It wasnt cheap though, was $116 for fake lol

isn't pbt keycaps better than abs, correct me if im wrong
PBT is better for how quickly the keycaps can start to shine but the color vibrancy, legend quality are better on GMK ABS keycaps. Personally for me I prefer the sound and feel of ABS keycaps but I do have some PBT sets I love. That part is preference.
Plus, like I said, I know the designer personally so I would encourage you to buy authentic if you love the design so that youre supporting the original designer.
I'm thinking about getting the Poseidon PSD60 case, does it work with the 60HE+? and is there anything I need to buy to put it on, im new to modding lol
Yes it works with the 60HE
Dreams do come true
This guy has Kaiju on a board streaming right now https://www.twitch.tv/bokehhbob
Keeb Chores, Topre, MX, DR70F rebuild | Custom Keeb Building | !build !commission !collection !affiliates
and I don't have to buy anything else to swap it right?
Right
thank youš
@harsh dove
have u heard this sound test?
Hey everyone, have had my 60he modded for a while, but been changing/modifying it so much I didn't feel like recording. I have it where I want it for the moment as HE is in a spot (personally) where you can only do so much and it still doesn't sound nearly as good or close to an MX board. The top out always has this "HE Rattle" as I've come to c...
kinda crazy good
dats me
sick build, what did u mean in ur description about lubing the top housing? where do u even lube on the top housing LOL
the inside of the top housing where it contacts the stem
and is the custom pom plate rigid enough to not mess with the magnets? iām trying to recreate your sound but i donāt have a silicone insert with my case, just normal foam.
Yeah since you need to use standoffs anyways with the 60he
makes it just fine for rigidity
Just go with no plate dampening if you don't have the silicone.
i believe my pc plate came with the silicone insert? but the description mentions another silicone insert that came with the freebird
The module comes with a silicone insert. If you bought a pre-built 60HE is does not.
it's just case foam but silicone
for the freebird
Since thatās what they provide instead of poron
yea iām referring to the silicone insert for the case
i have a klippe t
Oh gotcha
klippe t just came with normal poron foam so i dont have the silicone one, but i have a pc plate and the silicone insert for the plate
Just a dumb question, thereās 60 switches only right on wootin?
depends on the board
but for the 60%
61 or 62, depending on layout
Can buy like 3mm silicone on Amazon and then just cut as needed
Random question Tent Euro
What CAM u using

eh heh-
Sony a6400 with sigma 56mm
I'm not funny
ah-
Oh
What do you usually use it for
Used to actually go and take pictures a lot
4k yeh?
As well back in the more involved keyboard days would shoot cool photos and make sound tests
Now donāt use it as much as got bored
Spammer alert
what made u choose the freebird over the fjell tenturo?
Everything sounds bad with 60he to me so I just chose the one that looks the best
Idk who told me to check out wired in but wanted to show them my cable
60he was pingy and hollow in fjell the worst of the bunch was surprising
none, get real keycaps
Hey guys I got the tofu redux case but I donāt have a screwdriver does anybody know what screwdriver I need
is this everything i need for switch lubing? and are those 5 grams enough for 60he?
The 5 grams is enough. Are you gonna lube your stabwires with 205g0 as well?
If not you need to buy some kind of grease
Like this:
Hi, which stabilizer do you recommend for normal 60he wooting?
i cant lube stabs unfortunately cause i already tried solving that problem but my pcs and pc plate has a screw broken so i cant pull them apart
Oh yeah I remember now. If that's the case, what you posted is all you need
I would not give up on separating them tho. I'd take it to someone who knows what they are doing if you are not able to do it yourself
Turning switches 180° is no issue right? I was confused when I realized the ISO 60he return key switch is facing west (Led window) and the ISO Lekker Edition is facing east. No idea why, I didnt ever touch those.
Are the new lekker springs compatible with the Gateron Jade switches?
yea not an issue
as long as you don't turn it by 90 degrees and break the LED with a switch leg (seen that being done before
)
Yes
Didnt plan on doing that. š
Still, I need to remember that detail about the one turned switch when replacing all switches.
Also, can you tell me why it is safer to disassemble the plate from the pcb to replace all switches? At least they say so in a Wooting video.
I see no issues grabbing the switch with a switch puller while assembled?
It's "safer" because it requires much less force to pull out the switch if they are disassembled
Ive done it too many times
i even banged up my steel plate
LOL
I am very lucky it was just the switches and the steel plate's Paint only came off
Did you hammer your switches in?
Yo; you all pull your switches out to swap plate foam of leave switches in and just take the entire plate off ?
