tikkens are 22mm springs, closed bottom, with reduced stem wobble and a deeper sound
if you're curious about the sound, both switches are also in our soundtest database, just search lekker in the database search and you'll see v2 and tikkens both have soundtests: https://link.wooting.io/soundtests
Hello can someone say me if we can put a bigger macro than 4 times on a wooting 80 he ? And if it's yes can you come DM to help me
when will those springs be available in difrent weight categories?
that's something product team is discussing and looking at but i can't say when yet
if i asume right the recovery time is reduced with 22m making them more bouncy - so it is a real difrence i would love to buy tikken since i prever deeper sound but i realy like 70-80g springs since HE Boards literly remove the negativ aspect of strong springs
i think for 70-80g long springs you'd have to spring swap as that's quite rare
i'm not sure if they exist anywhere yet in that long amount
i did spriungswap my v2 already;) so yeah
TX has 20mm 70g springs
they're out of stock on korean store, so not sure if they're reworking them or just waiting for new stock
Does anyone have white keycaps on theirs who can show me I wanna see what it looks like before I get some
#1070668460905988106 has lots of examples 🙂
Oh yeah thank you
just got the 80%, when im trying to hold left shift to run it keeps letting go of shift even though im still holding it down, any help???
Increase the rapid trigger sensitivity on shift key.
yeah that's fairly normal behaviour if you set rt on and have it sensitive
people don't realise they lift off slightly when holding left shift down for prolonged periods
it's why I often turn off rapid trigger on left shift
awesome thanks guys! let me mess around with that and see if i can fix it !
Select Shift, enable separate press/release sensitivity and raise release sensitivity to like 0.6-0.7mm.
i know what i must do but i don't know if i have the strength to do it
wish they made that case without the channels in the top
is there any color schemes you guys would recommend?
Anything that fits you're setup will look nice, recently ive been using a heart shape on my wooting while im waiting for my keycaps 😮💨
no rgb
trail effects
or aoe if u dont mind the epilepsy
Are the KBFans Holy 80 and GT-80 the only aftermarkt Cases for the Wooting 80HE?
This two are the only one i found.
solid color ftw
Ignore the windows background
its aight
i ended up taking it apart in my free time and cleaned it, unplugged the cable and replugged it and it hasnt happened since

although it wasnt loose, fixed my problem Lol
i just got my 80he
worth the extra 140 bucks of shipping and taxes? kinda
but it's the best keyboard i've ever used
live laugh love wooting
But can they be installed on the Wooting 80HE if desired?
Yes.
Ok ty
around 5W of power I think for the entire board, tachyon ON abd white LEDs
i think that's a lot for a kb
wonder if that qr is scannable
Hello i have a problem does anyone have it too? Or its only me? There is a led slightly on when i have the led bar on, im using original cable
It does change when i change the color of the bar, the only color that does not light on its when its on blue
lol banks website i think
hey all, its great to be a part of the wooting community, I have just one question. I was just about to put an order down for the wooting 80HE pre-built ghost along with the travel case I wanted to know if when the order arrives if it will all come in the same box with keyboard and all the accecories in the travel case. If it did that would be awesome so I just wanted to know. Thanks!!
I noticed the same issue 🙂
So - Only the Zinc versions of 80HE come packaged inside of the travel case. As you're buying a PCR version and a travel case by itself, they will arrive in the same shipping box, but in separate packaging to each other inside.
Different issue, yours isnt that the LED is on but it‘s light bleed due to the smooth lightbar on gt80 not having a blocker
So the light goes everywhere
OK I checked and you are right
Is a little bleed
you can reach out to our support with the images to get it fixed/replaced
Hello everyone,
I received my Wooting 80 HE yesterday and have the following problem. The keyboard starts whistling at approximately 46% brightness, and it gets louder the more brightness I increase. It's loudest around the "O" and "L" keys. Unfortunately, I'm very sensitive to high-frequency whistling noises because I suffer from tinnitus. Do you also experience a whistling noise, or am I just unlucky with mine and need to return it?
This is called coil whine and is inherent to the keyboard - a replacement would be the same.
Reducing the power through the LEDs (reducing brightness) is the only solution
I never noticed the coil whine, maybe i went to too many concerts without hearing protection
oh no 😢 thx for the info
It does fall into that infamous range that only younger people can typically hear.

I‘m only 25 😢
Congratulations on achieving Unc age
holy shit 25 is unc?
Yes
Anyone over 1,000,000,000 second is a boomer
(That's 31 years and change)
I celebrated my billionth second, I dunno if that's weird
Make a post in #1019755933959733258 and someone will assist you
hmmm i'm 42 😅
I can also still hear it. But I have very sensitive ears. I'm glad no one uses tube television anymore
Hey Mansen, are there any promotions coming up? I'm thinking about getting the 80HE soon but not sure if Wooting has been doing holiday deals in the past

I'll take the mod's word for it and buy one now then 🙂
We have not, and there are indeed no plans to do so either 😊
thats why the word typically is there as not everyone has the same hearing range loss with age
Can someone knowledgeable about Wooting confirm whether my profile is good for a fighting game please?
Code to profile is ab533c0776815bdc68923ba0f0a7a59bb7db
i mean does it work for you?
I'm not sure, I'm new to fighting games, would help if someone knowledgeable about Wooting confirms that it's logical for fighting games
it has to just be logical for you
the point of customization is that you make it fit how it feels right to play for you personally

Hi everyone ^^ I've the Wooting 80He since yesterday, and I have a problem with the noise of disconnecting a device sometimes in game or on the desktop, I tried the basic profiles, and the people profiles, I tried to deactivate the RGB, to reset the factory values, to put in USB 2.0 in USB C nothing changes...
hello i just bought my 80he and evereytime i connect it, and click on the esc botton its working the same as windows putting and the keyboard doesnt work normal i have to lock the windows botton and unlock so it can work normal again can anyone tell me how i can fix this, thanks
Do u have a ph1 screwdriver?
yes i have one who looks like it
80he has an internal cable that sometimes comes loose during delivery
i would try checking and making sure its connected first
Sometimes, you may need to fully disassemble your keyboard, whether it's to swap out stabilizers or replace components due to a defect. In this video, we'll guide you through the process.

