The flames are south pole and didn't not pass my test when I tested them. Plus while a switch may "work" it may not work well enough to be added as a recommendation

I test for full readings across the entire range of motion to make sure at its lowest point it's not too strong and at the highest point not too weak. I also make sure there is a smooth curve from top to bottom and that the switches are consistent.

They weren’t optimally compatible last I checked. Their magnets are weaker and thus don’t actuate the full range similar to some other switches.

All Latenpow’s switches work perfectly fine.

Jade Mini E isn’t compatible and never will due to it’s horizontal magnet orientation.

the best thing to make a keyboard quiet is the switches. there are some hall effect silent switches out there atm

Poron foam and silicone are both fine, if you're runnign friction pad then stick with it, silicone affects the pitch and frequencies by cutting out the mids and poron's focus is dampening the highs.
Cutting out the mids of the switch makes it sound more snappier or muted and as for poron it just emphasizes the lowers and mids.

Updated scanning on the 80HE. I don’t have an old 60HE+ anymore so can’t check that. The magnet strength Kailh stated doesn’t make any sense so I wouldn’t trust it, they’re weaker rather than stronger. I don’t know what Gamakay stated for the strength though.

Not an expert on painting but I think sanding, then cleaning and painting would be best. There might be some paint that doesn’t require sanding and just cleaning does the job.

totally depends on format, and compatibility in tkl stuff is a bit of a fakeout

compatible format doesn't mean compatible without mods

you'd still very often be needing to design and print your own plate even if 2 cases use the same standard in tkl

mounting differences just mean plates need to be adapted to fit and be supported for the pcb

60% was just a unique situation where this adaptation didn't need to happen because it was all just tray mount instead of the world of 5018202 gasket mount types in tkl