Is there any way to get those pcs screws that hold pc plate and pcb together cause i have one stuck with broken head but i dont have a replacement one so i cant pull those 2 part apart and lube my stabs and ect.
and i havenāt seen them being included in my 60he module box
Take pcb off and lay foam in
Much easier
No but i nearly made my entire poly carb go into a full snap
But the steel plate is good
Besides the
Paint chip
I can see why the first method is not recommended for the HE switches
Yeah Iām just worried my switches arenāt fully seated
Screwing the pcb together takes care of that
Itās how I always change mods
I never take the switches out with pcb attached as itās arthritis city with the death grip HE stuff has
do the WS dashes work well with the wooting or is there inconsistencies like the sticky rice switch
they work
same as jade switches though from what iāve heard, so just get the jades.
they are cheaper
yeah they are the same switch the only difference is the purple stem.
have you tested them yourself?
there shouldnt be any differences as they are the exact same switch.
dashes have less wobble
Literally the same switch lol
Wuque Studio has literally said itās just a recolored stem
Lolololol
lol whatās with all this speculation that dashes are different
Nothing new as you guys are "newer" to the hobby
This is the email from WS
you should have seen 2020-2021 when everyone saying JWK switches were different
Only color is different
Like the only difference I heard in that video
is he has probably been using his jades and the lube thinned out, and it sounds like he overlubed the dashes
next people are going to say that mx reds and mx blacks are a different switch too
I mean I donāt blame people, thereās a lot of nuances in this hobby
tis the cycle of keyboards
"new" switch comes out, make sound test that goes viral in keyboard community, and everyone saying it's different
even though housing composition, stem, spring are same
General rule is "follow the money". Is someone getting paid to tell you their opinion or are they trying to justify money they spent?
That, and people thiink it sounds different
placebo
but auditory memory lasts like 8-12 seconds on average
It sounds different because you want it to sound different. Ive seen it a lot
Bingo
Hence what I said the other day
Best mod is to just tell yourself it sounds different
Sound tests just have to many variables too
it's why when I made mine it's as accurate as possible for my enviroment
So what people hear is what it sounds like to me at my desk in my room etc
Yeah, desk material, thickness, untreated rooms vs treated, mic quality, mic settings, desk pad, desk pad materials and thickness, size of the room theyāre in, list goes on forever
Too many variables for any single sound test to be an end all be all for anything
my keyboard would sound great if I wasnt using lekkers
im waiting for lekker V2s to release to the public before pulling the gun on any switch

Smart
on an unrelated note, I wonder if you can sharpen the tofu redux into a viable weapon
Am i fucked default 60he pcb, kbdfans tofu 60redux pc plate, the stabs are to small
Shouldnāt be using that plate anyways
Will cause sensor issues
You need one with standoffs for the pcb
š
Yeah I donāt believe that plate is compatible
Just use the one that came with your 60he for the moment
Yess
The tofu redux does double as a weapon indeed
anyone know of some nice orange keycaps cherry profile?
can be anything with some orange in it
Keykobo motel
it's abs btw
If you want a sweet ass deal try these. Look awesome in person - https://novelkeys.com/collections/dyesub-pbt/products/cherry-ember
dunno if it's of interest to anyone here, but stumbled on this pic while looking into other switches:
https://twitter.com/283sann/status/1781622297734050292?t=WoteWnwbkmEObqPGKKO6kw&s=19
black card on the side says Magnetic Jade Mint Switch N, and says either 30gf or 36gf (can't tell because blurry)
so a lighter jade variant
Guys does somebody know if the KAM Superuser Int-North are ever anywhere in stock?
Iāve never seen them
for sure, thanks
Itās the type of plastic. Lots of people donāt like the sound and feel of abs. I prefer PBT as well
I wouldnāt go as far as to say lots of people donāt like ABS
Itās really personal preference
Plenty of people like ABS, myself included
Over PBT
Im in the camp of preferring sound and feel of ABS over PBT the majority of the time but it does depend on the board and your sound preference / goal
That is completely true. I just said that in current time lots of people seem to prefer really deep thock
But it can obviously be my bubble only
sure
Keycaps are the face of any keyboard and are one of the more impactful factors on sound, feel, look, and the overall experience of the board. These little rectangles pack in a tremendous amount of choice and consideration, so itās important to understand the various factors before choosing how to ou
so these here are pbt ^?
You can skip to Keycap Materials or read through its entirety, as it is a very informative read.
You said you are looking for a spacebar ? The size of the wiring is 6.25
Be careful to get the correct size š Happened to me already
i could use a whole set
alright ty
yes
I would add to the PBT vs ABS that buying ācheapā PBT sets is in my opinion safer than ācheapā ABS. I agree that GMK Abs for example does sound great
But cheap ones can be really, really crappy, imo easier than Dyesub PbT
i see
i just need something to use for now, im sure eventually ill get more into it.