I know your not supposed to use any force when taking apart the case but this middle clip just won’t come off
So close to just ripping off the top of the case
i've try the video but i didnt success to put out the cable JST and put in, the cable wont go out of the PCB... I dont want to insist on it
just make sure its fully in
finally got it can’t wait to use it
is there an difference between the foam/switch plate/dampening material on the 80he vs the 60he v2?
yo should i wait until the 80he v2 or just buy it now i cuyrrently have the steelseries apex pro
then for the v4
theres no announcment of the 80he v2 yet
so you will probably wait for like another year
i got the money but like is there any main difference
yes all diff
how so?
the lekker tikken is compatible with the 80he right?
Yep
I got it!
hey everyone just got my black abs 80he today and i was wiping some dust marks (with a dry cloth) off the top of the keyboard and apparently rubbed off the black from it (?) which afaik it's not painted
production error probs
just contact wooting, but i dont think they can send a black replacement btw
😹
oh sorry i meant black powder
idk maybe they will? cos its not the specific situation?
hey, not sure which channel I have to use but I just got my 80he, and i cant make it work so that the wootility web software controls my rgb instead of signalrgb. i tried disabling he keyboard in the signalrgb software but it doesnt seem to help and i still get the error that a third party rgb sdk app is controlling the rgb
restarted pc after disabling?
yes
signalrgb striking again(?) god why is it whats causing the most issues for us
is it working for you?
no i wouldnt wanna use signalrgb even if my life depended on it. they lost my good will years ago
but he biggest chunk of people with rgb issues are aignalrgb users
is there a better software? mainly using it to control the lights of my pc case
i personally recommend openrgb, artemisrgb or projEct aurora
all fully free and opensouRce solutions doing the same signalrgb does
just not always with the best UI yet
still weird that the wootility rgb is ignored even though you disabled the wooting in signalrgb and restarted your pc
клава дерьмище купил пожалел из-за корпуса ублюдышного
i assume you also tried replugging your keyboard just in case?
english only in this discord
80he piece of crap I bought and regretted because of the bastard case
ok
you can just use the 30day return period
unless you received it over a month ago
Is the Wooting One also compatible with the current Wootility software/app?
I need to try it out no doubts xD
Yes. But it does have some hardware limitations.
That’s not an issue for me. Thx!
guys should i buy 80he frost or ghost?
It depends on what you like the most but I would say as my own experience the ghost case
Hey guys I just assembled my Wooting 80HE and its so so good
What do I do next? I'm about to download Wootility
Bro, which wooting model is this? 80HE only has 4 keys directly above the arrows, and 2 above those 4.
its a wooting one, very old
I've been wanting to get a keyboard with 6 keys above the arrow, 80%
ohhhh
basically the first keyboard they ever put out
I think 80HE has basically replaced it in the lineup
gg, it's over for me I guess
It's alright, there's plenty of other tkl he board by other brand if you really want it
I guess. But after some research, I really want Wooting. See, Keychron also has HE, but after some digging, I found a page that rated them 1.7/5 with a loads of people complaining saying Keychron deletes feedback and rating... Which made me a bit worry about getting it from Keychron. Wooting's support is open for everyone to see, which after observing, it's likely one of the safest and most reliable brand to get...
Don't get me started with Razer, they used to be good but now they are trash. My last 3 keyboards from Razer all have issues within a year, Blackwidow V4 had issues 2 times before 1 year mark. I replaced it through warranty the first time but didn't bother the second time while it's still under 1 year warranty.
My kid got Wooting 80HE, but he doesn't code anymore, and it seems really good... I might just get another full size keyboard if they release another one
I have never got a keyboard from Keychron, but I heard it's a hit or miss situation where sometimes switches will be dead-on-arrive.
I'm currently using the steelseries, the Apex Pro Gen 3, the first order had issue where one of the arrow key is delayed and defected. Currently using the replacement and has not seen the same issue.. So I guess I'll wait for either a new full size keyboard or a 80HE with 6 keys above the arrows from Wooting.
So yea, Just been waiting for the next Wooting. Not in a rush or anything.
umu umu, understandable pain. Looks like you'll be waiting more in the meantime.
yea, likely. But it's fine, the current keyboard works well. I nearly got a Keychron 80% keyboard... But luckily I found the third party rating page in-time to stop me from getting it.... It's shady how they delete negative reviews and keeps the good ones to boost their overall rating to closer to 5 stars (max).
Just ordered aimbone80 hopefully its good :)
It is the Wooting One
You can get it on the respawn store
lol
hello everyone! who knows? maybe there were some leaks on streams about low profile wooting?

youre disgusting
Hey everyone 👋, does anyone happen to know if there’s a current discount code or any active promotion for Wooting orders? Thanks a lot! 🙏
No, and please don't crosspost.
@tacit bonewhat u mean?
Keychron is pretty 50/50. Razer is absolute trash everywhere.
Asus is expensive as shit
Wooting is pretty open, albeit expensive, you are paying for premiumcy
do i get the normal wooting cable if i order the module only
If you're ordering a module with the case, yes.
Aight thanks man appreciate it
yea, Keychron is like sometimes you get it good, and sometimes you get a trash keyboard.... Razer used to be good, before 2018. But after that, I don't know what happened, their keyboard starting to have double register issues, keys none-responsive issue. The keyboard I got from them before 2018 is still good in 2025, but everything I got between 2018-2025 breaks so easily with issues that's not just a defect, but a general problematic keyboard release.
I feel they must have some core member leaving the team or something.... The quality differences is huge.
Guys, do you like this type of key that I would put in the Wooting 80HE? https://aulakeyboard.com/it/prodotto/marble-side-engraved-keycaps/
anything razer is DOA
Honestly, after around 2018, Razer started getting a lot more reports about quality issues — especially with their keyboards and other gear. But to be fair, they used to be the brand for gaming keyboards and mice. Their older stuff was built like tanks, looked amazing, and pretty much helped shape what we now call “gaming peripherals.”
They were one of the first companies that really took gaming hardware seriously — not just RGB lights, but actual performance, comfort, and design.
These days though, it feels like their focus shifted more toward mass-market stuff and sales numbers instead of pure build quality. Maybe it’s cost-cutting, maybe it’s scaling too fast — but either way, a lot of people feel Razer just isn’t what it used to be.
blablablablehblehbleh
i am very anti razer
if i see anyone using razer im gonna do them a favour and throw it out for them
I will never buy from them again too, after the experiences I had with them recent years.
But honestly, they used to be god gaming peripherals, some of the best and most advanced in the world. Until they made some big changes that made them shit. I stopped trusting them and pretty much won't try their product for another 5 years or so
and yes, I can tell that you are very anti-razer.. Their products are made in a way where it's very difficult to replace parts as well. I think they are incredibly greedy nowadays.
So yea, your hate on Razer is well justified.
yea they totally weren't an absolute shitshow in like 2018
and then invested a lot of money into developing new mice that are literally next gen tech compared to the rest of the market
anyone know of any marble engraved keycaps that are translucent on black purple on black or yellow on black?
I had a 2-3 year period in my life where i bought Razer mice, then i kept getting dead LMB or RMB switches that double clicked in 4 to 6 months, but imagine that happening in a chain, maybe like 6-7 times total.
The first 4 of those were DeathAdders, each new RMA unit started producing it after roughly that same period of time, then tried a Razer Taipan white, same thing, then a Razer Mamba tournament, same thing.
I'm not even sure which mouse i ended this BS of a story with, but i got fed up with all that lost time and money and went to Logitech, haven't had that double click issue since on any mice i owned (and i collected them since like a madman).
No Razer mouse ever again!
sometimes when i plug my 80he in i get this popup
The wooting two he is full sized and really good
Does anyone have a profile for valorant or apex?
What do u mean
I know, I'm waiting for a new V2 to come out, V1 polling rate is only 1000hz, 60HE is 8000Hz. If they release another Two HE V2, it will likely be 8000Hz polling rate as well. So I'm just waiting for the new stuff to come out. Not in a hurry to get one, as the steelSeries Apex Pro Gen 3 I got is holding up well.
Interesting, I never had issues on their mouse, just the keyboard. And a lot of issues with their keyboard 😂
Well, now you heard it. For me it's the opposite, but i only have/had a Blackwidow 3 from them, until it's late life it had no problems.
Interesting... Do they have different warehouse making products for different region of the world? Maybe that's why? Honestly don't matter at this point, I stopped buying from them.
Interesting, I get this whenver I plug in my xbox controller to my pc when I removed anything microsoft related including the gamebar
Asus expensive asf but their new proprietary HE switches are definitely some of the best
Shame you can only get them in the stupid falcata
I’m just waiting for that juicy Black Friday discount
got a bit carried away when cleaning my keyboard 😅

