The ring itself is a bit loose/slack so it doesn't nestle inbetween so it takes come doing to get it in safely.

People found switching the lekker stem into raptors gives out more of solid sound
from testing lekker stock have the worst sounding due to chatter
Raptors are much better although they still have that hint of chatter but just a little
But Frankensteining the 2 switches (Raptor's bottom and top housing with lekker stem) seems to make it the best sounding HE switch out of the three. Really solid 👍

Good catch. It seems to be more of a compact version of a TKL. Some of them don’t include f rows, some don’t have spacing between f rows as well. They do vary quite a bit from what I’ve seen

It does limit the effectiveness but what you're getting instead is slightly softer feel, and then isolation of the plate for sound

No flex and bounce is 2 different things
when it comes to gasket or gummy mounted keebs, they provide bounce throughout the board (module if i say)
flex cuts however rely on the pcb or plate having cuts in certain spots causing some parts of the board bending in (flex)

if anyone is on the fence, I can confirm the frankenswitch mod between lekker and Raptor HE is worth it imo. Makes the board sound way better and I don't have any issues with performance either. Only downside to me is the RGB tint for those that use RGB. Otherwise the sound is night and day.

Regarding this frog mini case, was it initially designed as a gasket mount and compatible with standard 60% PCBs? For some reason I thought gasket mounts required a custom PCB layout. I didn't realize you can just pop in a 60HE into there and have it become functional. That's actually really cool

and yeah if you can be bothered do bandaid mod

make sure you lube every part of the inside of the switch, its pretty hard to overlube the lekker switches

obviously make sure you test each switch afterwards to see if its too lubed or not

Yeah for some reason when you compare burger mount and tape mod, theres not really a difference between them when listening for it's affect, esp when combining them. Usually recommend skipped tempest if you're doing burger mount.
Tempest mod can take affect when you're not using burger mount for sure.

I ended up lubing each spring by hand as I only had 205G0. Surprisingly the whole process only took about 2.5 hours

Didn’t have to remove the pcb either since the switches came out effortlessly

I didn’t use case foam because I have polyfill in the bottom under the pcb - I have a two layer tape mod to keep the polyfill from touching the PCB. As far as films go I tested both kinds of films that I have and they made the pitch of the switch higher than what I was looking for so I didn’t opt to film them

It is usually done to avoid "north facing interference" basically when your keycap touches the switch it prevents you from bottoming out the switch.

So I managed to get my wooting to turn on and factory reset in wootility, but now it will work for 30 seconds normally then slowly becomes more unresponsive to the point where it won't input anything that I am typing. Any suggestion on what I can do?

I can post a video but its kind hard to show what I am typing and the screen at the same time

I plugged it in with wootility open and it came on

but without wootility open it doesnt turn on?

It is turning on now

But it will only work normally for a minute or so

Then will start missing my inputs till it become almost completely unresponsive

Each time I turn it on it works for a short amount of time

I am running the default profile after factory reset

have you tried reseting the keyboard to factory settings using wootility ?

The wooting stays on as does the rbg but I can't type anything as it becomes unresponsive to my inputs