The ones I linked you are quality PBT and will last for years and the price cant be beat. Its a steal of a set
Agree
perfect
Im a bit bummed now lol. I forgot ordering switches with my module š
And then ordered them 2 days later and now they are stuck in customs and I have a board + case but no switches lol
Does the tofu 60 redux fit in the wooting 60% travel case
i bought the qk65 v2 with the HE board but i feel like the lavender switches that come with them are just a recolored jade
hey, quick question. If i am building a 60he module, i just need to purchase a case, switches and keycaps right? or is there other things i need to purchase to fully assemble the board.
Yes, itās a bit to short tho, still works really good
Iām planning to build a custom wooting 60he
I was planning on getting the sticky rice he switches cuz of the sound
But I heard ppl saying that it doesnāt work well with the wooting and its performance wouldnāt be good
Is this true?
Yes it is true, to put it shortly, those switches are no good
You can read more in our #šŖāmodding_faq
https://wooting.io/product/60he-pc-switch-plate?Layout=ANSI+Kit&Color=White this kit was included in the 60+ module right?
The PC Switch Plate is pre-installed on the Module, yes.
ok nice, ordering last needed things from wooting now and wanted to make sure
hopefully gonna build mine this weekend š„
Awesome!
Alright thxs, u just saved me some money
Ima get the dashes instead
Sweet, also check the price of Gateron Magnetic Jades as they may be cheaper
And theyāre the exact same switch
Just different stem color
Iād also check AliExpress too
Iām ordering off of milktooth and the dashes are a little cheaper there
i was looking into milktooth switches as well
I will look at other places as well
Yep, just go with whatever is cheapest
i wanted to get dashes but idk if jades are better
They the same
It will
even with wooting
Yes
ahh i see
and rapid trigger eveerything will still work?
are dashes going to hinder performance like the sticky rices?
no
do you have the link by a chance
okay tysm!
Of course!
I need to stop browsing this channel in my free time my wallet is going to end up hating me

I need to use AliExpress more. What is this? Free shipping and everything
chinese magic
"To negotiate the best possible price for our customers, we agree to hide prices prior to logging in"
gotta be the dumbest thing ive read today
So the only problem with dashes and jades is that the stabilizers could not work right?
Yes and no. There are workarounds if they fck up
Yeah ik
As long as they donāt have performance issues the like Everglades then Iām fine
Nah should be good
Alr
Just donāt wanna waste money yk
U think I need to line these switches and stabs on the 60 module
Or is the factory lube pretty good already
It's pretty good but I lubed mine just because I wanted the sound to be more consistent through each switch. Absolutely not needed tho
Yeah I have summer break soon
Ima build it first
And if I want to Iāll just lube them
Hi guys
I just lubed my switches but now when Iām trying to assemble them some of the switchesā stem sit lower than others. Why is that?
They should all sit evenly, make sure you have the stems orientated correctly in the bottom housing
I made a post in support u can see pics
Thereās a tiny little notch on one side of the stem that needs to line up with the bottom housing
They arent
if ths stem doesnt move up and down then you assembled the switch incorrectly. open it back up and trun the stem around.
what makes u say that?
Because they arent. Different manufacturer, different specs
why so cheap
Because itās aliexprsss
not that much cheap actually
How can I know if overlubed my switches; I think I may have done that and if I did, does it affect performance at all?
If they feel super mushy when typing or return slowly
Performance should be okay unless itās so mushy that they get stuck
I canāt really tell if they feel mushy or not this is my first time lubing and I accidentally used the bigger brush so thatās why I probably applied so much but itās not getting stuck or anything
what keycaps do you guys use?
Well you can keep using it as is and the lube will break in over time
Or if you feel itās too much and doesnāt feel good when typing then you can wipe the lube off and reapply or just wipe off a little bit to remove some of the lube and put your switches back together
Thereās plenty of options, it really depends on what youāre going for with your build. I prefer GMK ABS but there are some really nice PBT brands out there too
Okay I think Iām just gonna keep it, it feels fine just a tad bit slower than no Lube but maybe thatās just a sound placebo
Thanks for the info tho š
Anyone have good recommendations for spring weight to swap into my jades if I'm using cerakeys?
Iirc people didnāt have too many issues with stock jade springs with cerakeys, but the ones who did I believe swapped to L60 springs or 60g springs
Mainly on the spacebar and possibly on stabilizer keys
$34 p cheap
60g should be fine
Is the Gateron jade switch worth it?
If youāre using lekkers and want a different sound/feel, then sure
is the factory lube on the jades good or do I need to relube them?
