Didn't they all give recommendations at different price points
Yeah mines chill and could push an 800s fine probably but would probably upgrade for 800s lol
I want to get a nice audio interface but it's kinda pointless because I just use truthear zeros...
Itās not recommendations tho
Itās what they actually use
However you wanna look at it tho
Want to get a pair of dt990 pros eventually though
Yeah well most of those guys are very far down the rabbit hole
Yeah very much
IEM best budget
Thatās why Iām saying no one needs $1600 headphones
P38x best headset value
Whenever I pickup some nice headphones they'd only be for music/general listening
Truthear zeros are too op in fps games
Zeros are good there are better options at higher prices though
Iām completely content with my 560s and ifi zen v2 DAC/amp combo for now
Gaming I feel like I can hear everything with good directionality
All set
I'm perfectly happy with my zeros + fiio ek10
Until Iām rich lol
damn bruh
But would like a nice pair of headphones for music eventually
I'm still rocking my em6ls which were $110
Paid 75 cad for my zeros and couldn't be happier with them
As long as bass isnt muddy im satisfied
My hearing damag already gives me messy bass, i dont need any more of it
When I first got into it, I got Beyerdynamics DT990s thinking they were good cause thatās kinda what a lot of people were saying at the time , now I know better lol
hi
One of those things you don't know what is better until you experience it yourself
My pc38x was pretty substantial in terms of clarity from the usual headphones I always had
Pretty clear even with my hearing dmg
Literally
Thatās what I tell my friends about high fps high refresh rate
You just donāt know until you experience it yourself
Oled
That too
I remember my friend telling me 60hz->144 can't be that much better

I believe it
Even going back to my friend playing on his 480p TV telling me there's not much difference between that and 1080p
Eyes need to be cleaned
I upgraded from my zeros to the raptgo hook-x, and I've been in love with them for a few years now. I don't know what else I'd upgrade to from these honestly, maybe something like the yanyin canon ii but I think it's marginable differences, and can get expensive beyond the 250$ish pairs really fast lmao
Comfort is most important
I like how the hook-x is an open back IEM so the pressure doesn't build up as bad, it's still not like open back headphones but I can hear my surroundings when not gaming a bit better and don't feel that ear pressure as much
I had some shoulder issues so wearing headsets for long sessions just wasn't working anymore
@fluid ravine you been enjoying your Truthear Crinacle Reds?
only thing i could probably want audio wise is an interface now
Well not pointless if you want things like volume knob

Already can do that part with my fiio dac
I use an audient evo4 with my IEMs
i like how so many iems have anime girl boxes lmao
nothing fancy just useful af
Yeah I don't get it...
Oh then you good
its so funny
Thankfully they keep the anime to the box and not the iems
Unless there something else you want from an interface
Yep
Love em
Or just an audio mixer
i could imagine how bad itd look on the IEM themselves
Tbh they just look nice and I depending on which I get I can plug headphones + mic + iems into one interface
Resin cured anime character
Yeah thatās how I have mine
Everything into one interface
My iem package wasn't cringe š
Other than that me owning one would be pointless but I might get one eventually
Then I have a separate audio mixer
Mine was
But nothing needs to be plugged into that

