Here's my take - The springs are for enthusiasts who want to lube their switches and get a slightly lighter switch.

The L50 springs are going out of stock for good. So in the future we will have L60 (standard on 60HE and 2HE) and L45 (so slightly lighter than the 50's) as pre-assembled switches.

No fiddling with the springs, switch openers or lube required.

That sounds like I would expect. Wood cases arent super dense compared to some other materials and the steel plate frequency response is on the higher side.

Yeh the battery provider for first batch Lied about the charging speed the battery accepted. Charging IC on the mouse charges batteries at 0.4a i think, which most 300mah or lower cells just cannot handle. I got some 300mah battery off Amazon that was rated for i think 0.45a so I'm hoping it'll stay alive

A couple of first batch HSK 4k caught fire and exploded, although reddit made the whole deal sound worse than it was. No one was harmed and hsk offered full replacement or refund for all first batch orders (obviously without the need to send the mouse back to China). So all in all, if my aftermarket battery holds up, i got a 200€ mouse twice for the price of one 🥴

That's a rabbit hole man 😅 i feel like burger mount isn't for me, i didn't end up keeping it. My 60HE is tape modded with two layers of scotch 33+, which definitely made the board louder and brighter sounding.
Good tape is recommended if you intend on being able to remove the tape without having goo/residue left over
One mod i have tried before is PE foam, which you place right on the PCB under the switches.
However the PE foam sheet I used fused to the PCB overtime so I don't recommend packing foam as the 60he LEDs can get hot

Sounds good, food for thought: someone recommended electrician tape over painters tape to me because of potential fire hazard due to the LEDs heat over time.
It has happened, but doesn't happened to most people who tape mod it seems like

Because the tape mod makes almost no difference on the 60HE due to the steel plate and PCB being hard mounted to it (e.g. almost zero resonance) I dont think different tapes are going to be noticeable. I've used painters tape (prefer frogg tape) and it works fine.

Question. I have some Krytox 204 (verry thick) And some krytox 1514 (thin) lube left, from another keyboard project a few years ago. Are they suitable to lube the switches with? It seems like most sites sell Krytox 205G0 lube, but for switches? Are the 205 very thick also, as the 204? Isnt that to thick for switches?, shouldnt it be thin lube for switches?

What you can test to see if the stabs are moving is after inserting the wire into the housing, use tweezers to grab the + on the stem to see if you can wiggle it up and down. That way, you don't have to put the stab back into the pcb to test if it works or not

Theres a lot of rattle/vibration. I speculate that I didn't bag lube the springs well enough and might have to go in with 205g0.

Does anyone by chance know the exact font that is used on the Wooting Keycaps (on the Wooting HE specifically if that matters)? I've done some fairly extensive searching and I've not found any results on this on the web or in here. I've only come across very close matches myself. Microsoft Sans Serif is REALLY close, but it falls apart when it comes to the symbols/punctuation ($ ; ? etc.), they don't match.

I keep going back and forth on whether or not I want an aluminum case, I want to try to go for a deeper sound, but have had issues in my area with static discharge. Can any speak to the conductivity or their experience with static of the wooting with an aluminum case?

can't say i've ever had static discharge in the freebird60 case, that said sound wise the alu case doesn't really improve things there for 'thock'
