I personally wouldn't lube them. Far too much time for such a small difference that can very likely make your switch feel worse by being sluggish. I say use it for a couple months and if you still aren't happy with the sound then lube them

Yeah, I thought this exact thing as well when I got into keyboards. I was so pumped, I lubed all my switches. Took me hours, I barely added much lube and it still came out more sluggish then I'd prefer. I hated it so much I took off every switch again, cleaned off the lube, 1 by 1 and put it back in. Basically all for nothing. I regret lubing that time. I tried again later with a different approach and it turned out better but the lube overall in my opinion isn't worth it unless you're really chasing a specific sound or a very minor difference in feel

You can never go wrong with waiting. Feel out the keyboard first, then decide on lubing swithes once you've tested it, this is just my advice

There’s no standard for full sized at all. So if someone was to make one for the 2HE it would be for that and that only. No one is gonna commercialize that.

question - i just watched a badseed tech (youtube reviewer) review of wooting keyboard and he mentions gateron orange switches... he has them mounted 'south facing' and it recolors his RGB orange... my question is actually just what is the point of mounting your switches upside down in the first place? Is it just to dampen RGB? I don't actually care about the switches just wondering about the whole north or south facing switch thing

@cerulean mantle If you're modding, you might as well add the Switch Tape Mod in. I was testing it last night and it made a noticeable difference in horizontal wobble and dampened the click of the switch when it comes back up and hits the top of the switch housing.