Yeah simgot been pretty impressive nice packaging and iems
Mine didnāt either
Simgot is good
But I have the zero box somewhere lmao
idk if you guys know freshreviews, he's got a lot of good youtube videos about IEMs mostly gaming focused reviews
A lot of crossover between weebs and chifi enthusiasts
IT LOOKS SO GUDDDD
and a good tier list for high/mid end and budget buys
he has a collab IEM coming out soon actually that looks dope
Is there a difference between the red and blue one? Or is it just color
About Fresh Reviews & ZiiGaat About three years ago we went on a journey on the Fresh Reviews channel, the quest for the best audio for competitive gaming. It has been a joy ride, testing a laundry list of amazing IEMs, headphones, and collabs from other creators. Formulating the "wall hack certified tier list" was
slight tuning difference, and the reds come with an adapter to boost the bass
but very similar
I thought I'd be uncomfortable with iems as regular earbuds bother me a lot, but my zero reds are almost more comfortable for me than my hd599s
some people don't love having something in their ear for a while, but once you get used to it it's night and day comfort wise for me
esp if you get some eartips that fit, stock ones don't always fit everyone but I find the truthear ones are solid
Yeah it hurt after having them in for a bit before I used the right sized ear tips
yeah exactly
Once I found the right size they felt amazing though
Can wear them 10+h a day and still feel fine with them
same
the eartips my raptgos came with are similar to spinfit eartips, so they kind of move once they're seated in your eardrum
I like them
my hearing aids prepared me for this
LOL real
theyre soo comfy when you get them molded
Just tuning
You can get custom molded eartips they just dummy expensive
I just spent like $100 finding the best ones, but the best ones can change depending on the iem
I have divinus velvets which are pretty premium eartips but prefer my dunu S&S for my em6ls
Say that in any audiophile server and ur getting ripped up
I thought they were good didn't know they werentš¤·
It's sometimes good to be ignorant as to what's better, certainly helps the wallet
I mean if u donāt care about audio quality that much than sure
But their graph is
Alr??
guess what
kinda weird but i think you will like my board how it is rn after installing the gmks
(they feeel and sound like silents)
I think you need this
After installing idk why, but my alphas feel and sound like Silent Cherry MX reds but really smooth
ooh looks so much better now
the feeling of brand new keycaps
Theyāre not horrible, there just are better options for the same or lesser price generally. The dt 900 pro x is generally recommended over them, the dt 990s have the classic Beyer bump so thereās a random rise in the midsection, but theyāre still better than most āgamingā headsets
The dt 900 pro x is more expensive tho, Iād say the hd560s probably are a better buy overall tho for cheaper
The new Sennheiser hd490 pro is getting really good reviews too
Honestly ur zero reds are better than those 990s
Just another W for the zeros
Anime myself
I love em, they fit nice, i can wear these all day (have been)
Bro got the anime mullet
lel
Same
Literally so comfortable even after 10+h wearing them
literallyyyyy
Yeah bro
Your switch tape mod is OP
i could say i dont notice them some time, but i do be doing quite alot of moving around so i do notice them
Yeah they fit very nice
hehehe
I use them for bike rides with apples dongle
Zeros are big boys, I don't find them as comfortable as other iems
I honestly just wish Apple brought back their headphone jacks ;-;
Phones in general should bring it back
Yeah
(I don't use iPhones)
In tofu 60 redux case should you use the middle screw
Im not trying to charge my headphones lmao
I heard some ppl do and some don't pros and cons?
For the brass weight?
Y
I would
But why does it make it better?
Idk it just feels wrong to not screw in the loose piece
As an owner of DT990s from years back, do not get them
Will do, going to look elsewhere when I'm in the market for some new headphones
DT770 Pros are good
Well if you say so
For headphones id want open back
IEMs are in a really good place rn and have a lot of really good audio quality budget options
My hd599s definitely made me enjoy open backs for headphones
Iems wise I'll probably stick with my zeros tbh
Was thinking about getting a Sony phone for the headphone jack and camera, but not sure I want the downsides of being not on samsung
I've got a pixel 6
good product promotion id say
Cameras pretty decent but mostly from AI stuff
HD 490 Pros or 560s are good open backs
It can get funky sometimes and make photos look unrealistic as hell though
I took a picture of a waterfall and it looks straight up AI generated
Let me find it
These were just taken on my phone but it's AI camera shit went wild
Gonna be going back there sometime in July
interesting
looks like a wasp
The kid walking up?
yea
damn wth that looks so cinematic
Ikr lol
It was at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado
Taken with muh iPhone 14 Pro
I guess I could probably use this
since I sitll have an iphone x
Ai made phone cameras absolutely crazy good
and lightning cable
me with my samsung lel
Id love an s24 ultra for the camera but IDC to upgrade my phone
My pixel 6 is more than enough
They don't sell em in NZ
Hmm do i need black pc plate?
Yes
Looks so much better than white plate
Get you a translucent PC plate
o yeaaa
Yes
But I might get a different plate if I use a diff case and you could just have mine
who wants a discount on backspace
?
you have a black?
