yes
no its not but you dont need to figure out which goes where
oh alr
Unless you are on ISO like me, i get two trays and i had to mix and match from both to get the proper result :D
ANSI > ISO confirmed
no ansi sucks

fullsize is god tier though
if only calder would agree and finally start working on a refresh
One day, we pray
i got a iso pcr/plastic ghost
yeah but the language is what matters
How long does it take for my support ticket to get seen?
i thinki i gotta buy a new wooting
Currently 1 to 2 weeks.
If you have an issue with the keyboard, wait for their response. Wooting will take care of it.
company mutiny until new fullsize approved
@nova nexus lets do it
We have the power
We could hold the Discord hostage until our demands are met
Rename every channel to WE WANT FULLSIZE
fullsize bad

Would much rather have a separate num pad than full sized keeb
Imagine a keyboard but the numpad is on the left side
don't have to imagine, it exists
GGs!!!!
What is the default switches that come with a prebuilt 80he? Im contemplating whether I should do a custom build or prebuilt but if the switches are the same might aswell do prebuilt
lekker v2
Does anyone have tikken yet
a bunch of people
issue came back once again, this time on the Q key. might disable tachyon mode for the time being
How are they?
They're nice
They’re good if you’re coming from lekkers
Yeah i got the og switches in still, so its considered an actual upgrade or more of a its nice to have
It's a nice upgrade
Hmm gonna consider it then, cheers
finallyyy
W
not certain if this is the right chat for this but im having massive issues with my 80he rapidly disconnecting itself, I have checked the cable and it seems its not secure in the keyboard, I've only had this keyboard for 3 months and I've taken great care of it? is there any fix for this?
I want to mod a 80he, does anyone have recommendations on how to make the sound thocky? I will be ordering the GT-80 case and I was thinking of ordering a foam+FR4 plate. Is this good and any thocky key switches recommendations?
That’s it? 🥀
tikkens werent the sound profile i wanted
they felt weird to me but normal for other people
they felt almost like they were tactiles to me
There's a big sound profile set of videos wooting has made that you can compare with.
I'm really enjoying my Wooting x TTC KOM POMs with the stronger spring and the stock 80HE plate.
That said, I did order a FR4 plate just to try out.
PC would work better than fr4 if you want a more muted sound
thocky does not exist for HE
Rn Unionwell and orchid best for me
My coworkers described my keyboard as "popping bubble-wrap" today.
Those both look like they have a really nice stem design. Are those POM?
or at least the pink one is pom?
dunno if these work on a wooting
don't see why not
gateron low profiles arent compatible
They should they work on other boards
They not low profile
they look like any generic HE switch of the right kind for RGB
pink one?
its just a shit image
its squashed lol
oh
lulz
gateron jade work on wooting
can't imagine gateron orchid wouldn't
sure, the jade is a mini
magnet strength (or lackthereof) can also effect compatibility
ah

well there's a dude running wooting 80HE with GT80 case and gateron orchids
then that answers the question
Unless there's a case interference with HE80 that doesn't exist with GT80.
but it at least works on the board/plate
wooting boards are accepting to a very wide array of magnet strengths so it shouldnt be an issue unless it is super super weak
can't be sure about that pink unionwell thing
unsure what the model # is to even try to find a reference
I mean they did a Unionwell sound test before
well there we go then
It’s impossible to get pink ones unless you use Superbuy

well that's pretty great that they're giving you the flux and travel specs
for the user wanting to know if they work, that may help.
i have the same issue here, i play alot of osu mania, and i have tried reconnecting the actual power connector like last time and it seems fully secured so idk
Guyyss is the 80HE light brigther than the 60HE? I got the white 80HE and the light seems to be stronger, but not sure if it's the light or the keyboard color 🤣
Should be the same
Maybe 60HE RGB is a bit brighter
Then it must be the keyboard color, I made everything a bit darker because it felt so bright hahaha
and it should get brighter when I get the tikkens haha
where can i download the wooting software?
https://wootility.io
For web based software -^
For application download if you want to -v
https://wooting.io/wootility
Correct
The 80HE has the lightbar, so technically. Also no 8khz polling.
i got the 80HE but why do i not have this role?
founder role
It was given to anyone who ordered the 80HE during the founder's campaign.
A similar role will be given to 60HEv2 purchasers in the next month or so.
OOOHHHH
got it got it !!! thanks for informing
IHasWooting is a role everyone gets for owning any keyboard. The others are time limited. 🙂
too bad i just purchased my v80 on the 29th 😭
yayyyy noted
also gekonoliseerd

i just bought a wooting 80HE
I just got the 80he (module). Every time i screw the top plate to the bottom, the keyboard stops working. Then I open it back up, replug the cable, it works again. Do it all over again and once i tighten the screws it stops working again 🫠
Sounds like the daughterboard JST cable isn't set in fully, and goes loose when you close it up.
That's what i would have diagnosed aswell, but I already tried putting it in as much as possible with finger nails. Thanks, guess I'll try again
Still the same issue. Sometimes the lights go out, then on again, then out again
I managed to close it and the lights are on. But when slightly touching the usb cable it can turn off
Did you make sure that both ends of the JST cable are fully in?
Yes, I did that on my last try. It seemed to be fully in before.
I think the JST is fine now, it's only that the usb c cable plugs out very very easily
Odd. Try another USB cable if available and plug it into a different port on the back of your PC.
If the issue persists reach out to Wooting https://support.wooting.io/
Pick the category and issue you need help with, and we'll guide you through the process.
Will do. Thank you!
Hi all, are the wooting keycaps on par with pbtfans?
What does the button do on the 80HE to the right of F12?
Swaps between current and first profile by default
I changed mine to cycle between all profiles instead
does anyone know how I can get the german keybinds I am kinda lost, I have the keycaps and at first I had the german letters like "ä, ö, and ü" (this is copied from my browser) and now they are gone and stuff like the hashtag is also not to be found
Change your keyboard language to German in your operating system.
Keyboards don't know what a language is. That's all your OS
Changing the keyboard layout of your keyboard on a Windows based machine is pretty simple, this guide will help you install and help you switch between them. In
it is set to german though
You're using the browser version of Wootility?
nope
Then it should display your keyboard correctly in Wootility.
so I somehow managed to fix it even though in wootility it doesn't show the right keys they now work as the key on the keycap
thx for the help
anyone have an idea when the ram usage feature will be available for the lightbar on the 80he?
Usually wootility shows the layout of the language you had selected when you opened it, if you change the layout afterwards it doesn’t update (at least not for me) I have to close it and open it again.
Hey guys im planning in ordering the white zinc case, what screwdiver should I prepare already to replace my plastic case w zinc
PH1. Just like the video guides instruct.
