 0 dice in Spanish iso
yeah unfortunately a lot of the language ones are hard to find and you end up stuck with aliexpress 5 sided dye sub stuff for those
Do you know if those are decent?
Theyâre not backlit but I got the ghost 80HE so I guess even without backlit Iâll be able to see the keys in the dark
honestly not sure. it's a bit weird that they don't list what printing method they used, which makes me a bit sus
Thanks!
Knew it was a skill issue
Classic HMX clack is quite a bit higher pitched than the Astrolinks/Raptor HE V2s I think.
quick question, are there any thick Polycarb cases for any of the wooting kbs?
Why PC specifically?
cuz it looks cool and in my experience sounds deeper than metal cases
Ah, Iâm not sure about PC but there are acrylic and ABS cases.
ooooo theres acrylic???
ABS being the stock case for the 80HE.
Yeah, the Tofu Redux has an acrylic variant.
NOOOOO are there any for the 80he??
Thereâs an acrylic variant of the Leggera too iirc
No.
OH MY GOD THE RAW ACRYLIC LOOKS SO NICE
Buy the 60HE v2 đ
i wish i could afford it, but might buy some switches, the lekker tikkens seem interesting asf, so i wanna see how they are.
btw anybody else swapped out the plate foam /plate on their wooting kb?
Many
cuz i think i mightve fucked up, i bought an aftermarket poron case foam and POM plate but i swear to god the pcb is warping ever so slightly
i think its the stabs, im using typeplus yikb stabs and they seem tight asf around the stabilizers
Ah, yeah. If the plate has plate mounted stab holes, then fat stabs (like the Typeplus) wonât fit well.
is it fine or is it sanding time
For plastic plates itâs fine really
unless you encounter issues with the stabs themselves
if not, dw about it
nah just tight and seems to flex the pcb tiny tiny bit but everything working well, but oh my god the new plate foam and plate made my keyboard sound even more glorious than before, it sounds like pebbles clicking
and is it true that if i put on the pe/ixpe sheets on the pcb, itll mess up the switches/sensors?
like those really thin sheets that you put on the front side of the pcb under the switches
PET sheets not so much as theyâre stiff. But the foam ones can cause issues, especially when combined with a plastic plate.
ahhhhh, damn, yeah did hear very mixed results online. damn im so curious how they would chnage the sound tho, im wondering if it would mute it or make it clackier
Just try it
you can always use less sensitive settings
if you do end up liking the sound
itâll mute the sound more
ohhh, that might be interesting then, i was worried it would make it clackier, since i used poron foam in my gt80 but since it was so thick it ended up making it even clackier rather than muting it, which confused tf out of me at first
thanks again, appreciate it !!
when foam compresses a lot, it can start to sound like silicone would (reflecting the sound more so to say, so more clacky).
Someone give me some more raw zync/white keycap ideas
@gaunt plume https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=971101148566 gateron dragons roar
Itâs as much of a skill issue as cam losing his legs on flux as it worked for all other switches before
keychron selling half boards now
half keyboard with the price of whole keyboard
I read gat like a book
trueee
Why is it 160
keychrons have always been pricier than most, and they're usually alu
Maybe soon when I get the case file from KBDFans, Iâll make a copper bottom for the Holy80
sadge
why keychron still uses those HE sensors is beyond me
big oof
ts pmo
supposedly the tactile spark feels interesting, but not ideal for HE usage
accuracy gets hit a bit as usual with tactile stuff
is it still a split stem on them?
maybe cause they have a huge lineup with weird stuff like 100% HE that is wireless, or a 75% HE that has a numpad added to the left lol
takes a while to change technology from that
No split stem
hmm so if you remove the leaf you get a linear spark that is less dampened
or the Glorious strat, they make it proprietary so they can sell overpriced switches to their own customers
đ„°
Maybe
I donât have the Sparks yet so not sure
Iâm fairly certain that their lighter green variant is exactly that.
A Jade Emerald without the leaf
That Iâm not sure. Iâll grab a few when they come out
yeah could be
ah I thought they were already in your gateron airdrop
Anyone has a sound comparison of gateron jade pro vs owlabs ti he done on the same keyboard to understand the difference?
Recolor or what?
Not a recolor exactly. The Tactile Jade Emeralds donât have a split stem (like the Sparks have).
Whatâs your personal experience with these two if I might ask? Just got some jade pros shipped and feeling slight buyers remorse
Theyâre fine, just a bit out dated in terms of stability.
The sound profile of Jade Pros is a deeper clack, and there arenât that many other options if you want that.
Ti HEs, are louder and higher pitched.