Woah were you up close with those
Yeah just like 10-15 ft away maybe
or similar
Yes
And white
White came with module. I bought black later when it came out
Iām trying to give white away with 60HE/redux bundle tho
š š„¹
@harsh dove were you amplifying the 990s?
is there a noticeable difference between the tofu 60 redux and the wooting alumaze60?
its just that the alumaze costs twice as much and ive heard a lot of good things about the tofu
Yeah
Thatās weird then. I have a pair with a good amplifier and mine sound fantastic. Some of the best cans Iāve used. Way better than my SteelSeries arctis nova pros
It doesnāt cost twice as much after shipping and if you get the brass weight itās about the same price
Just a personal preference thing really, the audiophile discords hate them tho lol
Is tape modding the space bar ruin the actuation
If you donāt have a problem with them then donāt look for one lol
Discord people hating things? Whoās ever heard of such a thing. lol
Ok good bc the space bar is very loud but the rest of the keyboard sounds better than my modded rk61
lol they mainly just say that they have a high treble and weird peaks
oh okay
And complain that theyāre marketed as studio headphones and they arenāt
they also say it has muddy bass
They definitely arenāt studio quality.
I can agree to that personally
All our ears are different, itās the same thing with keyboards, a lot of it is personal preference, and a lot of it is diminishing returns
Especially with the current market
i just opened a switch and lost the spring
Gg
i took a switch from my sisters kb and took its spring dw
Ok Iāll stop worrying. Thanks for update
thank u for not worrying about my sprind anymore
My pleasure.
tofu with weight much better
unles you love the look of the alumaze of course
My horror.
That's the thing you gotta compare them to other audiophile headphones
You can't compare when you have no reference for what "good" is
Do you realize how much real audiophile headphones cost?
I do. I was saying they are good for what they are. Not amazing, not the best. Good.
Yeah and they're better options for the same price you just haven't tried them š¤·
Ok. And. All I said is they were good.
Ok then @uneven cradle what do you recommend ?
HD599s, HD560s, HD58X, HD6XX, TYGR 300R, AKG K702, if you were open to iems the simgot supermix 4s
Iām curious about iems but comfort seems to be a constant issue from what Iāve read.
I thought the same but managed to find some comfy eartips eventually
@stray tiger
experimenting is all part of the fun
I have funky shaped ear holes.
How they feeling though
Nice thanks for that Cam
Yeah gareron HE seems pretty consistent
Need a HE oil king now
Maybe I should shout that in gateron discord
Dual rail jades may be smoother
(Jademaxxing)
Jadeglazing
š
Iām not really too piqued about dual rail jades but Iāll try em probs
Right
Iām ready for new stuffā¦
Are the Ks-20U still good compared to other switches right now?
Yeah I like em
I donāt use em but I like em
Basically just a more stable lekker
Sounds the same
Yeah opaque nylon top and bottom housing
If the v2ās are more or just as stable they not be as good of a value
I want someone to try non-POM stem but maybe thatās not the move idk
Curious to see how the v2ās turn out cause of that
?
Yes the alumaze to me sounds hollow and metallic and the tofu to me sounds fuller and more poppy. I also prefer the simplistic look of the tofu rather than almost busy looking alumaze
Anyone ever try a resin case? I know they exist but I never see anyone use them
There's no resin case for the he but there is a frosted polycarbonate case from kdbfans
It sounds the exact same as a tofu60 redux but maybe a bit more poppy
Wonāt any 60% case work as long as the usb port lines up?
Some may but i would suggest using one designed for wooting
Tofu60 redux and alumaze are common choices
this dude has #1123846803859709983 message
Has what? Says unknown
Click on it
Woah is that real I had no idea there were resin cases for 60he
Oh nice. The mojo60 is one of the ones Iāve heard of
Prolly super rare tho
Yeah Melgeek known for doing some differnt stuff with cases
If you don't mind me asking tho why don't you want a normal metal or plastic case
there's also the Hibi June which is made out of silicone, and you can bend it like the shape of a banana #1149670739860000851 message
That's kinda cool but tbh why virtually everything is inferior to a good metal or plastic case
yeah, I think I'd only ever try those materials(resign etc) if the cases were dirt cheap
24k Gold Plated and Chrome Plated cases
That sounds kinda cool
$500
Impractical but cool
Impractical and a waste but cool
Are black jades better than normal jades?
Yeah at that price Id just get an entirely better keyboard
Even if it was 150 I would honestly still just get an aluminum
Fingerprint magnet š
Just like a Rolex a little too flashy
Highest I'd go is frog mini
Geon certified 60% hater. Frog mini is dead and F2-60 in limbo
Thank you sir.
How they sound at least
Thatās awful performance of course but yeah
I'll say they don't sound terrible but not a fan
like clacky lekkers
tolerances were solid tho
They're open bottom so I feel like they don't have that fullness sound to them
do keycaps make a difference for the sound? im new to all of this š
Yes they do. It all depends what they are made of
oh alright
i really just want some nice sounding purple ones
@harsh dove have you ever tried Awekeys?
Youāre better off finding a material that you like the sound of and then finding keycaps made of that material that come in purple.
the stock wooting ones are double shot pbt right?