Oh thank you, sorry didnt Watch that one yet, probably should do it already to see if im even capable of doing that swap haha
guys why does my wooting keyboard skip on the c button

ro ck
Just ordered my GT-80 Case 🙂
I'm looking forward to it 🙂
Anyone here using jade rubys? Wondering if I want to switch out my tikkens for them
had tachyon mode off and it happened again, this time on J key. something is definitely wrong with the pcb
what colour
Anodized Black
And the Accessories Anodized red
what keycaps are you gonna use? The wooting ones?
I ordered Custom ones
got pics?
Just a pic from the design.
Just waiting to get sended
silent hill themed?
Yes 🙂
A Mix of Silent Hill and like Horror 🙂
Bloody themed characters
beri beri nice
Thanks 🙂
Unfortunately, it is difficult to find keycaps in the German ISO layout.
That's why Costum
Hello. Is there any information about the 80HE v2? Is it planned for 2026? I’m planning to switch up my setup next year. Of course, there are many companies with HE boards, but if Wooting will make the next version, then I think I’ll just wait for their keyboard.
80HE already has the updated MCU and polling rate of 60HEV2.
Unsure what 80HEV2 would even be.
80he came out last year, there wont be a v2
Yeah.
or not anytime soon anyways
One and Two came out and 60HE, then 60HE+, then 80HE, then 60HEV2
If anything, I'd expect a full size V2 before an 80V2
maybe a split spacebar option but even then itd probably just be called the 80he
That is something I'd pay for another board for.
Ok, thanks. Other companies release new keyboards every six months or so (RT 0.005 or 0.001). I wanted to know how things are with Wooting in that regard.
(RT 0.005 or 0.001)
is completely useless
those are just marketing numbers to make the keyboard seem like its better than it is
and it would massive increase the amount of unintended inputs with such low rates
I think I’ll just buy a new case for my 80HE next year. Good luck, everyone!🫡
what's the function key's dot for?
also how do I change the RGB colors for RT effects layer?
click on the dot to change the rgb
Preciate it
Hello everyone
What is the best sounding switch atm?
too subjective, listen to the videos and decide for your ear
I have the ttc kom lubed but I was so out of the scene I just wanted to know what is up
I really like my Wooting x TTC KOM POM (which I lubed)
my #1 pick is ws flux deep clacky but they’re more on the expensive side even if you get them from aliexpress
Yeah me too
I might have lubed a bit too much on some, since they feel just slightly squishy
just some do though
But is there like a stable and more pleasant sounding switches like the KOM
fluxes are really nice sounding and has pretty good stability
I'll check them out thank you my man
theres a sale going on 11/11 for aliexpress and here are some links for them
Wuque Studio WS Flux (Deep Clacky)
Thank a lot for your time bro
gotta save money where you can in this rabbit hole and getting more people on fluxes is always a good thing
Last time I remember people praying on the TTC KOM xd
praying?
Yeah like worshiping them
when the first ttc koms came out (purple and red) i hated how they sound
They sound fantastic you have a fine taste my man
they sounded so… scratchy
all ttc stuff sounds quite chattery pre hand lube
they really need to start lubing them from factory because with lube they sound 10x better
Yeah I agree
Sno what is your switches?
gonna swap em to the 60he v2 when it arrives but for now https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1431748454698323998
i don't really have a main right now because i test so many switches they it changes every few days
once some cf plates for split spacebar come out then i'll configure my spare v2 module as my main board though, but i need to get some keyboard stands or something because it's too many keyboards sitting on the desk
What are your top 2?
I wont tell wooting you betrayed them
i really like the sparks, but they need to be added to switch selector to function well
magnet is a tad weak in them
they're like an interesting mix of muted but very distinct bottom out
Hope they add them then
well i gave our product guys with the switch selector testing machine spare gateron sparks so they will have the data to add them
kbdfans isnt making a split space cf plate for the gt60 case
meh kdbfans plates weren't great anyway, i like keyboard fun shop ones
i think i'll end up with optimum again for my personal build lol
are they from aliexpress?
yeah keyboardfunshop is ali store
I'm so happy that you have the switch rating profile and uniform sound tests available. That's really helpful and appreciated.
will be case tests coming soon too, i got the gt80 already sitting in a box
I don't care too much about sound, as long as it's not stupid annoying clacky.
But the stability ratings and descriptions and videos are nice.
i can't really do it for 60he because there's 1827439198 cases for 60%, but 80he is doable since it's only like 5 cases or whatever lol
I can't imagine how I could improve on the 80HE zinc cases. I'm super happy with it.
AliE sale starts in 1 hour 20 mins woot
How do I get the role of owning a 80HE?
You don't. You get the pink one for owning a keyboard. Via our hub.

thank you
i am considering getting my first Wooting. I prefer the 80HE form factor but want the latest and best tech. Does anyone know what is the difference between the 80HE and 60HE v2?
Mainly form factor and the option for split spacebar on the 60v2
so if i get a 80HE with the new Lekker Tikken switches, it's basically the same as 60HE V2 expect form factor?
Yes
thank you!
Sorry 1 more quick question, is there an option for me to order the 80HE module without any case if I want to get say a KDBfans case?
Seems like it’s forcing me to select at least the plastic case.
you can remove the plastic case in the cart if you want, but i'd highly recommend you leave it because it includes the daughter board + usb cable
for $10 that's a really great deal plus having a spare case
otherwise you have to buy the daughterboard when you order the kdbfans case and a usb cable, which would add up to the $10 anyway
Yeah, it's better to buy a plastic case for $10, some people have issues with KBD daughterboard
Thanks guys, super helpful🙏🏻
Got my wooting finally 🥳
Honestly, all I can say is wow
This is better than I expected
is the zinc wooting 80he with the white case in the respawn store just a completely normal wooting except it has paint issues? or why can it not be sold at full price anymore?
It’s the v1 coating batch and we have a v2 coating that’s improved now
Purchasing the v1 version at a steep discount acknowledges that this version has a less durable coating and is not valid for warranty claims related to specifically the coating.