My batch was really good personally but ymmv
I hand lubed mine after a couple weeks - a month of use
Lubing the top housing is worth it to me
Ok I will see and thanks for answering my questions
Yeah of course
Man my o-ring keeps sneaking in my backspace stab and itās stuck
Small or medium ring
Weird
Didnt you install the o-ring on the inside of your stabilizer?
So guys Iām trying to take out my wooting to put in a new case I got every srew out besides the left one and it wonāt come out and I used the same screw for the rest
Yeah heās the one, get him!
Hey guys, any good keycap reccomendations for the wooting 60he?
If it's starting to strip the head of the screw, double check that you're using the right size screwdriver (PH1 unless it's really stripped, then try PH2). Otherwise take a small piece of rubber band and cut it off and put it over the screw and try again. The rubber band will help the screwdriver maintain grip.
I recommend the keycaps you like best!
Do you know any good ones?
I just have the stock ones
my highgrounds didnt fit.... got fucked
The ones you like best are the best ones. Just stick to common sizes and MX stems.
The ph1 doesnāt even fit tho
also I put thejades in thock! no stem wobble for me
Take a pic of the screw
RIPPPPP
D:
damn you destroyed the fk out of that screw
wonder how you gonna get that shi out
Might be time to move to a PH2 now. Id still try the rubberband too. If you strip it even further you may need a screw extractor bit https://www.amazon.com/Gifts-Men-Damaged-Screw-Extractor/dp/B0BTNT4225/ref=sr_1_5
Is there a 3rd party 60HE+ plate that improves compatibility with Staebies because the stock steel plate doesn't seem to fit these stabs.
Not currently but you can ask someone to make you one OR (hear me out), dont use staebies since there are better stabs out there that actually work fine.
Any recomendations?
Swag keys Knight Stabs are currently killing it
Thanks I'll give those a try instead
Get em here if youre in the US https://novelkeys.com/products/swagkeys-knight-stabilizers
Don't get rattled by your stabilizers anymore! @stray tiger i got it but i could not get the spacebar screw back in but i got the rest in so i just lwft i t
Which case did you swap to?
Standard length is sold out unfortunatley
@stray tiger tofu redux baby blue
If youre using jades you can grab the long poles
Did you install the standoff for the spacebar screw? If not thats why you couldnt get that screw in
Would you say these are better than the stock ones?
Reviews have been positive but I personally love the stock stabs
@stray tiger no i got the screw out when i got the moduule out then i could not get it back in
but it is ok
I also think most stabs sound the same if lubed properly
yeah thats my thing too. I like them and see no reason to change unless something special comes up
Do you have any opinion on the swagkey vs the QMX and are both compatible with Jades?
Any are compatible with Jades. No opinion on which to get though.
Are qmx compatible with the stock plate?
You have the 60HE or 60HE+?
the +
Then yes
Awesome, Thanks.
But if you havent properly lubed and tuned your stock stabs Id start there first as they are quite good.
does changing from stock wooting case to alumaze60 case make big difference?
What brand of case does people recommend for the 60%?
Yes it does
Well, I know the compatibility. but not the question i asked. xD I was just asking what case brand people recommended.
I recommend the ones that are compatible on the list š
Its a very subjective question. Youll get 20 different answers. Check the list and then find one that you like and profit
Yea i expected the multiple answers, but i get it. Make it simple. Sometimes i like having multiple responses.
gg anyways.
lol the o-ring is on the outside of the entire PCB
But it like slipped through before and stayed in place and didnāt cause issues. But now itās going in there and backspace getting stuck down ā ļø
how are the stock stabs on the 60he+ module?
Of all the stabs out there they are one of em
What Size is the o-ring?
what stabs do u have?
May I ask why? im new to keyboard modding...
Module stock stabs
Yes you CAN gummy o-ring mount the new Wooting 60HE+ Module, but it means you're gonna need to switch to clip-in stabs. I used TX Stabs 6.24 1.6mm for this. Check out the full video with all the new Wooting options if you haven't already.
#customkeyboard #gamingkeyboard #wooting #module
Yeah not quite the same problem Iām having but appreciate the video
Was hoping to not have to swap them lol
I bought tx ap stabs but just realized theyāre clip-ins lol
clip in should work i guess
Yeah idk
Looks like basically same thing
I do like that these stabs are black tho š
did u already tried it with the tx ap stabs?
should def cut it ;D
I hope that the Wooting 80 HE is not as stiff as the 60 HE
the 60 had a metal plate i think. the 80 has a PC plate so it should be mor forgiving and with it being a bit larger it should have a slight amount bit flex than the smaller 60 HE
i have the module and so the PC plate but its still stiff
and i hope that the gasket mount makes the difference
Yeah so backspace isnāt part of PC plate isnāt supported at all
Both PCB mounted stabs donāt really
Looks like the plate mounted would tho
TX AP Plate Mount Stabilizers are kin25's adaptation of the clip-in stabilizers to a plate mount form. Following the "AP" or "Almost Perfect" feature list of a doubleshot stem to improve the fitment of the wire, reduce unwanted noise, and reduce wobble. TX AP Plate Mount Stabilizers Feature: Designed by kin25 Version:
This one, yeah?