This is after calibration on the latest firmware?
#š§ākeyboard_modding message our Flames are similar but the mistrals are not. 0.5mm difference, between yours and mine which is insane, worse than the difference between Raptors.
Yes
Yeah I noticed
and yeah latest firmware
For people talking about headphones earlier
Not the best but thatās a good deal
That's super solid
Terrible tolerances then. š
I was referring to stem tolerance but yeah lol
I know
Hey I'm looking for ISO FR PBT keycaps, may someone help me with those? Just normal black ones, if possible which let the light go through the letters
Im saying earlier when I said tolerances were good, I was referring to the stem/housing tolerance
What do you all think is the best sounding HE switch
I like jades/dashes the most
Too bad they can't thock
Whatever magic the second one is.
Haven't heard anything but lekkers in person but I love how lavenders sound
That second one sounds amazing
Lekker v2?
Best sounding combination Iāve heard so far for HE switches.
Yeah.
Nope, not entirely sure.
Lekkers v2 probably won't such much different at all
Less rattly maybe
Huh I heard v2 is the quietest he switch
Lavenders kinda don't sound as good as jades to me
I prefer them over jades
I think it was misinterpreted and meant to be more quiet than, rather than the quietest.
Ig that's preference but jades sound more balanced to me
I can bearly type lol I'm deadlifting
He didnāt want to share, then sort of shared that it was Kailh with Zero Degree top housing but Iām not sure.
gatekeeping switches is crazy
LOL
Maybe itās unreleased? If not gatekeeping tech is really crazy.
fr
True
MY Switches

