No. Burger mounting provides a little isolation between the PCB and case. Changing the plate material doesn't change the point or advantage of burger mounting.

If I was to guess based on experience. The Klippe and Redux will sound the same (if the Redux sounds the same as the Tofu 1.0 and I've heard it does). The Alumaze however should be different. The smaller dampening cavity between the PCB and case will reduce area for frequency bounce and the thinner dampening materials that come with the module should create a perfect fit that reduces high frequencies quite a bit. The area is so small that the stock 60HE foam, even with the top piece removed, gets squished in the alumaze case.

Looks are the primary factor for a lot of people so I completely get it. The strap bar is usually love it or hate it. I personally love it, but agree on the gold color. I'll likely replace it with another color when wooting releases the additional colors for the strap bar.

Im asking because I dont see how lube would impact the magnetics at all so as a test I just put a few drops of lube under a few switches on the PCB and it still works fine. Most of the time if people have response/actuation issues its due to some sort of mod, bad cable, or settings too sensitive/high for their environment.

Yeah I love the L45s. I ordered the 60he, L45, and lube set. Tried out the 60he stock and found it very heavy on key presses (old keyboard was an Apex 9 TKL).

Tbh the easiest way is a low profile keycaps.
The pcb is screwed into the standoff so there’s no changing that. U can remove the foam between the plates and the pcb but it will make ur kb sound really bad for a 2-4mm decrease in height.

Yeah, it did a really good job of reducing the reverberations and making the hollow / ping noise disappear. More of a "thud" noise, very dense sounding.
Problem is my case is so skinny that I can't fit a ton in there, and if there's too much pressure on the bottom of the PCB, it makes the switches freak of a bit.

I don't recommend any switch pads but if you do get some, thinner is better. 1mm will likely cause a ton of issues.

They wobble about the same as Gateron yellows (and most switches that don't have box stems). Might affect the feel of the switch but shouldn't affect the sound. I'm quite sure the steel plate plays a much larger role in the sound.

Change out the case foam. Using something like Sorbothane, Kilmat, or MLV will provide a better sound over Neoprene / Poron. (In my opinion).
Lubing the switches properly, the springs and stems.
You can add film, I haven't done that yet though.
Also the switch tape mod someone already mentioned.

theres the pc plate on the site and there is a site that sells custom plates but requires the kbdfans standoff kit(i think thats the name)
