Just go with whatever theme you like and work out the budget. Only other thing to consider is material type(abs, pbt or other). Most popular profiles tends to be Cherry or OEM but MT3 does have a nice shape, albeit slightly high

Those are the only switches out rn that drastically change the wooting experience, there are a bunch more he switches coming out later this year so if you really want to wait feel free too, then make a decision, but if you’re looking for new switches now then choose whichever you prefer, jades=thocky and raptor=clacky

Height is personal preference, I haven't tried anything other than Cherry/OEM so it's hard for me to say if MT3 is good or bad. And I'm not too familiar with what brands carry the MT3 profile other than Drop. For Cherry/OEM, Wooting, Kbdfans and GMK I lean towards; even Amazon has decent sets imo

Can someone explain the travel distance between the stabs and the switches (jades) comparability issue or if there is any? Would there be issues with actuation and performance if the switches were used on these keys without changing stabs? Would I need to change stabs

hey so because the jades have a closed bottom, the travel distance is 3.5mm instead of 4mm of the stabilizers so what CAN happen is that since the stabilizers can be pushed down further than the switch cause the opposite side that you press down on to pop the keycap out\

overall you got to press right on the stabilizer to make this happen and it may not happen depending on the tightness of your keycaps/ make it harder to happen, other fixes to this could be adding material to the underside of the stem to shorten the distance of the stem and finally if you are still finding an issue with this you can get long pole stabilizers which are stabilizers that match the travel distance of 3.5

If you will lube l60s make sure you lube the section on the top housing that made contact with the stem, it is the section were Thockson applied the switch tape mod (for reference).

You'll want to remove the PCB from the plate first. That will help. Watch that video

1. remove all the switches
2. from the back of the pcb, unscrew all the screws that old the plate
3. separate the plate and the foam, so you have only the pcb
4. your FR4 plate should bring a small bag with standoffs and super small screws. you need to insert the screw from the back of the pcb into the holes where your removed the stock screws, hold them and then screw in the standoffs from the front of the pcb

That goes on top of the PCB directly ...
Then on top of that switch pad, you have the foam that was in your wooting keyboard, a thicker foam with the cutouts of where you will install the switches

and finally you will have the plate

but before ALL THAT

you will need to pickup the PCB and install the standoffs as i said. If you don't know which are the holes to install the standoffs, just pick up the old wooting plating, lay it down on top of the front of the PCB and see which holes its supposed to be screwed to
