I have an intresting problem. I use a Modded ROG Azoth with Drop Holy Panda X Switches as my current main keyboard. I now just bought a Wooting 60 module with alumaze and gateron jades. My question now is: Is it possible to give the wooting a tactile feel or make it feel more like my Holy pandas. I would love to fully switch to the Wooting but I think I will miss my Holy Pandas. My initial Idea was to switch the springs of the jades to something like 70gf springs, but I am not sure if this will make it better of even change the sound profile. Thanks for everybody that has an Idea.

I’ve used and tested quite a few boards. I mained the 60HE, then the 60HE+ for a couple years and recently switched to the Hm Xu. The Hm doesn’t have DKS, Gamepad mapping and Mod Tap but it has many other features. It’s easier to see in the screenshots than explaining. Hm’s software works but looks kinda outdated tbh. I also would like if it supported more switches, including reversed polarity ones and more depth based features like Woot has. For Woot, calibration and switch support too (despite supporting a lot already) and utilizing time based features like Hm does.

Yeah, Dynamic Key Stroke where you can bind up to four different keys to one basically (it’s a niche but can be useful). Yes exactly, the Hm doesn’t have tachyon mode because it doesn’t need it, similar to the 80HE. It scored a bit better on the latency tests so that can be an improvement point for Woot too.

WS Dashes are just a Jade recolor, so yes, they’re fully compatible. Sticky Rice (gen1/the 4.0mm travel ones) are not yet optimally compatible. There have been issues with those so I wouldn’t recommend them.

The most popular that we've seen lately in games like val and most controller games has been neutral, so if you press 2 keys at once, you don't move anywhere. Then there's last input priority, which snap tap popularized, and has been a way that fighting games have handled SOCD previously, where no matter how long you hold 2 keys at the same time, whichever was activated last takes priority.

There's also absolute priority, where whenever SOCD is active, it'll default to a certain direction, like some fighting games default to UP.

sometimes if you hold both, you go nowhere, neutral. sometimes if you press one, A, then the other, D, you'll go right, last input priority.

Some of them when you press any combo of A and D, or W and S, up/down, left/right, you'll go up.

Snap tap uses last input priority, and that is the most popular SOCD for the wooting settings for games like cs2, val, ow2, etc

you'll notice in games when you active last input priority SOCD, and do NOT have the alternative behaviour switch at the bottom toggled, that if you hold one direction, and tap the other at a corner, you'll jiggle peak it super fast cause every tap will make you walk the opposite direction instead of just come to a stop, then walk the opposite direction

it's a lot more responsive, and you NEVER get overlapping inputs that result in a neutral movement input

buy lekker since, the jades are made for a higher mahjong sounding clacky experience so its high pitched, look for guides that help you make your KB "thockier" as that is a deeper sound profile, lube your switches and springs, lube stabs w thicker grease, do holee mod, tape mod, lots of foam or other ways to fill in the case, use abs case, use deskmat to dampen further, the desk you type on will also affect the sound

they basically oversaturate the sensor so you dont get good accuracy

the HE boards are generally easier to remove that stuff too

like I'm sure you can just open the case, and separate the pcb/plate easier cause it doesn't secure into the pcb like mx hotswap

so you don't have to remove each switch each time you change/remove/add foam