yeah the pcb is a work of art
anybody tried replacing the silicone with cork?
Could I change tachyon mode rgb to something else other than its default?
If not hopefully this feature gets added in the future!
just wondering did u get any black residule when wiping the case down
i just received mine and im getting black residule on my cloth when i wiped it for the first time 💀
no, did you wipe it with rubbing alcohol ?
nope just water
with a damp cloth
only the top case is having the issue
I mean I just wiped it with a cleaning cloth, didn't add anything but when I first did months ago it did happen
i guess my keyboard is defective 💀
i reworded it
yeah when I first cleaned it, and from there on i just didn't do the same thing
yeah, idrk what it can be other than that it's made of ABS plastic 🤷♂️
just to clarify u used water for this too right
uuuuuuh.......
well I used rubbing alcohol FIRST WIPE and forgot that im not supposed to do that
oh- 💀
yeah ive never used it on plastic surfaces
i thought you could only clean it with high purity alcohol cuz water effects electronics
So how can i get my keyboard normal again? Nothing works and cant restart the keyboard.. error bootloader
Go in Remap and press Default
thanku...
Would You guys say its worth to buy the Zinc case white v1 for 60€ I use the ghost case actually
Absolutely
any word on when the 80he PCR Frost might be back in stock?
or is it no longer going to be produced in favor of different colors
Checkout will tell you
checkout doesn't list Frost as an option at all anymore but the product page for the 80he still does
Frost is module only
ah thank you!
im not experienced at all in this but i heard about the 80he needing to be lubed every once in a while is that something i just have to deal with or do the lekker tikken improve on this
Nah, you probably won’t need to lube Tikkens for a long time. The problem with the previous Lekker switches was the open bottom, the lube could leak out through the hole. Tikkens have closed bottom.
Factory lube is also improved
so the lekker v2 are open bottom?
x-rated switch pic 😳
Did the switch give consent for this picture
If you took enough picture, one of the switch will eventually give consent for it to be shared
whyyyy must this be what i seeee
erm anyways…
my saga continues. am i crazy for thinking the stabilizer keys sound weird?? namely spacebar and lshift and the latter has like. some clicky noise… is this my stabilizers fault, is it possible i could have screwed in the stabilizers poorly-? i feel like this has an obvious answer i just. dont know as im very new to this stuff. am using ur ice ultra
@lime falconHow does keebmat compares to a deskmat? Any difference?
sir that sweater looks so comfy
and filling my caps with dampening pad helped me
I'm gonna do the rest of them to see how it sounds
woaaa crazy cool customization
and pff thanks i guess?? they r handwarmers they r quite nice ! i should wear sweaters moree i just dont have many comfy ones..
i think the spacebar sounds ok now i feel like its worked its way in a lil more and maybe the shift needs to do that too it just like. sounds rackety. i dunno
to be aych i could have just been hitting the spacebar too hard so it was destined to sound weird but i am not sure
with the sound deadening matt in mine it went from sounding very clacky to sound alot closer to other keys
How thicc is a KEEBMAT? tells you why
I would recommend you try and get a sticky foam and do what I did it would help a lot
what happens if you add those or taped it to all the keycaps. Would that change the sound too?
Can confirm. Tried to lube the tikkens more and there wasn't any sound difference
Hi guys! Wooting 80he disconnecting and connecting. Can somoeone help?
Does it happen when you move the keyboard?
I think not
Anyway, can you check the JST cable inside the keyboard? It might be loose and causing the disconnect/reconnect issue.
- Unscrew all the screws on the bottom of the case (you'll need PH1 screwdriver)
- Remove the top case
- Lift the module
- Push both ends of the JST cable into the PCB/USB daughterboard connectors
- Reassemble the keyboard
This cable?
Yes
I wil when i came home. I tag you then later
guys help i bought the white frost case but it didnt came with black led bar that is supposed to be wrapped around
What are you talking about? None of the cases have any LEDs, they’re all on the modules only
Okay?
The piece of paper is to be removed on assembly. I'm genuinely not sure what the problem is.
The led blocker silicone piece is there?
its not 😭 😭
im missing it i dont know why
That's no good. It should be with/in the case when you unpack it.
You don't strictly need it, the LEDs in the bar will just light into each other a bit. You can put it together now if you want, and ask our support team to send you a blocker.
yeah how do i ask the support team to send me one? cheers
Every Wooting keyboard has a minimum 2-year up to 4-year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of shipment. This covers defects in workmanship and materials dur
Link to the wizard further down.
did it, hopefully this issue resolves quickly and i dont have to spend that much more anymore😭
We'll send you the blocker for free of course.
I just got my he80 and the usb port on the keyboard is very loose / cable very easily disconnects. Any idea what I can do about that? I've read that wooting sends you a new usb port for the keyboard or something like that. Its the only problem I have, otherwise I love the keyboard.
it probably wouldnt do much for rest of the keycaps, the larger keycaps have alot of space meaning more room for vibrations, sound dampening mat helps prevent the vibrations making it sound more muted.
What values do you guys rock on rapid trigger? Just got the 80HE, and I mainly play competitive titles.
Same as you. Works amazing. But i use higher value on Shift so i don’t accidentally stop shifting for example in CS2
Yeah I noticed i keep unsprinting in the Finals lol
Yeah exactly
I have mine in the middle of the bar
@dense lilyHigher value on shift on active and deactive?
Can you share your profile code?
71141b258bdcce2ae3987c250f1011c9bcf1
my bad, i have it like this on shift key
and if you feel like you accidentally release shift then raise the deactivation more. but this works well for me
Thanks
Guess what arrived today
nitrate bomb?
Yeah!
cool, enjoy
Tyty

Any thocky switch recommendations?
thock isn't a thing with he switches
Tikkens prob closest you'll get
fedex a whole 5 days early
Guys, does the Wooting 80he have north-facing LEDs?
All of our products do. And all of our keycaps as well if relevant.
can some1 send me the default rapid trigger profile for the 80he? thank you in advance
sorry to bother can anyone help me out with that?
why is it called hacker 🤪
Because its super snappy and fast hahah. With everything at high speed making me have advantages hahah🤭
Respect
I've noticed with the lowest settings even my W key keeps dropping, I guess I just don't press the key with enough force over longer periods of time..
do they sell that clear plastic cover on the plastic 80he, the metal one doesnt have a dust cover
Check the pins
so no official one i guess
Well, the official one is more of a packaging thing to keep it in place
Its not very strong plastic etc so i wouldnt wanna pay for it regardless
Honestly just get a nice looking cloth if you want something to place on top of your board so it doesnt get dusty
probs just gonna cut the lid off the box and use that ngl
But yeah if you want a proper dust cover you can get them custom on aliexpress, the dimensions you need are pinned in the chat
aight noted ty
Guys, is it possible to have South-facing RGBs with the Wooting 80he?
No

It just Happend rn Never was like that is anything broken?
Try replugging the keyboard
did
Is it possible to move the LED on the Wooting 80he from north facing to south facing?
No
Would it be okay for you if I got some side-printed keycaps?
Yeah, you can use them, just note side-printed keycaps won’t be as bright on the Wooting since the LEDs face upward.
Hey any of you knows if the zinc black case manufacturing process has changed to be sweat resistant or will it still have issues with particular PH levels?
If it’s not solved, have they ever said what are the offender PH levels?
We’re making steady progress on the Wooting 80HE Black Zinc case, working to make it better than ever. However, during our chemical testing, we ran into a few issues. As a result, we’ll need to adjust the formula.