Non-coating related warranty claims are still valid for the full duration of the warranty period
oh so considering i dont really value cosmetic imperfections as much i should probably just get the case from the outlet store
Indeed
maybe im not realising something but when i pick the 80he+zinc case option i cant see what keycaps and switches it comes with
or do i have to buy them individually considering there are no options to choose from
Module doesn't come with keycaps or switches, prebuilt does
i saw the case flexes a lot cause of the gasket mount isnt this really bad for games that need precision or if u are just someone who clicks strong
The whole switch plate moves as one. So... no?
well i was thinking u would want the distance that your finger needs to press a button to always be the same instead of the plate moving down to make clicks softer?
i play games like geometry dash where i have to repress a button very consistently, i remember when my aluminium keyboard started to slightly flex it completely threw off my clicks
The 80he gasket is very stiff to the point that I can’t detect flexing at all in regular use. If I press a key with unreasonable force it gives just a little.
whats the best switches for wooting 80he?
pretty sure its just preference
go listen to tests, i like the geon raw they sound good 😩
ill see them
i wanna buy the 80he this christmass
good for you man
i dont know if its really worth it, because of the price tag. But i wanna get it
Do u have one?
i got mine TODAY, its so peak
oh nicee
i feel like its worth it so far, no regrets LOL
if you wanna ever drop more money WS Flux Deep Clacky are the best
I will get it then i guess, im saving for a iphone 17 aswell, so i will get an iphone 17 and for xmas gift the 80he
how much are them
on aliexpress its $77/70pcs
holy expensive
at least for the US
are they made out of solid gold
its $2 per switch from their official website
Planning on buying the 80he soon, would like to know if these keycaps would work with them
it should
Alright, thank you :3
they sound better than geon raws
3x the price tho no?
ive used geon raws, mmd c1s, lekker tikkens and those fluxes
well yes
its also roughly the same price as gateron jade maxes
#🔧│keyboard_modding message MMD C1 and Geon Raws
#🔧│keyboard_modding message Flux Deep Clacky
those flux deep
god damn
they are called deep clacky for a reason
77$ tho holy
im spending 200 on a keyboard for a reason
do yall recommend upgrading the keycaps? im gonna get the spanish layout (as im spanish)
this whole keyboard thing is expensive
i guess
what a tiny keyboard
i feel like theyre pretty high quality, but i wanna get a zero two one cause she bad
60HE
buying the v2 on the 6th
its so samll
wdym zero two one
if you want, keycaps are a lot about just the design you want
like custom zero two keycaps
keycaps can also change how the keyboard sound but i feel like that isnt as important as everything else
i js want some black ones that the rgb is good in those, like you get what i mean
they r kinda important tho, i dont want some really plastic hollow feeling ones
let me show you the stock ones ?
nice thick quality keycaps get expensive quick
are they nice as that?
theyre really ncie\
i havent really used the stock wooting keycaps at all
miku on the right ^_^
is this on AliExpress per chance?
holy alright
it looks like amazon no?
Amazon
its amazon
can i have the link please?
Sure :3
Ill send it in DMs
much appreciated

Is there a hardware difference between the 60v2 and 80? I’m planning on buying and enjoy both formats but just curious if one has more features than the other?
just got my wooting lfg is there antyhing i should do rn settings wise?
Mostly just some sound layering differences, but actual hardware wise both are very similar and both are 8k keyboards
Set it up how u want , I looked up yt tut for the fps games i play and i have one as a neutral for when i type or play games like the last of us
i see ill play around 👍
Yw man
Purchased an 80he, comes on Tuesday. I’m coming from a membrane keyboard that’s older then me hahah I can’t describe how excited i am
Got mine 2 days ago. I feel you.
Absolutely love my 80 HE. Everything about it is great.
If there's ever a split space bar PCB version, I'd buy it, before that would make it perfect.
Im just refreshing the tracking number and watching youtube unboxing, feels like a little kid waiting for christmas haha
Yeah it‘s comparable. Which switches did you choose?
Mine arrived last week and I was really excited beforehand. I then switched to the Lekker Tikken switches.
You ordered new switches during first week?
Yes
I believe whatever ones came standard, Lekker? I believe. Got that alloy case though!
I've used the 80HE for just over a year now, and I have 1 thing to really complain about
the JST cable is so short, I jist wish it was an inch longer
Pretty sure it's slightly longer with newer revisions
maybe because I have the oldest version of the 80HE
It's really annoying to take apart
The cable guide was also removed on the newer versions also
i wonder what revision we are on
I just got an 80HE the other day and can say that the JST cable was a bit challenging for me. I got it right the first time, but I did have to hold the assembly just so to get it right.
Yeah it was pretty tight fit when I built mine initially, although definitely not as sketchy as ripping parts off the PCB like when I built my venom
I can understand not wanting it to be too long though, because not tucking it in right could stress the PCB and crack RoHS solder joints on SMDs.
In about 3 or 4 Days my GT-80 Case with Accessories arrives 🙂
Did you get the carry case aswell or nah?
Sadly it isnt in Stock
But someone told me, that the wooting 80he carry Case will fit too
Indeed i have been waiting for it for like two weeks now, was just curious if you ordered before it went OOS or perhaps messaged them and still got it or what.
Good stuff either way.
Thanks
gt60 comes with one
Dont we all wish we had an extra inch
has anyone from the states ordered an 80he module recently? the batch for mine says "NA-Caterpillar 0" but this doesn't seem to exist in their website
I am in the US and recently ordered an 80HE module (and remainder of kit needed to build a Zinc board)
let me check the batch
Where would I find it?
if you put your order number into here: https://wooting.io/order-status
it should list it
I don't see "batch" anywhere.
I've received it.
ah i see, when did you order it and when did you receive? mine looks like a 3 month wait and i wanted to see if this was typical
I ordered it on ummm
10/19/2025 and it had a fraud hold placed by my bank, which I cleared immediately, but that caused an admin hold at wooting payment processing.
Because wooting was on Wootstock out of office annual gathering, they resolved that for me on 10/27/2025
And then from there, I received it on 10/29/2025
it was in stock at the time, so had it not been for the weird admin hold issue, it would have been automated and received on 10/22 probably
whaaat no way lol i ordered mine oct 18 and it says expected jan 11-15
rip
unless theres an error, it means its just out of stock and back ordered
that's so strange tho bc i ordered mine a day before
it is what it is ig then
u could ask support if theres an error
yeah i prob will just to check in. thx!
Probably a stupid question but how to keep two or one color of rgb in the keeb
shift click iirc
im assuming ur asking how to choose entire colours batches to remove?
I wanna keep one single colour and do a wave form
oh u cant
that effects only have preset colours
ye right now cycle and wave only have presets to choose from
I thought the zinc case came with a travel case, is that not the case anymore?
the case is the box itself xD
Box contains the travel case with the zinc case inside
hey guys my wooting 80HE is a jis but i have been wanting to make it work with a bigger spacebar so that i can get a better custom keycap selection
You'll need one of our JIS spacebar keycaps.
i am using it but the size on the jis is it 6.25 or lower perhaps?
4.5u
But in a not so common standard. It's slightly offset from most keycap sets you can buy.
okay thanks
80HE Split Spacebar Board Wen?
Let's see how the 60HEv2 split performs first
you should buy a few to boost the numbers
I can't help myself.
I think two metal case keyboards in a 4 week period is enough.
not sure you guys can help me with this but i cant figure it out myself, anyone know how to stop openrgb from taking over my 80he? i already disabled wooting in the settings.