Yeah cuz then Iāll have plate mount, screw in and clip for module
Plus o-ring mount is life
i also want to try the o-ring mount but i dont know if the felling/sound is that much better
Wait so what stabs specifically are you using for each modifiers
Stock module screw ins for all rn
Whats your plan though?
Like your solution to being able to gummy mount
So all clip ins and one plate mount (backspace)
Everything fine except backspace getting stuck
Yeah I think so
Only reason I replace stock screw ins with clip-ins is because theyāre black tho
NGL
and to get rid of the screw
I already have the clip-ins
But it wonāt solve the backspace problem
Id guess Pops wouldn't recommend in such way as he advise people to save money in some way for mods but I can't say much for him
anyone able to help a guy out who knows nothing at all abt modding but just got a wootingš„“
I got them cuz I thought it would remedy any potential issues before I bought module tho lolz
Just enjoy it for now lol

lmaoooo
Id help and advise but I'm abt to sleep
So uh yeah gn
Iām tempted to cut off piece of silicone pad to wrap around backspace
Cya bigsly
i got the HE two by mistake
Do it you won't
š«¶

am i screwd lol
š
lol why would you be screwed cuz you bought a sweet keyboard
like in terms of being able top mod it srry
Itās sweet
so nice but its huge
i low key wanna see if i can swap it bc i bought it for gaming
Swap what
60he
Oh gotcha
which is what i thought i ordered
lol
nahhh im never goinng back from the 1ms
Surprise
when did u ordered the wooting two he?
i got it yesterday
^
what stabs to buy? what are the top quality?
Theyāre good
the ones with your wooting are fine, unless you specifically prefer a different brand, but it'd be a sidegrade
https://youtu.be/tlPX6gYSxyU?si=uUGr--kiT8WZKa5x @silent abyss
The Wooting 60HE is a stiff keyboard, that we can agree. So, is there something you can do to change this? Sander tries out the burger mount mod for the Wooting 60HE to see if that makes a drastic change in feel, but also in sound.

Thanks man, will give this a look !
Np, if you have any questions hit me up
U think I need to lube them
I didnāt lube the screw-in stabs and they are good
If you think they are rattling you can still lube them tho
You might be better off with jades
Arenāt they the exact same switch?
Just different colored stems
Lord help me
My mind is fixated on these gmk retrowave caps
No wonder mfkas say keyboard building is an expensive hobby
$135 for some keycaps
My brain finds the Japanese Kanji and English Keycaps very pleasing
The neon pink is bright af
Apparently the aliexpress clones can't dye them to be as vibrant
I like bright pink
Here's my Ak skin in cs2
And my mouse
Thank you for coming to my show and tell
Well PBT in general canāt copy ABS because ABS has a larger color palette than PBT
So clones are always off
I see
So if I want brighter and more vibrant Keycaps, I should look into abs
And abs is more expensive than pbt I'm assuming
7g in grip tapes lol
and no just gmk is
because of the quality
The resin they use is one of the main costs
I see
Hahah I realized after buying the mouse that it fits very well in my palm but it's a sweat magnet
The grip tape was the only solution
XD
Yeah outside KBDfans, GMK, and DCX from drop most ABS is low quality
your gpx is now the superheavy
$135 is light work I was paid like $180+ for 8 of my sets back in the day
Ooof
I might just get the Kanji ones for $65
But it's an ass deal
Im mainly getting it for the neon pink
Oh just the alphas you mean
Yes
what foam yall use for modding? for tofu redux?
That's what I'm afraid of lol
If those bitches were like $70, I wouldve bought them
Why are akko keycaps only $40
Anyways I'll think about it
Buy once, cry once. If you don't get the set you want you will eventually and then you'll have wasted the initial money you spent.
Indeed
@stray tiger true. That's how I bought thr wooting in the first place šš
I didn't wanna drop $175 on a keyboard but I wouldn't have been as happy with another one
š
This is one of the reasons I love GMK https://clips.twitch.tv/ZanyEndearingBubbleteaJKanStyle-NMYKmXe7FC-tdHOH
Is the issue with jades and dashes only for the spacebar
Or is it with all the stabs
What issue?
