So there’s a mod to fix that and it’s called the Switch Tape Mod #🔧│keyboard_modding message, I used Nexcare Gentle Paper tape and applied two layers to each switch. This makes a massive different and makes the switches sound cleaner

Recently, I came across a patent for GATERON's linear key switch which mentioned that they implemented a "sounding elastic piece".
When the key shaft core slides upwards or downwards, this elastic piece can be bounced to hit the shell of the base, making a sound and generating a tactile feedback.
So... does the Wooting team plan on incorporating add a similar design in the future for the Lekker Switch?

It looks like these should be fully compatible with Wooting's switches(structure seems 100% similar)

I think the structure is roughly like this: when axle 31 pulls torsion spring 7, it triggers. It triggers again when released
providing dual feedback in terms of feel and sound (perhaps the torsion spring hitting plastic plate?)

double shot is technically better than dye sub but realistically speaking if both are done well you'll have keycaps that last probably as long as you want to use them anyway

personally I think more important than doubleshot is the quality of the molding and legends - you can have doubleshot keycaps that have horribly warped keys and dye sub keycaps that are perfectly straight - so the quality of the manufacturer is much more important

depends on the thickness more so than doubleshot vs sub dye. There is a slight difference between abs vs pbt though, but which is better comes to preference

again the thickness will also be more based on the maker

All of these factors is why people tend to lean towards the known high quality keycap makers - they tend to make thicker keycaps with better legends and less warping issues (although funny enough gmk recently has seen quality drops with their own misalignment issues)

The m4 s, has 20 bullets while the M4 has 30 bullets
m4s shoots slower, deals slightly more damage, has more accuracy.
m4 shoots faster, has more bullets less accurate

Personally I prefer the m4 however, sometimes I wish i had the m4s equiped, if I have the opperunity I try to get as CT an AK

For my skill rank because that might also play a role, currently and 1 day ago I ranked up to silver 3

From what I know it should be mechanical, you can look at what’s the spec for it switches and if you like the weight

Then choose 45 or 60

I personally think it would cause it to be a little stiffer since it wont squish like an o-ring. But that might not be a bad thing if I'm going pc plate anyway.

It should also be easier to line up the usb c port as well I think

I've got some of those and they work fine, just more expensive and you would still want an o-ring between the screw head and PCB.

Also if you want a real OG tip, use nylon screws instead of metal ones.

I was looking at the FR4 plate from kdbfans for the wooting, and I seen this. What does this mean exactly? Will it be a big negative effect?

The FR4 plate with it's flex cuts will likely cause issues. Not sure why they are talking about switch pads with their plates but yes switch pads can also cause problems if they are too thick or squishy. I'd suggest. 25mm instead of. 5

Personally I wouldn't use them on a keyboard that already has a .1 mm actuation. You mess with the tolerance for that by installing films.

i'm pretty sure that's why they made the 2 feet, to mimic the 2 different angles you'd normally get from gaming keyboard feet

i havent done the switch tape mod yet but 1.0mm pe foam pads have helped a lot so far

i did buy the gentle paper tape that someone recommended but im assumign that switch tape modding 61 lekker switches is going to take hours so i'll just do it when the polycarbonate plate comes
