If the blend and thickness is exactly the same, then no. Double shooting is simply a different way to add legends on a keycap.

The PCB architecture of the Atlas is stacked, with two PCBAs placed on top of each other and secured with screws. It appears that the LEDs are attached to the bottom-most PCBA.

This is the first time I’ve seen this design used in keyboards.

The m chip performance and battery life is crazy and the build quality on them has been top tier

Unless you specifically need something windows only or for gaming purposes I wouldn’t buy a windows laptop these days

I got two GT-80, seems like they changed the colors of the ball system with different batches, oddly both have a similar issue for me that on the right side the case isn’t completely flush (I believe the the top plate is slightly bend so I squeaks with light pressure lol).

Basically silent switches are super rare so it’s basically just mathew silent/dove for now. Genty silent don’t count since they’re not even the least bit silent

Technically there’s the raed he too, but those are not recommended if you do any precise gaming as they have accuracy issues due to being rubber dome design

Not sure what this is based on but it doesn’t seem to be the case. The squishy part of Raeds varies less (+/- 0.19mm, in thickness) than the springy part of Haimus (+/- 0.25mm). Raeds are more stable overall (less stem wobble) as well.

I would only not recommend them because they’re tactile, but if not for that, they’re a better pick overall (if silence is the goal).

So I installed a metal space bar and increased the swing weight for 35g to 70g and its...better but still sicks. When they space bar is just on the switch out of the board is great super fast not to much resistance but once installed and stabilizers in it sticks like mad. Anyone have any ideas or tips?

basically has an entire segment talking about how he thinks all the 0.005 type stuff is just marketing fluff and not real or usable in any of the boards

and also a lot of the super small amounts are even more fake because they don't measure to 0.005. This is his measurement of the 0.005 setting on the chillkey slice, which comes out to 0.08 (and he still doesn't recommend using it with zero deadzone for anyone)

The red from Redline/Red Devils is the most vibrant for sure. My phone white balance isn't great so it's not meant to be color accurate, only showing the difference between shades. No light, sun light and overhead can lights on a warm temp.

Not exactly. I call it tariffs but there's a lot more to it that's what's really screwing over the US customers. For individual out of country purchases like these from Geon, you get charged the typical, duties/tariffs but it's the brokerage fees that really make it a disaster. UPS/FedEx/DHL all charge outrageous and unregulated brokerage fees to handle the paperwork and process to bring it into the country and it's often times as much or more than the actual tariffs and duties.

So in Wootings case, they have a dedicated broker that handles all of their logistics and brokerage processes and that's a significant cost reduction to the end user. So instead of a 100-200% markup, its much much lower.

That's why Wooting isn't shipping individual orders to the US from outside of the US and are only shipping US orders from their US distribution center.

And if you're just changing the dampening material from foam to silicone to none, it's just the 8 screws and the stabilizer keycaps. Don't even need to pull switches. So it's like a 5min change.

Nope you're good. Unlike MX the switches don't insert into the PCB, they just sit on top'ish with the switch legs poking through. You can pull the switch plate away from the PCB with the switches installed.

I'm not the best one to answer as I have the stock cases (both plastic and zinc) but I do think there are a few other options out there

Your plate + switches will determine more for the quieter sound (zinc is a little deeper than GT80), but both are definitely doable

And how much foam you use

If you want to mod your keyboard overtime at all, GT80 easily clears cuz fuck those case screws tbh

CF plate is very clacky and stiff

You will want to look at plates like PP, stock Wooting PC plate and POM plates

And maybe FR4

If you use deep/quieter switches it won’t matter

Pc plate + silicone gasket does a lot of heavy lifting in killing the sound

Tape mod can mute some of the resonance, typically done on metal or stiff plates. Won't be a big difference on plastic plates. You'll get a little more poppiness to the sound
