I remember they said they use steel because it’s important to have a very stiff plate to keep the space between the pcb and the plate consistent otherwise it would affect performance so I’m wondering how the PC plate would perform since it’s one of the least stiff materials.

I ordered the Tofu Redux 2 months ago and it arrived today (Anodized Black).

Anyhoo, I lubed the Lekker switches around 2 or 3 months ago and in the beginning they sounded more or less deep and "thocky".

The keys I use the most (WASD) already sound like they are not-lubed (clicky sound) and I've Heard it should last around a year before I need to re-lube. Is it normal with these switches specifically or did I do a bad job at lubing?

no, the lekkers are only this good. Mine sounded unlubed in a few months also. The noise you hear is probably because of the bounce back sound instead of bottoming sound. The lekker's top housing isn't particularly tight-fitting with the bottom housing.

That is to say that the top housing is either wobbling, or the fitting isn't seamless.

gateron made a new batch of hall effect switches and they sound much better. iirc they call them KS something

Yup they're called KS-20, but i m not sure if you wanna purchase them just to chase for better sound. Hall effect switches can only achieve this much if you lube them.

Yes, I'm personally satisfied with the case. I had the Poseidon 60 before which had too much those "metalic" sounds even though I used the burger mod.

Strangely with the Tofu Redux, I don't have that sound with burger mod so i am quiet satisfied. This might be placebo effect but it also sounds "thockier" than the Wootings plastic case (nothing against the case!)
