I got an Artisan first, only recently, i'm getting another one soon. But i'm slowly researching into Glasspads, not convinced yet that it's something i need or would be useful for me.

Ive been testing out the new beta firmware. I like that we finally have symmetrical actuations for both rapid trigger and actuation point (at 0.1) but I have been experiencing some issues where the keys will stop inputting/get-stuck or even keep inputting after the key has been released.

Edit: I need to test it but it might be a conflict between the lower rapid trigger sens and the debounce filter.

from the demos ive heard, its similar on the Just Black and Frost colorways as well. Probably need to lube stabs, or fill with poron foam pads to adjust sound signature, from what i've heard.

Take that poor module out of the case and try to plug in the cable. If that still doesn't work, you borked the port. And there's no way to fix that without complex soldering as Night mentions above.

Hey everyone, Ive had my 80he for over a year now and it started to get a little dirty

Its my first proper keyboard so I was just wondering if theres anything I should pay attention to while cleaning or in general, how do you even properly clean a keyboard?

warm (not hot) water and a soft brush is mostly all you need

that will take care of your keycaps and soft brush also works for your plate to brush off all the hair/skin/etc that has fallen under keycaps

Yesterday I updated everything via Wootility and Today I noticed a weird behavior. In tachyon mode with actuation at 0,6mm I hit the "v" key very lightly once and I got "vvvvvvvvvv" as output. I tried it with debounce and without, changing profiles seems to have fixed it.

Also while writing this I had a problem with the backspace. Where when the switch is fully pressed down it only showed up as 0,25mm in Wootility. I unplugged and replugged my 80he and now both are working again... Very weird never had Problems like these before. I don't know if this helps in any way just wanted to share.

the problem with this is that "install properly" means a lot of different things depending on which distro.

you have deb, rpm, flatpak, snap, tarballs, and a bunch of other packaging formats that we can't really properly test and make sure works. AppImage is one format that works for every distro

Just received my white zync 80he but it unfortunately turned up with a very miniscule chip in, of which I thought these issues were fixed. I was tempted to look past this as it is very small but a major issue I noticed immediately is the case seems to be warped and wobbles a slight bit. I have tried all 3 different "feet" on 3 different flat surfaces and this is still happening. Is this common with the zync cases?

Yes, take it apart and check if both ends of the JST cable are properly plugged in the connectors.

1. Unscrew all the screws on the bottom of the case (you'll need PH1 screwdriver)
2. Remove the top case
3. Lift the module
4. Push both ends of the JST cable into the PCB/USB daughterboard connectors
5. Reassemble the keyboard

The black zinc has some issues with the paint peeling off under some conditions. But I believe the amount of people it happens to is relatively low. White zinc v2 is the stronger one to and doesn’t suffer from any strength issues

No difference with/without dongle, similarly 8k polling on a keyboard isn't taxing on the PC so no issues there

Depending on your PC you may need to plug it into a different USB port if the controller can't handle all the peripherals connected to it

Yeah, people have been using it to dye PBT keycaps. I didn’t know if it’d work but it did, surprisingly well.

The only slightly annoying part is getting the water up to temp (80-85°). I used a 2 liter kettle and had to boil water 6 times or so to get it up to temp (in the sink).

A little more than 2 liters is required to submerge the case in the metal sink. Once you add water to the metal sink, that water will start to cool down in the time you boil the next amount. Thus needing to boil water multiple times to get it up to temperature. 😃 👍

Mine sometimes stays completely unpowered until I unplug and re-plug the USB cable. After that it works flawlessly.

I’m trying to figure out whether this is a known eventhouzgh uncommen behaviour (USB init, BIOS, power draw, firmware quirks) or if I should assume a hardware issue and investigate further while it’s still under warranty.

I had the exact opposite where it’d stay on after shutting down my PC. That was a bios setting, so hopefully it’s an as easy fix for you. :)

If not, maybe you could see what happens when you put your PC to sleep? And perhaps if you turn the LEDs on your board off, if it’s a power issue. It’s kinda odd that it’s just the board even when using different ports.

Would be good to check if the daughterboard cable is plugged in correctly. If you are pulling on it and disconnection happens it might indicate the daughterboard cable not being fully properly seated.

assembling your own keyboard is not that hard, you can just pick whichever switch has your preference or are interested in. Some cases are only available as a standalone so you wouldneed to get module (not pre-assembled) route. During the product selection page, you basically have an overview for all the things you need ;)

Quick question for y'all, and please redirect me to a different channel if this isn't the correct one to ask in, I'm curious if there is a way to disable the functionality of the “caps lock” key while still being able to use the key in wootility. I tend to use the key a lot for dedicated sliding in games and never really need to write a message in all caps. CoD has something in place that prevents pressing the caps lock while tabbed in-game from triggering it, it will only do what the key is bound to.

Firstly, I am not sure if it's connecting "deep enough" with the module.