Thanks!!
I swapped out the switch on my shift key, is it possible I installed it the wrong way since the light doesn’t seem to come through the cap?
It still works though, so no damage done right?
If you put it south facing, it will work, just RGB won't be as bright.
Thanks for the assistance 💪
I saw a video of the Wooting 80he from about a year ago, which said that the RGB had a maximum brightness of 70%. Has this changed now?
When Tachyon mode is enabled RGB brightness is limited to 70%, but you can unlock it and set it higher if you want.
Why is there this block? What was it designed for?
tachyon mode + high brightness rgb together may exceed usb power limits which can cause the board to malfunction
How can I tell if it's causing problems?
It'll be pretty obvious, keyboard disconnecting, random keys being pressed
Ok ok I understood ty
By the way, how do I properly remove a switch? I used the keycap puller and it felt super finicky.
If I ordered a Wooting 80he Zinc Alloy during this period, would it already be updated with this issue?
imo its better to unscrew the plate from the case and remove them from the back
Try wiggling and then pull from the south
It will be easier with a good switch puller, included plastic puller is mediocre.
Alright, but wiggling and fiddling around won’t break the switch?
Nah, it's unlikely to damage a switch with a plastic puller.
pushing them out from the back of the plate is quickest and easiest by a long shot imo, just be mindful of how force is applied to avoid stressing or bending the plate itself
I think they’re just pulling one switch, so there’s no need to disassemble the whole thing
does the 80HE not do 8k when using lets say an apex pro cable?
i can still modify the 80he if i buy the first option vs the assemble itself right?
it's still hot swappable right?
yes
does anyone know what the debounce filter specifically sets to when you enable it
it sets to filter bounces
Aftermarket cables from other brands.
We can't guarantee stability. Some cables are made poorly, so the 70% soft limit was put in place as a way to make most cables work to enter Wootility and change settings
Do you mean the cable to connect the Wooting 80he to the PC?
any suggestions for better switches than lekker v2 60? i want to upgrade to something better
thanks
Yes the USB cable
It should be good enough, right? Or is there something better for this factor?
@lime falcon
Which?
The cable supplied when I buy the Wooting 80he
Aftermarket cables. Non Wooting ones is what I was talking about...
Ok but why get a cable when you already have the Wooting 80he? With the original Wooting cable, I shouldn't have any problems if I raise the RGBs above the Tachyon Mode Limit, right?
Because some people want a different look or length? Our cables can go all the way to 100%
We just can't guarantee that with all other cables.
Ah ok that limit is for other cables. If I use the original Wooting cable for the 80he, can I safely set it to 100%?
Yes
Ok ty so much
How long is the cable on the Wooting 80h Zinc Alloy?
2m
Ty
@lime falcon could you answer this for me?
If you experience a problem, support will take care of you. The chance of experiencing it is extremely low
Ok ty so much
1/2??
Hm?
Oh you mean the 1/2 key under the esc key? Yeah, don’t know, came with the nordic iso layout
oh ok x)
Might be a stupid question. But if I put the 80he in a pretty high end usb 3.2 hub that’s connected via a 2m cable to my desktop would you guys think there’s noticeable latency?
No other choice since new desk is to big and I can’t route the stock 80he cable to my desktop. And my longer ones malfunction on tachyon mode
Is it a powered hub?
Yes, has its own power supply
Even has a 2.4a port.
Oh sorry the question was latency not if it's possible
No, no impact on latency
Thanks
No problem
Tachyon mode shouldn’t malfunction either right?
Shouldn't, but not something we can guarantee. If you experience symptoms of power delivery problems (random typing/key presses) then you could mitigate it by reducing led brightness
Noted. Thanks a lot
is there a way i get a longer cable for my Wooting 80he ?
2m is for me to less i need a longer one which supports also 8k
hey guys ! i'm looking forward to buy the wooting80he very soon and would like to know what would be the best switches for it ? (sound and feel, i don't care about RGB) btw i'll take the zinc version
Lekker Tikken
For more options and context, #🪛│modding_faq has the info
thanks !
The longer the cable, the more power loss. A very high quality cable over 2m would be fine, but the longer you go the greater the chance of the cable not meeting USB specifications
Are they also suitable for the RGBs in the Wooting 80h and Zinc Alloy?
Yes
Better than the default Lekker L60 v2 switches on the Wooting 80he? Then I wanted to check out the Lekker L60 v2 switches on them.https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1103459740186595399 but I can't find
Better qua rgb? Not sure there's much of a difference
Has even more switch info
In general, I mean. And why aren't the Lekker L60 v2 switches available at https://discord.com/channels/167181566978555904/1103459740186595399?
"best" is subjective. i havent tried the tikken yet (i want to) but i really like the geon raws. also available on wootings website. wuque flux are also great. but the new tikkens are supposedly really nice
any advice for finding a higher quality cable? most stuff on dutch retailers seems like cheap chinesium cables
If they have a more thocky sound, more durable and higher quality materials, and better RGB than the default Lekker L60 v2 switches on the Wooting 80h, I would definitely get them
It's such a wild west of garbage out there, I couldn't recommend anything specifically. Maybe when Linus tech tips launches their cable line they'll have long USB as well, but I don't know. I expect that to be available for purchase within the next month or so
the geon raws have great rgb from personal experience, but not "better" then my lekkers v2
they all shine light through just fine
Alternatively you can buy a 4k€ cable tester and check for yourself if the cable is compliant with the standard… then you return the cable if it isn’t.
ill keep an eye out for those thanks alot. would a usb c cable rated for thunderbolt work? since those carry insane amounts of data/power
you think i can buy those with klarna? /j
you are dutch right?
Yes
worth a shot? its megekko
Not sure, never used thunderbolt
Megekko has free returns, so try it and send it back if it doesn't work
gonna do that, thanks once again
Yes, but I want a mix of higher quality components. Are Lekker Tikken switches superior in terms of a more tactile sound, more durable materials, and quality, and do they offer better RGB lighting than the default Lekker L60 v2 switches on the Wooting 80he?
Oh wait, check if free returns requires a certain cart value (like over €50 for example)
i wil get the tikken then, hope we'll get some more sound tests than the short one we have on the youtube short
iirc they dont
I also think not, but I've only bought expensive components from them
@nova nexus what do you think about this?
i havent personally used them, i have tried lekkerv2 l60/45, owlabs He switches, geon raws and the latest i tried wuque ws flux (deep clacky)
the geon raws are my personal #2 and the wuques #1, although they are pricey and only 3.4mm deep vs the lekkers 4mm
i did notice the wuque flux give a kind of pink glow if my 80he is set to white from their pink shell
Well sound is subjective, durability isn't super relevant (we're talking being rated for 100,000,000 presses, a few more or less won't matter) but the build quality with tikkens is some of the best I've ever seen. (Definition of quality is the adherence to the specification)
wasd are the wuque flux with geon raws next to it, its more visable on camera then IRL but you can see the pink glow from the wuques, only really visable on white however
how is stem wobble on the tikkens compared to lekkerv2 or geon raws? i havent had the chance (or budget) to try the tikkens yet
i also value subjective opinions
thanks ❤️
Sure thing 😊
What is the most thocky switch made of good material for the Wooting 80he?
i dont believe there are any tactile HE switches as of now. all are linear.
Tactile is a very specific word in the switch business, I don't think you're meaning to use it
i used a tactile keyb for 3 years before my current 80he. i dont miss it and didnt have any issues switching to the linear HES
Can you describe it differently?
Those thick coax usb cables will be so expensive 😭
Cant wait to buy 3
Yes, they will. I hope that LTT is successful with them
one and only
I have not heard good reviews of that switch and wouldn't recommend it
However, I do support their attempt
Throwback to raeds ukraine post
holy shit didnt know someone even attempted
personally i dont see the need for tactile switches
and tecsee tactile
Da feel, some people like the feel of the tactile.
please help i cant find my w key
Sorry if this has already been asked before, but would you say its normal for my 80he to disconnect and reconnect with the slighest movement of the usb cable attached to it? I have the coiled cable and recently ive noticed I cant even adjust my keyboard on my desk mat without it disconnecting for a short moment then reconnecting
guys what switches are the best for my wooting 80he im trying to get that creamy feeling like really creamy u can fall asleep to it im hesitant with the jade max and the jade pro
feel free to refer to this #🪛│modding_faq message
My tikkens came in, it sounds so much better I just hope the sound profile doesn't change much over use.
would you say the 80he is worth it?
I think thats just the font
It lines up properly with the other legends
Not normal, no. Sounds like the internal JST cable is loose.
I'd first try the stock USB-C cable and see if it still disconnects.
If it does, then you'll need to check the JST cable inside the keyboard, it might be loose and causing this issue.
Spilled water on my 80HE yesterday. It was still working but when I opened it up today I noticed some white/green stuff on the USBC port. Is this normal or is it corrosion? It’s still working fine but is there any risk of longer term damage?
just bought it, ill let you know in 3-5 days
Make sure everything is properly dry before putting it back together. As for the usb port, the image is a little blurry so its difficult to see. Maybe see if you can get a picture that is more in focus
But if you‘re concerned about it i‘d refrain from using it while you contact support about this and maybe getting a replacement daughterboard
Phone camera sucks but there is some white stuff on it. Thanks for the advice about contacting support!
white/green goop is oxidized copper, while it probably won't cause further damage it should still be cleaned off
and yeah avoid letting any liquids sit around on the board for longer periods, it basically dissolves any exposed copper planes and turns it into green goo
I would not try and use that again personally. Not worth the risk compared to asking our Support to send you a new one at cost.
Not sure you can clean that enough to unbridge the pins safely
Gotcha, thank you! I submitted a replacement part request through the official site.
if you ever wondered why roof panels on old churches and such are green/turquoise its because they're copper
completely oxidized from moisture
Derp and the statue of liberty. Is that part fully waterproofed? Could corrosion have happend just from expore to humidity in the air?
for a circuit board its usually not enough with just atmospheric moisture unless you live in an extremely humid place
like rainforest levels of moist
Georgia, USA does get quite moist
the diff between the 80he and the 60he is just the size?
if you feel like you're actually getting wetter from mere exposure to the surrounding air then maybe its enough to build up on glossy/blank surfaces like a pcb, but even then it probably has to go on for days to really get going
the board also has liquid resistant coating that should protect from finer mist/droplets but solder pads and connectors can still be exposed
8khz polling and gasket mounted plate on 80HE, but neither really makes or breaks the product imo
zinc vs aluminum gt80, which one guys?
The official zinc alloy case from Wooting
About a year later and I am still enamoured with the zinc. Haven’t tried the gt80. I must say the weight of the zinc adds a touch of je ne sais quoi.
but zinc white and black have an issues, isn't it? or only black ? white normal?
Doesn't really matter. If your case has an issue, we'll help resolve it. Buy now or buy later.
Getting 80HE in a week, any tips?
Hey guys, was modding my wooting and noticed my esc wasnt working, the hall effect sensor was peeled off with the wooting sheet that explains the specifics on the back of the pcba, I was surprised since its soldered (or was)
Would this be covered under warranty?
Or like what would the warranty process look like
To be fair, every product has issues... the difference is when those issues will appear and how the company responds to it
Yes. Factory defect.
could i ask what the warranty process is like? haven't claimed warranty on any tech products so not sure how they'd go with solving this
You create a support ticket on our website and include some information of the issue. Our staff responds, and if replacement(parts) are needed, we'll ship it to you.
ohhh, i don't need to destroy the old product to ensure i'm not trying to scam?
Is there a list with supporting cases for the 80he?
omg thats amazing!
There's like...4 cases in total.
Ours being one.
I don't have a spare keyboard right now so it'd be abit devastating
Do you know the other of the top of your head?
KBDfans GT80/Holy80
AIM Bone80
Thank you
could i ask some things that might void warranty?
Does anyone know if there are any other brands with plans for a 80he case?
IIRC there is also one from NCase but that's sold out
ego80 exists too
i think thats all for now
so my "1" key is pressing "esc"
ontop of the key its remapped to, is this a common issue too?
hey guys can i make it so when i hold space it spams the key? or no
Hey guys, I'm looking to buy my first he keyboard coming from a not so good mechanical keyboard user, I was looking at just buying a stock 80he white zinc, should I do it over a module build? Ive personally never built a keyboard before and wanted some input
id say module
so that u can get lekker tikkens
instead of the standard lekker v2s
I see how is the lekker tikkens better than standard lekker v2s? I dont know much about switches
less wobble and a less "sticky" sound is the best i can describe
also getting it module does it include the other stuff like the traveling case if i get the zinc like the stock does?
gotcha, you are talking about Lekker Tikken Medium switches correct? Are they also lubed?
yes
wait wtf its not gonna be here for another 3 months (expected date is jan 2026) 💀 is that worth waiting for
Hey all.
Just a random question regarding the “Gateron Magnetic Jade” switches. I notice that on some sites they are listed as “Nuphy Gateron Magnetic Jade” switches.
Are these the same switch? Just a licensing thing for nuphy?
I ask as I have found a set in a store near me and want to ensure the compatibility is the same.
Thanks.
so i sent wooting an email regarding missing led silicone blocker and it will say they will get back to me after 2-3 weeks is that normal during this time of the year?
yes, most of their team is out on a trip right now
yes, as long as they are a magnetic hall effect switch they will work
Most (but not all) of team should be back Monday, but they’ll have to catch up on backlog of this last weeks tickets
Chill day for some new switches
yeah I missed 4mm travel distance and holy moly these are quiet
Heard Raptor crunch from the picture
Hope you'll enjoy Tikkens
I already am
Raptor he v2
Tikkens
Stem wobble difference
tikkens have bit more stem wobble but nothing you feel negatively. Tikkens sound more quiet and dull but feel much better than raptor v2s
Yeah, Raptors are just too tight and it affects the sound and feel. Tikkens are more pleasant

