Hardware based macros are a lot more difficult for game developers to detect than using software based ones like AutoHotkey. We're looking into a software based implementation longterm.

i dont know any of you guy but i get the feeling that you guys are extremely nice and genuine. however, F the developers, thats their problem. let us get macros lol just joking but not really. i respect the game developers but youve already implemented features that some consider cheating so not giving the customers the ability to do macros doesnt make sense. in the competitive markets for selling keyboards. youre just hurting yourself in the long run. every other keyboard company that does do macros obviously does not share your morals and is going to take the sales from you guys ultimately it comes down to you guys just make a tool. its up to the customer to know the rules of the game they play and use the tools responsibly. i personaly use keyboard and mouse on Xbox series X so i dont have the ability to use another third party software for macros. so not being able to set them up or even a turbo funtion to get my YY macro kinda thru that really sucks. so i hope you guys reconsider and give us that ability in the near future. also you limit yourself and the inovations you can come up with. And i say all of this with nothing but respect for you all so please dont take offese to anything

I don't agree. All macro capability can be done via software - And those games that choose to block them can do so.

Besides that, I don’t see this as a keyboard manufacturer’s responsibility. You can emulate it in software: mapping different actions to press depth effectively becomes “auto-fire” or macro behavior, and plenty of tools already do this—independent of Wooting. In general, no keyboard needs proprietary vendor software just to run macros; frameworks like AutoHotkey can add macros to virtually any keyboard.

A tiny amount. It will make the RGB more red.

The reason we use white painted plates, is that it reflects some of the RGB light, and if that plate is coloured, it'll tint what it reflects.

Nope, it's very easy. You don't need to completely disassemble the keyboard. All you have to do is remove the 7 screws on the back of your 80HE, take off the top case, and move the module into your new case.

hello, ik this channel is named after the 80he. idrk which channel id ask this in but i got my HE v2 today and ive been having issues with my W key in game. sometimes it just cuts the input for like a split second. like i can walk forward and then it stops walking for a sec before starting again. i have no clue what could cause it. ive tried swapping the switch to 2 different ones out of the ones provided. still the same thing happening. im also wondering if the usb cable on the keyboard side of things is supposed to go all the way in so its plastic to plastic or if im supposed to see part of the metal from the usb contact. It should just kinda click into place? I don’t quite remember... If you try to jiggle the case and the parts don’t separate, I think you’re probably good to screw it in

If it's one of the first few batches, you may still have the pads under the stabilizers which were intended to improve the sound and feel. In some cases, if lube leaked out of the switches onto the pads over time, they can become sticky.

If you were thinking about getting white zinc case I recommend from the outlet store there aren’t any marks or scratches on mine, I think they’re super generous with what they consider misfit or just sent me a brand new one

buy the set remove the holder from wera replace with the centrofix since that thing has 0 wobble it makes the kllong screwdriver bits like as goopd as normal ones with the benefit of bits it realy is a great set

the wera holder is not bad but not suitable for the long shafts as the centrofix that thing makes those 10cm bits stable as if it would be a fixed screwdriver i use that thing since years and never regretted it

the annoying part about it is that if you want to use that function as well as an actual controller, windows gets confused and you end up having to unplug/replug the usb ports :/

It could be one of your motherboard USB controllers being overloaded. Try plugging the keyboard into the front USB ports instead, they tend to run on a separate controller from all of the usb on the back.

Neither. You put them in sideways which does matter as the cross isn’t symmetrical, so putting them in like that causes unnecessary stress on the keycap poles and may damage them. The Tecsee logo should be top left and the AEBoards logo should be bottom right. Or upside down is fine too, as long as they aren’t sideways. 🙂

Haha, it happens. But yeah, the hooks/clips on switches are almost always on top and bottom.

Only very very few switches have them on the left and right.

Also, I see that you’re using switch foam stickers on your plate, that may cause the travel of Raeds to increase which then causes keycap interference (keycaps bottoming out on Raeds’ housing, you’ll hear a loud noise when this happens).

If that happens, just remove those stickers. :)

Raeds are identical to Gelpads except their dome. Gelpads offer a “tactile” dome version too while Raeds are only “linear” (they really aren’t linear but they’re as linear as domes can be).

Yeah the only difference is color but the Gelpads won’t let light through either afaik. If you can order from Taobao, you can get the XVX ones which are exactly the same except they’re completely transparent so they do let light through.

Actually the Available cases for our keeb doesn’t really make me wow. I don’t particularly like the design of wooting zinc ( that is the same as the the PCR). But at the same the the gt80 case didn’t convince me with the sound signature plus a little over styled sometimes.

you see actually a lot of people are fine if you during a sentence start jumbling the letters in the middle of words so the first and last letter are still at the right spot but the rest is mixed up. however if you introduce actual typos one would have to make educated guesses as to what you are trying to say and as your sentence was quite short this is quite hard to do.

for example i would have never even guessed cut out as c and o are too far apart on a keyboard

since the actuation point isnt set, you can make both as sensitive/insensitive for gaming as you like

obviously if you have weak fingers and set your actuation to only happen on bottom out then i could see a world where the 45s are way better but other than that its just what you prefer in day to day use

if you do end up deciding to swap out all the switches, i highly recommend taking off the switch plate and pushing them out from underneath

otherwise it can be a nightmare to remove all the switches

Hall effect switches mainly let you adjust when a key activates (sensitivity). The spring weight is what changes how “controllable” the key feels.
For some people, heavier springs (me withj 70g) are easier to control because the extra resistance helps prevent accidental presses and makes it easier to hold a key at a certain depth. Very light springs (around 45g) can feel twitchy, especially if your actuation is set very sensitive. imho if you hafe no trouble with 60 its better overall --> heavier springs can make the adjustable sensitivity usable at the aggressive end, because they reduce unintentional micro-movements.

in the end prefrence mostly wins so find it out

I used to have issues with that on old pc with different usb controllers and what not, no matter of browser.

That said- If you got windows, just use edge momentarily just for wootility

It's installed in windows by default to have some browser, it uses chromium so works for wootility, and it's a browser. You just dial in wooting site and it at least provenly works with wootility. I got to say if you can't just launch a browser and use it, then I admit, I may have overestimated an individual, but happy to help if anyone asks for it as everyone certainly has their first time. But I assumed the person who has Brave is familiar enough.