Is the last vid (Pink Lightning) not playing for anyone else?
why is there the thing like on mechanical switches
If youâve already bought them and donât have any frame of reference for switch stability you shouldnât notice a lot of issues. Iâd upgrade over time if the switches become super wobbly and it starts to annoy you (which is what I did)
Itâs tactile
Once you have a frame of reference you start to notice it a lot more subconsciously
But truth be told with how many new switches get released these days, youâll always have some buyers remorse, but thereâs a lot of low cost options springing forward @noble turret
I like these one but they are out of stock
Honestly long as you get something from jade pro gen onwards thatâs recommended theyâre all fairly good
@tawdry tree
Nah wasnât out yet, but bunch of the wooting folks got some at Gamescom
Yeah theyâre nice, but the sound test uses a wooden case here fyi.
I ordered some Jade ruby just to have them on hand since it was the only one I was missing from gateron still after the drop
Although I guess I need the sakura still as well but Iâm still not sure if those are actually limited or not
Omg the green tech sounded so creamy
They donât sound clean in person
Oh really??
Way to ruin the ladâs dreams @tawdry tree
Yeah, but they are pretty stable and they have a split stem.
Yeah, the Greetech Unionwell Polar Pros
Mmm I didnât like how the owlabs sounded too high pitch in your recording the gateron jade pro, spark and green tech were the ones I found more pleasant
But you say the green tech isnât pleasant in person so I should probably stick with one of the two gateron ?
Not my recording haha, I linked the person who made it in the message as well. You can check his YT channel out for more sound tests.
Itâs a fine switch but Jade Pros sound cleaner for sure.
Epic I am much happier now thanks lol
If you end up really liking the Jade pros, the new raptor V2s share some sound profile similarities
Give them some time, and see what you like/donât like, thereâs a lot of switches to choose from nowadays vs when I got my 80HE
please do not get polar pros if creamy is your goal
absolutely do not get polar pros for that sound lol
Not even a polar bro anymore smh
i still like them but i'd never recommend them for sound. They sound awful
You should make another tier called âabsolutely do not get these if you value soundâ
there are other sound tests in the pins btw
eh you never notice top wobble unless it makes sound so i never worry about it
I do, if I hover my fingers on keys
Top wobble is usually what I notice first if Iâm laying my fingers on it
And Iâll subconsciously wiggle it
for me i only care about bottom wobble
long as it's no chatter and good bottom i'm good
I can deal with S tier top, A+ bottom, but not A top, S bottom
but unionwell is chatter city
the forth switch in the pinned message is unionwell in a different color btw @noble turret
that's what they actually sound like when recorded. A lot of chatter, no distinct sound
phone recordings hide the unionwell chatter a lot, it's why I hated all the twitter recordings
Might be a long shot but does anyone know where I can find this skeleton keycap for the enter key?
thockfather might, he collects artisans
@glacial wind unrelated, blink twice if this is a forbidden topic, but has there been any talk of T45 Tikkens or is it a current wait 4-5 months post launch and itâll maybe happen
I would check Etsy or r/mechmarket and see if you can find something similar
Legend, thanks
but what if it's cream with cookies for the added crunch
it's been brought up awhile ago by folks internally, but i'm not production so i don't know anything about where they decided to go with it
Mark always ignores T45 so I figured it was taboo over there
well the thing is we can never add anything to the discussion there either way so not much to say
for example if we do know then we have to deny or say nothing anyway, and if we don't then we can't give any input anyway
So itâs more of a separation of team responsibility vs actually happening or not
I migjt be picking up an oled tomorrow or Saturday

BIIIIIIIG
yeah one thing at wooting that a lot of folks externally don't realize is the team is huge. There's a lot of different teams working on different projects and we don't all keep up to date with the other teams stuff until it's close to release
Understandable
Found a open box g61sd on bestbuy for 660 cad after tax
Has warranty too
Iâd be one of the first buyers of T45, but idk if I can do 55g long spring after gaterons 50g just felt stiff to me
like some folks didn't even know we were doing a plastic case wooting v2 until it was announced because it was only really mentioned in one or two meetings that weren't mandatory for people not in that team
If its still there when I get paid I shall buy
Iâd be cautious of dead pixels
Only reason im buying is because it says it has warranty still
And was "geak squad certified"
So should be fine?
Surely right
it's dark souls lore level of mystery
only for it to turn out as "get a life nerd, we aint doing 7u, t45s and whatnot"
Well thereâs precedent for T45s, with none for tsangan and 7u so thatâs why it never made sense to not offer it on launch
If ppl didnât buy it the option wouldnât be there (for lekkers)
nice nice
Thank you so much
Iâll stick with the jade pros as my start switches and if I notice they loose rigidity then Iâll see what comes new with the sound I like
yeah I think t45s have a big chance to exist cause they continued to make l45s when lekkers got an upgrade, and if people are ready to buy a switch instead of changing springs then there are sales to be made
I love creamy sounds
I bought my son a Logitech g 515 and the sound and feel made me finally jump the gun and buy the Wooting 80HE
Even 52.5g short spring from geon felt like I was using a G502
It was so nice compared to any other keyboard I had