I didnt really like raptor sound plus i had spring issues
same
I ordered my 80HE on Wednesday. When can I expect delivery? It doesn't seem to be on its way yet.
Access and edit your orders, connect your discord, and manage your Wooting account.
"The broadcast was announced electronically".That means the keyboard is still in the Netherlands. That's all there is to it.
I just ordered my 80HE and realized the shipping address is incorrect, how do I change it?
It shipped.
For any updates beyond that, you'll have to wait for the courier to update on their end.
Can you hold it the hub?
think i gotta wait an hour for it to appear on the hub
"The shipment has been notified electronically" simply means that a label has been created and the data has been transmitted to DHL.
The package is not yet on its way.
Yes it has. They just haven't scanned it in yet.
This is an overview article of all of the potential problems that can occur with shipments, along with Wooting's policies for resolving them. What’s Going On? T
i can place it on hold now, does that allow me to change address?
You can create a support ticket for your or,der and it won't ship before it's fixed.
gotcha
erm
nvm i think im fine i just placed it on hold and change the info
What is stem wobble?
looking forward to receiving mine >:D
i just got my wooting 80he is there any thing i can get for the keyboard that will raise up the angle more? its too flat currently
nvm
im so silly i see the rubber pads now
you know how when you put your finger on a keycap you can move it side to side
thats stem wobble
is more than a week normal for a wooting delivery time?
hi, is there any way we could add more anchors to analog curve?
4 feels not enough for some games likes trackmania
Funny. Didn't stop it from causing massive drama and cheating allegations back then
I don't see a reason not to allow more if the memory allows for it. But that's more of a #1141096226884956181 thing if anything.
how could it be cheating lmao haha i know its forbiden on comps but lets be honest, 95% of players wont get there
It was considered cheating because it was a capability only accessible by specific hardware - pay to win
Last year I built a Trackmania Map with an incredibly difficult author time and posted it as a challenge to the community. The first five people who beat my time would receive real-life author medals and cash prizes. But, things didn't go according to plan...
Read Nadeo's statement: https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1ss3noo
You should watch me ...
It also wasn't disclosed at the time iirc? Its been a while since I watched t...there it is.
It wasn't intentionally undisclosed, but it was quite the controvery nonetheless
Right. Could have been phrased better. It wasn't mentioned up front. 😅

