The mounting itself causes or allows the pcb, plate, and switch sound become seperate from the case due to it not making direct contact. But this is for traditional gummy mount board speaking like bakeneko, unikorn, etc.

• put in new cherry clip in stabs (lubed and tuned)
• rebuilt the board with new pcb, new switches, foams, added more o-rings to the burger mount, and force break mod to reduce hollow sound of board

Hi, I've been seeing a lot of keyboard brands marketing their keyboards with "8K polling rate" as if it was a mandatory feature for everyone and a dealbreaker for some keebs with 1k polling like the wooting, my question is, is 8k polling rate all that or just overhyped? I have a razer basilisk v3 pro, capable of 8k but I don't think it's worth, not only drains my battery life, it drains more power from my cpu and I can barely, if at all, see the difference

Maybe I'm contradicting myself saying it's not that amazing and actually wanting to hear about it, but it's such a "trendy" feature

i can make an 8k polling board and have it internally just scan all keys once every second

so while youd pc asks the keyboard for new data 8000 times a second well... no key changes for any of those polls

what you really want is a high polling rate, high scanrate, low to no debounce time and fast usb packet assembly in the mcu firmware

AHAHA, I'm a total noob in the keyboard enthusiast thing but I completely understand, I have a full size, I use it up to TKL size at best but I think I can manage and make a 60% work (I'm not that dependent on f row, arrows? a little but if I make mod tap work, no worries), I'm counting on the wootility software to ease up my worries about going from a full size to 60%. I've seen and heard people say they are more efficient and faster since they switched to a 60 rather than TKL or even full size (less hand movement, everything's more centered)

for example i have mod tap on my left windows key, if i TAP the key it acts as windows key, if i HOLD the key it acts as function key

function + tab is print screen for me, function + 12345 are f1, f2, f3, etc

one can even argue that pressing left windows key + tab for screenshot is easier than pressing print screen on 80he as there's less arm/hand movement involved

anyway, my point is that there are some quirks to the layout, but you have ways to overcome them

If you have to replace them then knight v2, but stock is generally fine with tuning

what if i made a website that just had a lot of interactive 3D keyboards

so like you could click on a key and would make a sound the real keyboard makes

and you can add tape mods to see what it would sound like and stuff

and even try different switches
