And it's not everything, you can still mess up badly in terms of distortions. And of course consistency of a good seal, no amount of eq is going to fix an inconsistent leak on headpones.

Actually with these personalized tests makes me wonder if certain geometries, larger drivers thicker ear pads allow for a more consistent sound between people.

Not really, if you are into psychoacoustics at all, basically your brain expects certain sounds to sound a certain way due to your own HRTF, that's gained simply by growing into your body and your brain trying its best to map sounds in your environment. And that's something that is pretty much impossible to actually reverse.

Most of them will be fairly similar assuming they all have a mostly balanced sound and there's no way for me to guess which you'll prefer between them with high confidence. I got the frosted ice colour.

First impressions. Box is massive lol. Mouse itself is pretty comfortable (similar profile to X2H mini but with a slightly less pronounced hump), weight with no tape was 48g (advertised as 44g±3g), stock skates are actually pretty nice on Hayate Otsu V2 and Neptune Pro, haven't tried the included mouse pad yet but it's very soft which I'm not a fan of, comes with spare skates as well as dot skates (I like XRP jades so these won't be used), coating is ok but not a fan of how smooth it is (I use tape anyway so it doesn't matter), main clicks are fine but side buttons are a little 'smooshy' for my liking but not terrible, wheel is decent, pre/post travel is pretty good too, haven't checked battery life or polling rate consistency yet.

Oh yeah definitely, it retains the timbre of the 6xx but with more sub bass, treble, and detail. Like I personally feel it's a direct upgrade over the 6XX. I was worried about the 7-8 kHz peak but honestly it's not bothering me.

I had an old he 400i that had 7-8khz peak and it was legit awful. Maybe it's was ringing in that region cuz hifiman.