You're welcome to use the functionality, nobody cares if you're not competing at the highest level
not even in 10 years i could reach that level hah+
Me neither buddy, me neither
My goal each season is to get gold medals on all the campaign maps
I do not always succeed
at the moment I only really use it on the rare occasion where I feel like punishing myself with some star citizen
the wooting actually slaps for flying the spaceship
Just ordered an 80HE. First HE keyboard ill own. Are the Lekker V2’s alright? Thinking of getting Geon Raws later down the road
Just got mine a few days ago, they’re IMO better than any mech switches I’ve tried
Lekker v2s are alright. I'd recommend getting Tikkens later, instead of Geon Raws though.
you might actually be me
Looking to pickup some new stabilizers for my 80HE (year old now and getting sticky). Would these do the trick?
https://divinikey.com/products/tx-ap-long-pole-screw-in-stabilizers
TX AP Long Pole Screw-in Stabilizers are now here after popular request. Having all the features we love with the AP Stabilizers such as the doubleshot stem and wire consistency while allowing for PCB screw-in for a more secure mount. TX AP Long Pole Screw-in Stabilizers Feature: Designed by kin25 Version: Rev 4 Screw-
Yeh? I’ll check them out
have you tried lubing the stock ones? they’re pretty good, might just need a coat
If your stabilizers feel sticky when you bottom out, you need to remove the stabilizer pads, because they soak in lube and become sticky.
If you properly tune and lube the stock 80HE stabilizers, they’ll be just as good as third-party ones.
Guide how to remove stabilizer pads
Guide how to properly lube and tune stabilizers
Thanks @lime falcon and @patent drift - Haven’t lubed stabilizers before, will give that a whirl with the guide.
And where did you get that stem wobble in the video? Does it also affect the sound of the key?
I didn't make the video
Yes it can affect the sound of the key, but not by much
Ah ok but do you know where he bought it?

Been about 4 days, haven't got a response from the wooting support team, is this normal?
woot woot 80he
Yes, it’s normal. Wooting team was on their annual team retreat, so there’s currently a backlog of tickets. You can expect a response from them by next week.
Ah! I see, thank you for the notice
Fellow xray enjoyer 🤝
Until today we've been running a bit of a skeletal crew. I myself have about 150 tickets I'll get working on today.
Oh my..... I hope it goes well! When do you think operations will return to standard
It'll probably take a week or two before most emails are caught up entirely.
I see! Might be outside of the scope but is there anything I should prep to ease the process of my ticket? it's just regarding a broken sensor that was a factory fault
it also is accessible by every controller ever btw
or well, any dinput or xinput controller at least
should i get the gateron jade switches for my wooting? is it worth the upgrade and what do they sound like?
Not worth it anymore. Get Lekker Tikkens instead.
What's the difference between lekker tikkens and the lekker v2? Is it just the sound?
Improved stem wobble and sound
85, grab a 90 pack to have some extra
Last questions, so the switches already come lubed right? and to switch the original ones is just pull the old and put the new one right? (I guess it's like hot swappable?)
I never did this sorry for the questions 🤣
I have no idea on how to lube switches, and tbh I don't want to do it 🙁
Switches come pre-lubed, no need to hand lube them.
I'd recommend disassembling the keyboard and then pull your old switches from the plate. It's way easier like that.
Is there any video that I can use as a guide?
I found one but it's for the 60HE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnyG_a1kosg
You can skip this and just pull the switches without disassembling, but it's not that easy with the included plastic switch puller.
Sometimes, you may need to fully disassemble your keyboard, whether it's to swap out stabilizers or replace components due to a defect. In this video, we'll guide you through the process.

hey i've got a question, i just assembled my 80he with lekker tikkens and when i press the g key slowly it spams it a bunch, is it a faulty switch?
Unlikely that it's faulty. Try replugging the keyboard.
ooh thanks it worked 🩷
Did you test the lekker v2 to compare with the tikkens?
i dont have the lekkers, i bought the module with tikkens
but they do sound really nice, sadly can't compare them to anything else from wooting
Are these the Lekker Tikkens?
Yes
Ty
I got both, didn't know that they had the tikkens 🙁
I'll need to switch them, but I kind suck doing it 😆
Let's see when it arrives
hey guys how can i know which third party stabilizers are compatible with the 80he?
Ask over in #🔧│keyboard_modding 🙂
okay thanks!
Kbdfans aluminium case or Wooting zinc case for the 80HE? What’s the take of the experts
If the Wooting one was extruded and not die cast I’d have no doubts
1k and 8k
ty
i dont think it has any effect other than aesthetics no?
unless im blind to a realm of possibilities
I imagine the sound profile could be affected slightly. Zinc is also heavier than aluminium. Plus a paint finish in zinc will always be less durable than anodising
The new 60he aluminium process and finish is perfect
If the 80HE case followed the same process I’d have no doubts whatsoever
I like GT80 over zinc for modding and overall typing angle
And more durable coating
Yep that’s what I was suspecting thanks for your opinion!
Zinc is slightly deeper, but I don’t think it’s a crazy difference between the two
The thing that stood out most was getting a more natural typing angle and easier than dealing with 2 sets of screws
ANyone know if there is already a video online somewhere a 80HE + Lekker tikken switches? (sound)
80HE + Tikken short sound test - https://youtu.be/4oh51uEO9i0?t=159
60HEv2 + Tikken sound tests - https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ko0CE0cM-yY / https://youtu.be/4x29MIazPCY?si=8mJaqaaXlUDFz96l
For some reason my 80he loves to keep spamming the w key even when it's not pressed down, really odd.
that space bar is always so shitty lol
I have a question about my wooting
Had it for a long time, was wondering, can I make it behave like a keyboard? Some games detect it as a controller, and they are unplayable, and cannot use both the mouse and keyboard, as there is a delay while switching,
Can anyone help?
ohhh thank you!!!!
Disabling steam input on specific games can also help
Hey Guys,
does anyone knows, if the KBDFan GT80 Case will fit in the 80HE Transport Case?
hey guys I was just wondering if I could please get a hand with debounce function on my keyboard and tick rates
quick question...
for some reason two keys of mine are not lightnign up (led not working) and when i go to wootility exactly those keys are also "black"
any idea what the issue could be? hard to see but the y key is fine, the one left of it just has a green led that shines very poorly. the key next to enter doesnt light up at all
check to see if the little rubber light blocker needs to have its hole cleaned up
(I think it's silicon not rubber, but you get the idea)
I just got the keyboard a week ago and just noticed it
not sure what exactly im looking for but ill take a look
Let me see if I can find you the video that explains exactly what can cause it.
ok oddly enough
I disconnected and connected the cable again into the keyboard
and now both keys work
and also on the website those keys arent "black" anymore
Not sure what to say, I already said a week ago that I think the usb port seems to be wonky and not very firm
Those keys make it look like you have your language settings set to ANSI but you're using an ISO keyboard
I believe wootility always shows those keys that way
the keys work with the language settings ive put them to in windows
What keyboard is selected in windows
like on the german layout z and y are swapped around
its qwertz
also wootility breakt the spacebar into 5 parts
is that not the same for you?
actually nvm thats just from the rgb settings
well either way, simply replugging it in seemed to have fixed it
that's good
if a power cycle doesn't fix it, and if you've got the keycaps off like you did, and the LED was dead, theyll fix it (if it's identified early enough)
The trimming thing I was talking about only applies to the 80HE LED bar over on the right (the siliccon blocker) and not to all keys. So disregard taht previous comment.
they talk about the LED warranty and replacement clauses here: https://help.wooting.io/article/12-basic-troubleshooting
Are you experiencing an issue with your keyboard and are unsure of the cause? This article provides a step-by-step process to troubleshoot a Wooting keyboard. S
well all good, im happy with the keyboard. I just hope that the usb cable wont give up at some point
Are you on the stock USB or on the premium add-on one?
@cobalt merlindo i need a premium add on usb to get 8k hz on my wooting he