Gotta be like SmƩagol with the switch knowledge

On Sale, grabbin some for a friend for his Bday
Thatās nice
Man people always just say the randomest stuff
Just cuz they heard it somewhere lol
Crazy
Yeah solid
990s are ear piercer 9000s
Yeah 770s are good
Just an 8k Treble Peak, no biggie
Saw a review saying the maxwells from audzee are the new standard for wireless headphones
Yeah I would say those are probably the best
Itās a fairly proper gaming headset and music listening headphones
Yeah I'd say they err more on the side of music but they are definitely good
hello, just wondering if that list from back in May had a new up to date version for compatible switches
if not just wanting to put in here that i tested the Kalih Sakura pink and does not work
Should be up to date thockfather updates it all the time if needed
ah okay thank you!
got my hands on the kalih sakura pink and tried to see if it would work, but yeah didn't work on mine
Did we ever end up getting an eta on the PBTFANS X-Ray set?
Glad I could reuse the Gpbt keycaps
In-stock sale: July 19th 2024
nvm i answered my question by checking the site
(ļ¼āøį)ᓳᓼˢᓓ
š¤
not yet
Where the soundtest at
still need new switches
With those new keycaps ;))
tmr
its, well-
quiet
i think i made a silent Wooting board
;-;
i think its bc the foam is just to adjust the sound acoustic to how you like, not like "dampen dampen"
Im using polyfill and the silicone pad in mine
only thing i got in there
Depends what foam Iād say
Stabs got a few issues, working on it
I used kilmat as the case foam once with the moleskin tape
It was very muted
I didnt like it
actually everything got issues in my board, im trying to figure it out, i might take everything apart and rebuild it from scratch
might as well also test out the 3 configs with the pads
Funny cause Iāve been using my keyboard while missing my enter key stabs for a whole year
Too lazy to tune the stock wooting stabs š¢
They feel good too?
nah
what you expect
tray/top mount? wtv is it
idk what kind of mount these boards be calling
but im using it cus of the akko switches,
Yo maybe I keep redux then get that new silicone pad mount and have you switch tape my switches?

