is there any info on how the he sensors on the 80he are sampled (or like a pcb pic, would honestly be enough)? currently building a hall effect keyboard myself (just for me, not for sale lol) and my method of sampling seems too expensive (12 8-channel multiplexers into 3 4 channel adcs at 500ksps so i can get 2 samples per tick per sensor) so im curious how its done on commercial boards, they've probably put quite a lot of thought into cost minimisation

Your scenario seems to be very game dependent. I can't think of a single game where I'd be crouching on CTRL and need to tap ESC fast enough that basic trigger discipline (or the game blocking shortcuts) doesn't handle that.

I know on Apex you can use tab to close the loot box when spamming crouch (left control) to be a hard target the same time most people that plays a wide range of games are so use when when closing a menu or inventory use ESC to close it. Hope that answers your question.

People are going to need more information about what keyboard you actually have.

You can snip the two stabilizing pins off of a normal 5-pin mx type switch, and they should fit in your board well enough. Obviously this method is not reversible, so take that how you want.

For instance, this Haimu Whisper switch is a 5-pin design with the two stabilizing pins. The other is a Cherry MX blue with a 3-pin design. You just get a pair of wire cutters or something similar and snip those two pins off. Make sure not to accidentally clip off the copper legs, that would be bad.

Yes indeed, this is both lack of optimization because developers are getting less skilled and lazier thanks to hardware and software advancements.
And because graphics are more and more realtime these days. Older games cheat a lot with prebaked lighting and such, whereas newer games try to do it all in realtime which is also why they look so hideous when you turn all graphics to low