i thought this was about usb pcie addin cards
no tho btw
ok lol
hello does anybody knows what happening and how to fix 同
If you are experiencing your keyboard pressing random keys and opening programs, then you came to the right video. The issue is usually caused by an instable amount of voltage entering the board. Follow along to see what you can do about it.

Make a post in #1019755933959733258
thanks
I change them quite often anyway. 😆
😭 I can't wait to receive my 80he
me too bro me too...
UPS brings my clacky clacky tomorrow
Hi, can i use the 80he per usb c (on my pc) ? It doesnt work for me
Unless you have a REALLY old 2HE, then yes. You should be able to use USB C to C
a really old wooting two*
im pretty sure all lekker editions and 2hes are c to c compatible
Minato color
Dude idk how it sounds with the plastic case
But with the zinc alloy case this keyboard sounds amazing
Like ur average keyboard nothing new
I have the 80HE now. The Lekker Tikken are coming tomorrow. All I need now is a good mouse. Why isn't there a mouse from Wooting?
😉
pulsar x2v2 if u want something decently priced and amazing build quality/ preformance
hey, it keeps happening after a while of the keyboard being plugged in, for a temporary fix i just have to replug it but it does comeback and it gets annoying, is it a known issue or a maybe faulty unit?
No, it's not a known issue. I'd try different port on the back of the PC. If you still have issues after that, reach out to wooting https://wooting.io/support
Pick the category and issue you need help with, and we'll guide you through the process.
Weirdly I had a very similar issue only with my D key I noticed it was only the specific profile I had on the keyboard delivering that issue so I reset the profile and it fixed it
I’d highly recommend any of the scyrox mice or if you want something a bit different WLmouse make some cool stuff, then again I have a bunch of mice in my collection.
They want to make their products as good as possible, with the purpose of being an extension of the user. They are putting all of that energy into their RND, keyboards, and wootility
"Soon"
(Said in Spaceballs voice)
tomorrow, 80HE arrives for me to assemble
looking forward to lubricating and assembling and using
Everyone is excited to lubricate their switches until they get through a few and see the remaining 80 😉
Have fun!
Yeah, I'm weird.
FinalMouse
i love this fucking keyboard
same lmfao
i started understanding how rapid trigger works and how to set my keys actuation point and omg its insane
W
the software is beautiful
and the fact u can just use the website if u dont wanna download
im so happy with the purchase
for me, I want to download, not website, but yeah
its just super neat
Either way it's all stored on the keyboard.
exactly so dont gotta put extra stress on the computer
yeah, honestly, wooting's wootility really impressed me as I read about it
for me it's more about privacy/security
not something i considered but your def right
I don't want an app that runs constantly, monitoring my damn keystrokes
i got windows 11 so i have 0 security lmao
that's not totally true, if you disable all of the datasharing options, MS Defender is actually pretty good.
good to know ill do some research into that
just go into privacy & security and then to "diagnostics & feedback":
- toggle off "send optional diagnostic data"
- toggle off "improved inking and typing"
- toggle off "tailored experiences"
- "Delete diagnostic data" delete button
Then back out and go to "privacy & security" "General" and:
- toggle off "let apps show me personalized ads"
- toggle off "let websites show me locally relevant content"
- toggle off "let windows improve start and search results by tracking apps"
- toggle off "show me suggested content in settings app"
Then back out and go to "privacy & security" and "activity history" and:
- toggle off "store my activity history on this device"
- click the "clear" button for "clear activity history" setting
Then back out and go to "privacy & security" and "Find my device"
- Toggle off "find my device"
Then go to "Settings Accounts" and click "Your Info" and under "related Settings" click "Accounts" then click the "Privacy" tab and under "Manage your activity data" click on "Location activity" and clear the data.
Then from there go to "Browsing history" setting and clear data.
Same thing for "search history" "app and service activity" "Media activity" and "app and services performance data"
and if you're using Microsoft Edge as your browser, there's a whole other set of steps to turn off all of that data collection.
nahh opera gx
there's also a way to request MS to delete the data that they HAVE gathered on you to date
oh thats smart
but it's a PITA
and involves interacting with them
(and they're pretty stubborn about it)
they make a ton of money by having that data
hrmmmm, question for the 80HE folks, for folks that have had the JST cable be loose or come loose, and who have corrected it, has it become an issue again, or is it a one-time issue that may occur?
The JST cable should have 0 pressure on it during regular use.
that's what I figured
It's connecting two stationary components
but it seems that several support tickets have been related to it, and I was curious if this was an assembly issue on the pre-assembled stuff, user-error on the DIY/custom stuff, or if it was an inherent issue with the connector itself.
I would guess that many of those cases are from people assembling or reassembling.
I've seen countless people have to be talked down from the ledge of "it's impossible to insert this cable, I've tried everything!"
Engineer, so I tend to like to be objective, and look at the symptom and the probable causes, and then determine what I need (or dont' need) to do to address it.
Only for 20m later they say "nvm got it"
yeah I watched the assembly video 3x
so it seemed no different than any other connection we make in a PC or laptop.
(like I've done some gpu and laptop ribbon cables that were way worse lol)
ive assembled and reassembled countless times with 0 issues
Yup, just a little tricky due to it being inserted parallel w/ the board, and inserting it into the cable guide is tough for some folks.
Same, but not everyone has as dexterous little fingies as us I suppose ✨
I was leaning toward "assembly error by user" or "assembly error by contract/factory ~ QC missed it"
Probably a couple came loose during shipping or something, but my guess is those are edge cases.
and for me, since i got all of mine as components, that's a non-issue
it's on me to assemble properly and QC myself
is rgb sleep mode for personal preference or does it effect the lifespan of the led?
I've been using the 80HE since yesterday, and it's a huge adjustment for me. I previously had a standard keyboard. I especially miss two keys: Home and End. But I'm sure that's just a matter of getting used to it.
What I'm really impressed with is the software. I use Linux, and finally, I can fully configure a keyboard. I've never experienced that before.
You can bind those via the FN layers should you wish to. Or replace other binds.
Yes, I know that. But I think it will work this way too. 😉
You're definitely doing a great job. Other providers could learn a lot from you. I previously had a Razer Huntsman v3. It doesn't come close to the 80HE.