what switches š
Im ngl I dont want to do switch tape mod ever again after redoing it like 3 times š
It would be sweet to make them quieter but idk if it would work
The tolerances for stem already pretty minimal. Idk maybe sweet
I could try it I guess lol
šµāš«šµāš«šµāš«
damn I did it once to make me not do it ever again lol
I think it was worth it..coming from a teenager with too much free time on their hands
The switches feel pretty normal after you break the switch tape mod in
i'll just wait to check the new jades, perhaps they don't need it at all
Will upgrade switches in the very far far far future
I dont think they need stm
But you could try one layer and see how different it sounds
they arent out yet
im talking about the dual rail ones
Oh wth they got dual rails now
yeah they will be called Jades Mini N
there are Mini E already, but not compatible with woot
Since the dual rails are basically meant to remove most of the wobble
Then yeah you will not need stm lol
Would be just an optional thing
Time to lube my work keyboard
I got these silent wuque tactile switches but man they feel like trash, I ain't sure if lubing can save them
deep fry them in lube
or marinate them
There was a thread on r/mecahnicalkeyboards a while back saying what your most disappointing thing you've owned in the hobby were and they were near the top
Can you guys help me with my stuff is not letting me conet my keyboard and is saying that there is no device found
??
Can someone explain to me why o'ring make the keyboard laggy? Like deactivating the switch, or just some weird bugs, like on-off-on-off really quickly the switch?
oring where exactly?
Like, on the keycaps
maybe it reduces the travel distance and the switch doesnt bottom out properly
But that's the point of this keyboard, no need to bottom out
I just don't understand why it makes it unusable
https://www.reddit.com/r/WootingKB/comments/15r6amu/wooting_o_ring_mod/
I'm not the only one who has the problem
tbh I don't see a point in putting orings on keycaps š
but not sure exactly why it messes it up
the keyboard still measures the distance to the magnet in relation to when it bottoms out
so it might mess with that
For the sound and the feedback while typing
I think it's more like a compatibility with rapid trigger
Like, "bouncing" and rapid trigger detect this "bouce" as a release of the key
Maybe
could be that, especially if you set rapid trigger to the lowest sensitivity
I did, for performances
But to fix that, i need to set it at the same size at the oring
Like 2mm oring? 2mm rapid trigger
Anyway, i should just look at stuff that reproduce oring without being oring
what kind of keycaps you've got?
you might go for thick pbt keycaps, they usually are deeper sounding
Basic PBT keycpas
But i would go for some Keychron keycaps i think, soft feeling with them
@knotty iron I hope this channel is the right one to post this in. Thanks again for the tipp!
It isn't but that build is clean
I wouldn't do it anyways it will make your keyboard mushy
Nah not really, i tried, it was a soft touch sensation, i loved it, but as i said, that's make the keyboard laggy
Wooting relies on very small distances for analog and actuation so maybe
to me orings kill the tactile feedback of the switch, so its not worth making your wooting unusable over this
better just add extra lube to the switches and/or change the plate to a softer one to make it quieter overall
can confirm fastest way to ruin the typing feel of a keyboard and make it all mushy
Finally ordered some jade switches and new keycaps. I tried tape moddding but it seems 3 layers is a lot of stress on the usb-c port
@fluid ravine These are for you. You can do anything you want to do in this life bro
Death note
guys help me.. this is what i did to my lekker switch (ik its a sticker)
omg is that a deathadder v3 pro modified?
More!!
oh no
Edible
its a pulsar š
Oh my days the camera work, i swear
Cant wait for my new webcam to come in Wednesday
thats why the bottom was eaten up by pulsar, but what pulsar is that? the xheavy?
Its gonna be 80he ready
He bought it during father day
sus...
Neo lavenders

(i need them so bad right now)
Anyone know any good translucent black keycaps?
You want like Polycarbonate Black Keycaps?
Like something like this for example?
Yeah like something similar to the 80he ghost
Ah, honestly only ones i know of is from Akko
I think Iāve seen the akkos they look a little glossy I ideally want something a little more matte to the touch
The black transparent full-set keycap set comes in OSA profile and engineers black transparent material and stylish yellow legends that aim to bring a unique vibe to your desk setup and a fantastic backlight shine-through effect. This black transparent full set keycap has all the keycaps you need for ANSI layout Q0, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7, Q...
yeah its bc they're made out of polycarbonate
This is made of ABS transparent material
$25
ĀÆ_(ć)_/ĀÆ
But it's OSA, idk if you want that or not
OSA is taller right?
Oh i see OSA is just more rounded where as Oem is rigid in edges
yea
That wouldnāt be too bad but Iām after transparent black blanks Akko and what you sent are probably my only options
mmm
What set is the first picture you sent? The blanks
No clue, just looked at Google lol
Ok, Iāll prob just look up some stuff as well, what are some reputable brands/sites I know nothing about caps
https://www.alexotos.com/keyboard-vendor-list/ This is a vendor list for what region you're at
Yup Np
I change my keycaps to pbt, simple, I like it mauve a aluminium case for better look
DAMN
quick question, how much optimum tech do you watch
then whats dcx profile?
it's similar to Cherry
oh ok
DCX is a competitor to GMK
whats gmk?
;-;
GMK is like the premium brand of keycaps
It's what you would see everywhere when it comes to expensive keycaps
they're double shot ABS keycaps, what makes them special is the high quality material and colors they provide
thats why it costs half the price of an wooting 60he?
DCX is from drop, and from what others experience, DCX is really close to GMK and they sound just about 95% of it and a are a bit heavier
yeah
id rather go for dye sub pbt
yeah its all preference and budget
but how does that work unlike doubleshot?
yes.
Well i dont have a lot of knowledge into keycaps but dye sub is when legends are printed through heat and dye
Double shot is where the legends is mold physically into the keycaps which never comes off
idk lol
just like my costar stabilized huntsman v2 tkl
they have those type of keycaps
yeah doubleshot
Doubleshot PBT and Doubleshot ABS is different based off of the materials being used
Keycaps are the face of any keyboard and are one of the more impactful factors on sound, feel, look, and the overall experience of the board. These little rectangles pack in a tremendous amount of choice and consideration, so itās important to understand the various factors before choosing how to ou