The one in the modding faq channel
With the 3.5mm travel on the switches
And the 4mm travel on the stabs
@stray tiger hey I guess plate mount stab on backspace (and maybe space bar?) the way to go for o-ring/friction mount on module, huh?
I use plate mount for almost all of my o-ring builds.
If you have an issue with your specific keycaps it would affect all stabs.
What are some long pole stabs do u guys rec

Got it. Yeah makes sense. Thank you.
Thatās dope
TX AP prob best ez way to go then?
Yeah plate mount or clips ins have worked great for me
TX AP Plate Mount Stabilizers are kin25's adaptation of the clip-in stabilizers to a plate mount form. Following the "AP" or "Almost Perfect" feature list of a doubleshot stem to improve the fitment of the wire, reduce unwanted noise, and reduce wobble. TX AP Plate Mount Stabilizers Feature: Designed by kin25 Version:
And yeah tx ap or cherry
See I have clip ins but I havenāt put them on yet
They look identical to screw ins tho
Doesnāt seem like it would solve my problem
Idk tho
Well you were installing the o-ring in a different way compared to the rest of us, right?
No I think you guys maybe misunderstood lol
Oh okay
Iām pretty sure itās just usual mount but it snuck between stabs
But now itās an issue lol
Gotcha
I think with the foam itās making the ring tighter
So itās getting in there and backspace sticking
Yes
S same thing
Yeah S with no plate foam didnāt really friction mount anything lol
Just fell in
But with foam itās same backspace stuck stab problem
Hesitant to swap for the clip-ins cuz they seem same structure just without the screw hole
But plate mount seems like it wouldnāt interfere maybe
Plate mount also allows you to use silicone with no issue
Plus definitely not get in the way as much all around so it wouldnāt be as tight
Nice
Yeah I think Iāll just orde r them and replace them all
Plus theyāre black
All black everything
Plus the extra little bit of plastic seems like it could be nice for a sturdy stab idk
Was thinking foam for quieter/thockier
Idk shit tho just trying stuff out lol
I also need better tweezers
The ones in the Wooting kit suck
Good for being tiny but not good for actually grabbing shit
Geon Titanium Tweezer utilize a precision tip in either straight or curved forms. These are perfect for switch or keyboard tuning projects that require precise movements while still being very ergonomic. Geon Titanium Tweezer Features: Material: Titanium Type: Curved Straight Includes: 1 Geon Titanium Tweezer
Curved or straight?
šļøššļø
Curved seems nice
I like curved as well
does somebody know good keycaps for the 60he?
The ones you like the best are good
Ordered the plate mount stand and some new tweezers
Might just use the stock 60HE I havenāt sold yet until I get that shit
CBA to tray mount it
haha true
Just bind your caps lock to backspace for now. Pro move
exactly
Of course symbiote goes on sale
Knew it would happen
Wouldāve only saved like $45 anyway

A 20% drop isn't enough for me to pull the trigger yet, especially since I don't have a board to put it on yet.
Right yeah
If it was 50% thatād be different
But at 20% I donāt feel bad for buying it sooner
guys im ordering wooting 60h+ module next week
is alumaze60 worth it, or should I go with tofu redux
I like mine a lot, though part of my decision process was that I wanted to support wooting directly
Get the one that looks best to you
aight thanks
any low profile switches in the making compatible with the 60 he?
anyone know what keycaps these are
angry miao glacier
Thank you!!
Soo many new magnetic switches coming out lately
How many layers of tape should I put for a pretty gd sound?
Hey! Iām sure itās been asked already but Iām new here, does the wooting 60he+ module fit into the freebird 60 case? If not are there any recommendations for other low profile metal cases? Thanks!š«¶š»
i'd assume there are none if we're talking about kailh choc style low profile switches, they are relying on having a "barrel" at the bottom of the switch that goes through the pcb (60he pcb doesn't have those holes)
i think razer might be the only ones with a similar switch, but even then it's nothing like 60he
Works great with the Freebird60
There is no correct answer for this. Only you can make that determination
thank you bro!
minor thing is you kind of need to file the pcb since the mounting points on the side are farther in then usual
Is this new to the 60HE+? My old board dropped in fine and I dont see any notes in the Notion doc of anyone else having an issue
I have 60he
And you can screw it technically but it's at an angle without filing
I found this out from a reddit post like 6 months ago before I even bought hte freebird
was true when i got mine before I friction mounted it
I had a black one and did a test fit for verification over a year ago. #996573707235491950 message
Could always be a change to the case as well
Yeah nothing has changed with the case really
just the 60he pcb being slightly off compared to a standard 60% dz60 etc
I had a black freebird60 case and could not get it to work either.
Oh wait, are you saying the USB port was slightly off?
