I can sign the keys and get it to work with SB but whenever I update my bios or clear cmos etc I get a secure boot violation and cant use it. I also ended up getting this weird issue where whenever I used it to boot into ubuntu, ubuntu would be in an extremely low resolution.

It's a huge improvement, but relieving the monitor bottleneck exposes a bunch of other less important issues like desyncing of the update rate between the mouse and screen refresh. You need a 2khz mouse to scale well onto 280hz and 4khz for beyond

for the same issue basically

280hz monitor, 1000hz mouse = sometimes there are 3 polls of mouse movement on an updated frame, sometimes there are 4. The unevenness is human eye visible and reduces percieved smoothness, creates extra blur etc.

we can't sync mouse to monitor so we do the next best thing and just yeet the mouse update rate so it's not really a problem (there's very little difference between having 14 vs 15 polls of updates in a frame, unlike 3 vs 4)