thanks CAM

my embed isnt working
waiting for the chat to reveive...
ded chat xd
Yo thatās all I need right? @harsh dove @median spade
Then have Tom do custom plate?
Or anyone else who built in a frog mini lol
should be it for a build
yeah that's it
Yeah
oh boi
gl
Ty ty
I think Iāll just dump the Wooting in a redux for like $200
Damn I almost forgot I already ordered that psd60 gasket case

Drill holes in plate
Just got this in at work.
1862 Enfield Tower Musket
Yeah not sure if I should drill or return lol
What do you do for work??
musket
If you can make a 3d printed mouse you can drill holes
Ok bought frog and sold 60HE in redux
Thatās good
That look right?
My eyes are glazing over looking at that
They donāt have black nylon so I think Iāll go black PP
although itās softer than Iād like I think
No, Pulsar Xlite V3
All of it, even in his Discord lol
Guess I have to choose between screw in or plate mount or get 2 plates
šµāš«
And do I need counter sunk holes and kit?
anyone used all metal keycaps before and can vouch its good or nah
Yes
Ty
No aluminum is sad
I feel like I might end up buying that one later. Also maybe nylon tho š
Ordered.
Black PP plate mount
Hope it works

nice, good move
Can someone download a YT for me?
Yeet Tomato š
Don't have access to my PC atm
š
Pretty please
I accidentally orderd long pole switches with regular stabs do u think there will be a problem?
no
if you hit the ends, yes, if middle, no
Problems really only occur in that situation when you have keycaps with loose tolerances, which is more common with cheap keycaps.
It also typically happens on the spacebar when you press either end of the spacebar and it can pop off the stem. To resolve this you can put tiny silicone o rings on the stab stems or get long pole stabilizers.
Plenty of people including myself use ālong poleā switches with standard stabs without issue
How long can factory lube last? I already have my Jades but no module to put them on, so they're just sitting there in the box. I haven't opened the package yet though.
The module will arrive late July early August so I was wondering if I should get some lube as well in case they wear out or smtn
Lube last quite awhile but I personally lube all my switches cause the springs suck
Springs are always dry
I see
I shouldnāt say they suck
Theyāre just always dry
So lubing the springs would be my #1 recommendation
I'm dreading having to lube switches again when I get lavenders
Well the stem and housing lube is fine if you wanna ignore that
Just lube the springs at least
I'll see if I can add the lube stuff to my order
no reason not to other than laziness tbh
can i just open all the switches and bag lube all the springs
and leave the rest of the switch how it is prelubed
Yep
My only other recommendation if not bothering with factory lube would be to at least lube the top housing where the side rails hit the top
Helps kinda reduce that top out sound and imo makes it cleaner sounding
alr cool
so i dont have to spend as much time
hopefully i dont lose one of these springs again
Iām going to have to get new keycaps at some point
Really hope I can score a metalkeyboards alu set
Bunch of IEM tips? Lol
Yeah and some new IEMs I been wanting to try out
Got em on sale
And the tips were bundled with it
Oh nice
i bought the tx ap plate mount stabs and when i put them in, my spacebar sticks. is there something i did wrong? kinda new in keyboards but if you guys have any tips i would appreciate it
those the dunu S&S tips? those are what I'm using atm
thinking of getting the mega5est but my spending money is tied up in keyboards for a bit
Yeah and the Final Audio tips (Multi Kit)
those dunu tips are the only ones that sound good for me with the em6l
Yeah figured Iād get multiple just to see and also for my other IEMs
they're pretty unique though, lots of people dislike them
Yeah more of a longer square shape
what iems u got?
So pretty
those em6ls
Yeah
a good buy those, insane price/performance
Lmk
Only IEM im remotely interested in TBH
But even then I really shouldnāt do the in the ear thing
Are akko keycaps cheap?
this is a known issue with the tolerances of the wooting plates and the ap stabs
I tried these. They are ok.
the page is probably the plates for wooting, and below you select custom case other > frog mini
Seems on the lower end but I haven't tried those myself tbh
I like the Senn IE300s, never had any personal issues with em, get different tips for em tho
Yea they are
Sorry for my absence gents. Was in vacation for 10days and trying to get caught up. Also, I bought a new truck so that's been fun.
Oh my days-
All good Pops, hope you had a great vaca, what truck did you get?
Damn, new truck? Nice!
Big trucks for big daddy's
Just a mid size truck. No need for a full size lol
Gotta build a matching 60he nowš¤·
Cleannn
Our goat holeh
Picked the Terrorist Tan color
Best color tbh
I wanted a Tacoma honestly but two things
- New Tacoma's are horrible. It's bad, real bad.
- Old Tacoma's which are great would cost me more than a new a Colorado
Valid
My 2018 wrx is a garage princess with 19k miles
Since going wfh with occasional office in 2019 and then covid hit