But every boot it takes over my 80he and because i have it turned off in the settings the lights turn off. If i replug the 80he the normal rgb from my profiles turns back on. idk how to prefent openrgb from taking it over in the first place.
i pray for the day i can get a split spacebar on my 80he
id pay so much for a pcb with one
My work keyboard is so darned annoying that I have ended up carrying my 80HE to the office on the days that I'm in the office.
Why offices think that little flat chiclet keyboards are a good idea is beyond me.
gotta make it as loud as possible to bother your coworkers
It's an 80HE so it's not that loud at all
the spacebar gets pretty loud IMO, i put some foam in it to silence it
I did some lubricant tuning on mine.
that to, swapped the stabs and did some more lube, foam in it and its very nice
I am bout to order the 80he, I own the 60he and I love it but I would like to know from the people that already own the 80he what are your likes and dislikes.(Sorry if this is not allowed)
hello, i have a question, i have just finished modding my wooting 80he, i used the toronto keyboardman kit (left out the ixpe foam and all the plastic stuff), then changed switches with the geon raptors v2, and also changed keycaps with a dye sub pbt kat set. now my question is: is it normal that there is a very noticeable light bleed? i don't really like it, but i don't even know if i can fix it. if i had to guess, it probably comes from the housing of the geon raptors (which is red, and most rgb settings now have a red tinge) and the white plate. do you guys have any tips on how to reduce the light bleed?
You can reduce the light intensity and the bleed will also reduce some. Assuming you're tried that, it's going to come down to your keycaps and switches.
i did already reduce the brightness, and it did help a bit. the keycaps are opaque so i don't think they are part of the problem
Are switch tops all clear or opaque with windows?
here is an image of the switches, the top part is clear, but it's red-ish
is it also just easy replace from my Ghost case to https://www.aliexpress.com/p/tesla-landing/index.html?scenario=c_ppc_item_bridge&productId=1005009734973120&_immersiveMode=true&withMainCard=true&src=google-language&aff_platform=true&isdl=y&src=google&albch=shopping&acnt=272-267-0231&isdl=y&slnk=&plac=&mtctp=&albbt=Google_7_shopping&aff_platform=google&aff_short_key=UneMJZVf&gclsrc=aw.ds&&albagn=888888&&ds_e_adid=&ds_e_matchtype=&ds_e_device=c&ds_e_network=x&ds_e_product_group_id=&ds_e_product_id=en1005009734973120&ds_e_product_merchant_id=5556985277&ds_e_product_country=ZZ&ds_e_product_language=en&ds_e_product_channel=online&ds_e_product_store_id=&ds_url_v=2&albcp=23099391483&albag=&isSmbAutoCall=false&needSmbHouyi=false&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23104999604&gclid=CjwKCAiAwqHIBhAEEiwAx9cTeXKHrmL5PiTdN51llrhF68q8J3kt3Qu7Ah6XFaEp3XX_0cACOqtLRhoC6kcQAvD_BwE like zinc ones or is the build process different?
reduce the red(r) value on the rgb but this doesnt really have a fix
other using completely different switches that have a more neutral color or completely clear
i will try it, thanks
Alternatively, a black sharpie to the red.
Or an acrylic paint pen.
doing that for every switch
ok now i think the problem actually were the keycaps, i momentarily switched to my old ones and there was no light bleed
guess i'll stay at 40% brightness then ahaha, i really like those keycaps
I can’t post it in pets with all my other posts so you’ll have to enjoy the tikkens and the kon momo keycaps.
Figured that might be the case.
My 80he came in, typing on it now. My lord that sound
They're lovely.
Hi guy i got a "problem" , basicly my 80he with alloy case and those 10°angle keep moving foward. i mean by that i feel like the those angles doosnt keep the keyboard like "fixied" on my desk and when im playing my keyboard kind run away from my hand.... is there any other grip or modif i can do for it doesnt move by playing xD
Hello, if I get the ISO Spain layout for the Wooting 80HE can I add or remap the Shift+Key characters? For example, add the letter "Ç" to the keyboard or when I press "~" and the same "~" Key + Shift it gives me "^"? - from Portugal btw, with PT keys but no PT layout on the website to buy
you could try cleaning the feet with isopropanol and then cleaning the surface with a cleaner that's safe for the surface, and see if that helps.
Failing that, you could get a desk pad with an aggressive grippy bottom to put the keyboard on.
Is this a plastic case or metal case?
hi! welp i alrdy cleaned both surface but still keep sliding too easly. about the case i got the metal one
but it feels like when the keyboard is parallel from my screen it doesnt sliding that easly... but stil slide. When i play my keyboard is almost perpendicular from the screen i saw that the KB slide more easly. btw i never heard of a desk pad but if it will resolve this i surely take one
I also have a HE80 Zinc and I have no issues with sliding at all.
I'm on the 6 degree feet though.
and my desk surface is mildly textured
Take a look at "Non-adhesive CatTongue grips"
just under the keyboard though, not everywhere
can cut to fit
Il go look tjs for help
Hope it helps.
hi , i have a little question
i want buy holy80 case but doubt about the sound vs my plastic case,
is it louder than plastic?
plastic, holy80, zinc.. rank please? i',m looking the quite typing sound since in here is hard to find silent switch
Hello. I ordered a keyboard of your guys website and it’s not arriving to my house because of UPS and I’ve already been waiting 1 week and half for it and called them 4 times.
is there anything that you guys can do so I can receive my wooting80he, mechanical switch tools, wooting detachable usb-c cable set
Hello all, I have a question about the Wooting 80HE's USB module. Mine says "80HE USB v0.1.3". Long story short, my module is fried and I need a replacement. Do we know if another keyboard's USB module might work with the Wooting? Any ideas on sourcing a replacement module? Thanks
I'd reach out to wooting directly with a ticket.
Yeah reach out to support https://wooting.io/support
Pick the category and issue you need help with, and we'll guide you through the process.
That's not how keyboards work. Anything that happens when you hold shift or other modifier keys is something in the operating system, acting according to your chosen keyboard language.
Your keyboard just sends "key45" which the OS decides what means.
Anyone got some keycaps low profile they suggest that aren’t slippery.
i don't think low profile keycaps are compatible with normal switches
and using them on standard switches kinda defeats the purpose of low profile
if the reason why u want low profile is cos the comfort of flatter keys there are flatter profiles of normal keycaps id reccomend
Exactly ! Wording on my part was bad
pbs is a profile id reccomend
Im using the black and white wavy ones right rn that wooting have and i tend to sweat a bit and they slide all over
dsa is also pretty flat
Where would you suggest I look for those? Any website in particular
^ pbs
keyreative is the maker of pbs profiles, but they have vendors in other regions for shipping costs
Thats my cup of tea right there !
honestly just search the big retailers in ur region and sort by profile
PBS/DSA?
okay. I’m definitely interested, also does the preorder for the new wooting start Wednesday then?