No, the left and right mounting points
these sit farther in for some reason is the issue
@polar girder MOUZ looking good. Are you ready to get hurt again?
Hey guys i got the wooting one keyboard it has a usb a/b port not sure, but i want a usb c port in it is it hard to swap? i got a port from a older kb
What do you mean? It has usb c
wooting one not
its the first wooting kb
Yes it has a usb c port on the keyboard
which wooting one are you talking about then
i send screen
u cant get it anymore either
Yeah this is the one I was thinking
it's got centered usb c plugging into the keyboard? or should from what I can see
wdym
Oh it's micro usb
Can't really swap it unless there is a daughterboard that worked with it
which I doubt it would
is soldar always needed?
bc i got an old kbm alr with usb c port
i cant use that one?
To put on a new daughter board? Yes
i mean
idk of thats needed
but swapping port?
Iām not too versed in that specifically but my guess would be no, you canāt just swap the ports
The daughterboard just sits in the bottom of the case
Hey hey hey! Wsp fam
but you won't find one that works with the wooting one
because it has to be designed with it in mind
š ā ļø
Not getting attached any more
Ordered plate mount stabs and new tweezers, fam š«”
I know that, heās referring to removing the micro usb and putting a usb c port on it , which I doubt would work
Oh yeah I was just letting him know that
Ah yeah
but yeah the pinout is different for usb c and micro usb
so it would need not work to solder on a usb c one
Right thatās what I was thinking
any recommendations for a clacky build? Im getting tired of my thock build, actually running abs keycaps, hand lubed jades, tofu redux, no case foam, no plate foam, pc plate (may i swap to steel ?); switch pads; gummy mount
no tape mod thought
^ this build is actually clack but i want cleaner clack
i wanna get the most clackier i can get with my current mats at home. Can still do tape mod but i dont think this would help actually;, may turn it into pop
I mean you have all the mods for clack, Iād say the tofu might not be best for ācleanestā clack but thatās gonna be super personal for what that sound is for you
And yeah donāt do tape mod
At least imo
Youāre free to try it and see if you like it
Use a mx keyboard is the only way you're getting better clack
HE is not there yet
A man can dream Tenturo
ive never liked it personnally yeah, tested keebtape; or blue painters tapes 1 layer to 10 layers each one tested separatly
I find my frog to have a nice clack
still wondering if i should try steel plate
Yeah Iāve tried it all as well, I only liked moleskin for certain configs
I remove it in my frog tho
suprising how most veteran ppl in mechanical keyboard hobby all told me hey when u start u chasing thock but trust me at the end you will chase clack for life
lol
true thing
Yep
whats the thingymabob that acts like case foam but better? i forgor the name
now i hate thock and i just want clack all day
Polyfill
ty
kinda weird to run without case foam tbh; ive been running polyfill since month
but the pcb fits so much better in the case
Yeah
much more hollow
should i rock with the case the 60he came with or save up for a tofuu
like does the tofuu make that much of a differnece?
My current config;
Wooting60HE+
Frog Mini
Jades
GMK ABS keycaps
70A Tadpoles for gasket mount
POM Plate
Silicone Pad
It's destiny
wait why would you put jades in a wooting kb
Why wouldnāt you?
isnt wooting's specialty the switches
it's the tech not the switches
Yeah no problem
Thereās a list in the #šŖāmodding_faq of currently known switches and tested switches
does the gummy o ring mean that i dont have to rescrew the board or sm
Correct
So good
k so heres what i currently have to mod my wooting: lube, o ring, tape, some weird foam that im trying to use, lastly hopes and dreams
anything else i should check off the list or is this all i need
i might upgrade to a tofu case later on
Use keyboard first then decide if you actually want to mod it is my suggestion
Like this channel all about modding but in reality it's like a 5% difference at most
is it worth to get durock stabs
Lube and o-ring mount is good
like are the stabilizers good stock or should i get durock v2
The stock stabs are basically durocks
k ty
Yeah stock are good on both
I'm going to order the freebird 60 case for my 60he+ - does anyone reccomend anything else or are their cases pretty solid?
Tofu redux with brass weight unless you really like the look of the freebird
Heh real
We transition at some point
Yeah frog mini slaps with clack lowkey
Indeed
And the clack with Salvation is nice, but I feel like the frog is more consistent across the board
frog goated
yurrrrrrrrrrrrr
I want a frog NGL
Siiiiickkkk
Which plate is goated tho lol
Same
Saw a green one for sale just yesterday for like $260 on mech market
#šāwooting80he message Can you answer for me rq if you have any idea Pops
-$5?