New turbo engine is garbage. Already tons of recalls and you can't get the old engine. Now manufactured in Mexico and QC issues are everywhere. CEO resigned recently. Oh and the best part, a base model with no upgrades start at $45k
45k????????
Wow
Wtf
Nuff said, lmao
Just YouTube "new Tacoma's not selling"
alr
Sales are down 60% on Tacoma's
that mid sized truck still a big ass truck by anywhere outside of the US standards
real haha
That's true. It's larger than my jeep.
theres no "but"s around here
my oh my
I miss when midsize trucks weren't full sized trucks of past..............
Yeah Tacoma's were the midsize truck to buy, but not anymore. I have no idea if the Colorado will hold up like a the prior gen Tacoma's, I doubt it will, but we shall see.
Well there is still the Ford Maverick I guess
yeah but imagine driving a ford

The F150 is the full size what Tacoma's were to midsize though
Well.. they weren't thinking
F150 has been the best selling truck for like 15yrs or something
Idk, like some of the latest cars got some weird head and back lights...
take notes peeps
Raptor the only one I like
But Chevy did pretty good keeping up with them
Hope you had a nice break! I love those big ass trucks. I parked next to a RAM 1500(?) few weeks ago and my hatchback looked like a mushroom, so massive and imposing. It even managed to block the sun
Thanks, went fishing for 10 days in the mountains. Caught some good ones!
dude this part is just
damn that camera work
What kind of fish is that?
Salmo trutta (Brown Trout)
does it taste good
trouts pretty good, we got rainbow trout here
woa
Check out this rainbow trout from two days ago. Turn the volume up
damn that's a good one
Are there any aligators or crocs there?
No, they fresh water rivers and no alligators in UT
Oh and are yall allowed to take em fishy home?
ah i see
We just catch and release.
o lol
This will explain it. https://youtu.be/UE6GrJr6oVg?si=QYUTMVFujuj26vSM
Funny. I do not claim to be the owner of this video, I do not know its origin, no copyright infringement intended. It's just too good not to share :)
So you're saying I'd mostly be fine?
Because I orderd Wuque Dash HE switches and TX Ap stabs
Big ol trout
I'm just questioning like would the long pole switch just not be able to bottom out?
Or would it be the stabs that wouldn't bottom out
I didn't have any issues with my jades and the normal stabs
So what happens with cases like those
That's all I'm wondering
Like why are long pole stabs a thing if they work fine with regular
I love yalls reactions lmao
Thas a big fish
Reminds me of when i was a kid and with my makeshift boy scouts rod i caught a decent sized bass with it on a trip with my dad
Yeah
Wait @harsh dove
I'm just wondering what long poles even do
Cause they don't always work fine
Are some switches just too long?
Well Closed Bottom HE Switches aren't really long pole, they just have a closed bottom that reduces the travel distance, the stem is the same size as a regular open bottom HE switch
Oh and that's why they work just fine?
I wouldn't have a higher bottom out or somthing?
No, you still do
It really just comes down to your keycaps tolerance, you'll most likely be fine
So if I had the choice to return and get a lubed and balanced pair of long pole what would be the final verdict
With long poles you're just guaranteed to not have issues pretty much, whereas with standard there's a small chance you have a tolerance issue with the keycaps and Jades/Dashes, but it's a small chance
Ig its all dependent on the keycaps
and if you ever want to swap to a different HE switch that's open bottom then you can't use the long poles
Basically just tryna save you money from buying long poles before you know if you even have issues with your regular stabs
Oh well they are already coming in
They said if it has problems
Then return and they will send me lp
havent tried it yet but I was searching through the discord and found that it might be a little bit better
if I understand correctly they fit more inside the keycap so it doesn't angle the keycap if you press hard on the ends of it
Only a problem with cheapo keycaps usually
Does tape modding effect the keyboard
Yes, creates a "poppier" sound
Nah
Last thing should I do tape and extra foam or just tape and how many layers of tape
get Truthear Zero's, Reds or OGs
Good morning boys and germs, how's everyone doing?
I think you missed the point lol
yeah
they're not even a good IEM
overpriced Sennheiser garbage
cable goes bad too
for $50 you can have an amazing IEM experience
KZ ZS10 pro X are a really good option for the price
Cuz I donāt really care about IEMās like that
Just wanted to try those ones is all
Iām not trying to valuemax
š
@polar girder go for KZ ZS10 pro or pro X, you willl not be disapointed
Does wooting two he have cases I can switch it into ?
no
Damn
a german company investigated an alu case and they did a rough estimate of around 300eur for the case
Wow
has never been produced and thus the real price is unknown for a third party case for the 2he
reason for the high price is mainly that such cases could only ever be used with a 2he and nothing else.
and is that a blank ready to be customized case or would that be a customized case/
I think if anyone is buying a two HE or 80HE and expecting the case options of the 60HE you are barking up the wrong tree
Companies rarely make cases to fit other companiesā keyboards. They can just make their own boards
Can you tell me the top modification for the Wooting 60HE+?
lol funny I never asked for IEM recommendation but thanks anyway
Case swap, new switches, keycaps
Easiest things you can do to completely change the look and feel

Can you write down the names of the best ones for me?
I can list some of the popular options but in the end its all preference
Cases that I know of are stuff like the tofu redux, alumaze, salvation, fjell. There's a list somewhere with compatible cases which shows much more
Switches still don't have many good options
Gateron jades, neo lavenders, geon raptors are all I know of tbh
Keycaps find them yourself
Can you please explain what program this is? Are you just somehow measuring the progress of the switch itself?
Wooting Analog Monitor
Using it to test actuation distance of different switches with different magnets
is the 60+module not compatible with the protagonist 60wk? dont see it on the list
Thank you! it turns out kailh mistral will not work normally on wooting, right?
Correct
Magnets are too weak sadly.
No it is not
You can still use them but itās not optimal
Protag has a daughter board
Why do people modding, because they don't like the sound?
or looks
that too
what does a daughterboard mean?
Sound, feel, looks. Otherwise you don't need fo
It's just a second board usually for the USBC port
like a very specific pcb?
It's not directly on the main pcb
hmm i see thank you
They make unified daughterboard that can be used on a lot of PCBs but Wooting60HE PCB does not use one
The 2he uses a daughter board doesn't it?
Never actually seen what the 2he pcb looks like even
so yea i wouldnt be able to charge it basically cause it would be blocked
or connect i mean
Yeah for the 60he you need cases with USBC ports that line up properly
Yeah the Protag has a centered USB Port '
Whereas the Wooting60HE has Left Side USB Port
I have a question. Iām about to plate swap and switch my lekkers to jades. Do I unscrew the plate from the pcb and then pop the new jades into the plate and then screw the pcb back together or do I screw the pcb back together and then pop the switches in?
Normally with hotswap boards you donāt have to screw the plate and pcb together. The switches hold it together
Either works
If you are going PC plate I'd do it when it's all screwed back together
As the PC plates flex can be annoying to put switches in on its own
Got a custom POM
this counts as modding right?
The Wooden Wooting
the stock foam didnāt fit in the case but iām gonna try to get some thinner foam to put in there
If it's quite flexible putting switches in while it's all screwed together would likely be easier