In my opinion, the holy series has shit sound
Better zinc?
take a look in #1070668460905988106 for holy80 builds
with my keyboard leds set up like this one of leds thats off comes up as pink, any reason why?
Here's with the LEDs test profile.
Give the LED a colour, save, remove it, save?
Already tried, updated firmware, reset it completely, is changing the color to black the same as turning it off?
What keycaps r those
Rgb
These are cerakey matte white v3
cop or drop?
cop 🚨
cop. Worth it even if misfit
thought so it has like 2 scratches
I paid like 8 bucks less for the frosted plastic version, without keycaps, so definitely cop.
could probably touch up the scratches
cop, ven the 50% misfit is probably a solid cop.
is there only one, so its first come first serve?
is that only module and case?
I do not know. I hope not
the $231.99 is a complete unit
The $54.99 is case only no module.
so prebuilt with the switches and caps?
oh ok
The issue with it is the v1 white paint which has the above information RedRooster posted.
are you going to buy it before me
There may be more than 1.
i'm buying one later for christmas gift (if there's some left later)
From what I can tell, they're trying to sell off the remainder of the v1 white paint units with a discount and a full disclosure of the coating limitations.
the v1 zincs are great value honestly
They are.
i was confused cause i thought im gonna have to buy switches
I'd have bought one myself, but I was in a hurry and didn't know when the misfits would launch.
You got a nice keeb/pcb, nice case, and a nice travel case.
What's not to love (except for the blemish which can honestly be fixed)
The travel case was so underrated by me. I use it far more than I ever expected, taking KB to work. It's awesome.
we can swap every month
lol
hopefully we don't live far from each other
When I bought the unit and saw it online, I thought "Eh, I don't need that." When it arrived in person, I was impressed with it, so impressed with it that I use it whenever I take my KB into the office.
It's a lovely case.
only around 10hours of flight
travel case is included from what i read so it shouldnt be much of an issue
I really can't speak highly enough about the Zinc case, 80HE board, PBT keycaps, and travel case that wooting made. They're really good.
are you talking about this one?
yeah I actually might buy one of those to either strip and re-coat or to use to build a mold out of.
oh cool
I want to make one of those in solid 90% silver from melted down bullion coins. I'll probably do a casting and then machine.
and so having a spare case to strip and remove coating on would be helpful for that process.
how often do you have to lube the 80he switches especially if u use them a lot everyday?
I've lubed precisely one switch in my life, and that was more than enough for me
Maybe once every five years to keep them nice and smooth. If at all.
... I lubed all on my 80HE because KOM POM...
I learned a lot but it was a little tedious.
Makes sense, POMs are dry like a sahara desert
yup, I got some great advice here to be aware of that, and was prepared. I also wasted a fair bit of lube over-lubing until I learned exactly what I needed.
are the pictures just random or do you not get keycaps if u buy ISO prebuilt?
Keycaps are not included with ISO prebuilts, so that we can support many languages without exponentially increasing SKUs
asking this again since the last time no dice.
Yeah. It's because the 80HE doesn't appear as a Wooting product in OpenRGB (Go complain to them)
Detect devices - I believe it appears as a ... Logitech TKL or something?
Damn calling us Logitech... Savage
at least it wasn't razer?
i thought they fixed that long ago
Wasn't fixed when I got my Nollie and new fans.
I contributed to open RGB a while ago and from what I remember this doesn't make any sense to me.
I'll see if I can still reproduce this
Yes it does. But that's OpenRGB in a nutshell 😄
running some git build
i just downloaded the latest build from the website
Running what I was told I needed to, to configure it four months ago.
Back then the website build didn't work.
@hushed sinew pls fix
At any rate - Back then my 80HE presented as a ... corsair or logitech. And I disabled it.
ill look into
their Qt dev env was really annoying last I tried it
honestly this is a really good excuse to update this to use the new protocol we will be releasing, and most of the code can be straight from rgb sdk
pls make the code sane diogo sama
they are on 1.0-rc2 which is nice
maybe i can get this in for the first v1.0 release
what is a wooting two 60he
everything is wooting two since the HE/LE in openrgb
Did you mod your spacebars? Mine sounds very bad after a year. 🙁
Maybe needs regrease once a year?
So if I buy the Wooting 80HE with Spain ISO layout, as long as in my Windows I have the PT layout selected and I buy the PT keycaps, even tho the keyboard was Spanish I can just use it as PT layout?
Sure.
So I’m doing my first keyboard build and ordered the 80HE ISO Module aswell as Gateron Jade Pros, Gateron Ink V2 Pro Screw, Wooting Double Shots White + the Frost Case. Anything else I should get?
I also got the Lube etc aswell as a switch opener
Would you guys recommend lubing the gatorate switches and stabilizers?
Also is there really a difference between the regular keycaps and the high end ones?
i would lean more towards other switches that are already factory lubed as it just is easier and factory lubed switches are not expensive or bad
From my understanding the Jade Pros already come prelubed
But I’m not sure if the factory lube is good or not
It’s those here https://www.gateron.com/products/gateron-magnetic-jade-pro-switch-set?VariantsId=11136
Factory lube is fine on those switches no need for manual lubing
another thing i wanna add is the stem wobble on those is alot more than some of the newer switches coming out
i second this.
my hand lubed geon raws sound literally the same as the factory lubed jades i have
Oh I heard it’s from the og Jades
The Jade Pros seem to be the better of the bunch if I’m not mistaken. The maxes seem to get stuck keycaps
oh idk anything about og jades ive only used jade pros
Oh if you had the same experience with the Jade Pros then that’s kinda disappointing
well not that thier bad, but thier just not as good as some of the newer switches that have been released.
So what are the best ones you can currently get?
You can also check out switch database for sound tests, wobble ratings and other specifications if you're interested: https://link.wooting.io/soundtests
I could still send them back and get something else
there are no best switches
this is an amazing source though
There are switches with improved tolerances and cleaner sound than Jade Pros
any of the top 3 should be similar if not better than jad pros.
Around the same price or even less.
Also I'd recommend trying out stock stabilizers first, there's nothing wrong with them.
i will say, thier alot harder to tune, i bought type-plus stabilizers and they needed little tuning.
i could not get the stock wooting spacebar to a point where i enjoyed it.
but that could be a skill issue
skill or art
I’m getting a zinc white 80he with cerakey matte white v2 keycaps, what do you think about yours? I’m really exited
spacebar stabilizer tuning is like artistry
the v2 can often be off centered
they will hapily replace them though
but mine all fit perfectly, sound amazing
but ive got a zinc black, and man is it heavy
i go to move my keyboard and its like a boulder
Thank you for the share!
It’s very overwhelming and a lot of information for sure
totally
Is there a reason why the Geon Raws or Jade Pros are not showing there?