Answered for you
Lol yeah I mean Iām ok with my redux for now
But when the perfect switch comes along, maybe itās time for the perfect case
why does everyone like the frog so much
I listed my Sirius60 Wooting case on mech market this week but every DM I've got is asking me how I got custom plates made lol
Low front lip, low typing angle, gasket(ish) mount, looks great
gotcha
itās really pricey
seems like it
You need to go to beta.wootility.io if you want the beta version.
Yeah Sirius60 and frog mini seem maybe beyond my skill level lol
Or at least my understanding
It's just a different mounting style than the traditional plate mount.
Not surprised tbh lol
@untold wigeon
Well I wouldn't be surprised if they just wanted to know where to get custom plates made for any board. However, if it's plates made for the Sirius60 specifically I'd be surprised since it's not super common.
can i fix the usb c on my wooting pcb by soddering a new usb
Yeah that's true
because it makes 60he sound good
anyone here have sound test on it ?
The black frog mini is sexy too
I do have a second piece of kilmat, ready for a new case.
What you think? Lol
Nice little side print action
Kinda fire NGL
Good luck getting one
oh nice
i like this one
clean
Stem swapped raptor common W
IKR
itās like dang they look cheap and tacky but then you keep looking at it and start to think itās actually pretty sweet lol
I generally prefer more understated aesthetic but i do like that one lol
i like the idea but not the execution
I like the colored WASD cuz I actually pretty much only game on my keyboard

Not enough pixels
Still regretting getting my keycaps :D
Put some grip tape on WASD maybe lol
Why
Idk it's just somewhat of an eyesore from when looking at my setup
and i dont really like the legends
its just
big and in the middle xd
I tend to like legends like on the top left
But in general, just want keycaps that would match the case very well along with my setup

@polar girder Oh what's your plan on your keeb
Other than the stabs
Rebind backspace to right shift for now lol
Gotcha gotcha
But I think stay with foam and kilmat for now and go full plate mount stabs
Interesting
Yeah theyāre black
If stock was black I might only change the ones I needed
But the new stabs are black so theyāre all getting swapped lol
Big brain
hm
this is what i do it works great lol
I mean they did say they gonna print some logos on the keys like the 60he but idk the pcb itself with the strip things looks cool for no reason
giving cyber shit vibe xd
Bro I really hope a future iteration of top tier HE is all black
the magnetic oil king
š
interesante
frrr
Edible
What is that bro
I do kind of want to try these clip-ins tho NGL
But Iāll wait until plate mount come in and compare them all I guess
Let's take a look at the Wooting 80HE DVT sample
Skip to like an hour and one minute for a quick sound test
Lmao
It sounds alright
but for most people it should be perfectly fine and good
but im being nit picky :D
I was like whatās this random mechanical switch pcb heās sending
The lighting stuff looked cool
Sander's Zinc Alloy (Prototype)
Yeah
No improvment from mine though so i gues no needing to buy the v2's right @quiet bay?
Those keycaps tho oof

28 mins for the sound test of this
*Jades btw
Hmm yeah sounds just alright
mhm
nahh no need to buy v2s
wait longer š„
Indeed
Yo lowkey modded lekkers serving us a bit of long term?!
yessir still going strong
Have you done anyting to your board lately? xd
sadly not I do want ceramic keycaps but im pulling myself away from it for now š
also still waiting for life changing he switches
i am pretty satisfied with my wooting rn ig
Well im trying to change the pitch in my spacebar but as of right now i have no idea how xd
only change I did to mine as adding the silicone pad
U cld run EVA cut foam on ur keycap
I have neoprene in it
O nice
can probably make it clackier by cutting the plate foam or something
who knows
Tofu redux with brass
Kilmat
papertape on top of pcb
plate foam
module with stock screwins lubed
l45 stem swapped raptors
took off the moleskin
Also idk why but Steel on steel with poron inbetween the PCB is hella thocky
There isn't any part of the plate foam to begin with for the spacebar xd
o dang lol i forgot
my backspace just doesn't have a key on it rn @fluid ravine
Steel plate x steel case
this is the latest recording i did on my wooting
How is it to you?
mic is pretty close
I am using the Wooting 60HE prebuilt case with my tofu
Miss that sound š„¹
it is xd
oh really?
did u make urs clackier?
wait then i wonder what it sounds like at a optimal distance
I still lov thock and creamy sounds
idk like mic 3 inches away or smth
my mic volume was at 65 lol whoops
I like the alphas but like the spacebar to me is not doing justice in such way, Pops said it sounds fine which I agree and CAM said it sounds like popping bubbles which was interesting lol
Oh wait I like this
Keyboard Mat? :D
my saturn pro is under it yeah
ah right
the mic is also on a stand on the table top
Wait so the large one and another saturn on top or some shi?
i'm only using one at a time lol
me confuse u got a pic? :D
ah