Finished my wooting 80he build
With TX AP Stabs, HMX Gamer Fuel Switches with Haimu Dove Silent switches on my osu keys lol
WS Gray Skies keycaps
Grey club grey club!
@willow frost would like this
ooooo very cute
perfect as a sleeper work build, then destroying game lobbies after
As per my last email, you've been absolutely blasted, pwned, you utter noob.
As per my last email. fireball
the haimu dove he switches paired with the included foams solved my issue with me playing osu at night being too loud
they also don't feel too mushy like typical silent switches
BIDEN BLAST
also got inspired by bc i remember watching @calm cape 's videos about the durgod taurus k320 tkl and the silent keypad a few years ago
(i just switched the tilda and backslash keys to the white variants in this pic)
Conkcrete club
lowk i wanna color match a piece of paper or smth
to cover the light bar on the right
no offense
nice clean font
thank youuu
hopefully this is a good representation of the silent switch (sorry for poor gameplay im washed)
Hey guys I was thinking about getting a wooting 80HE all white. I'm hesitant to buy it because of a hefty price tag and other cheaper options that can do the same thing as the wooing. Should I buy the wooting for its reliable Software and features or go with a cheaper option and return it if I'm not satisfied and get a 80HE?
worth it and comes with good 4 year warranty
you can also mod the keyboard later down the road giving the keyboard extended life
instead buying the cheaper options and most of the time cant fix it
for example if a switch "dies" you can easily replace it on a wooting keyboard
you also get free cat pics in #🐱│pets

Worth it. It's designed to last long and being supported for long.
Can't really say that for many keyboard
i dont know what happened with my keyboard but it just suddenly turned off and didnt turn on again, i have only had it for 2 months before it decided to not work. I have tried everything on yt. Anyone can help?
did you check the internal cable
what internal cable
i used the same cable on some other keyboard and it worked fine
80he has a cable inside that can come loose when a lot of force is applied sometimes
also have you tried the stock cable
and different usb port
i have tried the stock cable and a different port, even a different pc but still no life
everything looks fine to me
try to push it in on both ends to see if its all the way in
They are all the way in
Doesn't look like it's all the way in. Push it in more with your nail.
pushed it all the way in with a screwdriver and still no life
damn, i used allat money just for it to last 2 months
is it possible to just buy an replacement part?

Would it be cheaper for me to buy the module switches and key caps and a white case or by the wooting 80he and then just buy white key caps and a white case?
like a third party keycap set and white case or all from the wooting store?
I don’t know. I’m very unfamiliar with modding keyboards.
buy white keycap and case get into the hobby in this case or maybe your satisfyed as it is
honestlky i would never go white except of the above posted retro style i find it to clean and not suitable for most desks though black is more universal
about how long does it take for a response
with wooting its very easy
and they have a lot of videos in their yt channel explaining how to do it step by step
Today i replaced the switches on a keyboard for the first time. It takes a while, but it's no problem.
I just stumbled across the noise effect in the RGB settings. I think it's brilliantly done.
Ok I was thinking of buying the white key caps from wooting and buying a white case from somewhere else
yeah the wooting keycaps are nice i have the black and white set
I was thinking about the zinc alloy but it’s too expensive and I don’t need it
gt80 and holy80 cases are good options as well for third party cases if thats the route you want to go
Yes that’s probably the route I will go down, Awesome thank you Goku for the information 😁 👍
You could get the "misfit" one from the Respawn store for half the price
https://wooting.io/outlet
Interesting I’ll consider that when will it be available? I probably won’t get a new keyboard till December
In the US it'll be available in the next week or so
Aim was end of the month, but 60HEv2 launch prep is taking priority
switched ports to a usb a from c with the included adapter but the issue persists, i found out that i can completely remove it by disabling tachyon mode not sure if it changes anything. iil probably just contact wooting with it
If it's just a single key that exhibits this behavior, I'd recommend swapping that switch out if possible for another, or at least switch with another key to identify whether it's the switch or the board.
i've swapped a switch with a brand new one iil try changing it to a one that i know works
issue persisted after the swap
There’s probably something wrong with the hall effect sensor. It’s best to contact Wooting, they’ll get it sorted.
after pulling out the switches and putting them back in the issue got even worse? the static is now in around the 1.1mm area. the switch wasnt even fully in when i took the screenshot
make sure to replug the usb after swapping switches so it can calibrate properly
You need to replug the keyboard
had to replug it like 3 times but it stopped the static, iil see how long that lasts and then iil make the support ticket
you could do the multitap so that page up tap is page up and page up hold is home
similar things for end
I spent all day today fiddling with the keyboard and discovered that there are already default keys like FN+right arrow (Home) and FN+left arrow (End). That's perfectly sufficient for me. But thank you.
yeah
there is also the FN version but the tap vs tap hold multimode is also really nice if you would use it more often than the Fn +
Do i get my wooting 80he with the plastic base or the other one. Does it matter ?
personal preference
zinc base is heavier, more rigid, and will sound a bit different, but also cost more
Both function just fine.
Dose it sound a bit nicer?
totally subjective
Wondering how the 80HE stock configuration sounds like? Or how the PCR ABS case compares to the Zinc Alloy case? Look no further, because in this video you'll get the answer you need.

You can always get a 3rd party case later ^^^^^
That’s at least what I’m going to do
issue came back, i made a support ticket waiting for a response. hope i dont have to send the unit back 🙏
Unfortunately it certainly sounds like the PCBA. Good news is that Wooting support is great.
am also super excited, HE80 arrives in a few hours
wooting cases are nice as well
but yes theres a lot of great options for the 80 he
What is the difference between all these key caps?
I see my own message notification
lol
Difference is in color, legends, and compatibility
ok tysm
i need help i unplugged my wooting 80 he while it was on and now it wont turn on if i plug back in
just restart your computer, it may have alocated bandwidth to something else and doesnt have enough for the wooting.
do you have alot of things plugged into your motherboard? via usb or pci?
anything with a high polling rate uses alot of bandwidth.
Today will my Wooting 80HE Upgrade Kit arrive 🙂
I am so nervouse 🙂
Thinking abaut the GT-80 Case.
Does this fit into the Standard Wooting Carrying Case?
Celebration time
More like building time 🛠️
Yes, I'm feeding the living room leopards and then it's off to build!
Have Fun 🙂
@sullen ether Thank you for the tip. That's not what was wrong with it but i figured it out. when i unplugged my keyboard it must of unplugged my pcb somehow cause i opened it up and it was unplugged.
Interesting but I'm glad you figured it out, sounds like it may have been a tough solve
Yeah since I've got a capture card and 4k mouse 8k keyboard if I have my computers integrated audio and integrated graphics on it doesn't have bandwidth for everything so something will stop working.
Luckily I have an audio interface so I learned to just turn off integrated graphics and audio and I get 0 issues
it does yea
Yay done building it.
Thanks 🙂
I ordered lekker tikken for my 80he. Do i need to disassemble the whole keyboard / pcb to remove my lekker v2 switches? Is there any manual or video to do so?

You just line up the little + sign above the switch and press down with centered force carefully until you hear feedback of contact.