That’s great for me because my current steelseries kb is way too light haha
That’s good to know
thier just mediocre, not bad but not as good
They're not as good as those options
Tolerances are worse
Im surprised that some of those are so cheap
lekker tikken would probably be my recommendation if you want jade pros
Yeah, there are many cheap and good options such as Owlab Ti, UR Ice Ultra, Lekker Tikken
i got tecsee he and im super happy with them, although i upgraded them with 60gram domes, and they were like 110$ for all 90
they are nothing like geon raws or jades tho XD
Are walled stems compatible with the Wooting keycaps?
defintely should be
Yes
Wuque Flux "Deep Clacky" are very nice if you can order from AliExpress. Very good sound and almost no stem wobble
shafie any chance you have any way to help me with my led issue?
this one
So according to the list the Tecsee Tec Magnetic is the best overall but a silent switch, the Raptor V2 seems to be the best overall with sound and soundwise the Herz are the best?
Saw your post, but can't help sorry
There's no best, it's all preference.
all good not your fault
Mhmh
just becuase they have the s tier stem wobble doesnt mean a tier isnt bad
i would give geon raws a b and jade pros a b+
yeah I LOVE this about the Zinc case. It just plants itself and refuses to move, even for aggressive cats.
lmaooo
My cats knock everything off of the desk, but not this keyboard.
Nor the really nice silicon wrist rest; it's too much friction for them to overcome.
If you're searching for the best all-rounder, then it's Flux "Deep Clacky" in my opinion. As I said above they have a nice sound profile, smooth feel and almost no stem wobble. Price is the same as Jade Pros if you order from AliExpress.
Jade blue on the left, which are about the same as jade pros, slightly worse, tecsee he on the right
Thank you guys I appreciate it
I found an offer on the Flux for a 106
But it takes super long to arrive 🤔
Is it also viable to order keycaps from Ali?
My current keyboard is broken hence why I decided to invest some money in something proper this time
So that’s why it’s kinda a bummer that it takes so long
That’s great to hear haha
$106? That's pretty expensive.
Check if these listings are available for you: #🔧│keyboard_modding message
They should be cheaper.
They’re not unfortunately
The quality of AliExpress keycaps are mediocre most of the time, so it's better to order them from somewhere else.
Here's the vendor list: https://www.alexotos.com/keyboard-vendor-list/
Unfortunate, then get something else, because $100+ is very expensive :D
yeah sorry when i was saying i spent 110 on mine i meant it in a way like i overpayed
i would say just to make it easy order lekker tikken with the module
I got the module and white ones on the way already
Im currently just on a worktrip and trying to see what I can improve till I’m back home
ohh i see.
Just writing from the hotel room currently
GMK, PBTfans and KKB have some nice keycaps.
Wooting doubleshot PBT keycaps are also good, if you want shinethrough.
Oh okay those are the ones I looked at
I saw the X-rays from PBT? I think, they looked cool and were on sale
Like 100 bucks for the combo with the international pack
Switches I think I got the Jade Pros delivered today but I could still return them.
The Phylina Thunder Flash White also look cool
They’re under 40 for 110
And the list said they’re also good for rgb
when did you order? you may be able to catch them before they ship it and have them add them to your order
So it might be a consideration, have you guys tried them yet??
ohh if you got them they should be fine
its not like its such a difference you should go through the hassle
I ordered on the 1st
I mean I honestly just want a great setup I don’t have to worry about. It sounds annoying if my 400+ keyboard is wobbling
(Including switches, stabs etc)
They're good
Stable and good sound
Also cheap
@ripe wyvern are you able to order from here? https://torontokeyboardman.ca/products/wuque-stuido-ws-flux-he-magnetic-switch?
(theres an option for the deep clack)
Out of stock
thanks smarty pants
How much for 65 clacky
about 65
that might sound like a joke but most nicer switches are about 1$ per after shipping
spacebar has a lot more wobble compared to other keys in general, even on the same switches if you wiggle them like that
interesting lemme try another switch then
you should try with keys more in the middle, any of the alphas is good
yeah that works too
heyo I installed signalrgb and now I cant change my rgb on wootility
what can I do
I uninstalled signalrgb but the issue persists
Replug ur keyboard
👍
I have a sudden issue of my wooting 80he getting stuck on the A key OR the A key stops working completely and I have to unplug the cable to make it work again. Earlier today I unplugged all my PC wires to do some cable management and now I suddenly have this issue. Anyone know of any fixes?
Thoughts on keebmat?
Haven't used. Unsure of sliding resistance.
lol some funny marketing though, "thock.film" and "thockrings"
But I assume you mean the felt 80HE mat.
Unplug plug back in don't touch any keys for ~10 seconds and see if that fixes it
wootang
Do your legs hit the table legs being so far off to the side of the desk?
I'm so excited! Ordered the 80HE module with the frost abs case and Geon Raw switches, today. Think I'm going to throw MDA profile caps on it. Love my current keyboard, and my TTC KOM Magnetos, but not a fan of the 68 layout, the higher pitched TTC sound(love the lack of wobble tho, and sounds very crisp, but just generically high pitched to me), and Wooting isn't messing around with that 4yr PCB warranty/2yr LED warranty, or their software. Can't stand MelGeek's Hive software(How they handle RGB selection and analogue input settings). One look at Wootility(and the warranty) and I was immediately sold lol. Should get here in time for my birthday.
wooting's hardware is superb and their software is absolutely unrivaled. Love my 80HE
Enjoy your wooting!
Thank you! I plan on keeping the Frost case for a while before upgrading it, and just trying a bunch of switches in the meantime. Question, I like the sound of the Geons, but do longer travel switches lend themselves better to analogue key press setups since they physically have more range of motion? Not an answer I can find easily. I'm newer to this stuff.
whoops, forgot to use the reply feature, my bad
swap the geons for tikkens
thank me later
nope
is it normal for the small led bar to go pink? i got my 80he last year when it launched and i noticed that white part of my light bar started going pink over time
Hard to say without more testing. I recommend making a thread in #1019755933959733258 and testing the LEDs specifically. Removing any effects you have on the light bar tab, and testing all LEDs with pure Red, Green and Blue to see if there might be a defect.
does wooting has any kind of warrant for this?
led has 2 years warranty
Guys, but an order like this always comes with a 4-year warranty, right?
how do i fix spacebar rattle? i cant find a yt tutorial with a wooting keyboard
as long as you dont shoot it with a cannon yeah
you will need keycaps tho if you dont already have some
In other words, does the unassembled version, as shown in the image, have a 4-year warranty like the assembled one?
Already ordered
4 year warranty on functionality, 2 on the LEDs.
Here is how I mod my stabilizers. I get asked this a lot of my streams and honestly, I figured why not just record this so I can link this video instead of having to re-explain it every time. I hope you enjoy it. Please remember this video is only covering lubing and installing, some stabs like cherry clip-ins, you'll need to clip the bottom leg...
This covers manufacturing defects, not user accidents - If you spill on the keyboard, that's not covered.
Ah ok so it's the same
Obv
so i have to dissasemble the whole keyboard?
Correct
ok
For assembly, is that video on YouTube enough to avoid mistakes? Or do you have any other advice?
You have to remove stabilizers, balance the wires and lube them.
Sander's videos are great. I don't think I have anything to add there. We already went through it step by step internally.
But as Shafie mentions, modding isn't really covered in detail. I suggest doing the disassembly as shown in video and then asking in #🔧│keyboard_modding for additional steps for the lubing.
I was told that Lekker Tikken Medium are already lubricated
I was answering the other person.
And yes, Lekker Tikkens are indeed pre-lubed.
Ah ok ok sorry
Ok I'll take a good look at the video. If you have any questions about editing, ask here on Discord to be sure
I went and ordered the Owlab Ti HE Linear now. I found a store in Germany who sells them for like 50 cents each. The amount of variety is insane. Haven’t found a keycap set where I would say wow yet. They’re either very pricey 150-200€ not what I’m looking for or sold out/international kit is missing.
I might even order some more switches lol.
I also found a store that sells the Raptor V2 but after searching over Reddit I decided to rather go with the Owlabs. I also saw a post where people said the Herz switches are the next gen Owlabs, how do people know that? @sullen ether @lime falcon
Herz is basically a recolor of Owlabs with a lighter spring.
Hope you enjoy Owlabs, they're nice
Finding a nice set with international kit is a nightmare
If you dont want to spend an arm and a leg or settle for something worse, get blanks instead
For now I got the regular pbt sets
But I love what you guys are doing with your keyboards, they look awesome
This is a great looking set with international options
(I have v1 of it and just bought some extra stuff from here that is new/i was missing)
Ooh that’s a cool looking one, reminds me so much of a code editor
Is it normal to have to wait for so long?
It says it ships in May 2026
It‘s a group buy so it‘s not produced yet
So most people do these group buys online to get some keycaps? Sorry I’m new to this hobby
Is it just to get something new and individual or is there an actual difference between let’s say 30€ keycaps and 150€?
The vast majority of consumers won't participate in a group buy, this is a very niche part of the niche
But for those who want exactly precisely a thing, then group buys may be the only way to get it
Ive read that there’s ceramics too and they seem to have a special sound too but what’s the difference if the material is the same?
Ah okay yes that makes sense
Ceramic keycaps are very different sound profile because of their material
Is there a difference between let’s say one of those GMK sets and the regular Wooting keycaps apart from design?
I've never had GMK keycaps so I don't really know
GMK keycaps are known and loved for their vibrant colors, crisp lettering and good sound profile
Lots of cheaper aliexpress sets for example have bad lettering or inconsistent colors
GMK typically uses ABS. The actual colours might differ from the promised renders. Defects have to be checked on arrival, cause you can't typically get replacements later - One time production.
A $500 keyboard needs maintenance? oof
That clearly says modding, not maintenance
Why isn't my Lambo running? You're telling me I have to do MAINTENANCE on it? JEEEZ
Houseowners completely ruined at this news.

Yesh, everything needs maintenance
Person buys lambo. Lambo needs maintenance 3 months in. Yeah that's a problem
Could be worse, could be a Ferrari
No one said your keyboard needed maintenance within three months though.
Or a year. Or two.
Holup, are you 3 actually employed by wooting?
Please tell me wooting team tags aren't actually wooting employees
Buddy... #❗│important
easy order cancel. Cheers
What is the difference between the 60HE V2. and the 80HE? other than the size?
60he v2 has some sound layering improvements and maybe some minor parts upgrades, but besides that it's mainly the layout difference
So same switches?
switches can be bought in whatever you want really, since we offer module option with both. If you buy pre-built then 60he v2 comes with tikkens which most would say are the nicer, newer switches, but you can always buy an 80he module and pick tikkens in the selector
Do you know if there are any plans of updating the 80HE to a V2 in the near future?
80he already includes a lot of the upgrades 60he v2 is bringing besides the new sound layering
Is there still problems with the plastic pcr case for the 80HE?
there was never any problems with the plastic pcr case. Some people just didn't like the design which make it more flexible in areas, but the plastic used was always high quality
ah, was ot then with the zinc?
if you're worried about zinc coating issues, go with white zinc as that has the updated and best coating we offer right now
black v2 is still in the works
Ok. The same as on the 60HE V2?
60he v2 is an entire different thing, but the coating is very durable also
ok, im just very unsure if I should get the 80HE or the 60HE V2.
pick based on format you prefer honestly
yeah...
i like the v2 because it offers split spacebar, but that's a layout preference
yeah, i know
I love the 80HE. I need the F-keys under Linux relatively often.
But if there were ever a Wooting Three...
what is the issue with jade max switches
Guys I have a stock Wooting 80HE and wanted to finally branch out on one of the first things: The switches.
I am torn between the Owlab Ti HE and the new Lekker Klikken switches.
Which one should I buy and what are the differences between the two?
And also, what other mods are recommended to install/do?
They stick when you press them even slightly off center, it's horrible
Especially noticeable if you're doing analog movement with them
have a listen to both at https://link.wooting.io/soundtests and decide which you prefer sound wise. Also owlab ti he are shorter travel 3.5mm vs tikken is 4mm (preference of which you prefer)
Does that mean I can only press it 3.5mm deep? Not the full 4.0 mm
And what about other mods that are recommended next to the switches
yes, but our software will adjust to 3.5 or 4mm depending on the switch anyway so it's just preference
Mine react on 0.6 mm rn anyways so I dont think I need the full 4mm
well it's not about need but what you prefer
some people like the feel of longer travel, some want shorter travel. Just depends - it's not usually a performance thing (for most games anyway, I know some osu players love 4mm)
For a game where u only have to press 1 button do you think the 60 v2 or 80he would be better
Thank you for your quick answer(s), what about other prefered mods that can make the difference in sound & feel etc?
I know switches are supposed to be at the top making one of the biggest differences from what I was reading
Keycaps and plate
that's hard to say, since you can bind all 3 spacebar button on the split as 1 space bar
Any recommendations?
and each thumb has 1 key to press which can make alternating easier.
Or do we have a chart like this https://library.wooting.io/225eb39179848072869fdddc3b9ae808?v=225eb39179848012bc64000c9fe9d9c8 for keycaps & platings?
I like my FR4 plate, it sounds and feels nice. People also like other stiffer plates such as Aluminum or Carbon Fiber.
If you're looking for keycaps, then check out GMK, Keykobo, PBTfans, they have some nice and high quality keycap sets.
Nope, not yet
You can order 80HE plates from AliExpress. If you're not sure which one to get, then I'd recommend getting an FR4, because it's a balanced plate.
So does the zinc have less flex than the plastic 80he
I heard that even though I know that a gasket mount also causes flex
What are the plates used for? And do you have a link to the FR4 one from Ali by any chance?
ISO plates are not commonly sold
if you want iso you will have to have it custom cut probably
Yo
My switches are gonna arrive today!!! I’m so hyped
I like the concept of split spacebar, but I am 90% sure my left thumb would be exactly where the left spacebar end and that "..." key begins. Good thing it canm be replaced with conventional space bar key, but then it becomes more or less a 60HE V1. I would've preferred a longer left space bar, like instead of | SPACE | ... | SPACE |, I'd rather have | S P A C E | SPACE |.
HERE WE GO
now eat them
Bro I’m not sander to do that XD
sander built different
XD
XDDDDAGHSHRG
"Frosted Lekkers"
What wooting 80he variant do yall like the most black or ghost?
If I was going to buy one, black 100%
For a clean black setup id also say black
black
Ah man I can never access these
Can you send me a pic of the plate by any chance so I can maybe look for something similar?
Oh I think I found one https://torontokeyboardman.ca/products/wooting-80he-modding-kit?variant=44513538539715
The most powerful modding kit for Wooting 80 HE Click here for a build guide Exclusively designed for the Wooting. Now revamped for the 80% layout. Modding Kit only, Keyboard not included. Not compatible with other keyboards. Why mod your Wooting? Sound profile: fine tune your auditory experience; whether you like clac
They sound peak
for pcr case frost
Yeah, that's it
thoughts on these with the 80he?
nvm they are abs keycaps
does anyone here know any keycaps with these type of colours for the 80he with the iso enter cap
i do like the sound of they keyboard aswell
i regularly clean and lube my keyboard so the sound means quite alot to me
i have open back headphones aswell so i hear the keyboard more
Open backs here with abs and i love it but your mileage may vary
yes
ok ty
What is yalls opinion on cheap aliexpress keycaps? Whats the reason behind the huge price difference to "nromal" brands
havent been back in awhile, whats the consensus overall best switch now? still on geon raw 50gs
oh have geons been dethroned
They're alright, just not as good as newer options.
heard, ty
streets saying owlab ti's are better than geon raw
might cop flux's tbh
Deep Clacky Fluxes are very good, can recommend.
price is wild, looking rn for best option lol
They're way cheaper on AliExpress
double the price for what? geon raw best fr
yeah youll be super happy with the owlabs
check out drop for some keycaps they usually have high quality ones that are on sale for fairly cheap, i just got a set for 10$ if you can believe it and thier great.
yeah just got 90pc for 88$, ty for the recommend
If you like the sound of Jades/Jade pros, the deep clack flux is a deeper version of those switches but with better stability.
🔥
Is it possible to change color of my keycaps and case 2 hours after order?
i do so thats reassuring
youd have to put it on hold and contact support
or cancel and reorder
Anyone know of a fix for the Wooting 80 activating keys on it’s own? If I move my keyboard slightly, like I push it forward for example the space bar will activate or the A key gets stuck and spam non stop.
Yeah I was a former jade pro enjoyer and wanted better stability, these fit that bill pretty well. Former jade pro enjoyers also have been converted and love them, so they’re a fun time
Check if the internal cable is fully inserted
yup, check JST cable between keyboard pcb and daughterboard pcb
Failing that, there's some weird behavior with very small activation thresholds and tachyon mode. A user found a weird possible solution here: https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1435165042843582565
where you buy this?
The cable (Usb C) that goes into the keyboard feels very wobbly. Is that the one you mean?
No. Inside the keyboard
Internal cable
My ex got me it like 6 years ago 😂😂
Does appear to be fully inserted
Btw that power cable got me a headache, it took me like 15 minutes to install it
It kept popping off
ima dm their ass i need that plushie
Later batches have a slightly longer cable and no cable guide, making it a little easier
then i call them slurs after i extract the info @fringe pike
my 80HE that I just got was pretty snug on the first insertion, and required just a little bit of creative holding of the board and case (zinc). But it wasn't bad. Got it right the first time.
I think it was from like american amazon i believe
But it was a headache to get it from DHL
anyone know what type of screw head i need for the 80he?
ok ty
Cant remember how they called tbh
You need PH1 screwdriver
all good, i just keep having problems with the cable inside the case dont remember whats it called and the keyboard keeps disconnecting so i have to reconnect it better ig
ty bigman
Yeah i had problems connecting it, i needed to bend the wire but it kept popping off xd
thats 1 problem i had too but the big headache is it being like 0.1 cm off after a couple weeks/months of use and then dcing every couple minutes its insanely annoying
i might just tape that shit down or something
Frfr
i wanna get these keycaps. do you know any keycap set that has the iso enter?
is there possibly a video on how to dissassemble the zinc case
i cannot get the front off, at least not with easy
ok but the original 80he white zinc being a "misfit" and the same price of the new 60hev2 in the store is a god send. I just ordered my second 80he zinc for work. I have the original white zinc alloy currently at home and never had issues with it so this is like a steal to me.

oh sorry, I gave you assembly, which would be in reverse LOL
and you asked about disassembly, which shafie found
I got it, the zinc case seems a little finiky took a lot of wiggling for the top to come off.
But now I'm having a weird issue where the right keys aren't being hit based off the key I'm pressing
which keys are off?
idk it seems fine now
if you have issues with random keypresses, the first thing to check is the connection between the keyboard PCB and the daughterboard PCB.
it was really weird, like ide try typign and it starting doing things like searching in discord then pulling up emojis, i went to opera and it opened history started deleting tabs
yeah i reseeted the pcb cable that didnt work
i pressed hard on each key to make sure each switch was all the way in and i think that fixed it
... did you have the "Fn" key pressed down accidentally by chance?
noo i have the fn layer rgb on so it would have turned on
i think mabye ctrl or windows buttons were constantly on
but its fine now :)
the JST cable feels impossible...the cable in the youtube tutorial looks longer than the one in my case and trying to both have it actually plug in and also route through the routing channels seems a lot more difficult than it should be. prob skill issue, ill keep at it but feels off
edit: think i got it, we'll find out later 8)
edit2: nop cable is being very difficult, too stiff which makes it a pain to route through its channel so the pcb can lay flat like its supposed to
Forgot about yuzu keycaps can just make my own custom keycaps
this is all i need for the 80he right.. i didnt miss anything?
same i was tuning my spacebar stab again
my cerakey works fine upside down, but rightside up it is slow
still cant figure it out, no contact anywhere
I put a FR4 plate in and changed the sound insulation materials.
You might need stronger springs?
is it binding on other keys, or is it misaligned to the spacebar?
Have you tried other spacebars also?
